Yesterday, was my first time here. And must say, it is a hidden gem. It's very updated and clean. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called in the afternoon and scored a fill/pedicure appointment for after work. Both services were done at the same time. Which was great[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Being a busy, working mom I'm sometimes pressed for time. But, it was just enough time and didn't feel rushed. Leelee did my pedicure. And it was one of the best I've had. She really scrubbed and made sure I left with soft feet. Tina did my fill. And she brought my nails back to life. My nails are so pretty, that I keep admiring them. I have done some exploring of different nail shops in the area. So, I've become familiar with several places. And though some may be a bit cheaper in price at times, you also pay for what you get. This is my monthly treat! And I'll be returning. :)

The ladies here have the best customer service I have ever gotten. They will do test colors to make sure you're getting exactly what you're looking for and will check with you to make sure every finger has the right shape and length. Products she was using were clumpy and seemed old or expired. This is the worst pedicure I've ever had. $48 btw.

I stopped by at noon on a Wednesday and got right in. Clean and good gel manicure job, nice service. $35 + tip for gel manicure in Dec 2023. I'd come back!

Powder overlay on natural nails with a natural polish

My niece and I went in for a last minute appointment. I called ahead and they were able to take us in within a couple hours. I got a powder overlay on my natural nails and a pedicure and my niece got a full set. Everything was perfect and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and attentive and did exactly what we asked for without pushing up-sell suggestions like getting gel. I will definitely be back!

Really enjoy the service here. I usually get my nails done by Sun, and she's quick and thorough. I am usually able to schedule a same day appointment (if it's during the week) and appreciate their wide selection of colors. I would recommend they sanitize between each manicure due to COVID, but overall solid experience.

This is a wonderful nail salon salon. I see Jenny for my gel manicure and relaxing pedicare service. The owner Sun and Jenny are both very nice and friendly. I would recommend this salon for all your nail service needs. It has plenty of parking available in the Pocket area. read more

I seen they're nails online looks cute but when it comes to eyebrows they don't shape [[HIGHLIGHT]]she said they only offer clean up around the brows which sucks because I work around here[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] so I guess I have to find somewhere near that can ! read more

Son is such a good person and does everything she can to accommodate your request for an appointment. She is so popular, it's hard to get in with her on short notice. If you can't get Son, get Julie. Julie is highly skilled and an expert at ingrown nails and she is usually the one I've seen educating newer employees on how do do a proper pedicure. Julie is also incredibly kind. You just can't help but like these people and the inviting atmosphere Son has created. The chairs are usually full of raving fans; and it's lovely to hear all the convos between customers and the staff. Everyone here is hard working, many with small children they are working very hard to support. I don't know how they do it; work their hands and bodies so hard 6 days a week with long hours doing such meticulous detailed work in a place where the fumes from the products they use I imagine could be overwhelming at times; especially when you are around it all day. My niece and I went in for a last minute appointment. I called ahead and they were able to take us in within a couple hours. Clean, friendly and thorough. I received a gel pedicure that was exceptional. They really try to keep the place nice and clean the massage chairs works very well. They work well as a team and will cover each other to ensure clients are well taken care of. I recommend folks to come here but make sure you try to a appointments cause you never know when they get busy. read more

T did such a good job on my gel manicure. First time coming to the salon after moving to Pocket and this will definitely be my go-to place for nails. Very clean establishment and nice workers. I told my nail tech my nails were sensitive and she moved very carefully to make the experience more comfortable. Only thing I would say is they might benefit from playing some quiet music, but definitely not something that would deter you from going read more

This is a favorite of the locals! I've been here twice before for pedicures, and the clientele are very friendly with the staff...I bet you don't hear that very often. The place is clean, well laid out, and welcoming. The staff are kind, competent, and thorough. I have never felt rushed, like in Bay Area places. The prices are standard. This place is immaculate! They have thought of every detail in this remodel. Anh gave me the most amazing pedicure today. She takes her time and makes it a truly enjoyable experience. Went with friend for a pedicure, I had made an appointment for the afternoon . When I arrived I showed them what I wanted. It was a simple one color, but said they didn't have that color. It was odd, it was a nude color but shear. I ended up picking a color totally different. Half way through my nail tech. left for 15 minutes to tend to another Customer who just walked in. Ummm hello? I wanted gel on my nails. And here my friend ( a guy) was totally done. When she came out I choose a regular nail polish instead of gel because I didn't want to sit there any longer . Oh and my friend has a speech impediment and was being starred by my nail tech. I'm glad he didn't notice but I did. Very rude! read more

Not the kind of place for getting a haircut for men. Came here for the first time to experiment and It was a disaster. The lady that cut my hair had no idea what she was doing and didn't cut my hair evenly. She said It was the shape of my head that made it uneven. I had my hair cut in other places and they didn't have that issue. On top of that her equipment was damaged during use and she was trying to improvise using a pair of scissors and made the situation worse. read more

I've been going here for about six months and have experienced a lot of inconsistency. My first experience (with Julie) wasn't good. She made coffin shape uneven and nails were crooked. Paint job was awful and had to be redone. I decided to switch to Son. The food few times were good but then there were issues sometimes. Acrylic didn't go to cuticles. Nail polish didn't go down to cuticles. Sloppy paint job most of time. Pedicures usually good and never done by Son always by random people. Once Sandy pumiced part of my foot raw. Son also got me with the gun last time. Bottom line: Ok service but you have to watch everything and give direction. I keep going here because nowhere is perfect so might as well go somewhere nearby. read more

It looks super natural and I'm really pleased with the results. The cut was perfect- she didn't cut off too much and I got to keep my length with healthier layers. The salon vibe: it is in a cute little Victorian house and well appointed... I'd definitely recommend and will be returning on my next visit to town.

I had my third appointment with Paula and it was an utter delight! She checked in on my "sparkles"…read more(gray hairs) and made polite conversation throughout the appointment. Before we even started, she confirmed the services I requested and explained the pricing structure; I appreciated the attention to detail. My appointment was about 3 hours and it included hair lightening, pre-toner and toner application, hair wash/scalp massage, and a blow dry/styling. She has been learning more about color theory and narrated her actions throughout the session. Her commitment to expanding her knowledge makes her a great professional and leads to a higher quality product and customer experience. The space is gorgeous, as always. Everything is clean and tidy; staff and customers are able to move around without crowding each other. There are light refreshments available. I also bought some product (shampoo and conditioner). Street parking is available. Treat yourself to a meal at Mother (across the street) after your appointment!

Sounds funny, but eh, at least I don't have the mushroom top head look. My thick hair and the cut I want is not an easy hair cut to do. The description sounds funny, but with gel it's a clean military look or akin to school kids going to grade school. Not my thing but, the maturity aura can be fixed with longer hair on top. Believe the best way to say is it that I have a heart shaped face. That means the top of my hair should look like an egg to my preference. The haircut I want isn't for the faint. Mess up and you cannot fix it. It's why most fades on my hair type sticks out and is not flat on the sides like a flat top. Once Mindy understood I was willing to take the risk, I was rewarded in something that many hairdressers cannot cut and or is willing to do. Which is to fade free hand, then rat tail comb fade the edges on top with a clipper and texture with scissors. Mind you I watched a long time before giving her the go ahead to take the risk. Sounds a lot of work right? Hair dressers will complain doing this type of cut. It's a lot of work, will take time. Mindy does this for me. And for that I tip well. To be fair, I get my hair cut once a month. But it's usually the best way to learn as the hair has grown out and everything needs to be redone again. Note. Tip what you can, I usually tip hourly wage max to half. Mindy gets more, that's how much I like the cut. 15 to 25 percent minimum wage is a good tip. That being said Mindy takes time, is patient, and remembers you. Everything you would want in a hairdresser. I really should come every two weeks but I got things to do. Mindy does textbook style hair cutting. Which doesn't work with my hair cause you don't really expect an Asian with an Afro like hair type, thick, and straight. Takes time to learn cultured hair types. My hair is a rarity. Mindy learned quickly how to cut and tame it. Qualities of a true hair dresser. Note. I got my hair cut by Lynn too. She's good, but she's busy and I believe she understands my haircut and hair is annoying to do. The guy and new girl are good too. Just a preference and patience to be had.

I was also able to avail of a Groupon deal for a blowout, haircut & deep conditioning treatment too. Appointments required, either via Vagaro or phone, 48-hour cancellation window. His hours are only Wednesday through Saturday. As other reviewers have said, the parking situation is scarce. The salon is located in Land Park between Sac City College and Meet & Eat, by the Plaza Cervantes Park on 11th Ave and Freeport Blvd. There are free spaces along the curb right in front of the business, but the slanted spaces facing the grass are 15 minutes only. On the other side of the grassy area, they say 1 hour parking until 7 PM, and the ones along Freeport are for Zipcars; the rest is residential. I was told that the parking enforcement isn't as bad now since it's summer and school isn't in session, but I expect that when it is that you'd have to move your vehicle mid-hair appointment. A bright, clean, and inviting Aveda salon space. Only a brief wait (minutes) before being seen by Stephen, I declined refreshments but they did have sparkling water. I had shown some inspo photos which were more conservative collarbone-length A-line angled bobs with or without wispy/blunt/curtain bangs. Ultimately, I went even shorter with a chic layered bob with side-swept bangs. Dry chop first, then the shampoo/conditioning before the real cut and styling/blowout. Stephen has over a decade of experience and has been at Moski for almost a year now. Easygoing relaxed conversation but quality work attentive to detail and the finished look came out super cute for this last part of summer! Definitely feeling fresh and loving the new hair.

I scheduled a visit a few days in advance for three people and four services and paid an $80 deposit ($20 per service) via Venmo. One person canceled that morning, but I was able to switch to a different service for myself that same day vs. losing my deposit. The two pedicures were fine. They were basic pedicures, and aside from the water initially being extremely hot, I was happy with the results. Because of the deposit, there was also no wait time. The head spa, however, was a completely different experience. This was my first head spa, so I was excited and expected it to be relaxing. Unfortunately, it was anything but. The massage was brief, and despite the menu stating that oils would be used, none were applied. During the double cleanse, the technician used her fingernails rather than her fingertips, which became painful. There was also an excessive amount of cleanser, and rinsing it out was difficult. The water temperature was extremely inconsistent--going from hot to ice cold--and water got into my ear. Instead of feeling relaxed, I was uncomfortable throughout the service. Afterward, my hair was not completely dry. When I asked for serum, I was told it had already been applied, and I had to explain that I wanted my hair fully dried and soft. Another staff member eventually finished drying it, and the end result was much better. The two services totaled $138, or $158 with a 15% tip. I shared all of this feedback with the front desk before leaving. They were receptive and said they would provide additional training. I was also told that the technician was new to the salon and has some communication issues. I appreciate that they listened to my concerns, but based on my head-spa experience, I would not return for that service. *********************************************************** FINAL THOUGHTS Making a reservation requires a deposit, but it does give you priority if there's a wait. PRO TIP: I visited on a Saturday around noon, and it wasn't busy at all. If you're coming in solo, you can probably skip the reservation and deposit. I've had two pedicures here, and the service was totally fine. No issues at all. I also clearly saw the technicians using Barbicide to disinfect their metal tools, although I didn't pay attention to where they pulled the drill bits from. Overall, the salon is CLEAN, which I really appreciate. Personally, I wouldn't get a head spa treatment here again. I was told they're having plumbing issues because the building is old and that their plumber hasn't been able to resolve the problem. However, based on my experience, I feel some of the issues were related to the technician and not just the plumbing. That said, I'd love to hear from others who have had a head spa here. How was your experience with the water temperature? Did you have a better experience with a different technician? I'd genuinely be curious to know!

Came in for a manicure and pedicure. It's best if you book by appointment because it's usually VERY busy if you are planning on doing nails. My person was Son and she is VERY nice. Her English is great (but with an accent) but she tries her best to engage you in her conversation and gets very personal! She does a GREAT job. Also, always on time if you book appointment. Rare case where she runs a little late (about 5 minutes in which there are very comfortable couches for you to sit on.) Additionally, she remodeled this old place to make it look new! The spas are very comfortable with a massage and they have music in the background. Haven't had much experience with the hair but they all seem very nice. I got Son, who was the owner. VERY sweet lady. She's extremely busy so she might answer her phone during the session but I came for a manicure and a pedicure and she was spectacular! There was another worker, didn't catch her name. Make sure to make an appointment as walking in would waste your time. However, she took her time and didn't rush. My pedicurist was Ann. There's two people that do nails: Son and Ann. Son, the owner, was busy so I got Ann. She's a very nice lady and does a very good job on the nails. Definitely would not be disappointed if you got her. However, her English is not the best as that is not her primary language but her efforts are great! I would recommend 100%. Also, make sure to book an appointment ahead of time, because they are so good at what they do, they are constantly booked. It's a family environment, which is a great one. My at-home manicures last longer than this. The polish application was uneven, streaky, and overall very blotchy. It looked rushed and poorly done. My pedicure experience was even worse. The technician seemed distracted after having a disagreement with the previous customer, and it showed in her work. The service felt very performative--she applied scrub but didn't actually massage or work it into my skin, skipped lotion entirely, and barely spent time on my feet. At one point, she even scratched me with the pumice stone by dragging it harshly across the bottom of my foot. They also don't offer disposable sandals, which led to my freshly painted toes getting smudged almost immediately. That alone was frustrating. I won't post my toes but it's just like my manicure. While the person who did my manicure paid more attention to my cuticles, the polish itself was just as bad--thick, stringy, and clumpy. It honestly seemed like the salon uses low-quality or old polish. The most concerning part, though, was what I witnessed regarding sanitation. After finishing with a client, tools were rinsed in the sink, placed back into the same "sterile" sleeve, set on the same towel in their cart, and then transferred into a new sleeve. That completely defeats the purpose of sterilization. On top of that, I realized afterward that a drill bit was used on my nails without being changed out for a new one. This place is unsanitary, unprofessional, and careless. I left feeling uncomfortable and honestly a bit horrified. I will not be returning.

Today reminded me of the loyalty and connection that originally made me love coming here. As a hairstylist, I know how easy it can be to think the little things you remember about a client might not mean much--but being on the other side of that today made me realize just how much it does. I felt remembered. I felt valued. I felt genuinely cared for. I left feeling refreshed and invigorated in a way I didn't even realize I needed. The quality, consistency, kindness, and overall experience at Harmony Nails have always been wonderful. But today reminded me why I was loyal to them in the first place. Sometimes life gets busy and pulls you away from the people and places you love, but there's something so special about coming back and realizing you were never forgotten. I'm like is this 2019? The lady proceeded to give me a pedicure. The massage was lame. She didn't even say anything to me besides if I liked the color that I picked out. My whole experience sucked. $42 for a gel manicure. I should've just gone somewhere else at that point but it was too late to leave. She didn't even clean up my cuticles correctly and processed to apply gel nail polish. Today is day two and of course the gel already came off on one of my toes since it was attached to my cuticles that she didn't remove. Never going back. No wonder nobody goes here!

She cut almost every nail bed, and the polish wasn't cleaned off the sides. There were bubbles under some of the polish, which I asked about, and then another coat was put on. The service just felt super rushed. It was really busy, so that's understandable, but maybe the quality would have been different if it hadn't been. I tried to call afterward and was told to put oil on my fingers.

I called them to check for an open walk in which they were available. I get there and asked if they could do cat eyes on my nails. She said yes and got started. When it came time to paint the nails the tech realized that she forgot to bring the magnet. She fumbled around looking for it, and then they asked me to come back tomorrow. I didn't have time to do that so I just decided to get blue glitter gel. She hands me green glitter gel because they didn't have blue. I didn't like the green so I decided to just get regular nail polish. So she puts on a top coat of some sort and sticks my hand under the UV lamp. She puts on the REGULAR nail polish and proceeds to put my hands (with regular nail polish) under the UV light. I was confused and asked her if it was gel. She told me it was regular polish. She puts on a top coat of some sort and sticks my hand back under the UV. She tells me we are done. I asked her if my nails were dry enough for me to get the money out to pay her. She said yes. NOPE. The polish was still super fresh and smudged all over the place, getting on my clothes and my skin. Why? Why were you putting my nails under the UV gel light? Like for what? It doesn't even help with drying. I'm not a nail tech, so I didn't know if there was a top coat you could put over regular nail polish to seal it. I guess not. And so I left the salon with this set of nails. This was in the car right after I walked out. I paid for the service, and still tipped, but I drove directly across the street and had to get them redone. Waste of time and money. I understand that people have off days sometimes, and that is why I still paid and tipped. But I won't be back. Terrible experience.

The massage was lackluster as well. I went in for a manicure and they refused to buff the ridges off my nails claiming that the ridges are underneath the surface and cannot be removed. I showed them that the ridges are on the surface and that you can actually feel them. They refused to even try claiming what I wanted was impossible. I told them I was going to go home, fix it and show them. I'm not going to return. It's a really low quality experience.
