This place had no contact service for a while after covid and I avoided it for that reason because I would rather sit inside to eat if I am spending more than 15 bucks. The woman at the door was polite and helpful though and did bring our food out to the car for us. The lettuce was bad. I had to pull all of it off. There wasn't much meat, also it was very thin. It doesn't come with cheese you have to pay extra for feta. The tzatziki was weak. I will not eat there again. But their service was good. read more

I love Mediterranean food This was a miss for me I ordered the Gyro combo It came in a 3 compartment styrofoam to-go container. Main meal compartment and 2 sides The main compartment had rice 4 big chucks of potato and shaved gyro meat The one side had a Greek salad the other side had salad dressing and tahini sauce side by side in the compartment slightly mixing together Plus 1/4 of a sandwich pita Problem: I was expecting a fresh large thick grilled pita, not a dry cold 1/4 piece The gyro meat was shaved so thin that light passed through it. I was expecting 5-6 big chucks of thick meat. Meat so thin you couldn't even taste it. The second side compartment with sauce had 10 mls of salad dressing right next to 10 mls of sauce. Not enough sauce to any flavor to the rice. Expected 50 mls in separate plastic containers. No hummus either. Hummus is a staple. Potato's were good I feel like I threw 18$ in the trash read more

We loved the food here! No interior shots because we arrive after 4:00. After 4:00 you need to either mobile order your food or call it in and they will deliver to your car. We started with the shirazi salad (cucumbers, tomatoes and onions in a lemon dressing) and for entrees went for the beef shawarma and chicken kabob platters. Order at the counter from a long list of choices. Today gyro lamb platter was my choice. The lamb, pita, rice, salad and tzatziki sauce all for a reasonable price. The lamb and pita were extremely thin. The meat was warm of course but too dry. Pita bread was also dry. Had both been thicker maybe each would have been more enjoyable. Sadly, a failed visit. But now I know that they only do take-out and online orders after 3pm. This was our first choice for Mediterranean food tonight, but ended up at Silk Road; see other review. Quality/Quantity - N/A. Atmosphere - Plenty of parking. Open from 11am to 8pm 5 days a week. Saturday hours are from 11am to 5pm and they are closed on Sundays. They must have a lot of curbside pick-up orders; approximately 5-6 spaces for it. Service - Failed. Walked up to the pick up window to place my order, but the lady said online only. So I scanned the QR code on the window and tried to order but there was an error code every time!! After a few tries, I went back to the window, but the lady never came back to help. She would have probably said the same thing again, online orders only... Just noticed that I could have called in my order??? Then why didn't she just take my order at the window? Price - N/A. Still my go-to place in Reno for chicken shawarma, and several years later I stand behind the chicken shawarma plate, which comes with rice, chicken, some potatoes, a small Mediterranean salad, a small piece of pita, and hummus and garlic sauce. In my opinion, this is still the best Mediterranean option in Reno. I still think 3 potatoes for the meal is a little lacking, but now I order a side of potatoes and split my plate into two meals, adding extra garlic sauce to my order because it's amazing. read more

I have eaten at Suri's once before several years ago and it was very similar; that is excellent. We recently had a small meal there about 3 in the afternoon. First, our host's hospitality and greeting was absolutely warm and welcoming and it never waned. While he gave us space and a measure of privacy he also could not have been more attentive. The ambience is that of a small, humble, spotless cafe. The efficiency, though, is almost without parallel. It was only the owner and one person in the kitchen yet our small order came out in less than 10 minutes. This time we had lentil soup and a gyro plate with a side of falafel and humus. He also offered us freshly brewed herbal tea which was delicious. I rated this experience a five because I simply had no complaints. The food was delicious; all of it. The service was excellent and the ambience was charming yet casual. I cannot wait to return. read more

Tried Suri's for the first time and we loved it! We wanted to do takeout which it turns out is the only option. You pull up to park, scan the QR code for the menu and ordering, then they bring your food out. Wait time was a bit longer than expected but it was worth it! We each got a falafel wrap and then split an order of cheese fries and grape leaf rolls. We've had other falafel wraps around Reno recently and these were better! They were larger, better put together (more tightly wrapped and not falling apart), and the falafel tasted like a higher more flavorful quality. I loved the fries, they are hand cut and the cheese was a nice touch, although I think they should have a bit more cheese added. The serving size is small, I wish we had gotten a second order. The grape leaf rolls were delicious too, we loved the sauce poured over the top! Everything tasted very fresh and was great for our lunch. Suri's is a nice mom and pop cute type restaurant. I am always looking for good Mediterranean food in the Reno area as I could get it in abundance in Detroit. I went in and started talking to one of the owners seeing the menu had many Peruvian dishes and I wanted to know if it differed from Lebanese he informed me that though he was Persian his wife was Lebanese and that was the style of food they good. I was extremely excited to try it. The food did not disappoint at all I typically don't finish a full wrap plus some fries however it was so god I couldn't put it down and finished the entire thing! I tasted the kebab and that also didn't disappoint the sandwich was full of flavor and the sauce to chicken ratio was perfect I will definitely be back! The service was great as we got there around 2:40 and noticed the dinning room closed at 3 and weren't going to stay to eat the owner insisted saying it's fine and to sit down which we appreciated as we had some time to kill. I was prepared to give one star because the front door was locked, and you have to order from outside. Inside seating wasn't available. However, their food was so good, I had to give them more stars for that! The chicken kabob was an excellent. They don't overdo it on the garlic, and they don't overload with spices. A recent school function overlapped dinner prep/meal time, so I caved and ordered Suri's online due to location & proximity to the school. Overpriced, underwhelming. We got such small portions of old meat and stale pita for what I paid. Super disappointed. I should have trusted my gut and went with Niko's instead. The kids meal has just shreds of overcooked, hammered chicken pieces, a few small pieces of cucumber and a pile of rice for $10. The so-called "meat lovers" plate had the same small odd pieces of meat, and literally 1 piece of *store bought* gyro meat cut in half. The pita I ordered to use for wraps was thin and stale, like it was cut & wrapped in foil days ago. About a tbsp of sauces accompanied this sad selection. I added 4 falafels and brought the total for this plate up to $25!!! The only thing we weren't totally let down by was the ice cream, but at $6 a scoop, that was a stretch. You'd have a really hard time convining me that their baklava wasn't bought at Costco a month ago, too. Overall, just a totally disapoointing experience for over $60! Long time customer but will never return or recommend me then to anyone. STAY AWAY. I placed a to go order for two chicken kabob plates. Fairly easy and simple right? Nope first we sat in the normal pickup area for 20 minutes while the clueless female worker just stared at us with the door open. We were literally the ONLY car parked for pickup. Next I get notified my order was ready and had to wait an additional 10 minutes after calling and leaving a message that we were outside waiting on our order. Still waited another few minutes until I had to literally walk up to the door to get my food as it was sitting on the counter getting cold. But wait there's more!! I drive 45 minutes back up to the north valleys where I love only to find out they have me the absolute wrong thing!!! While searching through recommended places to eat I found Suri's and decided to enjoy a meal for lunch. Not a huge fan of Mediterranean food but this place wasn't bad at all. I stuck to what I know which was a lamb gyro, fries, and of course a baklava. I even expanded my palate by trying the Persian ice cream. Not my thing, but I tried it! My main items were a hit and prepared as expected. To be honest, because it was a lunch break I would have liked to eat at the restaurant but I was unable to. Not sure if there was no restaurant seating at the time or dine in has been discontinued. Nevertheless, the gentleman who took my order was very nice, informative, and quick. I had to wait in my car for a a few mins while they prepared my meal then he brought it out to me. Maybe I'll do a call in order next time. Overall, average experience, but satisfied.
