I'm visiting Columbus from out of town and was in the mood for some middle eastern food, so I looked this place up and seems good. The food was pretty decent, but the service left a lot to be desired ! Especially for the prices they charge ! The fact that you have "bus" your own table is disappointing... If I wanted to clean up after eating, I would eat at home. The drop off area for plates and food is kinda nasty.. there's food all over the place and no room to compost food (which is sad because it seems a lot of food is thrown away, and the food could easily be composted if they had an extra bin for leftover food). read more

I've been dining at lavash for years now, and I always love the dips. We buy them regularly to have a snack in the fridge. I love the Black Bean Hummus and bana Ghanoush. Last time we went, the gyro and falafel seemed drier than usual, but I'll still order it next time in hopes that it was just an off day. I like trying something new and exciting (who doesn't?). we went to the Clintonville café, and just wow! we asked to take our time as we were new, and the staff was very helpful if we had any questions. seating was nice, organized and relaxing, for if you are having a stressful day. our food was delish, and I am a fan of the "the buzzer goes off...come and get it." type places. This is one of my favorite places for my veg. food. I love the hummus and pita bread. It's the best in Columbus. Their Grape leaves are perfect!!! The manager was so kind to put one of my Vegan stickers on the door to promote cruelty free foods available. I have been going to Lavash since I moved to Columbus some 7 years ago and they have the most consistent and best tasting Hummus in all of Columbus. Food is Stellar and it will definitely become a regular stop for me when i come back to Ohio. If you have a large group it is a good idea to get the platter with a combination of different meats and rice with some of the best hummus i have experienced. Splurged and ordered the Mixed Grill platter because it included the lamb chop upgrade. We costed out the per meal price and this seemed like a great idea and deal. It certainly was! We received platters of delicious meats, dips, salad and pita. Everything was high quality, fresh and delicious. The lamb chops were scrumptious as well as all of the other meats. I ordered a shawarma plate from Lavash earlier today via Uber Eats. In the notes section, I listed a couple of food allergies and requested that, if the meal could not be made accordingly, to please call me and let me know. A staff member called me right away to talk me through the ingredients--even though the meal was already allergen-friendly, he wanted me to have peace of mind about what was in it. I'm half middle eastern. My grandmother was an amazing cook. She knew just how to use the right herbs and spices. A visit to Lavash is a visit back to grandma's dining room table. Give yourself a culinary treat plus if you order a dinner you will be filled and have enough left to have an other meal. This place sucks! I rarely give negative reviews but I don't see the hype in this place. It's over priced and boring. I got a beef and lamb schwarma salad. The meat Itself was ok, but the salad cost $19!!!! They give you pita and get this-a side of Italian dressing! This was definitely not Greek dressing. Now THIS is how you run a restaurant Incredibly authentic. Everything on the menu is delicious and they will not let you leave hungry. The staff is perfect. They have my family a meal's worth of samples (a little of everything) on entry. They came by the table and gave us fresh bread for free. They threw in an order of hummus for free since it was our first time and they wanted us to try everything! The cook/owner came out and talked and made jokes with us. The food is tasty with reasonably-sized portions. I don't like to feel like a glutton looking at my plate and leftovers aren't really feasible since it's over an hour from my home. I got a beef shish kabab entree and they asked how I wanted the meat done, which is a nice change from some places where the meat is dry and tough from being overcooked. The space is a little on the small side, but has a couple long tables to accomodate larger parties. There's also a grape vine arbored patio for dining in fine weather. The decor is warm with a wall of textured fabrics but also an industrial feel with exposed girders and pipes on the ceiling. Staff is courteous. Parking is behind the building and a little tight, but okay for all but the largest pickups or SUVs. read more

LaVash saved the day and it was super delicious! We had to feed 50 people on short notice and the owner and staff set us up with food that was fashioned for catering (big pans). I have had a wide range of dishes here. The vegetarian options are good but the lamb kebab and rice are unrivaled. I think about the lamb for days after eating it. Just ordered this on Postmates ; first time I've had it and not impressed at all. Very bland, worst falafel I've ever had and no flavor to the meat. I ordered 4 different items and didn't like any of them. Also I got Italian dressing with my salad - never heard of that at a Mediterranean restaurant.
