I can't imagine what happened with the two guests who gave low reviews based on the cocktail server, but please ignore them. The main cocktail server is Jamie and she is not just a great drink maker and server, she is one of the nicest people I know, period. I'm guessing she was not on duty the night that either of those guests were there, and something was going on behind the scenes. Anyway, I am a huge comedy fan, especially of local comedy and was bummed when I found out the former club in this spot was closing down, but I need not have been concerned. The Laugh Factory has made its Reno home just as fun and friendly as before and I am so thrilled that they have integrated local comedians as hosts and features. I frequent this club at least twice a month, and more often if I can. Some of my very favorite local funny folks are Dave Mencarelli, Pat Shillito, Drake Nelson, and John Ager and I have gotten to see them all opening for great headline acts. They also feature major national acts like Chris Kattan, Jamie Kennedy, and Paul Rodriguez. Laugh Factory also honors the 2-For-1 locals' offer, making tickets a super affordable $10! The club is open Tuesdays through Sundays with shows at 7:30p each night, and on Fridays and Saturdays there is also a 9:30p show so it makes for a great date night, group gathering, place to take out of town visitors, or just to go hang out by yourself and get your giggles on. read more

This place was so much fun and at least one of the three comedians were super funny. I was a little skeptical with the first two then it got better, which lead up to the third comedian being the funniest. It was our first time here! I had purchased the Laugh Factory Groupon deal months and months ago and ended up trying to go on the expiring day because time flew by. The deal happened to expire on a Monday and the Groupon ticket said: General Admission for two for a Sunday through Thursday show (fine print says closed Mondays)! Ugh, so I called them the day after expiration since they were closed and they said they would gladly accept the Groupon deal if we came to a show as soon as possible. We thought Tuesday would be quiet and a convenient night to drive downtown. The girl who took my Groupon ticket was extremely friendly, I think she was the one I spoke to on the phone. Prior to entering the door to the Laugh Factory, we had to guzzle our beers since they sell drinks inside. Not a very good price on beverages inside, I think $5 per beer bottle and $8+ for cocktails. The service was amazing and the cocktail waitress inside the Laugh Factory was always around and very hospitable the entire time. We can't wait to go back for another good time. read more

Was there Sunday night 8/7/2022 it was worse show I've ever seen. I've been here 15+ times. The opener was a gay dude who did nothing but crude gay jokes. Then complained no one was laughing. Next time try to be funny. The middle guy, who was from Tahoe was awesome. The headliner was horrible. Dude had rotten teeth and you couldn't understand half the stuff he was saying. We came here last week while on vacation in Reno. We saw Rob Little. His openers were Patrick Shillito and K.T. Tatara. The comedians were all great. Drinks were exclusive to the bar directly outside the door. The prices were not terrible and the drinks were great! This review is based on the cocktail service at the Laugh Factory and not the comedians themselves. I have been to multiple shows at the Laugh Factory. The venue brings in great talent and I always enjoy the shows the comedian performs. However, the cocktail service is bad to the point where I don't know if I want to attend another show anytime soon regardless of the acts they are featuring. Chris Kattan was one of my favorite SNL performers. My friend bought us tickets for the show at 9:30pm on February 27. I was excited to see him do two specific acts: Night at the Roxbury and Mango. The cocktail waitress came over and asked for our drink orders. We both ordered water and she seemed irritated it wasn't alcoholic. When she arrived with the waters my friend gave her card to pay which also was a huge nuisance for this cocktail waitress as well. She came back with her card and a copy of the receipt for her to sign. About five minutes later she came back and asked for the receipt. She stood in front of me when she asked and blocked my view of the show. Right as she did this he began to do Night at the Roxbury. My friend very politely said "I'll sign it in just one minute we both wanted to see this act." The cocktail waitress replied with "I need it right now". My friend said "We will give it to you in just a moment we both wanted to see this act". The cocktail waitress replied with "Oh you wanted to see this act?" And stood further in front of me and lifted the tray to completely block my view of the stage. My friend grabbed the receipt and signed it and gave it to her so she would leave us alone. The cocktail waitress snatched it from her and said "Next time I'll be charging you double for the waters and you will not be paying with a card". ...are you kidding me? Not only did I miss the act we both paid to see but we were also threatened to be charged more next time we attend. That is completely inappropriate. I work in a restaurant and understand that it can be frustrating serving the public; however, it's part of the job description. If you disagree with a customer you handle it professionally and tactfully... not like a catty middle schooler. You are there to cater to the audience and ensure they enjoy the show. You are not there to threaten them and essentially ruin the show for them. Comedy shows are live entertainment. I can't see that show at a later date or re-experience it. It didn't matter how funny Chris Kattan was from that point on. Our experience and our evenings were ruined because of the cocktail waitresses inability to professionally and politely serve us. There are multiple shows coming up my friend and I were planning on attending. As of now, we won't be back anytime soon. read more

His strength to connect people and welcoming the ease of letting go and to just relax is not only a gift, but an inspiration. If you can't smile and accept the humor and irony of life, then what's the point? He unravels tension and characterizes everyday struggles. His humor makes you realize, lightening up is okay. If you can't laugh at yourself, a situation, and ultimately accept truth, what's the fun in that? He awakens the souls of the crowd and puts on an outstanding show. He has passion. Grateful his presence in Reno, NV left a mark. I thoroughly enjoy watching his growth and hope to have the opportunity to see him this summer. This place was not fun, They had just 1 server for the whole room, which is sad, considering that the room had at least 50 people in it. Not her fault that she was so slow, she did the best that she could, they just need another server. The headliner was not funny at all, he made it a point to focus on 1 lady who didn't enjoy him and sat there stone faced the whole show. He offered to give her the money back, and focused on her, but why talk to her for 10 min about how bad of a time she was having. The other 2 comics were such Hacks that none of the jokes they said was funny in any way. If I didn't get my tickets for half price I would have asked for my money back. It's no wonder that they try and sell tickets on Groupon for $13. This place needs to get better and soon. read more

I cannot believe the debacle that went down and the lack of resolution opportunities available. I bought a groupon for the laugh factory via Groupon for $19 apiece (three attendees). Was coming up to reno for a separate engagement but was hoping to have a fun experience while here. Unbeknownst to us, Josh Blue was a "special event" and not available for the Groupon offer, even though the blackout dates were not listed on the Groupon. Further more, the entertainment director was not willing to honor the paid price via Groupon even if we were to pay the difference of the retail price of the ticket; this was absolutely unacceptable. The Groupon clearly states that any invested price should be able to be used, even beyond the expiration dates. What kills me is that with most comedy clubs, there is a two drink minimum. Why is this pertinent? Well, had the manager made some kind of accommodation, the three of us would have spent roughly $50 in drinks and tips, which would have more than made up for our ticket prices. Not only that, we would have been more than likely to eat there afterward, gamble there, etc. No more. Due to the lack of accommodations on behalf of the entertainment director, I will definitely be inclined to direct my business elsewhere. Very disappointed. read more

Best stand up comedy spot in Reno for sure! 3 different comedians every week, and they're all usually great. They have a schedule out front of the club and online to see what comedians will be coming and when. And I believe Reno locals get buy one get one free tickets, if not free then at least 50% off . Jaimie your cocktail waitress on 9/5/18 was a very rude dispirited person. My girlfriend asked for water not knowing it cost money... my gf didnt have cash or card on her.. jaimie poked her shoulder and said "you know that's fraud and you can go to jail for that.." for what not knowing water cost 2.50? I dont think we will be back because she made us feel so uncomfortable and we couldn't enjoy the show. Not sure who she thinks she is or why she works here... but I was disgusted and disappointed. I went to the comedy show for the first time on recommendation from a friend. I would give the review no stars based on the service but I did enjoy the comedian performing. To begin with, the service was slow and we waited about 30 minutes to place a drink order. A friend and I ordered drinks and the cocktail waitress dropped off the bill. When the bill arrived the waitress pestered us to sign it several times despite the fact that the comedian was in the middle of his show. We told her that we might order more drinks and would sign it when the show was finished. She continued to interrupt and began making rude comments. The horrible service made us not want to order more drinks and we left the show as very dissatisfied customers. The entire experience could have been completely different if the cocktail waitress was not unprofessional and disrespectful not only to the customers, but also the comedians. read more

This is by far the best entertainment value in town. We are locals and get a 2 for 1. There are 3 new acts every week. Other clubs in town are mostly local comedians and open mic acts. NOT VERY FUNNY. Also, comedians are all different so if you happen not to like one try again you will find that 9 out of 10 are very good. read more
