Yesterday, was my first time here. And must say, it is a hidden gem. It's very updated and clean. I called in the afternoon and scored a fill/pedicure appointment for after work. Both services were done at the same time. Which was great. Being a busy, working mom I'm sometimes pressed for time. But, it was just enough time and didn't feel rushed. Leelee did my pedicure. And it was one of the best I've had. She really scrubbed and made sure I left with soft feet. Tina did my fill. And she brought my nails back to life. My nails are so pretty, that I keep admiring them. I have done some exploring of different nail shops in the area. So, I've become familiar with several places. And though some may be a bit cheaper in price at times, you also pay for what you get. This is my monthly treat! And I'll be returning. :)

Then I had to move again, as they were trying to rush everyone there with the same appointment. Seems to me that the owner overbooked and irritated. I wanted to cry. My hands have glue all over them, I'm going to have to return to have them do the underneath because there's tons of plastic. On top of a horrible paint job, my nail is not painted fully and there is gaps. And I paid for this. I took an hour and a half of my work time off to get pampered and I felt like I was being rushed. I was cut. They were irritated that I was trying to tell them what I wanted. My paint job is horrible. It's embarrassing. And no time to fix. So unhappy. This "was" the highest rated in Greenhaven. Ugh

I stopped by at noon on a Wednesday and got right in. Clean and good gel manicure job, nice service. $35 + tip for gel manicure in Dec 2023. I'd come back!

Powder overlay on natural nails with a natural polish

My niece and I went in for a last minute appointment. I called ahead and they were able to take us in within a couple hours. I got a powder overlay on my natural nails and a pedicure and my niece got a full set. Everything was perfect and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and attentive and did exactly what we asked for without pushing up-sell suggestions like getting gel. I will definitely be back!

Really enjoy the service here. I usually get my nails done by Sun, and she's quick and thorough. I am usually able to schedule a same day appointment (if it's during the week) and appreciate their wide selection of colors. I seen they're nails online looks cute but when it comes to eyebrows they don't shape she said they only offer clean up around the brows which sucks because I work around here so I guess I have to find somewhere near that can ! read more

Son is such a good person and does everything she can to accommodate your request for an appointment. She is so popular, it's hard to get in with her on short notice. If you can't get Son, get Julie. Julie is highly skilled and an expert at ingrown nails and she is usually the one I've seen educating newer employees on how do do a proper pedicure. Julie is also incredibly kind. You just can't help but like these people and the inviting atmosphere Son has created. The chairs are usually full of raving fans; and it's lovely to hear all the convos between customers and the staff. Everyone here is hard working, many with small children they are working very hard to support. I don't know how they do it; work their hands and bodies so hard 6 days a week with long hours doing such meticulous detailed work in a place where the fumes from the products they use I imagine could be overwhelming at times; especially when you are around it all day. Not sure the name of the women who did my pedicure she wasn't rude but when a women walked in who I could tell was a regular she began rushing my toes. I already didn't have high expectations for this place which is why I asked for white and she still somehow managed to butcher it. Products she was using were clumpy and seemed old or expired. Clean, friendly and thorough. I received a gel pedicure that was exceptional. They really try to keep the place nice and clean the massage chairs works very well. They work well as a team and will cover each other to ensure clients are well taken care of. I recommend folks to come here but make sure you try to a appointments cause you never know when they get busy. read more

T did such a good job on my gel manicure. First time coming to the salon after moving to Pocket and this will definitely be my go-to place for nails. Very clean establishment and nice workers. I told my nail tech my nails were sensitive and she moved very carefully to make the experience more comfortable. Only thing I would say is they might benefit from playing some quiet music, but definitely not something that would deter you from going read more

This is a favorite of the locals! I've been here twice before for pedicures, and the clientele are very friendly with the staff...I bet you don't hear that very often. The place is clean, well laid out, and welcoming. The staff are kind, competent, and thorough. I have never felt rushed, like in Bay Area places. The prices are standard. I'm happy to have found a reliable place for a pedicure! read more

Went with friend for a pedicure, I had made an appointment for the afternoon . When I arrived I showed them what I wanted. It was a simple one color, but said they didn't have that color. It was odd, it was a nude color but shear. I ended up picking a color totally different. Half way through my nail tech. left for 15 minutes to tend to another Customer who just walked in. Ummm hello? I wanted gel on my nails. And here my friend ( a guy) was totally done. When she came out I choose a regular nail polish instead of gel because I didn't want to sit there any longer . Oh and my friend has a speech impediment and was being starred by my nail tech. I'm glad he didn't notice but I did. Very rude! read more

Not the kind of place for getting a haircut for men. Came here for the first time to experiment and It was a disaster. The lady that cut my hair had no idea what she was doing and didn't cut my hair evenly. She said It was the shape of my head that made it uneven. I had my hair cut in other places and they didn't have that issue. On top of that her equipment was damaged during use and she was trying to improvise using a pair of scissors and made the situation worse. read more

I've been going here for about six months and have experienced a lot of inconsistency. My first experience (with Julie) wasn't good. She made coffin shape uneven and nails were crooked. Paint job was awful and had to be redone. I decided to switch to Son. The food few times were good but then there were issues sometimes. Acrylic didn't go to cuticles. Nail polish didn't go down to cuticles. Sloppy paint job most of time. Pedicures usually good and never done by Son always by random people. Once Sandy pumiced part of my foot raw. Son also got me with the gun last time. Bottom line: Ok service but you have to watch everything and give direction. I keep going here because nowhere is perfect so might as well go somewhere nearby. read more

Nola was my stylist and she did an amazing job. I'm not someone who can walk in and name a specific haircut I want, but I explained how I usually style my hair and some concerns I had. She really listened, offered thoughtful suggestions, and made sure I felt comfortable with the length and style before cutting. She was also great to chat with and gave me really helpful advice about hair care and maintenance. I left feeling good about my hair and have already booked my next appointment with her in 12 weeks!

Before we even started, she confirmed the services I requested and explained the pricing structure; I appreciated the attention to detail. My appointment was about 3 hours and it included hair lightening, pre-toner and toner application, hair wash/scalp massage, and a blow dry/styling. She has been learning more about color theory and narrated her actions throughout the session. Her commitment to expanding her knowledge makes her a great professional and leads to a higher quality product and customer experience. The space is gorgeous, as always. She tried to fix it but still did an awful job. I had to go back to the city I used to live and have my regular stylist fix it for half the price. She also confirmed that this woman did a terrible job. The lack of skill, unprofessional behavior, and price was astoundingly terrible.

i've been going to monica since 2023, and she's genuinely the only person i trust with my hair at…read morethis point. i've had some really bad past experiences with other salons (especially with bleach) so for the longest time i was honestly kind of scared to try anything like highlights again. because of that, i always stuck to non-bleach color with monica, and every single time she's done my hair, i've loved it. with summer coming up, i finally decided to step out of my comfort zone and trust her with caramel highlights, and i'm so glad i did. she absolutely nailed it. the color looks super natural and blended, and it still feels like "me" but just elevated. she was really patient, listened to exactly what i wanted, and made sure i felt comfortable the whole time. also, she's so efficient. i went in at 1:30 and was done by around 4, which included everything ~ bleach, wash, and styling. honestly it probably could've been done even earlier, but i had red color in my hair before which is harder to lift (not her fault at all), & she still worked super quickly. and i love that she asks if you want your hair curled or straight at the end, it's such a small detail but makes the experience feel more personalized. overall, monica is literally THE best !!!! she's fast, talented, and really cares about making sure you leave happy. if you're someone who's nervous about trying something new with your hair (like i was), she's definitely the person to go to.

I thought this was such a thoughtful and professional touch, especially from a safety perspective. I asked for a bob/lob with subtle highlights, and she absolutely delivered--she listened carefully and executed exactly what I had in mind. I was also able to avail of a Groupon deal for a blowout, haircut & deep conditioning treatment too. Appointments required, either via Vagaro or phone, 48-hour cancellation window. His hours are only Wednesday through Saturday. As other reviewers have said, the parking situation is scarce. The salon is located in Land Park between Sac City College and Meet & Eat, by the Plaza Cervantes Park on 11th Ave and Freeport Blvd. There are free spaces along the curb right in front of the business, but the slanted spaces facing the grass are 15 minutes only. On the other side of the grassy area, they say 1 hour parking until 7 PM, and the ones along Freeport are for Zipcars; the rest is residential. I was told that the parking enforcement isn't as bad now since it's summer and school isn't in session, but I expect that when it is that you'd have to move your vehicle mid-hair appointment. A bright, clean, and inviting Aveda salon space. Only a brief wait (minutes) before being seen by Stephen, I declined refreshments but they did have sparkling water. I had shown some inspo photos which were more conservative collarbone-length A-line angled bobs with or without wispy/blunt/curtain bangs. Ultimately, I went even shorter with a chic layered bob with side-swept bangs. Dry chop first, then the shampoo/conditioning before the real cut and styling/blowout. Stephen has over a decade of experience and has been at Moski for almost a year now. Easygoing relaxed conversation but quality work attentive to detail and the finished look came out super cute for this last part of summer! Definitely feeling fresh and loving the new hair.

I understand for specific nail shapes like almond a specific length is required to achieve that look but not for square. I then told her about how my family owns nail shops and she proceeded to make a comment about how it's a chop shop based on its location. In any circumstance when is it ever appropriate to make that comment?? This salon is nice and it is on the pricier side but the service does not meet the price point. I had multiple witnesses as well who can attest to these comments since I went with my friends. My square shape also came out wide, bulky, and ugly. I had to refile and reshape themselves. I can't speak for everyone but that was my experience at Blush and I won't be back.

I made an appointment for 9:45am and was immediately greeted and seated at a pedicure station - I was also offered water too. I went with the Deluxe Pedicure which was $42 + extra for the Gel polish. The lady who did my pedicure was very friendly while taking her time - she did a great job! They're very personable at Monet Spa which I also like - the owner remembered my name and that I'm married and have a daughter. The staff is always so grateful to see you back too! Overall, I'm glad I decided to come back and give them another chance. This is definitely my new favorite nail salon!

Came in for a manicure and pedicure. It's best if you book by appointment because it's usually VERY busy if you are planning on doing nails. My person was Son and she is VERY nice. Her English is great (but with an accent) but she tries her best to engage you in her conversation and gets very personal! She does a GREAT job. Also, always on time if you book appointment. Rare case where she runs a little late (about 5 minutes in which there are very comfortable couches for you to sit on.) Additionally, she remodeled this old place to make it look new! The spas are very comfortable with a massage and they have music in the background. Haven't had much experience with the hair but they all seem very nice. I highly recommend this place to get your nails done. Definitely will come back! read more

I got Son, who was the owner. VERY sweet lady. She's extremely busy so she might answer her phone during the session but I came for a manicure and a pedicure and she was spectacular! There was another worker, didn't catch her name. Make sure to make an appointment as walking in would waste your time. However, she took her time and didn't rush. She also talks to you and has a very nice massage spa! The environment is young yet comforting - old and classy. I'd come here again and gave her a big tip! She's a hard worker with 2 beautiful sons. My pedicurist was Ann. There's two people that do nails: Son and Ann. Son, the owner, was busy so I got Ann. She's a very nice lady and does a very good job on the nails. Definitely would not be disappointed if you got her. However, her English is not the best as that is not her primary language but her efforts are great! I would recommend 100%. Also, make sure to book an appointment ahead of time, because they are so good at what they do, they are constantly booked. It's a family environment, which is a great one.
