The smoked meats were on point, juicy, flavorful, and you can tell they take their time with it. The pulled pork and sausage had that perfect smoky bite, and even the brisket in the bowl hit. The sandwiches were stacked and messy in a good way, and the sides actually showed up too, mac and cheese, coleslaw, and cornbread all solid. If you want legit BBQ with big portions and real flavor, this spot is worth it. Service was attentive, the ambiance was cool too. I definitely will return when I'm in town.

Neither of us cared for their coleslaw, which is vinegar based. Overall we give it 7 out of 10. The service was handled by the bartender and she did a great job. The ambiance is sports bar/restaurant with plenty of TVs.

There were a total of four employees that I saw, one making the treats, one on drive thru, one "cleaning" and a super rude manager. The store was dirty with trash and food everywhere. The staff seemed overwhelmed for only having, at that time, three orders to handle and nobody seemed to honestly care that there were customers. The manager (Sean?) was incredibly rude to his employees, especially the boy working the drive thru who made an error in ringing up an order but communicated the proper order verbally to help speed the process. After the manager essentially screamed at him and sighed numerous times he helped the boy correct the error. The manager then proceeded to sigh and complain about the backup of orders and made it known both physically and verbally. I have worked in the service industry my entire life and never experienced someone that talks to their staff the way that this manager did. Honestly, I'm surprised they haven't walked out yet. We usually love this location but will go elsewhere from now on for our frozen treats.

Anybody who leaves less than a 5-star review for this restaurant needs to have their head examined... My wife and I just bought a beautiful house down the road and what a surprise we find out we have a barbecue restaurant less than a mile away... My wife's family is from Texas we go there 2 to 3 times a year and I eat barbecue all the time we go to some of the biggest name places and nothing beats this place in East Troy.. I have to pause for a second because my mouth is watering because I'm thinking of the meatloaf he makes on Wednesdays one of my personal favorites with that awesome Zippy sauce... Their ribs are unbelievable the smoked sausage is the best I've ever had and the brisket I could eat that everyday with eggs in the morning... You hear that Leon brisket and eggs. I eat at this place at least twice a week I would eat there more if they had breakfast....Lol If you get a chance get off Highway 20 in East Troy it's connected to the BP station if you want the best barbecue in the state this is the place to go and he did win 2016 rib cook-off at the fair. I live right down the road from this place. It is hands-down the best barbecue I've ever had. Anybody that says otherwise is a knob! I am very picky about my barbecue. I have even spent a lot of time in Kansas City barbecue capital of the US and still nothing has beat LD's i've tried almost everything on the menu and it's all phenomenal! Highly recommend this place! Don't knock it till you try it don't let any bad reviews sway your decision on stopping in. You will not be disappointed. You have my word! read more
