Came to check this place out as it was recommended by a friend. So sad how nasty the taco's I ordered were. The owner was sitting at the bar & seemed like a pretty nice guy. Although, when I walked by the kitchen on the way to the bathroom I overheard the kitchen mgr talking down to a couple of the kitchen helpers. Prime Rib Dip (PRD) OH MY GOODNESS amazing. I had read a while back that they had a new Chef. We used to live near by and kept laws in our back pocket for a now and then. We no longer live in the area and tonight were near by and dropped in. My hubby and split the PRD, were small eaters. This PRD was the perfect balance of meat, bread, cheese. I smeared some of their horse radish sauce and then dunked it in the dip. HEAVEN!!! Now if your one to focus on a mile high of no flavor meat, go somewhere else. This was defiantly a craft of combinations that made this AMAZING. I like Prime Rib but rarely order it because most focus on the size and forget about flavor. Their Prime Rib had a wonderful flavor. It's pretty obvious that the owners are micro managing while drinking and screaming at their employees. That is highly unprofessional and I honestly felt bad for them. I've been in the serving industry for 7 years and not once have I ever been disrespected like that. The owners need to learn how to appreciate their employees and recognize that when their employees are busy that they need to take the initiative and jump in and be by their side to uphold their business. Our server, Martha, was seriously the sweetest and she was scrambling around and still maintained her section and then some. We loved her and definitely will come back to see her again. Management/owners: get it together! Your employees are the face of your establishment, treat them with respect. Tried Laws for the first time Friday night. Friendly waitress Jaclyn. I had the special salmon with a cream sauce and veggies with baked potato. Salmon was quite good, better than I expected. Potato was way undercooked. As were the vegetables. Not sure how one could mess up a baked potato. My wife had the prime rib it was overdone and as she choked on the first bite. I had to perform the Heimlich Maneuver on her. That spoiled the night for sure--but this is not Laws fault by any means. The dirty martini was watered down, a bit disappointing. And there is no beer on tap--only bottled beer so meh. There is a band that was setting up in the dining room and a lively karaoke presence on the patio. I can say we enjoyed the fried pickles. Came in to Law's Restaurant for a drink. The location of the restaurant makes it hard to find but it is worth it. The bar area is rather nicely appointed and the pool tables looks nice. It was kind of early so the after work crowd hadn't arrived yet. Though filled with regulars, the atmosphere was friendly and inviting (this was my first time here). The drinks are ample (definitely on the strong side which is a plus) and the prices aren't too bad. Do yourself a favor and tip Lindy well! Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to sample their Prime Rib on this visit so I will have to come back. As far as a bar goes though, I could definitely get used to this place. I promise to come back and a more detailed review of the establishment. One critique would be that I wish that the bar area was longer and seated more people but to extend the bar area around the corner would mean removing the pool tables. And honestly, what's a bar without a couple of pool tables? read more

The hostess gave me a refill and we sat for 30 mins waiting to see if she would even stop at our table and nope my boyfriend and i were severely pissed and annoyed so i flagged down the hostess for the check, she got it right away and we had ready in a min she came right back after that. We stopped here for lunch. It's kind of dark and dingy, no biggie. We sat at the bar area( table top), took a while to get any type of service. It seemed the reoccurring clientele got better service than anyone else here. My observation was people sitting at the bar top got waaay better service than us. We only got a chance to other drinks and appetizer and that's it. I understand short staff due to covid however if people showed up at the bar top they got serviced immediately versus people sitting on booths and table tops. Have to be honest, my first thought of this pace was really iffy. I have been passing it on Indiana for the longest time. Finally my boyfriend and I wanted to give it a try. When the waitress brought our dished I was blown away. I did not expect such gourmet looking food from a place like this, and such delicious tasting food! My boyfriend had the breakfast skillet with bacon, ham, and sausage toped with potatoes that had peppers and onion. Also was covered with an amazing tasting gravy! My rating is not for the meals themselves it is regarding the unprofessionalism. When my check came the total came to about $70. The actually cost was about $50. They taxed me 20 on a 50 dollar meal! How does this happen. How long has it been happening?? How many people just got ripped off and didn't notice. Anyway I had to wait over 20 minutes just to try for them to resolve the issue which didn't get fixed while I was there by the way. No management came out to address the issue. This was my husband and I 1st time here at this restaurant and had horrible service! The waitress came didn't great us but just asked for our drinks. She bought back our drinks and never came back. Huge outdoor patio area looks like it would be fun for Sunday football games. Prime Rib French Dip was soooo good! The french roll was fresh and had that slightly crispy outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The Prime Rib was cut thin and melted in your mouth. I kept picking up the little pieces that fell out of the sandwich before I took the next bite. (In-laws probably think I am a glutton!) The au jus was really tasty and not too salty. Complemented the sandwich really well. Hubby got his with onions rings (a bit greasy for my taste) and I got the fries (Crisp outside, fluffy inside. YUM!). No draft beer, only bottled.
