This is one of my favorite places to get my amazing pedicures. Notice I only mentioned pedicures. Kim does the best pedicures and is very flexible with her availability. However, today was an example of why I do NOT get my nails done here. I am not happy with my full set, it looks horrible and I told Kim that I was not happy, she gave excuses as it's the polish I picked out.. she blamed my nail beds for why my nails aren't what I asked for. I am sad that she still charged me full price knowing I was not happy and did not offer to fix my nails. This is not good customer service even though she was not mean nor rude but she is very aware that I was not happy, I didn't even tip her and that was hard because I really like the previous pedicure services I've had with her. I asked for a soak off to remove my acrylic nails but instead the nail tech cut the tip of my acrylic off and used another fake nail to go under my acrylic nails. I didn't want that to happen since it tends to damage my natural nails. I didn't ask for that, I asked for a SOAK OFF. Still cost $15. The nail tech said that it would take 1-2 hrs for a soak off. Sounds like a lie to me! Should have told me that a soak off wasn't possibly before proceeding with the method that she used to remove my nails. I would never come back here. read more

I'm a former nail biter and used to get extensions, but these full-coverage work so much better for me. Plus, I brought in Pinterest inspo and she used it as reference, but didn't copy exactly. I've been coming to Lavender Nail for Sylvia for years. Conveniently located right off I-5 in the Pocket/Greenhaven area in the same shopping center with Marshall's & Nugget. Sylvia is great! Takes pride in her work & ensures you are ok with the services, price & color/style before proceeding. My go-to services are the spa gel pedicure - I opt for add-on services such as the parafin wax, sea salt scrub, & hot stone massage- worth every penny. I also get a gel mani. I also enjoy the conversations we've had. I'm a regular so Sylvia knows exactly what I want & even tells me "you sure you don't want to choose a different color" because I'm a creature of habit. LOL. My hands & feet feel so fresh & clean after my service. I could also spend all day in that massage chair! This was my first time visiting Lavender nail salon. I got a regular manicure & a pedicure. Overall, the pedicure was decent but I am very unhappy with the quality of the paint job on both my finger nails and toenails. I'm not sure if it was the specific brand of nail polish that i selected. Reflecting back, the nail polish color that I selected was pretty thin/ watery so perhaps that was a bad sign to begin with. I actually ended up having the nail technician redo my fingernails as the polish on my fingernails were full of air pockets/ bubbles. The nail tech ended up removing the nail polish and I switched to an OPI brand of nail polish. While the nail tech did correct it and repainted my nails, she appeared slightly irritated initially when I pointed out the concerns which made me feel a little uncomfortable. She did repaint my fingernails with the other polish and I no longer have air bubbles on my nails but I still observe areas where the quality of the paint job could definitely improve. For example, the paint job could be more precise/ cleaner around my cuticle/ nail edges. Prior to leaving the nail salon, I did check my pedicure and I did not notice that the polish had lifted/ shifted but today is only day 2 and my pedicure does not look too good. While the nail tech gave a decent massage during the pedicure, the overall paint job is very unsatisfactory. read more

After all these years I'm still going to Sylvia! I've recently stepped out of my comfort zone and tried dip powder and I loved it. She did a great job as always I can't recommend her enough. I came for a fill will gel polish. My nails looked bumpy and thick at the bottom of my nail bed. I returned the next day to have them fix my nails. The lady was upset yelling to one of the other employees. The other employees were asking me to show them what my issue was as she continued yelling. While this happening, she was rough handling my hands as she angrily "fixed" my nails. The finished product was worse than what I initially went in for. It was sloppy, thick and messy. It looked like my finger nails were dipped in putty. A second lady that appeared to be the owner offered to fix the four nails that were obviously terrible. Going back to get them fixed was pointless. My nails look awful, no way around it. A waste of $50.00, I should have demanded a refund. I will NEVER return here again. read more

I came on an impulse. I am usually a meticulous review reader before a service like this, so when I saw how many negative responses there were on Yelp, I was surprised. I came on with a picture of what I was going for, and the gentlemen that did my nails went above and beyond. I have limited experience with getting my nails done, but I was pleasantly surprised with how great of a service I received. He was kind and patient with me and if I asked for anything (shorter nail, refile, touch up) there was no issue. I was not planning to stay for a pedicure, but since I received such a great nail service i opted for the cheaper one. The tech that did my pedicure was awesome!! She really worked hard on my callouses to soften my feet! I have left some pedicures at other salons unsatisfied so this was nice for a change! I put 4/5 stars only because I noticed a few imperfections I wish I caught before leaving, and I was not clear on the price for the added gems (mostly my fault). Gave this salon 2 chances to get it right, and I was disappointed BOTH times. Both times I got charged for a full set of gel nails when only 1 time was a full set, the 2nd time was just a fill. I came back 5 weeks later and told owner and she said she would take care of me. she did good but I came back next day to have shortened a bit because length was a little long for me and shape not to my liking.... the people at salon told me I had to come back in two days because no one knows how to do acrylic nail. Today 7/17/23 I dropped by for gel manicure and basic pedicure, they followed my instructions and fixed two nails that had broken and they look like my own. Very happy with the results. Came here randomly with my in law and I really wanted to like this place since it's so close to where I live but I will NEVER come here again or recommend this location to anyone. The ladies are nice BUT they're a little pushy. They pushed me to get the "special" pedicure even though I really just wanted the basic package. But they wouldn't let it go. They were like "get it, get it" so I agreed. And then they kept pushing for me to get a gel finish which was, I believe $10 more? (I can't remember the price) but I was like "okay... sure." The pedicure was basically the basic package, there wasn't anything too special about it... so idky i even agreed if I was going to get the treatment I wanted in the beginning but for a higher price. So I was a little effy about this whole thing. Onto my nails.. I've never met a nail technician who was SO rough with my nails, cuticles and hands before. Maybe she was training? Idk. But ohhhh my god! She used her thumbnail to push down the side of my fingernails so far down that I wanted to cry. She did that to apparently file and shape my nails. They were hurting so bad! I kept flinching and pulling my finger away but she continued to do it. I even said "ouch" a few times but nothing. She also flipped one of my nails back so far from filing it that sit bled underneath and she didn't even say sorry. We both saw my finger bleeding... and then she started the powder process, she packed on SO much of the acrylic, it was bulging on my nails. And she took forever to file and shape them, I assumed they were going to come out amazing since she was taking so long but no. They were still too thick and the shape was so bad. I went home and filed the top down flat and repainted them a whole new color. And then later, I threw on some hand sanitizer and realized that she was filing my nails so roughly that my skin sliced. DO NOT GO HERE. this place left my girlfriend coming home in tears. they upsold her, charged her for services she declined and when she asked for the massage that came with it they did it for about 10 seconds. I went along with other people ( a total of 4) . We all started our pedicures at the same time and I was the last to be finish and I wasn't even able to get my toes painted. I told them I wanted french tip and they told me they were able to do it but they were not able to. They continued to have other try and nobody could succeed. I like my toenails to be square and I asked for that but sadly my toe nails were filed all the way down and rounded. She continued to cut more and more skin off of my toe than needed as well which hurt and she told me I was fine. My friend also got a french tip and was very unsatisfied with the out come as they were just small straight line that were uneven. I personally would never return and would NOT recommend this place to anybody else if you are expecting great service. The workers weren't friendly and were very misleading on what they can do. We both asked for french tip so they filed our nails all the way down and told us that they couldn't do it because our nail beds were too short but they filed them short . My nails are crocked . I am beyond upset on how bad it came out. I also got charged full price although I did not get any polish. read more

Walked in to book a pedi for my Vegas trip and I was immediately paired with My Lee. Upon talking with her with what I wanted, she recommended I get the Delux Spa Service to which I did. My Lee was extremely friendly and asked me questions to get to know me. Being it was my first time with her, she made sure to ask if I was happy when she completed a section and or with the food massage. Her service was so on point that I made my husband get the same service with her right after mine. The salon is clean and quiet. They play calm music in the background as well as show scenery videos on the tv. I took her card and phone number and will be back and book with her again. Left relaxed and happy. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I 100% would!! I had acrylics from my wedding and was ready to get them off and get a gel manicure. First off, the salon itself is NOT well maintained, it's dusty, old, and very much a hodge podge of everything. All of the staff look pretty upset to be there and it wasn't welcoming at all. For my experience with service, the nail tech immediately took out her tray of acrylic tips and started to PAINFULLY chip away the acrylics on my nails piece by piece. Meanwhile she put my other hand in a bowl of acetone and covered it with a paper towel. I told the nail tech multiple times how painful it was. At one point she chipped off the last piece of acrylic on one nail and it hurt so badly I tried to pull my hand away but she literally COVERED MY HAND SO I COULDNT SEE THE BLOOD! She actually ripped off part of my nail!! She actually tried to hide my own hand from me! The other acetone soaked hand she decided enough pain was enough and used the buffer to grind off the acrylic - this was much less painful of course and I made multiple comments about how unbelievable it was. The gel manicure was below average and I had to constantly ask her to fix things here and there. Also she never listened to me when I told her it was painful with the gel over my broken nail bed! There were so much polish on my fingers afterwards and the nail tech made very little effort to clean or fix anything. I was so upset I just had to leave. DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

My friend was the one who booked the appointment for our nail appointments and it turns out we went to the wrong place to end up here lol. But I definitely don't regret it! This place was so awesome and the nail technicians were great and so nice!
