Took my wife here today for a simple nail removal and manicure, and the experience was awful. The nail tech dug into her actual nails while using an electric file to the point that one split and started bleeding. Even after my wife told her multiple times that it hurt and was actively bleeding, the tech refused to stop. Instead, she dipped the injured finger into acetone and insisted the damage was caused by the powder from the previous nails, denying any responsibility. My wife was nearly in tears by the time we left. She still had remnants of the fake nails attached, and her natural nails were left uneven and damaged. This was supposed to be a basic service, and it turned into a painful, unprofessional ordeal. You couldn't pay us to go back. read more

I enjoyed my pedicure overall. However my technician cut my big toe nail way too short. As a result, it hurts just rubbing up against my sock. I should have paid more attention. I did tell her to cut them. But she cut them to the flesh. I've never had someone cut my toenails so close. Thankfully I told her not to do the same to be other foot. It is a lovely shop. My pedicurist was very nice, but I don't know why she went digging for gold on the side of my big toes. She did the left one first and I cringed. And then she even had green liquid antiseptic drops to put on it, which is nice, but the cut was so wrong. It's been a few days and I'm treating it with hydrogen peroxide, and it's throbbing. I enjoyed my nail treatment. She was thoughtful and did not make any cuticles bleed with the filer. I will not go here for a pedicure again. I waited a long time to post this review to make sure I was clear-headed about what I say. Truly the worst salon experience I have ever had. I frequent many, MANY salons and do my own acrylics on a regular basis, so I'm not a nitpicky person that doesn't know what to ask for and what processes entail. There were two other customers in the salon when I arrived at 5pm. One was a man starting a manipedi and one seemed to be a regular woman, getting a tech to fix a full set that was done poorly recently. The owner asked me what I needed and I replied "I'm looking for red chrome nails. I want a medium length, full set. Do you have chrome here?" And I showed him a picture to make sure I was as clear as possible. He nods and directs me to Helen's table. And Helen turns out to be a loose cannon. She sits down and starts buffing my nails, SO ROUGHLY. Like my fingers are being shoved back and forth at odd angles and she is not scraping at the skin on my knuckles. She finally asks me what design I want. I show her a picture, and explicitly ask "Do you have chrome powder? And have you done them before?" She doesn't answer me, and walks away to fetch supplies. She is very cold, so now I am nervous to ask her again if she understood, but if she leaves, that tells me that she understand my request, yes? So the man from the pedicure chair is moved two stations down from me and he is musing over what design to get for a party he is having. I engaged him in conversation and I told him about chrome nails. He decided to get them and his tech does an excellent job. He leaves, and now Helen is nearly ready to start applying acrylic to my nails after roughly shaping my tips. All the while, she is YELLING, no exaggeration, in Vietnamese at the tech fixing the regular's nails. I speak Vietnamese, and hearing her talk shit about the regular's "high maintenance" needs when asking for a fix makes me super uncomfortable and Helen does not let up on her loud complaining until the regular leaves (unaware that Helen is berating her). She is so distracted in her, again, YELLING, that she forgets what I asked for. I notice that she starts applying the red nail polish, which is fine. Then I ask her to see which chrome powders she has to choose from. She gruffly says "Okay" and keeps yelling across the salon, ignoring me. She starts painting the shiny top coat. When she tells me to cure my nails under the lamp, I ask where the chrome powder is. She glares at me, now realizing she has messed up. I show her the photo again, and now the tech that was being an actual professional comes over and says, in Vietnamese, that she made a huge mistake and she needs to remove the shiny layer to do the chrome powder. Helen is so mad, and begins removing ALL of the acrylic, adding another hour to my appointment. The other tech asks her why she is removing the entire thing down to my nail. She tells the tech that I both changed my mind and that I told her too late so she has to start over. I don't tell her that I understand her language, but I open the photo again to explain to her what I wanted and told her that she told me she knew what to do. It turns out she has zero clue how to use chrome powder, and insists more than once that I did not ask for it. The other tech tells her in Việt that she heard me talking to her male client about chrome powder, so it wasn't true. Helen finally does my nails semi-properly while the other tech holds her hand through every step. Helen complains to the other tech about me the whole time, and the application is uneven. Don't even get me started on the old, previously used buffer blocks and nail files she used on me, and the tools she used were not sanitized with barbicide. Like WHAT?! DO NOT, DO NOT spend your hard-earned money here. Helen clearly feels comfortable behaving this way, and the owner of the salon does not demand professional conduct from his techs. The salon also does not abide by sanitation practices. I can't wait for the health dept to come and shut this place down again. read more

Usually a very pleasant nail shop , however this last time I was there Saturday* to be exact. I was not pleased at all I had two different services performed at the same time . I had my nails done while getting a pedicure , my toes almost immediately that night felt extremely irritated , red and swollen . On the other hand my nails came out "nice" but even then my cuticles on my nails weren't cut down at all . I believe this was because one of the nail technicians had started to file down my nails and then stopped because her scheduled appointment had walked in . Hence lack of communication which led to my demise of semi decent nails surrounded my cuticles . Back to my toes .. never have I felt this pain or irritation . Long story short I went to kaiser and had to get antibiotics because of the swelling around my toes . Bottom line : unsanitary practices ! I will be looking for a nail nail place . read more

Seriously the best deal for lash extensions here at Lavish. MY EXPERIENCE (LASHES) --- I called to make an appointment a few days before and I was easily scheduled. There is the 3 by 1 which is $40 for a full set vs. 1 by 1 which is $70. 3 by 1 is the usual lash extensions that I was personally used to, where they attach a lash extension onto your lash that branches out to three. 1 by 1 is a more natural look and takes more time and detail, therefore the price costs more. I came from another lash artist, but it had been four weeks so they were very sparse. Mindy did my lashes and I opted for the 3 by 1. When I came in, she showed me the different lashes she could use which were different lengths. I believe I chose 13 which is the length I am used to. The whole process took about 40 minutes for a full set which is pretty quick and efficient! (The last ten minutes were just me lying down waiting for the glue to dry) The glue she used compared to my old lash artist is definitely stronger because I get a significant less amount of fallout. The only critique I would say is she snipped off the very few lashes I had from my old artist, which probably cut off my natural ones too!?!? Also, for some reason, when she was putting the pad and tape under my eyes it was burning but stopped after a few seconds when she began the process. Anyways, Mindy told me to come back after two weeks for a fill, but I think I will come back after three. She said it will be around $20-25 for a fill which is an amazing deal. MY EXPERIENCE (PEDICURE) -- I also decided to get a pedicure since I had an upcoming event. I thought it was good price for the quality you get! The basic pedicure was $22 and consisted of a salt scrub, hot stones, foot massage, filing, and much much more. I honestly didn't know what was happening half the time because I'm not boujee and I never get my nails/toes done but I know that my feet and toes are popping! LOL. They have what seems like a thousand different colors to choose from. OVERALL -- I am for sure coming back to Lavish to get my lashes done by Mindy. There's easy parking and cheap pricing with high quality that you wouldn't get anywhere else! read more

The regular pedi is nice because they have hot stones and pricing is fair ( IF services were good and clean) But THATS IT. The manicurist cut me so bad it immediately started bleeding. She spilled water all over me and the finished manicure itself was uneven, rushed, and it honestly just looks like shit. Cash only unless you wanna pay extra for using card. Mindy is my girl for eyelash extensions! Her prices are SUPER affordable, she's super fast and it's always easy to get an appointment. I've gone to technicians before who can't get you in for weeks for a fill so by the time you have an appointment, you have to do a new set which is kind of a rip off. That's never happened with Mindy. I know there's been times where I'm pushing it and barely have any lashes left, and she still charges a fill instead of full set. That's where my loyalty comes in. I won't ever go to a different tech! I've done both the 3on1 and 1on1 lashes with Mindy and both are beautiful! I will also add that I'm super Asian so I have virtually no natural lashes so it's a miracle that she can make them look the way they do! I really like this place for nails for a couple reasons but let me start with #1. They actually respect appointments. I showed up a few minutes early and there was a couple in front of me. I was seated for my pedicure immediately because I had an appointment so the lady had the couple wait instead of just working on them. This is really a big deal for me since I've had appointments that i ended up waiting 20minutes for because "walk ins" were seated right away instead of being told that they would have to wait. The place is not overly crowded! Plenty of space between people:) Now I have never seen anyone walk away with bad nails but I have only used 2 people so I'm not sure about the rest. Bad thing- I wouldn't get my lashes done here..they are inexpensive and it shows with the cheap lashes they used. They lashes hurt, were very uncomfortable and they literally all fell off within 1 week. I didn't go swimming or even get them wet so this was extremely disappointing.
