We interviewed a number of contractors for our kitchen remodel when I was 7 months pregnant. During our initial meeting with David (Liran), we were impressed by his professionalism and knowledge. His quote came in second, and we decided to go with him for peace of mind, particularly because he was quite confident about the timeline, which was important to us. The crew (Flavio and Estuardo) that worked on our house were very clean, respectful, considerate and professional. I never felt like I couldn't step into the work zone for safety or health reasons. They worked hard, even on some weekends and through the holidays to meet the timeline, and they were always friendly and paid attention to the details. We got a load bearing wall taken out between the kitchen and living room and expanded the kitchen into the dining room. Outside of the permit phase, the entire project took about a month even during the holiday period, and we are so grateful to have the house ready before our baby! We are so glad that LB construction made it easy for us by being on budget and 1 week ahead of schedule. They came back even when the project was completed when we asked for final touches. We initially approached LB Construction trying to get a consultation for our long overdue bathroom remodel. Eran came promptly, mask and all, prepared to not only evaluate our current situation, but ready to get construction running immediately. Unlike other contractors, this approach was genuine and informed rather than just pressuring to get a contract signed. He was outstanding at describing the process and creating a definitive plan for the next 3 months of work. Once we confirmed the job, Eran and his crew moved effectively and swiftly through preparing the bathroom demolition around our living situation. As the construction continued, Eran guided us through the process of ordering aspects of the bathroom like the vanity, toilet, tiling, etc. Especially during COVID times, we deeply appreciate the guidance and patience his crew exhibited for our ordering. I'm very picky with design, so many of our decisions took longer than expected. The whole process moved through surprisingly quickly and was completed in the allotted time. I'm still baffled at the difference and craftsmanship of the new bathroom they built. It's now been about a month of use and the difference is jaw dropping. The kitchen in our 1908 Victorian apartment had received minimal improvements over the years. It was very small with only a few cupboards and very little counter space. We contacted LB Construction and Andrew came out and we decided to open up the wall into the dining room and remove the old chimney. He estimated a 5-7 month effort. Liran and his team came thru for us to remodel / transform our outdated kitchen: new floors, cabinets, new recessed lighting, closed off a doorway, and knocked out a wall to create a peninsula. They did this remodel in 3 weeks! Liran and the contractors were very respectful and attentive to every one of our needs. They even built a custom bookshelf underneath the newly constructed peninsula. Liran even cane with me to buy the correct cabinets at the store to ensure we got the order right and got a 20% contractor discount for him coming with me! We were thinking to remodel our bathrooms for a while and our two showers were in really bad shapes, one started to have some black molds and the other shower door could not be closed properly. Now we have two great bathrooms with tile floors and two beautiful frameless glass shower doors. We are very very happy. This is the first time we do remodeling and we didn't know anything. I have a duplex in SF that I needed to have revamped-a bit of structural and a lot of cosmetic. I called LB construction based on the good reviews. I set up a meeting and met with "the guy". He wore a bandana instead of a mask...okay, so I kept my distance a bit and made sure all the doors and windows were open. We went room by room with what I wanted done. He seemed like it wouldn't be a problem. It was odd because he mentioned that when he didn't want to work with someone he would give them a really high quote so that he would not be hired. I thought that was a weird comment and asked oh are you not interested in doing this project, he said "Yes, I am you're great, I only do that when I don't like someone", ummm okay? He leaves says he will send his bid in a day or two and a week goes by, not a word. I e-mail him and after a few e-mails I finally got my bid, which was insanely high. It was, literally 2.5 times what it should cost. So, can I take that to mean that he didn't like me and didn't want to work on my project? Talk about passive aggressive?! I e-mailed him back to ask why the price was so high and if he could break it down for me..I never heard back. I have better things to do with my time than play games with some passive aggressive contractor who, instead of saying that he doesn't think he would be right for the project, leads me to believe everything is great and they can start soon only to get the run around and a crazy bid with no communication. I can't even imagine trying to work with this guy. No thanks & I would not recommend him to anyone. read more

I don't normally provide Yelp review but feeling the need to for LB Construction. We were in need of reconstruction our bathroom after a leak. Our previous contractor through our insurance was unresponsive and provided a long time timeframe of completion (1-3 months). When we reached out to LB Construction, they were able to get things started right away. From in person estimate to completion, it took less than a week! Lulu, our project manager was awesome! She worked with us through the weekend and was able to provide us with guidance. We can't stress enough on how amazing she is. Her communication skill is top notch. I had flooding issues up with my downstairs room, so I decided to have a French drain installed. I called a few companies to come out and take a look. LB Construction was one of the companies I contacted. Dan, the project manager, came out promptly the following morning and we did a walk through. He was very friendly and easy to talk to and was very prompt in getting me a written estimate. Since the trenching was going to go through the flower bed, he was concerned and wanted me to make sure that my wife understood that some of her flower bed would be disturbed. The estimate he sent me was within a couple of hours, which was quite impressive. It was very reasonable, compared to the other verbal estimates I received from two other contractors. Dan brought his Forman, Jose, with him to double check and go over the scope of work, so we were all on the same page, before the job started. Within a couple of weeks, they showed up and started the work. At one point, Dan had additional guys to make the project go faster, so we would not have to put up with the disruption any longer then necessary. They finished in one week. Jose and his crew did a neat job. Since I have some construction background, there were a couple of things I brought to their attention and was corrected before the next phase was started. Overall, I am very happy with their work. I just hope this will resolve my flooding issues. read more

I chose what I wanted and she assisted with much of the ordering of those materials and getting them to my house. The workers were great. I enjoyed working with Hubert who was outgoing, friendly, and very accommodating. Lulu has a good eye. When she came in to do the final inspection, she found some things that needed touch ups. First, I was blown away by how reasonable their quote was, and how the price didn't mysteriously grow the way it sometimes does with less credible companies. They said what they would do and for what price, they did what they said and came in on budget. That alone was refreshing. When it came to the actual work, the crew was amazing and professional. They worked fast, they cleaned up as they went, they were polite, and they kept us posted as to what was going on - what they were doing and why, and the workmanship was top rate. We had several people comment about the level of quality in the work that was done. I mean really top rate. Also, they helped us with a lot of the purchasing decisions and that was really a big help. They have great taste and were able to help us end up with something even better than we had hoped for.
