Absolute worst experience ever. I used to come here RELIGIOUSLY from 2016/17-2019. I moved away and am back in town for a few days and wanted to bring my husband to one of my favorite places. After receiving sub par customer service at check out, I waited from 12:15- 12:54 for ONE smoothie. Keep in mind they weren't busy and there were probably 4 guests at this time. I will never come back and will never recommend this place to anyone visiting Reno again. read more

Not sure how my favorite spot for a quick bite can turn into somewhere I'd never recommend almost over night? But it seems that not only has the customer turned to dirt, but so has the food. Every time I've popped in over the last couple months my order is wrong or packaged oddly. One night my cup of chili to go was put in a cup, with no lid just tin foil and popped into a bag with no warning about the lack of lid. But my most recent two trips take the cake, I came in on a saturday evening a little over an hour before closing and the whole staff seemed to be rushing to close. They had already put away the soups and chilli for the evening and were putting away their cookies, I even received gores from a worker when walking in. I ordered two vegan bean and cheese burritos and paid extra for vegan sour cream and gauc. When I finally got home to eat my dinner I sat down to only disappointment when I opened the bag to a cup with two browning slivers of avocado rather than gauc on my burritos. No vegan cheese and less then a spoonful of vegan sour cream on only one of the burritos. Plus both burritos were made with the wrong beans. I did call the day manger who seemed as taken back as I was and who apologized profusely and offered two replacement burritos and two complimentary cookies for the inconvenience. I came back in today with my friend and we sat down excited for our burritos, when i went to order however they could not find my name and the night manager came over to help she was rude and i helpful but did get me two free vegan burritos. However it was almost like a waste of a trip. The burritos were so cold the beans were hard and cheese was unmelted. read more

I don't live in the area, but have been wanting to try this place for a couple years. I finally had my chance and it did not disappoint. I had the harvest bowl which was packed with so many different ingredients that every bite was packed with flavor and texture. I hope to encourage friends to accompany me when I return. Their minimalist eco friendly packaging is also a plus. read more

I love the food and I share the restaurant with my friends on restricted diets. Yesterday, I was taken back by the automatic 16.2% tip added onto my order when all the staff does is bring your order out to you. You get your own drinks, bus your own table. I'm not saying that I wouldn't have given a tip like that if they had extraordinary customer service when ordering, but I think that should be my choice not the restaurant's choice. Maybe just pay your people more money. The food is pricy. read more

This location used to be a staple anytime we came into Reno...unfortunately it has progressively gotten worse and worse over the last 4-5 visits. We were there this past Sunday, my wife ordered a wrap, I ordered a bowl, and our son had a burrito. The staff was rude, unresponsive, and couldn't care less about their job. The tables were a mess, the bathrooms were out of all paper. It was a pigsty. My wife is recently been diagnosed with a severe allergy to gluten and we made a point to a specify that to the cashier, who took our order. We received our food, it was decent (at best) and by the time my wife finished her food she was contemplating whether or not it was indeed a gluten free tortilla....within an hour she was having stomach issues and was up all night in pain from obviously eating gluten. We are beyond upset at the lack of care, let alone passion for the employees workplace. I tried calling the location multiple times to make a formal complaint, only for my call to go to voice message (with a full inbox) $50+ for halfway decent food, and a weeklong stomachache with a hospital visit? My girlfriend and I stopped by for a weekend lunch and really enjoyed sitting outside. I got the spinach and lentil special soup and highway to kale salad (1/2 soup with salad deal). The salad was a little overdressed, but I enjoyed the flavors of both. The peach berry chia smoothie was refreshing. I really like the vibe of the place: cheerful and fresh. Stopped in for a quick bite. Enjoyed their Amazin' Grace Quesadilla with added chicken. Filled with Corn, Jack cheese, house-roasted green chiles, pico de gallo and "Killer Green" sauce. Yes! Yes! Also ordered a side of guacamole. A perfect combination. Friendly staff are a plus. Parking can be difficult at peak times due to limited parking and numerous businesses in competition for them, so plan ahead and be patient. We will be back. Five stars today. read more

I love outdoor dining, and LP has the perfect mix of sun and shade on their patio. I'm sitting here right now enjoying the Crunchero ( third time ordering this I love it so) the restaurant is clean and the food is always on point. They are currently offering free samples of the Trail cookie which may be one of the best cookies I've ever tried. Love you LP! read more

We used to love coming here with the family for a fun environment, good service and great food. Do not recommend until management corrects the poor service, extremely slow ordering process, staffing, and overall poor customer service. Food preparation seems to have gone down hill and food was bland. Best part of the meal was the habanero sauce. Older cashier had no urgency, was rude, passive aggressive and unfamiliar with menu. There were very little customers in the restaurant until we showed up at 12:30pm on a Sunday, and then a long line formed that lasted our entire meal. Seemed like they were not prepared for a weekend lunch rush. We ordered and my wife asked about the advertised cocktails which we were informed there were none. She asked about wine and all they had was Black Box Cabernet which took 5 minutes for the cashier to prepare in plain view by twisting the last of the cheap bag of box wine into the glass. Super stoked they added queso to the menu but the chips were bottom of the barrel and crushed. I ordered a taco salad type dish and it came out with a bowl of black beans with hand full of chips on it, cheese and pico. When I inquired about the salad greens the same cashier said it doesn't come with greens. I showed her the menu and said it's the first item listed. At that point I asked for a refund and she took my plate to remake the dish. I wasn't hungry any more and was frustrated and just wanted to leave. After we finished our meal, my daughter's smoothie finally came out which was underwhelming and watery. read more

Here is an honest mixed review. My wife had the Sumac salad that tasted terrific! The menu stated fire roasted cauliflower, which we found absent. Regular cauliflower took its place. I enjoyed a spinach and black bean burrito which I enjoyed. Great flavors contained inside. The black bean hummus while very flavorful was more of a sampler portion vice a standard portion. I can't speak to the other location as I've only ever been to the one in Midtown. The people are nice and courteous... and you can even get a beer if you wanted. I always thought this was a good restaurant for vegan/veg/healthier options. I was wrong. Ordered the mini Thai burrito, it tasted like absolute cardboard. I know it's not that hard to properly pickle your veggies or season the tofu. Literally a PINCH of salt would have made all the difference. I took three bites and threw away the rest - it wasn't worth it. I also got the DIY bowl and paid $2.50 extra for extra protein and paid $2 flippin dollars for CANNED black olives to be added. So I paid over $16 for a tiny bowl that had no radishes (as expected from the menu), a pinch of protein (literally a tablespoon worth, even though I paid for extra) and SIX slices of canned black olive, that I paid $2 for. Honestly, it sucks because I thought this place was good, but I will never EVER be back because it's a massive waste of money. read more

Visited the south Reno location the last week of April 2023. The time was 5:30 p.m., on a Friday, table was for three. The food was delicious. I had highway to Kale salad. The other customer with me ordered the Jack fruit tacos which were reportedly delicious. We also ordered the fresh juice which was good. The food was a four for me but the service was a one. Our server was able to take the order but an expediter delivered the food. We never saw her again except when she stayed hanging out by the waiter's kiosk. We had to pay at the take out counter where we also found out our waiter didn't separate our checks as agreed. I assume there is lack of overall staffing as impacting the quality/quantity of customer of service. I would go here again to see if it was a possible, "one off" time. read more

Laughing Planet is one of the better chains I've come across mostly because the food doesn't feel like a chain restaurant. Fresh ingredients and amazing flavors! There is sitting room, but I'm a bigger fan of the convenience of to-go orders for a healthy(ish) lunch. The special bowls (like the winter one in my photos with spinach, pineapple, sweet potatoes, pulled pork and more) continue to wow me. And I love the burrito. I add pulled pork, sour cream and guacamole. It's very filling and so good! Yes, there are more authentic Mexican food places around, but for a burrito that I can order on an app and pick up a few minutes later, this is great! Basically, my recommendation is to download the app and order! This lunch place is one of my favs. read more

This is probably one of my favorite places to eat, in Midtown Reno. You can have bowls or burritos. There are cookies that are delicious. And the atmosphere is adorable (dinosaurs on table). Beverages are delightful too! One visit, I didn't know what to get. I was hungry but not feeling well. My stomach was recuperating from a possible food allergy. I decided to order a dish that seemed pretty simple (mashed potatoes, broccoli, cheese). It was fantastic! I will get it any time! read more

The Portland-based company opened shop in the Biggest Little City, now 7 years ago. I remember when they opened in my neighborhood, all I could think was 'I need to check them out'. Here comes the embarrassing part: the first time there was today. I'll see myself out after this review is posted. A friend suggests that I try their food. She swears by their 'Highway to Kale' salad. I wasn't feeling a salad today so I perused their menu online I saw a lot of items that sounded appealing. The one that caught my eye was their 'Bubba' burrito. I hadn't eaten in about 17 hours so that sounded like today's choice. It's normally served with Pinto beans but there's something about those kinds of beans that I don't care for so I asked for black beans instead. When I popped in to buy the item, the cashier handed the burrito to me. It was not light. This, to me, seemed like a good thing. The moment I got home, I carefully opened the foil and to my delight, inside what a perfectly wrapped, self-contained item waiting to be consumed. One bite in and I was already taken back at the freshness. Looking back after everything was clear, I wish I would have asked for fresh jalapeño to be added. I have to wait for this to digest before I can go back and get another one even though my eyes are looking at this photo, remembering how delicious this was. If you've driven by one of their two locations here in town and always thought, 'I need to go in there', do yourself a solid and GO INSIDE. The atmosphere is inviting, the staff is nice,. and your food is going to be incredible. Show up hungry. Their items aren't for those who only think food is 'ok'. I've come to this restaurant several times and I only have positive things to say! Food: I normally order one of the bowls--my favorites are the Bollywood bowl and the Thai bowl. I love how healthy the bowls are, and the portion sizes are huge! The Bollywood bowl has these seasoned chickpeas in it which are delicious and slightly spicy and add so much good flavor. You can choose between brown rice or white rice with your bowl. The price for the amount of food you get is a steal! Service: Everyone working is very kind and patient. They have COVID precautions set in place where you order and pickup your food outside. It's a large space so social distancing is easy. Parking: Lots of parking right in front of the restaurant. I've never had any issues finding a spot. I would definitely recommend coming here! read more

I was on the hunt for a quick vegan meal and for something major food-allergy-friendly to bring back for my friend. When I explained the allergy situation to the cashier she pulled out a gigantic binder that had every single ingredient in each dish (including every sauce or condiment they used) categorized. I had never seen anything like it. If you have food allergies, diet restrictions, or just realllly want to know each and every ingredient in your food, then this is definitely your place. With the cashier's help, I customized a burrito for my friend and ordered a veganized bibimbap bowl with tofu for myself- which turned out to be really tasty and I would totally recommend it. Even though my order was takeout, I noticed the vibe was relaxed and casual. There's a dog-friendly patio outside, and a bar indoors serving local beer and kombucha. Turns out this café is part of an Oregon-based chain of eateries. I felt the Portland vibe and I'll be back. read more

I have given this place way too many chances to redeem themselves and this time was certainly the last. The latest visit was today and the food was absolutely disgusting. While ordering online, I modified the food and even added a note at the end clarifying everything that I had modified in the selection area because this has been an issue in the past. Not one of the modifications was fulfilled, yet I was charged for it.. The avocado was brown and it was two small slices, added dairy when I specifically asked for none and the list goes on.
