Got my nails done here and they were really nice. One thing I'm not the biggest fan of is the upselling of pedicures, if I say I want a number 2 or 3 the need to upsell number 4 or 5 is always a bit off-putting but that's just my personal opinion. The pedicure was nice and I added gel so it came out to 75$ which is a little steep but it came out nice. I also got a full set of ombré which was 60$. They did a good job overall. read more

I came as a walk in on a Friday afternoon. One of the best pedicures I've had and with great pricing! I opted for number 4 pedicure, the collagen pedicure, which is $65. It came with a lot of good deals like the lotion massage, hot stone, hot towel, feet wax, and more ! The lady that helped me really took her time with cutting, cleanings, and shaping my janky nails..and gave the best 15 minute leg massage! I loved how she didn't really push on trying to sell me other services and I truly got to relax and destress! I will be a returning customer! I came here with 2 friends for a walk-in pedicure. They took us last minute a little before close. We were seated in the chair immediately. The water was pretty cold. We waited a while for ladies to be available to start the pedicure as they were finishing up other folks. When a lady came, she asked me how the water was and when I mentioned it was cold, she told me it was because it had been a busy day. The lady gave a pedicure as usual, but she did knick me pretty bad when she was cutting my cuticles. My friend who I came with also mentioned they skipped a step or 2 in her service, and she had paid for the more expensive pedicure. I also did not like the shape of my nails afterward. Overall, the experience was lackluster. It was not terrible by any means, but I have gotten better pedicures and better service for less at other salons. I'm not sure I'll be back here. read more

I just moved to Hayward and tried this salon as it is closed to where I live. I made an appointment and there was a lady with glasses greeted me and started to do my nail. I requested gel white nails. Since the beginning, she had been doing everything pretty quick and when she started cutting the cuticles, she was not gentle as she supposed to be ( May be that is her style , so I said nothing) and she cut one of my nails bleed and she apologized for it and i don't mind that either ( accident like this happened) so I totally understand and she brushed off my nails with acetone and it hurts my finger and I don't mind that as well. She did apologized. The problem is when she applied the color, it was chunky and uneven, I regretted so much that I did not have a chance to take a picture and there were spot missing on the sides of the nails. The white polish was so messy on every nail. the whole thing looked like I applied the nail polish with my left hand. My whole experience with her was miserable. ( I kept saying in my head this would be my last time) I TOLD HER THAT I DID NOT THINK IT IS EVEN . She said she would file it for me later and applied the top coat and everything. And I asked her, ( is this done and do you think it look nice ?) and there were two other employees and they started talking to each other in another language. And then , another employee came to me and asked me what is wrong and I said, (if this is how you do it, then it is fine , but in my opinion, they are not fine at all. )And she said " let me do it for you" and she had a look, removed all the gel redid everything and I am 100% satisfied with it. And I love the results and the photos are the nails that Trinh did for me. Guys!! You have to request Trinh. Don't make the same mistake as I did. Will definitely come back for her. She is really nice and very professional. She knows what she is doing. I planned to come back for acrylic. This is a trial and Trinh didn't fail me at all. read more

It's been awhile since I've been to this place and just found out last week that they have new management! When I made an appointment a few minutes before they closed, luckily I was able to have a spot the next day. The day of my appointment, I was greeted by Trinh. She was really kind and has a nice smile from my first impression of her. They asked what type of service I wanted to do. I chose to have a pedicure and chose the 4. Collagen Spa Pedicure w/ gel polish. It was super relaxing especially when Trinh was massaging my legs & feet. I even liked how they had 70s & 80s classic music in the background. Was very happy with the service of my pedicure - 4 stars. The person who did my pedicure was very good and did a nice flower design. I gave 1 star to the manicurist because she was in the middle of doing my nails, did half way, and left to go do another walk in customer. Now I have to wait longer to get my gel manicure completed. That is bad business and I will most likely not come back. This new business used to be Kim nails. Kim Nails owners left without any warning to their dedicated customers! Shame on you, Kim Nails!! Went in to get a pedi. The price was $30, and gel was $15, totaling $45. Kim Nails charged me $35 for pedi and gel, so I'm paying $10 more now. Mani is now $20. I used to pay $18 at Kim Nails. They could only take Zelle or cash because their credit card machine wasn't available yet. I may be back. I would like to see a mani pedi combo pricing deal instead of Al La Carte pricing. Since they are new, give the old customers an incentive to patronize you. Staff seem nice. They don't pull the hang nail on your pedi like Kim Nails. Overall I gave them a 4 minus 1 for higher pricing. read more

Tracy and Diana are favorite duo! They are so efficient and great at what they do. Very friendly and thorough. The pedi spa is very clean I never have to worry about that. I called at 6:45pm and they were so kind to wait for me and stay open past their normal business hours. Location is also great right next to Trader Joe's so you can grocery shop after some self care. They do accept cards however cash is always preferred. There is an ATM machine inside the salon so need to worry if you forget to bring cash. I've referred a few friends here and they love it as well. read more

I ended up with toenail fungus because of this place I did notice that the tools that they use are not new they keep them in a baggie that makes it seem like they are but the bag is open. I payed attention last time I went and realized . Very nice people and it's unfortunate they don't take this more serious. I've been to see Sam at Nailbox twice now and I'm so happy I found her. I get the builder gel…read moremanicure and pedi, and they last. Like, really last. I moved to Hayward recently and had been bouncing around trying to find a new nail spot--came across Sam's page because I was curious about Russian manicures and she does them beautifully. Just a heads up on the booking process: the site directs you to request an appointment, but it's not auto-confirmed--Sam has to accept it manually. For my first appointment, I booked for the next day and wasn't sure if it was going through, so now I just DM her directly to check in. Super easy once you know the flow. Sam herself is super sweet and easy to talk to. She recently went solo with her business, so it's just her now--and honestly, I love that. It's chill, one-on-one, and you can tell she really cares about quality. She has a gorgeous selection of colors and uses high-end products, which I think is why everything lasts so long. The first time I went, my nails were in sad shape and I honestly didn't think they'd bounce back. A month later? I've got legit nails I'm proud to show off. If you're looking for a new nail tech who's talented, kind, and really knows her stuff, definitely give Sam a try. I've already planned my next visit.
