They took me as a walk in, no questions asked on a Friday afternoon around 2pm. I did not wait and was seated immediately. But I felt like my nails were rushed as more people walked in, and I ended up not liking the end result. Shellac nails that chip within a few days of application is not acceptable. I wish I had the time to go back but I couldn't. Very disappointed because these nails are not cheap and I had to keep telling him different things I didn't like about them as he went. I understand these places get busy, but I would rather the business be honest with me and tell to come back at a later time or another day, than be rushed through the process. Very friendly staff and did a nice job getting my pedicure. My only issues was that I paid more to get the shellac pedicure. By the second day, my shellac had peeled completely off. If I could give less than 1 star I would! Rude! Poor service! I had my nails done on Halloween 2 nails broke within 2 days manager Michelle fixed the 1st nail and was extremely rude. I went in the next day Rachel fixed the other nail she says "come back on Monday your nails are to thin I don't want any others to break, call and ask for me or Michelle" so I left work early to make it there on time and I called like Rachel asked...The manager Michelle answers and tells me that my nails are old and I need a new set that's why they are breaking! Really!?! I just had a brand-new set done there 4 weeks ago!!! She began yelling at me saying they did nothing wrong... I told her I never said you did I just want my nails to last more than 2 days after I paid 50.00! Needless to say I will NEVER be going back to this place!!!! After several months of getting my nails done by Kathy, I have to say that this is by far the best salon experience I've had. Kathy is young and trendy and she always strives to give me the best manicure. She turned me on to nail dipping, a newer nail trend in place of acrylics, and so far I really like them. When I broke my thumbnail a week after application, Kathy fixed it for me (basically a new application on that nail) and didn't charge me anything for the repair! I have been going to Lavie Nails every two weeks (minimum) for almost two years now, and couldn't have better things to say about the place. I'm extremely picky about my nails, how they look, and how I'm treated as a client - and after having moved to a different side of San Antonio, I needed to find a new salon. After my very first encounter with Lavie Nails, I knew as long as the service and quality remained the same, I'd be a loyal customer for as long as I lived in the area and they were in business. That's how much I love this place. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the shop is extremely clean and well-maintained, and I have always found the environment to be enjoyably calm and relaxing. I've never once walked in and had any level of anxiety - which can happen sometimes when you enter an environment that's meant to be "relaxing" - but isn't. These guys know what they're doing. The team of individuals working for the owners are fantastic people, and highly skilled. They understand nails, they understand their clients, and they legitimately want you to walk away completely happy. If you aren't satisfied - let them know - and they will do everything they can to accommodate your wishes. Tommy, Kathy, Annie, and Michelle are absolute gems of their trade - and any one of them will treat you to a fantastic, memorable experience. I always get the shellac manicure and pedicure, and though I've tried the majority of their creative menu options - the Milk & Honey Combo has become my all-time favorite. The hand and hot stone massage(s) included in many of their packages are unrushed, and highly skilled. I could literally fall asleep (and likely start to drool, lol, kidding) with how relaxed and pampered I feel each and every time I walk into this salon. The use of fresh fruits, high quality oils, and the finest of technique make for an exceptionally well-rounded experience. At most places, it's rare the massages and additional services are just as fantastic as the outcome of your nails - but at Lavie Nails - it is their standard. I very rarely write Yelp reviews as my schedule doesn't allow for a lot of random downtime, but I wanted to take the opportunity to give these guys the shout out they deserve. I get compliments all over San Antonio and throughout the country (I travel often) on my nails and how gorgeous they look all of the time. I can take absolutely no credit for this, though - aside for taking the time to get myself in to see Tommy, and the beautiful ladies of Lavie Nails. This is my 3rd time getting a service at Lavie. The first 2 times were okay. The customer service was subpar but the work was decent. Today the customer service was horrible. The technicians were so rude, not only to myself but the older woman next to me also. I suspect it was because the owner was not there. To make matters worse the nail tech cut my cuticle and left me bleeding. I will definitely not be back. The service and work is not worth the price. I came here based on location and the other reviews. I was greeted immediately and everyone was very nice. I talked to the woman who greeted me about all of my options and decided on a shellac. The gentleman who did my nails was very thorough and didn't nip my cuticles to death--even though they were in manhand-like condition. So I have been in San Antonio for a really long time and the mani/pedi service I received on 5 May 2019 from Cindy at LAVIE Nails was, by far, the BEST! Cindy was personable with just enough chat to make me comfortable and yet was so detail-oriented in making sure my manicure especially was flawless. (I enjoyed the Sweet N Sassy Combo with Dip powder). I'm talking about Cindy held my hands up to the light to ensure the tips were symmetrically filed and without a single snag or jagged edge!! I could really go on and on about the massage my feet, legs and hands were treated to; my oh my! The manager, Michelle, was very friendly and I noticed she stopped by and greeted several customers asking if they were doing OK; this lady appears to really love her job. Actually the staff were friendly to each other and the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed...pretty good music too. Speaking of the atmosphere, this shop is simply but beautifully decorated, LOVE the light fixture over the reception stand! The shop is clean, the nail stations and chairs and pedi-chairs seem relatively new. If some of the other reviews are to be believed regarding the appearance; I can say this place must have had a major make-over because it looks great now! I know mani/pedi personal tool sets are supposed to be autoclaved (steam sterilized) after every customers and as a best practice; the sealed packet opened in front of the customer. Trust me I look for that to happen and will absolutely walk out if it doesn't. Happily, Lavie Nails has it going on and I will definitely be back - this is my new stop! read more

I went in because of the reviews and had a good experience as far as customer service however the service is poor. I received solar nails and by day two my nails were falling apart. My nails started lifting, my white tips are uneven, and a few nails were not even fully covered with acrylic (however you call it) lets just say it's sloppy work. read more

Bad Business. My daughter went to get a full set of fake nails was quoted $30. But when she went to pay was charged $55. She asked why and they told her the powder colors were $55. But those were the only colors she was offered. Why quote the lower price but not tell her it was for paint colors only? The lady also nipped her fingers 3 times.
