Karla! Karla! Karla! She is absolutely the best stylist I have had in a long time!!!! She is adorably wonderful and professional!! She takes pride in what she does and she is honest about your look! I had long hair and the ends were completely trashed and she told me the truth about it! Usually hair stylist will just try to sell you more products to keep dead ends alive but it almost never works. I took her advice and cut my ends, not too much, but agreed to have them cut and my hair is at a healthy length and look. Karla you are the best!! read more

Location is great and easy to find. Lots of parking. I like the layout of the salon and how they have you out on one of their gowns before they work on you. First time here I got my hair dyed more blonde. I don't remember my hair stylist name but she was young and seemed to be "new". I could tell because she looked lost and unsure. The team didn't seem to support her as much. I felt awful for her. Because i did, I'm not harsh on this review nor was I harsh with her. She was really nice. I liked my dye for one day and came back again to get it dark all around (with another hair stylist that I loved and was happy with the outcome even tho she got dye on my shirt which is ok only bc the shirt I wore was toss-able). My hair was dried out from the dye and the blonde became more gray to copper. Yes. I know how the whole process works with maintenance and how hair dye damages the hair etc. Overall would I come again? Depends. Price that I paid for is average. Appointment was easy to make. But because i didn't really see a team working together to help the newbie or what it seemed to be, I'm a little sketchy. read more

I went to LAVISH Salon for the first time a year ago after I had my son. It was a great experience. I had my hair done by Natalie. I love dying my hair red and had stopped due to my pregnancy. Natalie was able to get the color of red I wanted. I definitely felt like me again. What I loved though is that my scalp did not sting with their product and my hair was super soft. Not only that, but my hair did not bleed every time I took a shower, which was great. Natalie recommended Redden hair product that would help maintain my hair soft and the color alive. I have to say I loved it. I usually shy away from hair products because I usually break out but this time around none of that happened. Thank you Natalie for the recommendation. Since then, I went back before Christmas because my hair had maintained its color. No coppery or brassy color as usual when red begins to fade out. I was searching for a new hair person on Yelp...and came across Lavish. The reviews were awesome so I decided to give it a try. I messaged them on Yelp and voiced my wants and needs. I awoke the next morning with a message from the owner Lawrence....asking if I had gotten a call back from the receptionist? I answer.....um no....but as I look in my messages I did have a missed call and a message following (oops) but I never answer my phone....do you???? I booked with Natalie and a couple days later I went in. I checked in and waited to meet the person I was putting my hair fate into. There she was a cute little thing with shockingly beautiful bright red hair....and I felt instantly comfortable. We sat down and I showed pictures and we talked and discussed what I wanted for a couple minutes...and then I gave Natalie my hair....with a bit of trust...and a lot of hope. Lavish can use some things to make it sparkle a bit. The walls are bare...and it could use some sparkle...however the smiles on the faces of everyone in the chairs and on the floor made me so comfortable to be there. My girl Natalie didn't disappoint. She knew what she was doing...she understood what I was after....and after a short discussion went for it. There was no weirdness...or bullshit...and when we talked or didn't it was still comfortable. End result....I am a very happy with my choice in salon and Natalie. My color is gorgeous!! It was so blah and yuck. She did a beautiful balayage with colors that are just amazing. I also have a shine to my hair I haven't seen in a minute. Best hair experience in a long time. (Natalie did my hair) she was so good at blending my hair color into my natural hair and made it look amazing! It's worth the time and money spent, especially in explaining how to keep and maintain the color choice (I picked hunter green) she mixed the color herself so it's not like you can go out and buy this and diy it. I'm pretty sure the positive reviews relate to a different stylist . I had my haircut done by Sarah. I repeatedly explained that I need my bangs layered and "resting" at eyebrow level. After spending $73.00 (not including tip) I ended up taking the kitchen scissors to correct my bangs from how she cut them. Worst haircut I have ever received in my life. If you are looking for the perfect stylist who is not only well educated on cut, color and the treatment of your hair but who is also incredibly personable and fun..look no further!! I went there based on Yelp recommendations. As far the salon is concerned, it looks nice, hip and clean, but definitely isn't worth the 5 star rating on Yelp. I needed a haircut, and am fairly satisfied with it, but felt that $49 for a simple cut was excessive, especially considering the area. The major turn off for me was the pretentious attitude of the employees. Their cocky attitude was clear to me when they began openly discussing a client, who annoyed them since she was unhappy about the service and was requesting another appointment. I recently moved to Rancho and was looking for a new stylist. I had bounced around a couple salons but was not happy with a stylist and wanted to find someone awesome and permanent. Finally was able to get in with Liz, who I was told was the best of the best. Liz is AMAZING! I never knew my hair could be in such great condition after constant bleaching. But she does an awesome job and the products she has me use are fabulous. Her daughter, Tara, doees my extensions now too and they come out perfect every time! Between the two of them, my hair has never looked or felt better. Salon is always clean and the front desk is nice and helpful. They serve a variety of beverages and even wine, which is nice to have while getting my hair done on my day off. They have a fantastic selection of products as well. I am actually moving into Los Angeles next month, but will no doubt be coming back to Rancho once a month JUST to see Liz and Tara. If you are looking for PROFESSIONAL stylists who know what they are doing, book at Lavish. Prices are very reasonable as well. Make your appointments out several months in advance, as the stylists are in high demand and very busy (that's a good sign). read more

I will NEVER go back to this salon!! This is the second time I've showed a picture and told what I wanted and pretty much got the exact OPPOSITE of what I wanted or asked for. This is also the second time I've wasted $150 and several hours in the salon only to come out looking worse than when I came in!! Very disappointed and upset. I've got several important functions coming up and my hair looks horrible!! I would not recommend this salon. You say you tried to make attempts to fix the situation, but you did not. I asked you who recommended to fix my hair since I've had MULTIPLE bad experiences at your salon and you said "the other owner". You gave me a date that happens to be my birthday celebration OR 2 months from now. Really?? How is that accommodating and trying to fix an issue that was caused by your salon?? Ok, so I said my salon hopping days were over, well ... my hair dresser up and moved to another location that was too far for me to drive for a hair cut so out I went again, on a search for a good and comfortable salon. Lavish had a lot of really good reviews, both here on Yelp, and on Google, and they conveniently enough had the option to sign up for an appointment right there on their website, so I figured, heck why not. Worst case, I get a decent trim and move on. Well, I've now been there twice and I'm loving it. The first time I went, I just went for a trim and via the online appointment system, my appointment was with Elyse. I told her to layer it and trim as much as needed, and she did an amazing job! My straight, blonde boring hair actually had some shape to it when I left Lavish, and I must say, that is probably the first time that has ever happened. She had layered it in such a way that I no longer felt the need to pin it up every day, I could actually let it hang loose and it would still look good. So ... by the little miracle she performed with my hair, just with a pair of scissors, I went back for highlights a few weeks later. I tend to leave color etc up to the hair dresser because they tend to have an eye for what would look right. So I did the same with Elyse, I just said I trust whatever she thinks will look good and she seemed very confident in what she was doing so I felt safe! :) I must say, I am VERY happy with my highlights!! Elyse really DOES have en extremely good eye for what looks good on a person, I must say, it has been very long since I've been this satisfied with a cut/color. I can't speak for any of the other stylists since I have only been going to Elyse (and have no plans of switching), but they all seem very knowledgeable within their profession :) I will recommend Elyse though, because I'm so happy with her work. As far as Lavish, I find it to be a very elegant and fashion forward, yet comfortable, salon. Everyone there are very nice and the place is very clean and professional, I really enjoy my "stay" there :) All their chairs are very comfortable .... I swear, I could fall asleep in their shampoo chair. The prices are a slight bit higher than what I've paid before, but I find that it's worth it, for as happy as I've been with the service there and the salon overall, I will keep going back for more. So ... anyone in the IE looking for a nice and friendly salon, give Lavish a try :) read more

I love this place!! When I called I made it very clear that I needed someone that knew how to color!! My hair was jet black and was suppose to have blue in it.. it was a mess .. I walked in and Natalie was and is my everything!! She walked up to me with this crazy bright red hair and I knew she was the one for me. She was able to fix my mess, which trust me it was bad!! Now I trust her so much that I let her do whatever she wants.. the color always last, plus I always get compliments on how great my color is, this is after a month of being done.. I had a difficult task for my hair. I have been lightening my hair to a golden blonde for a few months now and I wanted to add my natural color(dark brown) to the top portion of my hair to create some kind of balayage. My hair stylist was Jenny. She talked me through step by step, you could tell she knew what she was doing! She really cares about her clients and is very sweet. She doesn't rush, but her pace was great. She lightened the blonde in my hair and gave me a beautifully blended balayage. I recommend Jenny to anyone! I booked my appt. with Stacy for a natural top ombré blue hair and from beginning to end Stacy did not fail in telling me the good AND the bad about the hairstyle I wanted and she always used her knowledge to recommend what's best for my hair. I unfornatley had to cancel twice. I know it is horrible, but I have car issues -well then so getting there wasn't easy. They never resceduled. Just never. I guesss because rescheduling for a second time is horrible. My car wasn't working. I couldn't get a ride. The uber app was done. I was almost a sign not to go. I found a new salon and I LOVE it. With 225 and 7 hours of hard work I am extremely happy with the outcome. I got a little tired there but the result is beautliful. I should have did more research. My fault. I LOVE my new look and although Lavish messed up my virgin. For what I got was reasonable, but going to my new salon I only paid about 75 more and she gave me EXACTLY what I wanted! Lavish is not worth it. I don't mind dropping money on my hair at all, but as long as its done right, and I don't get talked out to what I wanted and the stylist is willing to give you what you but explain the truth and makes promise and suceeds she'll do anyhing to get amazing results. Rancho has become the new Beverly hills/paris/Milan with this salon. Top notch doesn't even begin to describe this place! Esmeralda has been my stylist for 10 years. She can work magic with just scissors and a comb!. Dont even get me started on color! From fugly to fabulous! I want to recommend Lavish Salon to everyone, it offers great service, its very clean and all the staff is very helpful and friendly. Months a go I went to Dana for a color correction and not only did she fix my hair but she helped me restore it back to a healthy touch. I have been going to her ever since.
