I had a lavender pedicure and it was excellent. The best massage I've ever had - he nearly put me to sleep! I went around 6:00 PM on Saturday and was seen right then and was the only customer - so it was pretty relaxing. My feet are smooth and sandal ready. The salon is clean and sanitation is followed - which is super important to me. Their licenses are on display as well which is the law, but many places don't do it anyway, so I appreciate that. I went here for the first time yesterday and they are hands down the best nails I have ever gotten done is San Antonio. Fair warning though, they are EXPENSIVE (I was so taken back by the price I completely forgot to tip and I feel soooooooo bad about it ) but anyway, best nails I've ever had done. They are so smooth, clean and beautiful! I didn't really get a manicure with my set, she just cleaned up my cuticles and that's it. Most places I go only charge $45 for powder dip + a full manicure and arm massage thing for no extra charge. I got a powder dip and half a manicure for $55 at this place (without tip). So it's honestly pretty expensive but if you care more about the quality of the nails more than the experience and what you're getting for your money, come here! I'm not lying, they are the best nails I have ever gotten done before but in my opinion they are just too expensive. I will most likely be back though, I owe them a pretty hefty tip, especially since I forgot to tip them yesterday hope this helps!!! (I know acrylics w powder are $55 too.) read more

I love la vie nails and spa. Every one is so nice and professional. I have been seeing Loan for about ten years and she is fantastic. New ownership is wonderful. Every time I go I feel like I'm going to hang out with friends. Please give them a chance. I guarantee that you will go back! * just a heads up- I have been behind other clients waiting to pay. Sad to say but a lot of people either don't leave a tip or toss a buck. This is appalling. In any service industry we should leave 15%-20% for a job well done. Before I went in to have my nails done I called to ask how much acrylic nails would be they told me $30. When I got there they asked me what I wanted and I told the man that just walked in from smoking a cigarette (that wasn't a nice smell to be greeted with) I told him I wanted french tip acrylic nails and he looked at me confused and said, "ok pick a color" I looked at him in confusion and said i don't want a solid color" he said "ok follow me" he sat me down and called for someone. The man that did my nails asked me what i wanted so I told him, he also looked at me very confused, I looked up a picture on my phone to show him to help him understand. He then said "ok" as he was getting things ready you could tell he was frustrated because he did not have everything he needed so he just did with what he had. He clipped my nails to make them short enough to put on the tips. Then he began to apply the powder for the nails, at first it looked like he cared because he was somewhat frustrated however at the end i could tell that he really didn't care. It was dark in there, the guy KNEW it was dark he even look up at the ceiling lights to see if they were turned on. He had a hard time seeing what he was doing because of how dark it was. He kept putting my hand closer and closer to the lamp, a couple of times my hand got kind of warm. He didn't take care of my cuticles and it hurt when he was dong my nails. First a burning sensation on my skin from the electric nail file then sharp pricks from some tool I've never seen before. Once he was done he told me to go wash my hands then go to the front to pay. I went up to the front to and it was a different man, I told him I needed to pay and he looked at me like he didn't know what I said and looked around. He finally stepped up to the counter looked at me confused. I showed him that the nails that I just got. It took him awhile while before he told me how much it was. I felt a few bumps on my nails and kept feeling them, I showed the bumps to the man at the counter and he just filed them off making some of the nail look rough. He told me it would be $40, I let him know that I was told $30 then he said,"no, no, $40" I just wanted to get out of there fast so I paid for it. Now 3 days later all the nails are beginning to lift on the sides. The whole experience there was horrible, the service was horrible, and the nails look like crap. Worst money I have ever spent. I will never recommend any of my family,friends or friends of friends to this place. I feel like I was ripped off and they knew what they were doing. It was like they know how to take advantage of people especially someone that has never been to their place of business, I wouldn't even call it a nail salon. Just horrible all around read more

Got acrylics by Rachel and was very satisfied until I asked for a basic French tip pedicure but instead of the natural pink I wanted purple and the woman did it messed up several times, had a attitude like she did not want to be there and after having to get a fix right after leaving my French tip was extremely uneven but was forced to pay extra because they considered a white line (French tip) as nail art !!! Kathy is the best. I have been to a lot of nail places looking for someone who has not only talent but is also attentive and I finally found her. I really love my nails and now do not dread go back. Shop is nice and clean. The pedicure bowls are lined with disposable plastic lining making them cleaner. Again Kathy is great. But I think any of the nail techs could be great. Prices are great. it was okay. asked the lady for acrylic and she gave me dip which was okay, but then charged me $60 for a short nail set that i'm normally used to paying between $40-$50 max. she wouldn't let me get the color i wanted because she said it didn't go well with my skin tone and although i appreciate the honesty i should be able to pick whatever color i want as im paying. lastly, it took about two hours as my lady kept getting up and helping other people. super annoying. read more

I came here because of the great yelp ratings. I came here on a Saturday afternoon around 5 o'clock for a basic mani pedi , which is normally $40 but was 15% off for Thanksgiving. When you walk in, it's not overwhelmingly stinky. The decor is nice, and there is a large regular and shellac polish selection. I sat down right away for my pedi with Cody. I noticed that they do put plastic in their pedi bowls. They have a margarita machine with what looks like 2 flavors. I was running errands though, so didn't try one. My only complaint about the pedi is that he didn't check for ingrown toenails, until I told him that I thought I had 2. He spent. Long time making sure my feet were smooth, and all of the dead skin was removed. He wasn't much of a conversationalist, but I'm ok with that. My mani was good. I'll be back! read more

They have an excellent variety of specialty pedicures but there was no pressure to buy up. Tommy suggested after 5pm on Saturdays if you wanted to walk in without an appt. I've been going to see Michelle for almost 6 years. She's the best at what she does... She makes your nails look clean and good and she's really fast. I would give her a four star rating if it were based solely on that. The problem is she's opened this new location and doesn't care about anything but getting people in and out. I don't often give places a bad rating but I felt I had to here. I've never been this disappointed in a manicure and pedicure before. The pedicure was alright. I picked a glitter polish that I thought they'd layer but they gave me two coats and that was it. I can still see whats left of my nail through the glitter. They cut my toenails very short, cutting about an eighth of an inch away from the pink section of the nail. My largest gripe is the manicure was very rushed. My nails were cut to stubs. My nails weren't painted evenly, with the middle being very concentrated and the outsides being transparent. This could have easily been fixed with another coat, however the entire thing was rushed. My cuticles were cut until I bled and were not oiled. I was looking forward to a good manicure and pedicure for my vacation but I was very disappointed. I wish I could have had better communication with the lady doing my manicure but the language barrier was great. I hope they can slow down and pay more attention to each customer. I did not feel like a valued customer. My mother went here yesterday, and she loved it. I believe it is dependent on who you get. read more

I wish I got the lady's name, but she was absolutely rude! She started getting mad about the things I Wanted to get done. I told her I did not want a fill just a polish change , and she told me she would only do if I got the fill witch of course coast more and I said no and after 5 min of arguing she finally did my nails While she was doing my nails she did not offer me anything to drink did not talk to me the only things she say to me was "Keep your finger straight" in a rude way, when she checked me out she just walked off without saying bye.
