Etan for the past ~6 months has always been the one to help me on these shipments and I have always remembered his kindness and patience with these packages that can take up to 30 minutes to process on his end. I ordered postcards that I had designed myself, but when I went to pick them up, the file hadn't printed correctly (totally my fault). I was stressed because I was on a tight deadline and needed to ship them out ASAP. Bryan immediately stepped in and offered to redo the entire order for me -- even though it was the end of the night and close to closing time. I waited and asked her if they print photo. She said they only print on regular paper, not a photo paper which was what I wanted. Had a truly disappointing experience at this Glendale FedEx location. I came in needing help with shipping multiple posters internationally--something that another FedEx location later handled quickly and efficiently--but was flat-out turned away. The store wasn't busy at all. There were at least five employees standing around, clearly not overwhelmed, yet I was told they "couldn't do it." The assistant manager, who came off like a character straight out of Office Space, was the one who dismissed me. It felt like pure laziness. Thankfully, the La Cañada location stepped up--two people handled the entire job in just over an hour with professionalism and care. The contrast between the two stores couldn't be more stark. One of the ladies working here has done a very good job with my photos - she was very patient, did as many takes as I needed, until I got the result that I was left very satisfied with. This is a review specifically for their employee Andy. I've been helped by this worker at least twice and both times I've been treated very poorly. Always in a condensing tone. First time, very rudely took care of my order in such a condescending tone and took almost an hour to finish my package. I had to put more money into the parking meter. The second time, tried to tell me I was wrong about my pickup without even letting me talk first. I mean well for Andy, just maybe educate/train him on how to treat customers better. The reason they get 2 stars is because their machines are most of the times broken, just like today I went in and both their fax machines were broken and the employees are just doing their job without even acknowledging customers or even when you ask for help it takes them forever to move and come and help you. Why does this place have such low ratings? This is by far the best place to ship out of. Every single person is nice and helpful, even the quieter employees. Literally best place. I have never had a poor experience here. To the contrary, I have only had good experiences. I am shipping and returning stuff on a regular basis and I always choose this location. The only drawback is parking but that's not their fault and if you're patient there's always cars coming and going. I came by on Memorial Day to print out a sewing pattern (one can never have too many jumpsuits, amirite? Hehe *cough*) from one of their Print-and-Go printers. Essentially, you can take any digital file (pdf, jpg, doc, etc.), email it to printandgo@fedex.com, and receive an alphanumeric retrieval code with which you can print your document. It's a super useful service, particularly if, like me, you don't have a printer at home. Anyway, I chose this particular branch because I was already in the area. Although it's normally a 24-hour FedEx, their holiday hours were something like 9 to 9. No matter. I was there at, like, 2 in the afternoon. Who would possibly be printing a document at that hour? As it turns out, quite a few people. This particular Fed-Ex has four dedicated Print-and-Go printers, huddled near the front of the store (which, by the way, is huge!) and all four of them were in use. Go figure. I ended up helping a particularly frantic customer use the printer to make copies of her resume for a job interview. Why me, you ask, and not a FedEx employee? Well, there weren't many of them around (maybe three?) and they all appeared busy, or something. Emphasis on the something. It took me several attempts to successfully flag down an employee to ask for assistance. In any case, once I finally found an available printer, the rest were also free. Go figure. Hehe. I don't normally post reviews but this place is THAT BAD that I feel obligated. Do not come to this location. I always have the worst experience and tell myself that I will never return. It sucks that it's the closest Fedex to me but I will now start making the drive to Burbank where the customer service is 100 times better. Employees are rude as hell, slow, and don't even know their own policies. I had to explain to them how to make a new label because they swore it wasn't possible when the Burbank location has done it for me multiple times. This place is only good if you know exactly what you want and how to do it and don't need anyone's help or even acknowledgment. I've gone in a few times to print on nice resume paper, to make copies, and for lamination. The employees tend to stay behind the counter, presumably working on more important print-related jobs, and I had to wait for a while at the counter before someone looked up inquisitively. I asked about lamination, and they showed me the machine and I think handed me a piece of laminate paper. The rest was self-serve, which would've been fine had the lamination gone smoothly, haha. it was bumpy and left a bunch of air bubbles which looked very unsightly and disappointing. However on the other occasions when I just needed to rush in and print/make copies, it was fine. read more

Ok, I really am sensitive and also disabled, cognitively from a head injury, so I am not the quickest when it comes to understanding certain things. This didn't seem to matter to the staff, a few times I have gone there. They are quite rude and sometimes don't even seem like they know what they are doing. The last guy looked like he wanted to kill me because I couldn't understand the ten different price quotes that kept changing for two boxes. He got frustrated and then ended up being wrong lol. The only reason this is NOT a 1 star review is because the manager on duty and my original clerk Valentina were completely accommodating, kind, and listened to every word I had to say. I needed to ship my VERY legally owned firearm out for warranty work, and it was pre boxed and obviously made safe for shipping, which I even disclosed that part. I walked in without the package to notify the clerk what I'm shipping so everyone's mind would be at ease, after all we live in California and just the word "firearm" can easily trigger people. No pun intended. Valentina heard me out, and I went further to explain that it's broken hence why I'm shipping it for warranty repair in the first place. She even helped me print the label from the manufacturer. After this, I told her I'm going to go get the box from my car so we can apply the label and send it over. I'm assuming sometime between my walking out and reaching my car, Valentina probably wanted a 2nd opinion and clarified inside, unfortunately with Clay who it seems suffered from manageritis (later I found out he's NOT a manager.) As I grabbed my box from the car, I was outside the enterance by Clay who sternly told me to hold on and not come in with my box, as I cannot ship it with Fedex. This irritated me and questioned him, because this isn't my first time getting warranty work done on one of my collectibles. He stated "You would need a signed Government authorization to ship anything of this nature with FedEx." Really, written in which company policy? I had to hold back my laughter but my irritation was a different story, so I told him sternly to go inside and really figure out their policy before I get in my car and drive to another location. When he walked inside, I called FedEx customer support, and made sure to clarify all policies FedEx locations have with sensitive shipments. And I got exactly the answer I knew was coming, that I can. Clay must have been given a lesson by the manager on duty (his name escapes me, but a very kind gentleman in a blue buttondown). He came out and told me that I can indeed ship my box and should go inside and finalize my business. To Valentina and the manager, thank you for smiling throughout the whole transaction, and neither of you owed me an apology but thank you regardless. To Clay, if you're uncertain, don't be hesitant to ask someone with more experience, we're all learning something new every day and there's nothing wrong with picking up a bit of extra information. There's a reason you work with a team and not alone, use them to make you a better employee. Your team won your store a 5 star review despite your actions, which mind you is most likely a reason for a bad yelp review. I hope you see this. read more

I would have written a book long review about the unacceptable and unprofessional practices at FedEx but I really don't have any more patience left. Just thinking about my experience makes me want to toss my phone across the room. FedEx delivered a package to a completely different address, took a picture of the delivery (which clearly SHOWS a completely different doorstep/address) and decided not to do anything about it when we reached out to them with all the evidence/proof you'd need to support a claim that the package was delivered to an incorrect address. This was an important package and they completely "pooped" it all up. Every single time I see FedEx as the delivery service for something I ordered, I panic, worrying that I'm going to have to relive this nightmare if the same incompetent driver delivers my package -- and if it were to happen again, I have no one else to rely on for help, as this company has absolutely no intention to help sort their issues out and right their own wrongs. I will always share my negative experience with FedEx every chance I get with every one I have a chance to share it with so they too won't have to deal with this unacceptable BS. read more

I have been going to this Fedex since I moved to LA. I come here if I need to mail items out or print important documents when my printer isn't working and have never had any problems here. The staff is always so courteous, prompt, and helpful to me. The store is clean, never too crowded, and easy to navigate. During my most recent visit, I had a big group of packages to send out to different addresses and I knew it was going to take a long time to get through. I also had to wrap half of them in-store. The person who helped me (his name is PJ) was SO incredibly nice, professional, and helpful! He got me through the whole process without making me feel like a burden, and he was extremely thorough in checking every detail of my packages and the addresses they were going to.
