I went here because it's cheap and right next to Sprouts almost but to be honest I really can't honestly give more than three. The vibe is just very uncomfortable to me. Not friendly and don't talk at all. But talk in a foreign language which just assume is to hide what you're saying about your customers. I could be wrong but it's just not super polite when nail shops do this. It's kind of a stereotype too that keeps being reinforced. I was given only a few polishes to choose from for whatever reason though they had plenty of colors. She gave me only glitter ones to select from. They turned out fine but that was kind of odd. And then I would accidentally move my hand too fast or whatever and the tech was kind of rude/impatient about me not knowing how to get a manicure. I dunno how else to describe it just really uncomfortable. I was waiting the whole time for it to be over. The music selection is unrelated to the quality of my nails but it was kinda stuff with bad language which more just added to me already feeling uncomfortable. That had nothing to do with my rating but all this stuff just had me looking elsewhere and questioning the overall average rating. I don't like lowering the average rating of a place unless it's literally intolerable or offensive service so three is kinda the best I got for this place. All the girlies in my office get their nails done, so when my wedding came around I got the recommendation to come here. I have never enjoyed getting my nails done so much! This is a small intimate space and I felt so welcomed by everyone who worked there, but I got paired up exceptionally well to work with Tiffany who was so sweet and funny. I came with three other friends and we all got our toes done, but when I was the only one getting a manicure, Tiffany invited all my friends to sit around me so we could still chitchat. Then my sister surprised me at the salon and they offered to do her nails without an appointment and up against their closing hours. It was honestly an over the top customer service experience - which seems to be rare these days and was severely lacking throughout my entire wedding planning process with many other vendors. The team here works hard and they have fun taking care of their clients. I felt like a girls girl there and the entire experience was so memorable especially for the occasion. This is why I love Yelp! During Covid, it's been hard to make a last minute decision to get up and go get a mani pedi because everywhere has limited appointments and is packed. It's for safety reasons so I'm not mad, just stating a fact. I called all recommended places on Yelp when I searched for mani/pedi in the midtown Sac area but everywhere was booked. I kept going down the list and this place was pretty far down. 4.5 stars was pretty impressive with a little over 200 reviews so I clicked, looked through photos and loved that there were more than acrylics in the photos (since I get gel and pedicures) and that there were also pictures of men, since I took a male friend with me; I also appreciated the pics of the inside. Now onto the experience. Let me just say that my experience started with the calm, sweet very polite woman, who I suspect is the owner, who answered the phone, made my appointment and asked if I could bring cash. When we arrived at our appointment time, we were seated in message chairs immediately and they started with my friend's pedi while I picked my colors. The estheticians were all SO warm and welcoming, not just to us, but everyone who walked in! The deluxe pedicures were great, long massage, paraffin wax, hot stones, coconut oil, the works! Our manicures were also really nice and they complimented my color choices which didn't hurt ;) I will definitely be coming back here when visiting Sac and hope people continue to have the great experience that we did! read more

After complimenting several friends on their nails and being told that they had all had them done here, I knew I wanted to check this place out! Appointments: I used Yelp to make an appointment and received communication from them within minutes. I was easily able to schedule a time to come in for a dip manicure. Parking: The lot is small, but I was able to find a spot easily. Ambience: The salon isn't necessarily the most updated, but they played very calming spa music and had beautiful slideshows of landscapes playing on a large tv. I felt very relaxed! Customer service: I arrived early and received a warm welcome. I didn't have to wait long before I was seated and able to show the technician what I wanted. She asked for my input along every step of the way and used my reference photo multiple times. I trusted her judgement and she did a fantastic job! As I was sitting in the salon, multiple regulars came in and out and all of the technicians were very sweet/chatted about their clients' upcoming life events with them. Manicure: The tools and work area were very neat and clean. She sanitized my hands multiple times throughout the process and always after using a tool. Next, staff is always pleasant. I have never had anyone be rude towards me nor have I witnessed impolite behavior toward other customers. Also, prices are well advertised.
