I walked in and requested the builder gel on my natural nails. This was my first time and heard good things about it so I wanted to try it. The manicure session was about an hour which was very long. The technique of the builder gel was different for sure, no cuticle care or massage which I normally get with a gel manicure elsewhere. The manicurist also said she hasn't done Builder gel in a while. So the issues I had was that with the application of the gel, there were some bubbles that developed on several of my nails. She had to redo those because it was very visible. Maybe that is why the whole session took so long. I will recommend having the builder gel but it is a little pricey here at $65. Not sure if that is the standard price or not. So TJ nail spa is a decent place to checkout. read more

I went to this place the other day as it was in the area. My regular nail lady retired so I've been trying to find a new one. So glad to say I was pleasantly surprised as the shop is pretty unassuming from the outside. The staff is very friendly and the shop is nice and clean. My first visit, my nail artist was very friendly and easy to talk to. When it came to shape and color, I just wanted something simple and clean looking, and let my nail lady take charge. Honestly, I would have never picked this shape or color on my own, but I fell in love once she showed me the final results. It was definitely a trust the process kinda moment. The 3 stars is not anything negative towards the salon or the workers here, but rather just maybe picking the right nail tech for personal preference. Yesterday was when I came for a mani/pedi, this was my second time coming here. Unfortunately I forgot to post a first visit review which was on the Lunar New Year Day, but I really liked their service and nail job, that I came back for a second time. Another unfortunate is that I don't remember any names, but the manager was very nice and the nail techs were also. I'll start by saying the pedicure, which was my first service, was very relaxing. It had been about a little over 2 months since my last pedicure, and I really needed it. The nail tech was very good from start to finish. Moving to my manicure, I wanted tips but I'm inexperienced about dips, powders, liquid, ect with fake nails. I usually get a clean up with or without polish/gel. So another nail tech came for my manicure, and I left it up to her professional decision. I could tell she knew her stuff, but my only problem was that she was rough. I have very delicate and sensitive fingers/cuticles, and very sensitive to cuts and blood from my fingers, so much so that I end up having fainting spells. I usually maintain my own manicures because I've been cut so many different times. This experience was one of those. Almost every other finger has a cut, and a bit sore from yesterday. I did really like her application of the tips, shaping, and color application. The design I chose for inspo does need a little improvement, but I still got compliments today. I do believe she is great, but maybe not for me due to my sensitive fingers/cuticles. I am planning on another visit, but after my fingers have healed. I do believe I should have spoken up about needing someone gentle or asked my manicurist to be gentle, so I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt and update this review. Again, all the nail techs were very nice and the salon was clean and well kept. read more

I've been to SOO many nail salons before, but the experience I had here is the best!! The employees are so gentle with your nails--and mine were quite brittle and sensitive considering I had previous acrylics taken off. I got a full set with a design as well as a hot stone pedicure, and both were fantastic. My nails felt and looked so clean afterwards, and the end result for both my hands and feet were incredible. The work stations are kept tidy as well, and I appreciate how the tools are equally clean and sanitized. There was so much patience from the workers; I was indecisive with length and color, but they helped me choose the right ones! I always appreciate the kindness and humor from them as well. Can not believe I paid for this. 105.00 to be in pain 7 hours later from this pedicure. I've never had a pedicure this bad. Last time a different lady made my pedicure look natural. This time the nails are incredibly long going past my natural toe nail so it shows through the acrylic. I asked her once to shorten it which she did but they were still too long, it looks ridiculous.
