I started going to LaVee in October 2014 because I needed my nails done for my wedding. A friend from high school recommended them because not only do they do a fantastic job on nails, but they are incredibly clean as well. I was not disappointed! Summer is my go to tech. She does my nails beautifully every time, is so creative with the nail art that I don't even have to give her ideas (I just pick the colors and let her do her thing), and is super sweet to top it off. I will rearrange my schedule just to get an appointment with her, but all of the techs are fantastic! I have been searching for a great place in Louisville to get a pedicure. I have finally found it! We were warmly greeted upon arrival and given plenty of time to choose our colors. There was no wait on a Saturday afternoon, they got us right in. With the Classic Pedicure they gave my feet time to soak and gave a fantastic foot and leg rub. The ladies working on us were very friendly and the environment was very relaxing. The chairs are also to die for! They really worked on our toe nails and our toes looked great and I left feeling relaxed. The prices were very reasonable as well! read more

We've all heard horror stories of pedicures gone wrong -- unsanitary salons, foot fungus, even staph infections -- and it's hard not to be paranoid that we're risking our health every time you sit down for a toe touch-up. I go to Lavee for my pedicures now and am very pleased with every aspect of my pedicures! Whether it's Loc or T, the service is impeccable and they are very fun to chat with. The pedicures are relaxing and reasonably priced. This will be the only place I get my nails done from now on! read more

I'm extremely displeased with my nail job. It was my first time getting acrylic nails and also my first time going to LaVee. I don't know the name of the man who did my nails but he did not do a pleasing job. Not only did he cut (by accident) it seemed like he was just trying to get done so he could leave, not to give me what I wanted. I went with a friend and we both got acrylics. Our nail techs started at about the same time yet mine were finished in about 20 minutes yet her's were finished in about 50. I will definitely not be returning to LaVee nails. read more

I came here with my sister and my mom for manicures in the middle of the week. It was unusually busy, which I attribute to the nice personalities calming atmosphere, however there were a few missteps in the service. First of all, the manicurist was watching videos on their phone while I was getting my manicure, and the tools they used on me were less than sanitary. A pair of very dirty clippers came out of a drawer to clip my nails, and then a worn out nail file and buffer to tidy them up. The polish itself was okay, but the manicurist didn't bother to clean up the nail polish left on my cuticles. My mother and sister had the same problem. The most memorable moment was when the manicurist asked my sister to pick up the phone for them to take an appointment. Overall one of the worst manicures I've ever gotten. I look forward to seeing my regular manicurist next week. read more

Okay, so I normally don't post negative reviews in fear that karma may bite me in the butt. BUT, this is something I feel that other customers should be aware of. I have been a huge fan of the salon for a couple of years, and Jay, well Jay is extremely talented. However, the last couple of times of being serviced by him has been nothing but a poor and disrespectful experience. Also, lately he has been filing my nails uneven! why? why all of a sudden have such poorly done nails? is it because of discrimination of me just wanting simple nail work so he isn't getting as much as he thinks he deserves? I recently went there to just get a polish change. remind you I did happen to go to a different salon that offered SNS, signature nail, which by the way I highly encourage you look it up, its called SNS. Better than gel and shellac! Well anyway, after I told him about how I just wanted my nails to be filed and painted and that I had my nails done somewhere else, he immediately started pointing out flaws I could not see. He was completely appalled that I had my nails done somewhere else. Then he filed one of my nails and tried to tell me the other tech did a bad job and his nail he just did was better. Absolutely not! In fact, the last couple of times they were so uneven that I had to believe that he is loosing his touch or is delusional and tired because I know he usually does a better job. Then he tried to get my daughter involved asking her which nails is better? what are we 11? My daughter pointed out the nail that wasn't uneven which was done by the other tech. THEN, after all was finished, he says " oh, I see now its uneven". I really should have said something after that but with that whole ordeal, I will not be returning. HE was rude, unprofessional and needs a good nap to recover from him forgetting what even nails look like. read more

I have been to many salons for mani/pedis, and usually only go to a place once because I'm so picky, and so often disappointed. I am surprised at any review that LaVee would get lower than five stars for any service they offer. I made an appointment for a mani/pedi on a Saturday, and the place was packed. I was seated almost immediately, and even those who didn't have an appointment didn't have to wait long. I figured I would get a rush job with the foot/leg massage but, to my pleasant surprise, I got the BEST massage I've EVER had. Again, I'm super picky as I am a massage therapist and I know what muscles need to be worked in order to have an effective massage. She (sorry, I forget her name), took her time with the massage, and the paint on my nails and toes are perfect. Some places push you to get the more expensive add-ons, but I wasn't pressured into getting more than what I asked for, which makes me feel more at ease. And what I received was better than the salons I've visited in Washington State, Nebraska, New York, or Florida. They're super-clean, take their time, and make you feel like you're an old friend. Plus, it only cost $40! For the service I had, I would have paid a lot more. Don't hesitate- go see the folks at LaVee. You won't be disappointed!!! read more

I asked for a set of white tips nails and got a French manicure with no set of tips. Also the nail tech cut my cuticles so close that two fingers were bleeding. For the money this place is not worth it. I should have gotten something taken off since they drew blood. They need to better train on how to cut cuticles. Very disappointed read more

I have been to many salons, in different cities, both in luxurious salons and fast drop-in salons and have never found a better pedicure anywhere! The prices are perfect and you are always guaranteed the best foot massage, included in the price. The owners are about customer service FIRST. They will not hurry a single service just to get the next paying customer in the door. They focus on quality service for simple nail repairs to signature pedicures. My daughter had her wedding party get manis and pedis before the wedding. Vivian and Jay, as well as all of their techs, were the perfect hosts, making the experience exceptional for our special event. The honors that LaVee has received for Best in Louisville are well-deserved. Just ask the celebrities that have been spotted in LaVee's when they are in town. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! LaVee Nails, 2809 N Hurstbourne Pkwy (by Papa Murphy's). Have supported this young couple in their start-up business for the last three years - in every way possible! Truly thought they could grow their salon to be a cut above the rest with quality and customer service. My hope for them was that they would one day be a high end salon in the East End. Sadly, I was very wrong. LaVee is "just another nail salon" amid the hundreds in Louisville who sacrifice quality and service for quantity. Without customer loyalty, their fall will be swift. One must give loyalty to receive it. Yes, Vivian, you are quite correct. I would never be happy at LaVee because I will not understand that the technicians working on me must go away to work on someone else during my appointment time. Perhaps someone does not understand what an appointment means. TO MY MANY FRIENDS AND FAMILY THAT I RECOMMENDED TO LAVEE: Please accept my apology for recommending and encouraging you to patronize this salon. Vivian has been doing my family's nails for at least the patsy 5 years and has always been so professional and taken her time to provide quality service no matter how busy the salon may be. The worst service in my life was received at this nail salon. The owners were the rudest, people I have ever had to deal with. This shop is incompetent of doing anything above a basic manicure. I showed the tech a picture from Pinterest of a modern French nail, which she stated she could do. After having trouble painting the lines I waited for another tech to finish my gel manicure. The male owner of the shop, completely rushed painting my nails and I was left with unclean lines and bubbles. When I told him I was unhappy with the service and I wanted to remove the polish he walked away. Another tech can back and removed the polish from my nails at that point the female owner stated that I would be charged extra. I asked why when they job was so sloppy? She in turn had an attitude and said nothing. I wanted to speak with the owners in private about their service since I had enjoyed coming to there shop previously. When I asked to speak to her in private she demand to say I can talk to her in a public forum. When I preceded to tell her how sloppy my nails where painted she told me I was wasting her time. (Just rude the last time I check your service was painting nails.) I went in to get a gel manicure stayed there for 3 hours and still left without having my nails completed. If you value your money do not go to this shop. read more
