Patisserie Poupon remains a wonderful place: beautiful and delectable French pastries, very nice coffees (especially the ones with a little sweetness!), a pleasant and peaceful environment where you can as easily catch up with a friend as you can read a book, write in a journal, etc, all the while enjoying a delicious pastry (or a nice chicken salad or sandwich--they have some lovely brunch or lunch pre-made options too!) with a freshly made coffee. Staff is always kind and helpful as well. A patron of many years now, I continue to highly recommend this spot.

Today was perfect weather for enjoying their outdoor seating area. Quiet and relaxing place to chat with others.

Such a quaint shop and truly enjoyed my time and the food. I enjoyed a spinach & ricotta pastry and some hot tea with honey while there. I took home some sweet pastries to share (and one for me too) and everyone was delighted - myself included. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again.

I really enjoyed all the pastries I got from here -- from the Chocolate Walnut Cookie to the Chocolate Éclair and the Apple Turnover. Everything was fresh and delicious. I'll definitely be back, but likely on a Sunday so I don't have to worry about paying for parking.

I've been a fan of Patisserie Poupon since visiting their Baltimore location almost ten years ago. Excited to visit their location in Georgetown and also to find they're participating in the Too Good To Go program to reduce food waste. I picked up two boxes of surplus baked goods for a steal. Will def be back and would have no qualms paying full price for these delicious and delicate French pastries.

I enjoyed a wonderful almond croissant and a medium cafe Americano. Today was the first time that I had been here, and I would characterize it as Georgetown quaint. I wouldn't call it hoytie toytie, but it's certainly close. They offer a decent selection of danishes, croissants, and turnovers. Additionally they also have various lunch sandwiches and baguettes that look delicious. The service was personable and fast, although when I came this afternoon there weren't any other customers who were waiting to order. The croissant was good, and I am sure that it was prepared this morning at the same location. This cafe is nice and I am sure it's ambiance is appealing to most of the residents of Georgetown.

The eclair, espresso, and macarons were all delicious and well priced. The service was nice enough and the French decorations made nice atmosphere for enjoying macarons and eclair.

Very nice bakery in upper Georgetown. We enjoyed the chocolate croissants and I had a cappuccino. Nice seating area both indoors and outside. Service was fine but not super friendly. I'm not sure these are the best croissants in the city but definitely tasty!

After passing by this place so many times, I thought it'd be worth a try. I initially tried to go on a Monday, but unfortunately didn't realize the store wasn't open on Mondays. Our second try was therefore on a Thursday at around 2 pm. The selection of cakes was a bit disappointing/limited, as I know they have much more options earlier in the day. Regardless, I ended up going for the chocolate cake (mousse) with strawberries. We also had someone try the mango mousse, as well as a fruit tart. Each of them was SUPER delicious. The texture was super soft, and just the perfect amount of sweetness. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the pastries/cakes here. I also noticed that they were selling sandwiches. Some people even had full on meals, though I wasn't sure where they were getting them, as they weren't listed on the chalkboard hanging menu in the front. There's an intimate amount of seating inside the store, a second floor, and also an outdoor area. Perfect for a quiet relaxing cup of coffee/cafe environment.

The pain au chocolate is buttery and not too rich. Paired with a cafe au lait and it is the perfect afternoon treat.

The folks on this side were very sweet and helpful. When we went over to "Wired" to get our coffees, there were a bunch of *other* treats over there, which nobody told us about, so that was annoying because then we would have ordered way fewer items. So we got a couple more goodies here as well as our iced coffees and a hot cocoa for our kiddo. The folks on this side were unfriendly and uninterested in customer service ("Just checking in on our quiche...?";"Oh, we totally forgot. We'll put it in now."). We weren't impressed with most of our items though some were better than others. Unsurprisingly, the cupcakes were the best; we got the nutella and "unicorn" ones, and both were moist with excellent frostings. We especially appreciated the filling in the nutella. The chocolate chip cookie was terrible--our daughter, a cookie fiend, refused to have another bite of it. We liked the novelty of the "orange dream" shortcake. As for the other stuff, the spicy sausage biscuit was not spicy at all and had the consistency of rubber. The quiche that finally came out was too oily, but we all liked the decadent cinnamon roll. Bit of a mixed bag all around, so we're settling on three stars. We ourselves won't be back, but others might have a better experience on a different day.

They were playing bossa and jazz. I opted for the Aren latte and Indonesian beef rissole. Aren latte: 5/5 Latte with an in-house made Aren (palm sugar from West Java) for that hint of molasses and dark brown sugar This was one of my favorite coffees I've had in a while. There was a delicious coffee taste not overshadowed but rather enhanced by the smoky sweet taste of the Aren. I'll be thinking about this latte for a while. Indonesian beef rissole: 3/5 Batter-like skin rolled in breadcrumbs filled with savory ground halal beef & sautéed vegetables While I've never had this dish before, I googled pictures of what it should look like, and mine seemed to have significantly less meat than it should've. The taste was still delicious and seasoned and hearty, but it was mostly mush with some veggies and hardly any beef. While I thought the rissole was disappointing, I love the aren latte so much I'll still keep the 5 star review.

I tend to like sugar (too much) but try to drink black sometimes to try to appreciate the actual coffee flavor and for health reasons. Nice way to hydrate in a fancy way. Art work doesn't typically grab me but this art work did. If I had money, time, and comfortable accessibility to purchase, I would. I am sure I could order online and have shipped but I like to avoid shipping costs if I can. The realism and detail grab me in a way I like. The DC tunnel views that continue to beautify DC's respectable metro system show you that Jimmy is truly a local DC artist. It is reminiscent for me of Juniper Lane's music album cover Tightrope. I didn't notice this until after the fact but apparently when you buy art directly from here you get 15% of your purchase for more coffee here too. Wow. Why the missing star? This is kinda picky but if I wasn't looking or a foreigner, I could've accidentally added hand sanitizer to my coffee and well that's a big no no. Granted the bottle is labeled but I am not a fan of this being in the same area as the coffee add-ons. I know spacing is tight and maybe someone moved this bottle in this area but I don't get that sense and just think it's not a good setup. If this place wanted to expand , I think finding good NYC locations would be optimal as well. I am unsure if Philly would be good or not as an additional location as a coffee culture crowd. Of course I would still come back. It was worth the 15 min walk from the convention center in this hot August weather.

The restaurant is super cute, with a fun cafe vibe, and it's an easy walk from the waterfront. We ordered the Colada Trio, which came with empanadas, cauliflower sliders, and yuca fries. They accidentally forgot the cauliflower and mushroom topping, but as soon as I mentioned it, they brought it out right away along with extra sauce. Mistakes happen, but what matters is how a place handles them, and they were incredibly accommodating, which I really appreciated.
