I used to get pedicures consistently for a short period of time due my medical condition. Then all of a sudden the technician I would usually go (Helen) to was suddenly not there anymore. When I asked why, I was not given a clear explanation. So, I booked an appointment with another technician (Nina). I explained three basic things: 1. No drills to be used. 2. No scrub on bottom of feet. 3. Please be gentle since I am sensitive. I ended up contracting an infection within days of my appointment, as my cuticle was infected on my right foot, second toe. FINALLY!! This location and New Management Finally Got it Right!! Excellent Hard Gel Service and Pedi. Holly is my Favorite Gal! I had stopped going to this location about a couple of years ago. The previous managers could not keep good good nail techs! I live in Ladera Ranch, but where I was previously going, kept accidentally cutting my cuticles,or pedicures, no matter how I complained. I waited to visit this salon ,three times before leaving a review, and each visit was exceptional! I highly recommend them. I get very anxious getting my nails done because I bite my nails but decided to change that and start getting my nails done and wanted to choose a place that is very accepting and not judge. I thought they would be busy but with thanksgiving coming up but called this morning and was able to get an appointment after I got off work. My new favorite nail salon!! They did SUCH a good job. I called 2 hours prior to when I wanted to come in as a walk in and they gladly took me on a Saturday evening. I'm surprised they weren't packed! They were all very friendly & gave me exactly what I wanted. I got a full set of long gel x manicure & a gel 'detox' pedicure. Total time it took was 1 hour, they both worked on me at the same time. They offered me a drink which was very nice, and make sure I was comfortable. They show you a timer for the 10 minute massage which was really nice and reassuring. The scrubs & lotions they use feel and smell great. Hana did my pedicure & gives a great callus removal treatment and massage! Ben did my nails. I haven't been to a salon in a long time that actually takes care of your nails & surrounding skin but they did here and I'm so glad. Will definitely be rereading them in the future. Didn't have a great first experience. Made an appt but when I got there my technician wasn't there. They quoted me price for the design which the technician could not at all! It looked quite ugly. So I said forget it and they still charged me partially for it. To make matters worse when I got home I saw the bottom layer was thicker on some nails and not done on the full nail so it's bumpy on some nails. The technician was rough, constantly pulling my hands, and wasn't very friendly. Additionally, they used UV lights, which I know isn't recommended for dip nails.
