I have used Lauden Pharmacy for more than ten years. During this time my experience has been very good. When I have a question I can speak with Ray, the owner or another pharmacist and have always felt their attention and patience along with their expertise went beyond what is normally experienced at other pharmacies. Personally, I will not use Yelp to check out a business or practice as so many reviews that are negative don't tell the whole story. I have heard of people trashing businesses for fun, or because of a personal issue. I am sure the good experiences would far out number the bad In regards to Lauden Pharmacy. read more

Location was difficult to find. The front desk girl was a joke. I told her I was picking up meds for my cat. She asked my last name I told her asked my first name I told her she kept saying no you aren't here sorry. She asked Again my first name I told her and told her they called me to tell me the script was ready she said no not here and I said for my cat? Socks she was oh yes it's here but not you. Are you freaking kidding me? She knew I was picking up for my cat. Then I asked to speak to a pharmacist about the med she said ok I was standing there looking and the ridiculously high priced supplements finally I am like is the pharmacist going to come talk to me? Her response about what? I said the meds she is like oh you want to do that now? I said no maybe next week sometime she looked at the screen frantically looking for a way to enter that and finally said I am not sure how to schedule it I was like please go get the pharmacist now please. She told me to go to the next window I did stood there a couple of minutes until someone realized I was there same over and said can I help you? I was like yes I am trying to speak to a pharmacist they didn't know what it was for finally they got the med from the little girl up front. The actual pharmacist was pleasant and knowledgeable thank goodness or I would not have given my cat the meds. I think either the girl was high as all get out or she was honestly that incapable. I do not recommend this place at all. In fact I told the pharmacist she needed to get a different job in a different place. The only reason this even gets two stars was because of her. I honestly felt as though I had lost brain cells trying to communicate with the front desk girl. read more

My regular Pharmacy informed me that the prescription I need for a life time, starting after surgery, would be 385.00. After insurance, a copay of only 190.00! Lauden did it for 50.00! They were unable to fill it within the 30 minutes I called it in but who really expects miracles. It was ready within 24 hrs and I am fine with that. Friendly and helpful staff that really "checks" to get the correct information and not have me fly down there at 4:20, because it wouldn't be ready till 5pm. TY! read more

Owner has apologized for the staff that I criticized some years ago, Then my doc sent me back there and I have to say, people were much friendlier, but at times they don't seem to know what's going on and they can be slow. Very limited hours and prices are too high. Many of us are coming to understand bio identical hormones are key to health and there is no reason to charge so much for these preparations. I recently had a very bad experience with this pharmacy. I have been tapering slowly off a medication. Each small drop in dose is critical and is followed by withdrawal type side effects. I carefully explained this sensitivity to the pharmacy.The pharmacy assured me they would be able to provide capsules of the low dose I needed. My doctor provided the prescription. A week or so after taking the capsules compounded by this pharmacy I was having extreme withdrawal symptoms. This confused because the capsules were supposed to be exactly the same level of medication I had been on for several months. I decided to weigh the capsules using a micro gram scale. The extremely accurate scale revealed an alarming difference in the weight of medication in each capsule. Since I had explained how very critical it was that the dose be accurate, I fault Lauden Pharmacy for failing to tell me that they cannot gaurantee the level of medication in each capsule be consistant. I am still suffering the consequences of their carelessness. read more

I've been using Lauden Pham for 5 years and have found them unfailingly polite and helpful. Usually I pick up my prescription, but one summer I was driving from SC to Minnesota and left cooler containing prescription med at a rest stop. Called Lauden and they mailed me a replacement which I received in MN in a couple of days. Have never had a single unpleasant or unhelpful or impolite experience with them. read more

The worst! They almost never have anything ready even when you've called days or even a week ahead. They can't do anything on the spot. Don't even THINK of asking for that. On another note, when they do get something ready you have to pick it up right away or they put it back into stock and you are back to square one with the long wait and managing around their difficult hours of operation. I'm decidedly with the 5 Star reviews. I've used Louden's for over two years without any issue. Quite the contrary, I have repeatedly experienced gracious quality service. When I've needed a prescription sooner than anticipated they have gone above and beyond to meet my needs. Great job to all at Lauden's! read more

The service is very friendly and they try to be helpful. Unfortunately, it takes them way too long to refill a prescription. I have to call them repeatedly to refill the same medication even if I call several days ahead, I find out that they don't have it ready. read more

When I was diagnosed with Cancer - my mind was at first preoccupied with radiation therapy appointments, and many new life choices regarding diet, medications. etc. One medication prescribed for the radiation damage to my legs was not found at our generic drugstores. Someone referred Lauden Integrative pharmacy as a provider of a very selective drug. Over the past six years I have never had any issue regarding my much needed prescription. I have literally trusted my life through the specific pharmaceutical needs and now am a cancer survivor. I still use them for a specific leg cramp medication. They are the only supplier I have trusted and will trust till I am completely cured. read more

I have enjoyed being a customer....until today, the prescription I had been paying $31.50 for, suddenly is now $41.50!(without warning). As a senior citizen on fixed income (social security determined no cost of living increase this year due to great economy) I now pay an additional $40.00 a month for meds, and landlord raised rent another $100. After living and working in Santa Cruz County for 45 years, it appears I will have to find a more affordable location to live quite soon. read more

First off, let me say that If I could give this pharmacy negative stars-I WOULD!. They are awful. My daughter gets a compounded medicine because she is very young and since this is the ONLY compounding pharmacy in the area, my pediatrician called our script in here. Besides being completely overpriced, the front desk staff is completely incompetent. When I got in to get my prescription I waited approx 10 minutes for the girl to "look up" my daughters name, then to only ask me what her name was again? The staff gets lost in back quite often not returning with your goods for quite some time. NOTE: this place is Very small. So the second time I returned and went through the hassle of getting my daughters meds I went home and for a few days my daughter REFUSED to take her meds. I finally tasted the compounded medication only to find it was not flavored!? What? It was basically salt water and crushed up pills and tasted nasty. I immediately called the pharmacy only for them to tell me that they don't flavor infant compounds normally. I then explained that everytime I have gotten the medication it has been flavored and it says Strawberry on the bottle! She dumbfoundedly told me that I could come in and they would flavor it. I told her this is crazy because we live in the Santa Cruz Mountains and it is not convenient for us to "just come down" with a 4 month old. I then asked to speak to the manager for a refund. She then said she would speak to the magager. I said I would wait. She was very confused and then said he wasn't in and I could talk to him next time I came in. What kind of BS business is this? Do not go here unless you HAVE to. Soon enough I will not need compounded medication anymore and will be taking my business back to my great pharmacy in Felton-Rite Aid! Ugh horrible horrible pharmacy. Don't waste your time. read more

Bait and switch! I contacted Lauden and was quoted a price of $50 to re-compound 300 pills for my dog. The person who took my call checked with the pharmacist before giving me the quote. I told her I would have 600 re-compounded, to make it worth the 80-mile round trip from San Jose (I had to take 2-1/2 hours off work.) After I dropped off the meds, they called to say the price was now $80 per 300 pills. (That's a $60 difference for my order of 600.) The woman recalled our earlier conversation and confirmed that I had been quoted a lower price -- and when asked if that price had been a mistake, indicated it had not. Apparently they had just decided to raise the price. At my insistence, she spoke again to the owner, who finally agreed to compound just 300 at the price I had been quoted. So be warned -- this company does not stand behind its word. I am very disappointed, as my vet in San Jose had recommended them. I could have had them done for $84 for 400 -- much cheaper -- at Santa Clara Drug in San Jose. read more
