The burger itself tasted good, but that was not a 1/4 lbs burger as they stated in the menu. Very little food for 9.00........upcharge of 1.00 for sweet potato fries and I guess there was about 10 fries on the plate.....everything tasted great just very little food for the price and menu not telling truth about size of burger. Staff was pretty busy to be attentive and only 2 serving.......A very large waitress said " yeah, it's seat yourself if you can find anywhere available" when we first arrived and asked. This same girl told us later when we asked if we could get our check......."your waiter will get it to you when he can".........the customer service was poor as well as the serving size.......good taste and flavor, overall a rip-off for what you paid though. read more

Good burger! Had the Lawrenceburger, good big greasy burger. Love the mix of cheeses they use - makes it ooey gooey good. Onion rings could have been cooked a smudge longer - they were not a crunchy as should be. The ranch was homemade and had great flavor. Hubs had sweet potato waffle fries with caramel dipping sauce - he gave it thumbs up. Waitress was very helpful and gave great advice on the area. read more

A friend suggested Lawrenceburger after a day at Perfect North and I'm glad we listened. It was a casual atmosphere, we warmed up next to the fireplace. We enjoyed massive amounts of peanuts as we waited for our food. I had the Portabella burger and it was honestly the best I've ever had. I will absolutely go back again and it's certainly worth the drive. My friends had the burgers and everyone had great things to say about the food. The food is great every time I go there. I went there recently and it was superb (the food that is). The service wasn't the best though. It took forever to get the drinks and refills. Our food sat up on the bar for at least 8 minutes before she even glanced at it!! I was close to just getting the food myself! I do recommend getting a chocolate milk shake when you go there! My husband and I were very excited to try this place. We love a good burger. The place is very very small. So, even at capacity, there shouldn't be a very long wait. The service was extremely slow. My husband and I both ordered burgers with different toppings. They have so many toppings to choose from, burgers can be very different. We didn't get what we ordered. My husband already ate half of his before he realized, which didn't surprise me. :) I ate 2 bites of mine and knew immediately. I let our waiter know and he just said sorry. When he came back around again, I said that I couldn't eat it with the horrible things that were on mine. He said he would have another burger made for me. I told him no because that's really wasteful, but I would pick off what I didn't like and he could just bring me the toppings on the side. He did. Now, I know that doesn't sound that bad. However, when we got the bill, we couldn't believe it. It's $1 extra per topping. He charged us for the wrong toppings I got, then for each of the correct ones he brought after I complained. That was so terrible. At that point, the service was so slow, I just went ahead and paid so we could go. I did, however, circle all the $1 charges and out :( faces. read more

Burger place with only one beer on tap. Very very very limited menu. This place is like a fast food joint that went sit down restaurant. Its struggling for an identity. They have ahelled peanuts at the door. Where atleast on the inside you throw the shells on the ground. Reminding you of a popular bbq chain. The inside looks like a bar, but it only has one tap. A few booths have a TV in it. They menu has plenty of burgers. I order the double pool house burger which the description said was was equivalent to the Lawrenceburger. Except with two 1/4 lb patties istead of one 1/2lb patty. The reason...so they are a bit more crispy. Not so...mine was 3/4" thick each patty, far from thin n crispy. The mac n cheese poppers are awesome...you need to order those. All in all, it's a reasonable place to eat if you know what it is. It just has an identity crisis and a very limited menu. But you can get a burger here for less than $4. Not my kinda place, but if you just want a burger and a blue moon...This is your place in Lawrenceburg. read more

If you are on the lookout for a great meal with great company, this is your spot!! I had never heard of this place or ever been there until a friend of mine had suggested it to me and my family. My family and I visited on Sunday afternoon and received exceptional service with wonderful food. There was no wait for us, we walked right in and sat down at a table, we were quickly greeted with smiles and friendly faces. The atmosphere was very chill and relaxed, all of the staff was very welcoming to our group the whole time we were there. They had a lot of old and quant decor all around the restaurant and many different pieces of antique type decorations in the bathrooms and all over the walls. The feel of the restaurant was very mom and pop style and the friendliness of all the staff just continued to make us all feel very welcome throughout our whole experience there. The seating inside is a little small, but they had a lot of outdoor seating with a nice patio on the back/side of the restaurant. There menu was very simple and laid out very well, it wasn't too small and it wasn't too big. I had ordered the Lawrenceburger (the specialty item) and added on sweet potato waffle fries with mine, and they were delicious, everyone kept grabbing off my plate for more of them. My burger was cooked just right and had a lot of flavor it was not dry at all. I ordered my hamburger with no bun and they went ahead and wrapped it up in lettuce for me like a wrap, which made it a lot easier to eat. They were very accommodating to everyone's needs and had no problem with some of us being difficult orders'. We all agreed that we will definitely be going back to get another burger or even try out some other things they offered on their menu. read more

Have driven past the Lawrenceburger numerous times over the years but finally stopped in for a late lunch today while in town for a casino visit. Lawrenceburger is a small bar & grill with both indoor and outdoor seating and a super casual vibe. They boast serving the best burger in town and based on today's visit, I have no problem believing this to be true. Burgers come in 2 sizes, 1/4 or 1/2 lb. and are well dressed for $3.50 and $6.95 with numerous add ons available for a small upcharge. They have the standard sides...fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings etc. Our burgers were great! Juicy, flavorful and most importantly cooked as requested. Getting a burger medium- rare with out signing a waiver is a beautiful thing! Fries were hot, crisp and delicious. Two big burgers, a side of fries and two sodas set us back $20 plus tip. Would like to be come a Lawrenceburger regular but as much as I enjoy a good burger, an 80 mile round trip is pushing it! The only disappointment was that burgers are served in baskets and plastic forks (knives are real cutlery), unworthy of a hearty piece of beef, are furrnished making the burger consumption process unnecessarily messy and cumbersome. read more

2 stars is only because I had great service sitting at the bar. This place is not only a disappointment, but a rip off. I don't mind paying $12 for a burger if it's worth it, these are not!! The burger itself has no flavor, the bun was nothing fantastic, and although they had some different toppings....there are only a few that I would consider "gourmet". Towards the end of my meal I could hear more than one table complaining about their service time mainly due to their small cooking area. At 6:02 on a Sunday as we were leaving and the place was still busy there was a party of 8 turned away at the door. I understand that they were closing, however with the kitchen being behind and still running I found it hard to believe the owner wouldn't want another $100+ check considering they wouldn't be closing anytime soon!! read more

First of all, I have been to Lawrenceburger before but it has been about a year. Tonight we went and had the most miserable experience. After waiting about 30 minutes for our food when there were only 2 other tables besides ours, it was disappointing when our food arrived burned. The bottom part of my bun was very cold in the center like it was not completely thawed. I thought maybe I would just take the bun off, but the burger was so burned on one side I could hardly cut it. What was the most frustrating was the fact that both waitresses were on their cell phones almost the entire time and I had to go and seek them out to try to get the problem resolved. Only offered excuses. Almost $26 for 2 meals, one of which did not get eaten due to being overdone. My meal had been taken off the check. What a ripoff. Do yourself a favor, and go to Third and Main if you want a good burger and service. Hell, go to White Castle for that matter it would be a better experience. Anything would beat the dog food we were served. read more
