I used to love Laughing Planet but the last several months they have gone downhill. I noticed the food portions have really gotten smaller, but the prices have gone up. The food is lacking seasoning too. Counter help could use some training and realize without the customers they would not have a job. It used to be a fun place to go, and my friends and I would go a couple times a week. I hope they can get it back to the fun, happy, place they used to be cause I miss it and would love to bring my friends in again for our weekly lunch.

10/10 highly recommend every single time! We love Laughing Planet so much and are never disappointed when we visit. The guacamole is bright and fresh as if it had been prepared table side. In the past I have also enjoyed many of their burritos and wraps that have been equally exceptional as the recent Korean BBQ Bowl. Pretty much just go there, close your eyes and point to something. You won't regret it. I love the clean and inviting open atmosphere. There's alot of space for everyone including large groups. The artwork seen throughout the space is beautiful, bright and creative. As for the service from the staff, they are all so nice amazing people. We have never had a bad experience and always leave more than satisfied. I cannot wait to come back and try the small Thai burrito. It was a hard toss up to choose that or the Korean bowl, but I am very happy either way.

If you haven't been here yet...do yourself a favor and go! I had the Korean bbq beef bowl and it was memorable. So tasty! The staff are friendly and the whole restaurant is mindful of how to reuse. They are part of the green box program so you can even take your meal in a returnable container. My fiancé had the SW green chile burrito and there was nothing but a clean plate when he was done. It's fun art on the walls and bright color separate it from the rest.

Vegetatian? Awesome! ALL entrées can be made vegan simply by omitting or substituting cheese with vegan "cheese" and chicken, beef or pork with organic tofu or tempeh at no extra charge. Their chili and most of our soups are vegan as well.

Really really nice menu. Food is very fresh. We had a bit of a wait today, but the worker was kind enough to let us know that it would be 20 minutes or so. The bowls are flavored very well. I had the Thai and my partner had Korean. We got an oatmeal cookie to go for the road. It was so good. We nearly wish we had to, but it was a generous size. Definitely place to go if you like healthier options. Staff is friendly, and the place is clean.

Was visiting my sister in Reno who suggested we order delivery from Laughing Planet. We both prefer to eat healthy and clean so after looking over the menu, I was all about it. We started out on their website, where you can easily order online. I love this since I prefer to order online, rather than call in an order. I ordered the Bollywood bowl and a side of chips and salsa . The bowl was delicious. It was hardy, filling, full of flavor and healthy at the same time. The salsa is also good and spicy. However, my only complaint is the chips we got were mostly crushed into dime-sized chips. I don't know if it was that we got the bottom of the bag or if they got crushed in transit so that kinda sucked. I will say for the ones that weren't crushed they were a thicker corn tortilla chip so we may give it another try in the future. If your looking for healthier options but want to fill satiated then absolutely give them a try. You won't be disappointed. Next time I go I'll happily order something different from their menu again..

Having a tough protocol to follow and being restricted of so many items on the menu, laughing planet went beyond to help me customize a healthy bowl. Alegra was very helpful and patient while helping get what I needed. The place is nice, lots of seating options (indoor and outdoor). Make sure to try their beverages and giant cookies too.

I'm sad to have downgraded Laughing Planet and took a day to make sure I was not overreacting. Was looking forward to having lunch there yesterday (Saturday) and got there just a little bit after opening, 11:10 AM. I think I might have been the 3rd customer since opening that day. I was surprised at how dirty the restaurant was with food on the floors and food on the chairs. It was obvious that the restaurant had not been cleaned prior to opening. I watched a server walk past a napkin on the floor a few times and there was a poster on the floor that everyone was ignoring. It wasn't until another worker picked up the napkin. My tempeh burrito was good, no complaints, but my son's comfort bowl looked liked 3 spoonful of items were thrown in the bowl and did not look very comforting to me. Very small serving of black beans, rice, salsa, sour cream, avocado, and olives. Seems like the pride of ownership has faded a bit with this restaurant. Hopefully, owners and workers will get their mojo back soon because this place has so much to offer, healthy food wise and great vibe!

Sumac salad, missing cauliflower but great dressing
    Ryen B.

The menu here is everything I love. I ordered the sumac salad and it was delish- fresh veg and yummy dressing. It was supposed to come with roasted cauliflower but was missing from my order. B ordered the Bubba burrito which was supposed to come with chipotle BBQ sauce, but they were out. I understand that there are supply issues everywhere, but would have been nice for them to let us know. We placed the order for delivery on their website and got the email confirmation that our order was received and would be delivered in ~45 minutes. After waiting over an hour, I called and the person on the phone seemed confused about if they even offered delivery and how the delivery service worked. She said our order was ready and was just sitting there. For some reason they never bothered to call us to let us know that they were no longer offering delivery. We ended up driving over to pick it up. A day later, they kindly refunded the delivery charge. Good food but confusing service. Would try again, but plan on pick-up or order through a 3rd party app.

Laughing planet is hit or miss. Sometimes it's great, and your chances of this are earlier in the day... but they can get busy with a lunch rush. Evenings, well, that's usually more the miss as the food tends to be not so warm, plating is much less appealing, and certain dishes might be missing some items... but, it's usually less busy later in the day. I am a fan of the quesadillas, the burritos and the bowls. They have a lot of vegan options and you can also go with some good protein dishes as well. Tip: Ask about their rewards program, which they do not tell you about... ever, and you can earn free food.

When we arrived, we were seated immediately, which was a great start. The restaurant was busy, but no busier than many other places we've visited. After being seated, however, we waited... and waited... and waited for someone to even acknowledge us. Nothing. During that time, we watched our server attend to several other tables, clear dishes, grab items, and process payments. We also noticed two employees standing near the register. One of them looked over at our table multiple times, so it was obvious they knew we were there. Still, no one came over to greet us or let us know someone would be with us shortly. As we looked around, we realized we were the only Asian family in the restaurant. Whether intentional or not, it left us feeling overlooked, uncomfortable, and wondering if we were being treated differently. It was an awful feeling. Eventually, our server came to our table but never apologized for the long wait or acknowledged that we'd been sitting there unattended. By then, the experience had already left a bad impression. I was there with my husband and our three boys, and it was difficult trying to explain why we seemed to be the only table being ignored. Will we come back? NO I'm sure this restaurant has plenty of customers and won't miss one family, but every guest deserves to feel welcomed and valued. A simple greeting or apology would have gone a long way. As for the food, it was good. But good food alone doesn't make up for poor service or for making guests feel like they don't belong. Dining out is about the entire experience, and unfortunately, ours was overwhelmingly disappointing. I'm typically a very generous tipper because I appreciate good service. However, when a restaurant makes my family feel out of place and overlooked, it's hard to justify leaving anything. Respect and hospitality should be extended to every customer.

We had to feed a crowd at home recently and Middle Eastern cuisine suited everyone's fancy, so naturally Aladdin's was the call. Using the online ordering system was simple, and the food was ready right on time. My only feedback is that the items don't all clearly describe what you get or how the dish comes, and so I added sauces thinking they came on the side but really came on top, and paid upcharges for things like pita, thinking they didn't come with it but then finding out they did and I just added a lot of extra. I ordered a few shawarma plates, an Aladdin combo, and hummus, falafel, and babaganoush appetizers. Everything was delicious, but some items were a bit surprising. The hummus is was a bit on the loose side, and we actually thought it was tahini from the look, aroma, and flavor. My guess is the batch was made with a bit more tahini than normal. Still good, but surprising. The Aladdin's Combo didn't look as pictured on the website, where it looks like a very sizable portion of meat, with chicken in a reddish marinade. Though the chicken looked similar to shawarma, it was clearly different in flavor, and both it and the koobideh were delicious. I ordered extra meat and had expected it to be outrageously large based on the menu photo of the standard order, but what came was more similar to the photo itself. It was still plenty to share, but I paid additional and didn't seem like I got that much more. The regular portions here are large, like easily feed two people sized. We ordered one plate per person, but in reality could've split them all. Again, I love this spot and chalk this up to learning. I think some folks could get frustrated with this experience, and I def did to an extent, but I enjoy this too much to gripe.

Both were really good, and quite large...I, of course, polished my entire sandwich off and my wife took half home for later. - We've bought Greek cheeses, olives, bulghur, and spices at Aladdin's, both this time and in the past. It's the only place to find some of the things I need, and the prices are better on some things than even Amazon. - Service was really great. The person working let me wait to pay until after I had finished my grocery shopping, and she brought our food out to our table pretty quickly. Bottom line: Aladdin's is a go-to place for us...next time, we'll probably go again at a time which would let us enjoy lunch at the same time.

It was cooked exactly how I requested, juicy, flavorful, and easily one of the better burgers I've had in Reno. I'd give it a 9.2/10. My wife ordered the macaroni and cheese. She thought the flavor was delicious, but the sauce was a little thinner than she prefers, so she gave it a 6/10. Even so, she still finished the entire plate, which says a lot about how good it tasted. For dessert, we shared the apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream, and it was the perfect way to end the meal.
