My hairstylist (who has great skin) recommended I go see Cristina at Lavendermia Skincare Studio and I couldn't be happier! I had just had a milestone birthday and was feeling like I needed to do something about my skin, not just my hair. My hairstylist who always looks fantastic and is "in the know" of who to go see for what, gave me Lavendermia's brochure and I called that day to get my appointment. Cristina called me back right away and said she would give me extra time on her schedule since it was my first appointment with her. I hung up feeling like I was doing something good for myself, and my appointment the following week exceeded my expectations. It was very clean and peaceful when I came in. Everybody at the reception area was smiling and in a good mood. The spa music was very soothing and I swear it smelled like fresh lavender! Cristina asked me a few questions while she was analyzing my skin under her scope, and then she told me what she thought would be best for my skin. Since she has such perfect skin herself, I just let her decide to do whatever she felt would be best for me to look better. I honestly cannot believe the difference in my skin after just one single facial treatment with her! I know I fell asleep for a while, so I don't remember everything she did, but I have never -ever- gotten so many compliments on my skin in my life! She seemed to be genuinely concerned that I wasn't using any sunscreen, so I went ahead and bought the one she recommended for me. I am so glad I did. Wow! I just had the most amazing facial of my life! My dermatologist in Los Gatos told me about the master esthetician at Lavendermia Skincare Studio and he was right; it was well worth the drive to Redwood City! She was so friendly and knowledgeable and she went out of her way to make my brow wax as comfortable and pain-free as possible. I love my new skin and my new brow design--she really knows what she's doing. I received so many compliments on my glowing face. The place is so clean and quiet and very private. The décor is very calming. I like that it's just minutes from 101 and has its own parking lot. I had a 90 minute custom facial and she explained each step of the process after analyzing my skin. She also uses the same products that my dermatologist has at his office--impressive! The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of products and how modern all the equipment and techniques are.
