Very kind ladies at Florin Nails and Spa. I took a chance at doing a walk-in. It was a spur-of-the-moment thing, and I got a gel manicure and pedicure. I did have to wait about 25 minutes. Which was no big deal. The service was excellent, and I am happy with my nails. Tip: If you pay cash, you get a stamp, and for every 10 stamps, you get a $10 discount. The atmosphere felt off right away. When walking in I seen only 4 pedicures chairs.. that led me to believe this will be rushed.The older woman working there was very outspoken with customers in a way that didn't feel welcoming or professional to me personally. I also chose a polish color that they ended up not having in stock, and the alternative I was given looked nothing like what I expected once applied. Staff began to speak in their language obviously talking about the polish and myself. The technician who did my pedicure was quiet and did an okay job, but there wasn't much communication throughout the service. At one point, I noticed what appeared to be shared use of tools and supplies in a way that made me uncomfortable regarding cleanliness, especially seeing manicure items being used in the pedicure area that's not mine! In my space. So gross! Files, soaking bowl, lotions. By the time I was finished, I was already ready to leave. I did still leave a tip, but I won't be returning. She made sure every other staff knew about it and they all came to look at me like I was some zoo animal i don't understand why every stuff had to come look and giggle at me getting my feet done like if they were all doing the service for me. just because I asked to use my own nail clippers? Update: Came back here for a quick gel French tip. I was greeted when I entered and was quickly sat in a chair. All was well until I told the technician that my French tip was crooked. I was told that my nail was crooked (although it's not) and she did everything to try to fix it by filing my nail trying to "straighten it" instead of taking the polish and redoing it like she eventually ended up doing. The finished product looked good , it's just unfortunate to have had that interaction. read more

Saddens me to write anything negative about this place since I've been coming here for a couple years but I have to cut ties. They do a good job, they're great people, but their time management is awful and always has been. If you have an appt, you will still wait. If you call in and ask if they can take you now, you will still wait. I've always looked past this as it's usually about 15 minutes but the past 2 times, it's been 40 minutes WITH an appt. I called in the morning for the same day appointment. They were able to book me in at 4pm for an acrylic nail session. Came in and got good service. Loved the nails that were done on me and also got a pedicure. They really take their time and I just sat back and relaxed. The workers don't conversate with you but it's fine, I prefer it that way after a long day of work. I would come back in the future! My regular nail place was booked so I found this place last minute. It wasn't busy when I went but it took about 2 hours to get my regular gel pedicure and regular polish manicure. I only did one solid color too. I was a bit upset because there was only one other person that was being worked on and the extra workers didn't help to get started on my manicure while the other worker did my pedicure. Meanwhile about half an hour later a customer came in but there was two people working on her. By the way they talked it seems like she's a regular. It was off putting to see them treating a new customer not the same as a regular customer in addition to me coming in way before the regular customer did. I will not be returning and do not recommend this nail salon. read more

I came in at 5:15 for a 5:30 appt. I had called in the week before to book this and one of the workers confirmed my appt. When I walked in there were two people who looked at me so confused. One gal sat me down and immediately got started. The other girl then began to ask me when I called because she couldn't remember me calling, and that I must have called the wrong place. But, I assured her that the girl I talked on the phone with made sure to tell me that this location was right behind Raley's. They both worked on my gel manicure, one prepped and then as soon as another client walked in, they switched. They switched a final time after my nails had dried for the "hand massage." This was my first time here, so I'm not sure if a hand massage usually lasts 1 minute here, but she basically slapped some lotion on, barely rubbed it in for a minute and then told me to wash my hands. I think they both rushed my appt as they were closing soon. They did a decent job, a bit messy. There are areas on the sides of my nails that weren't painted even after I politely asked her to make sure the sides were covered, polish on my skin and some really thick regions under my nail where they attempted to "seal" the coats. read more

I've been here twice and had Lily do my nails both times. It was okay, not the best. I always have the same problem here this is surprising to me. I constantly hear raves about Lily from my friends so I decided to take the drive from East Sacramento to have Lily do my nails. It's really nice there and it's a small family shop. However both of my experiences here, she was rushing... as a result, my nail lengths are not equivalent & my right hand nail lengths are shorter than the left hand. This happened both times. It just wasn't the best experience for me because I felt like she rushed and did not really take the time to really work on my nails. If she had just slowed down a little then maybe they would have been the same length. Side note: I think the owners are really nice and they do have good reviews and feedback from my peers. However, personally if I'm paying $50 for a set, then I would want them to be perfect and feel as though the nail tech did her best and not rushing through the whole set. read more

I don't usually get my nails done too often - I'm talking very rarely. Twice a year, 3 times a year at most. Anyways, I live close by and wanted to support the local businesses as COVID has probably affected them greatly. The staff here is very nice. Sometimes at nail shops it's pretty easy to pick up on negative energy but this was not the case here. I called in before I came and they were very nice over the phone. Once I came in they were prompt and courteous with me. I loved the outcome of my nails & the price is not too high either. Will definitely return. I didn't catch the woman's name who did my nails but she was the older woman, not the younger one (I'm sorry I know that's a horrible description). Service was good how ever the person doing my pedicure used the same gloves to dig in the trash then went right back to doing my pedicure with these same gloves. Most nail salons come out with a little plate that already has a small amount of the lotion/scrub to use on a person but I noticed she digged her hand into the jars to get the scrub with these same gloves. Also kept texting on her phone with the same gloves. I can only imagine how many other people she does this to. Like I said service was good but they need to work on being sanitary. read more

I like the spa pedicure here. The spa pedi chairs are super comfy and the place is super clean and organized. I like how they will always try and squeeze you in even without an appointment. The color selection is excellent at this spa as well. The only downfall (which is why I gave 4 stars) is the TV is always on. It would be nice to find a nail salon that advocates a more relaxing "zen" environment without the boob tube always on! Other than that this is an excellent place to get a spa pedi. read more

They were all amazing, but the lady who did my nails was fantastic. She did dip powder with gel. I had a complicated design with multiple colors and I was afraid that it wouldn't look like the picture I showed her, but she nailed it (pun intended)! She took her time to find all the colors and was patient with making each nail perfect. She also gave me an extra coat of dip powder since I never had my natural nails in this shape or this long before. She also added her own touch with white dots which were not in the original picture, but I liked her artistic touch. I am very impressed and will definitely be coming back! read more
