Went on a weekday morning to meet a friend . We were the second table there . Only one server was working and she was super kind , I think her name was Christina . Our food was outstanding . I had the skillet my friend had strawberry crepes . I like that they didn't give me toast with mine because it's always too much food. The coffee could have been stronger but that's just my preference . It's hard to find good food on the Eastside especially breakfast. I'm happy I heard about this place and we will return . I finally made it to Le Andos Cafe. I have been looking forward to this visit because of the mostly "rave" ratings. It is a much smaller restaurant that I had imagined. Only seven booths and seven two-tops. The two-tops can be pushed together for larger parties. Le Andos is tucked away in a strip mall and not especially obvious from M59/Hall Road unless you are looking for it. Two nearby landmarks are ABC Warehouse and National Coney Island. It's kind'a, sort'a behind ABC, facing to the west. Good news: They have a small windbreak for the front door. I wish other strip mall restaurants without an entry vestibule would invest in these. I arrived a bit before 7AM. Only two other (solo) customers in the restaurant. None had their food yet. I could hear & catch glimpses of a waitress working in the back. In a few minutes Ann appeared. Friendly and reasonably chatty with her regulars ... that want to chat. She knows her job and was appropriately attentive. I never waited for, or wanted anything. Ann arrived with water, I ordered decaf ... and she explained that she would brew a fresh pot. Thank you. It only took a few minutes. She reviewed the specials on the mostly unlighted chalkboard. Their breakfast boats sounded interesting - a hollowed-out potato skin stuffed with the usual breakfast egg items. As this was my first visit, I opt'd for the veggie omelette w/dry rye toast. My order arrived promptly, hot & correct. Soooo many places fail on the 'dry' aspect of dry-rye toast. The omelette was expertly prepared. The toast was a light golden hue. Cost? $10.07. Only bit more expensive than the typical Michigan coney prices that I am used to paying, but not objectionably so. First time Yelp check-in's get a 10% discount. Cleanliness? Yes. Both the dining room and Men's room. Will I return? Yes, but only when in the area ... and I am seldom in this area. CCW is allowed. read more

We were here on a weekday and only had to wait about ten minutes for a table. I was pleasantly surprised at how many items are listed on their specialty board. I chose the Biscoff cookie butter French toast, and my friend chose the crab cake Benedict since they are only available for a limited time. We also chose a half order of red velvet French toast to share since the waitress says it's a great choice. The food is amazing. Oh my! So glad I chose Le Andros over another close contender. They have a large menu, sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. Breakfast is my favorite meal and this restaurant will serve you the yummiest comfort breakfast around. Best breakfast for the cheapest price. I am stuffed off of a $5 meal. When I go out to breakfast, I usually get a tiny amount of hashbrowns. I got a huge serving of hashbrowns, 3 scrambled eggs, 4 pieces of bacon, and two pieces of toast for $5. I usually have their sweet options like the stuffed waffles, pancakes, or french toast. Every breakfast item I've tried has been great. I can con really well so I know good food. The sausage gravy is good, the pancakes my son likes the Oreo Pancakes. The bananas fosters French toast and even plain French toast. The strawberry crepes, the veggie burger and cheese burger. The French fries are always crispy very crispy A1. I've had this on my list for a long time, and we finally got a chance to go. It's a tiny place, and you'd better be ready to wait and take the first table available. The service is OK, they were definitely stretched a bit thin in the day we visited. The menu is quite extensive, and there are a lot of options. I appreciated being able to get some "special" pancakes for the kids at a reasonable price. The other meals were very good, although it took a while to get them. I'm guessing the kitchen is equally small. They did have a fair amount of carry out, too. As long as you have time for a leisurely meal, this is an very good option when you're in the area. This the cutest and tastiest cafe I've been to! The French Toast and Waffles and Crepes are GREAT. I love getting breakfast here. The food is super tasty and the prices are great as well. The waitress I always have is a doll- very sweet and always has time for each customer. Only problem is the restaurant size. But I can't hold that against them!! Not particularly their fault it's so popular. (: Just expect a bit of waiting time during breakfast rush. I have not tried lunch there yet, but I trust it's just as good. read more

I'm a little surprised that we didn't discover this place sooner. It's in a rather unassuming location along Hall road, and from the outside doesn't appear to be anything particularly special. As others have commented you'll need to pack your patience if you're coming when it's busy, as there are relatively few tables. The servers all struck me as being engaging and glad to be on the job. I was told the owner was in the back cooking, which is always a good sign. As has also been commented, make sure you come hungry as the portions are gigantic. Sometimes gigantic portions doesn't equivocate with quality food. I'm pleased to report that's not the case here. The hashbrowns had a wonderful creamy affect in the right amount of crispiness. My breakfast sandwich was also terrific made with turkey sausage that had just the right amount of bite, and a nice fresh piece of Ciabata bread. Top it all off of the delicious cup of coffee and breakfast was wonderful! read more

Decided to try this place bc it has great reviews and everyone seems to like it. It was ok. I had an omelette that was ok, nothing special but the hash browns are so weird. It's a stack like 6 inches high so the top layer is browned but then it's a huge pile of raw potato underneath. I've never seen anything like it. Def not for me. But the 2 stars is bc my daughters pancakes tasted like vinegar! I was wondering why she wouldn't eat them. I didn't notice this until I tried to heat up left over when we got home. I smelled the vinegar and then took a bite and it was the grossest thing ever. Idk if this was a mistake bc I can't imagine their pancakes could taste like this normally. Fantastic French toast! Literally the best French toast I have ever had! I had one bit of an irritation as we have been here numerous times and I absolutely LOVE their food. But on one occasion I started smelling cigarettes. It was a very cold day and so when I watched the waitress walk back to the kitchen, as the door flew open I could see a couple of the kitchen staff in the back outside with the door open smoking. If you want a smoke then go ahead but don't leave the door open so the smoke goes throughout the restaurant! I mentioned this to the waitress and she completely denied it. This kinda made me mad because I know what I saw! She even got a bit snippy at which point I said I'm simply asking for it not to happen. Enter the "manager" and eventually I sent a request to the health dept. which I never would have done as I love their food! But just have your kitchen staff close the door when they smoke outside. This is one of those places that I hesitate to review. I've eaten here twice and both times were amazing. Both times I was also able to be seated immediately, had great service and did not feel the slightest bit rushed. Definitely one of those gems that if everyone knew about it you would not be able to get a table, especially considering how tiny the restaurant is. I waited until I had tried both a savory then a sweet order. On the savory side, their classic eggs benedict shows perfectly poached eggs are possible. The chef is not stingy with the hollandaise either, it's not an artsy drizzle that leaves you wanting more, but plenty for every bit. The benedict comes with a side of hash browns as well, the top layer crispy covering softer bits beneath. On the sweet side, the stuffed french toast is equally as good. Cream cheese stuffed between two of the largest slices of french toast, strawberry sauce and fresh blueberries. No syrup needed. Also perfection: the bacon. Caught at that right moment were it is crisp but still chewy. I would eat here every morning if I could, the menu is huge, making it difficult to pick as there are so many amazing options (including a good amount of vegetarian items). But the portions are almost as large as the selection and most (breakfast, there are several healthier lunch options) are not waistline friendly (they do have granola but c'mon, if I was going to eat granola I'd stay home). On both my visits the service was as good as the food. Friendly, relaxed staff, orders coming out quickly. The only negative note is that the decor is not much to look at. But the food quality and service make up for what the design lacks. read more

I was hesitating waiting as their were several people waiting outside on this sunny Sunday morning and assumed it would be a long time before being seated.....but being it was just my man and I we quickly got a table. This little cafe in a strip mall offers a great menu. The food is prepared well. I had hashbrowns extra crispy (cooked perfect) 2 eggs, ham and bacon and sausage along with coffee and toast. My date had a sausage cheese omelette with toast and Oj our bill was under $18. The waitress kept the coffee full and was very polite. Even though it's small they did have a few tables with groups of 6-8 but I think they waited quite a while. I would try this again if in the area. They could use a bench or two outside for their older patrons that were waiting. It appeared they do a good take out business as well so that might be a good option. read more

Holy cow, but this place is expensive! We went for a late breakfast on Sunday. She had the chicken strawberry salad, I had the tri Berry French toast. They were both excellent, but even with skipping coffee our bill came to nearly $24. That's just too high for breakfast, especially when there are so many other places nearby who can do a decent breakfast at a great price. Came here yesterday for brunch around 12-1230ish. The wait wasn't bad at all, for two people we waited maybe 10 minutes. The place is pretty small with an odd arrangement of tables but the food is great. I ordered the sweet and savory French toast with no powdered sugar and I have to admit that it was quite possibly the best breakfast item I've had in years! It was a perfect balance of sweet and salty- 2pc of French toast and inside of it was a cheese omelette with sausage and bacon. Drizzle on some syrup and you're in business! 10/10 would get that again which sucks because everything else on their menu looked amazing when it came out to other tables. Hard to choose what to order next time! V got the breakfast combo with extra bacon and extra sausage, plus a cup of coffee and my meal our total was $25 and it was HUGE and delicious. They have savory and sweet crepes, a bunch of egg bennys, and even lunch options if you don't like breakfast. I decided to take my mom and family out for Mother's Day breakfast while visiting this weekend at Le Andos after seeing so many great reviews on Yelp. While the food was pretty good and the menu was unique, the wait time for a table and kitchen ticket times left room for improvement, so I'm giving four stars for overall experience. If you only care about the food, skip down to the last paragraph! When we arrived, there was just one person waiting in the small seating area and two empty tables, so we thought we would be seated quickly. We were not quoted a wait time initially, and after seeing some folks come in and get seated ahead of us, I realized they were calling or texting folks when their tables were ready. We waited about 25 minutes before checking to see where we were on the list, and they quoted us another 25 minutes as there were still seven people in front of us. We started listening to the host and everyone was being quoted about an hour wait. One person that came in said they called ahead to put their name on the list, so that may be an option to speed up your wait. The restaurant was small, so I'm sure some people were likely waiting in their cars or perusing the strip mall while waiting since there weren't many people inside waiting. Next, while we waited patiently for a table, I noticed at least five tables of customers had been in the restaurant for just as long as we had waited for a table and were just getting ready to cash out (~55 minutes). This means the tables were not turning very fast, which was likely part of the reason for the long wait. We also noticed several to-go orders going out the door, meanwhile just THREE tables in the dining room had food on their tables. I am not sure what the wait times for to-go orders are like, but it seemed like the kitchen was having to fit the to-go orders in between the dining room, again contributing to the long wait times to be seated and slow turning of tables. We were excited about the unique menu, and enjoyed our meals. I had the Florentine crepes with hash browns and thought it had good flavor. The crepe was s little thick compared to others I've had, but none the less delicious. The hash browns were a little buttery for my liking, but the portion was huge and I was able to share. My boyfriend had the Chicken Fiesta and thought it was good. He upgraded his pancakes for an up-charge to try the fruity tooty specialty cakes and loved them. My mom had chicken and waffles, and she said she liked them, but I was disappointed that the chicken tenders were frozen rather than freshly battered and breaded chicken. My dad had banana bread French toast and he said it was delicious. We ordered French toast wrapped bacon and blueberry custard crepes for the table to share and the bacon could have been a little more crispy. I don't think I'd order that again. The blueberry custard crepes were really good though, and we were lucky to have some leftover to take home for dessert! read more

What an amazing way to start off the day! While out running a few errands I decided to stop in and see how all the reviews & photos translated to the tastebuds. Immediate seating & prompt friendly service are always a plus, especially when you already know what you wanna order. No matter how many things jump off the menu I can rarely bring myself to pass up an opportunity to have eggs Benedict for breakfast, or lunch, or dinner. I'm not really sure were the fascination with them started to be honest. Maybe is has something to do with toasted muffins topped with thinly sliced ham, or the over easy eggs that ooze yellow goodness when you put the fork to them. Maybe it's the hollandaise sauce, with hints of lemon & butter that become the icing on the cake (sorry didn't mean to get you thinking about cake at breakfast time). Throw in some crispy shredded hashbrowns cooked golden brown on a well seasoned flattop topped with ketchup and I think we have a few good reasons why. I couldn't think of one reason why I wouldn't be back to try some of the awesome waffles I have seen here via the photos on Yelp. Great spot for breakfast. read more

Needed a place to meet my sister for breakfast before hitting up Costco. Was searching thru Yelp and came upon this place. What a hidden gem! It's in a shopping center that I have driven by many times and have never noticed this restaurant. What an awesome breakfast menu, with soooooo many choices. My sister had a country omelette and was happy with it. I had the Chicken Shawarma hash which I was so excited they offered (never seen anything like that on a breakfast menu) and it was very good. I got a side of tzatziki to go with it and it hit the spot. Huge dish, I couldn't even finish it. The 4 stars is only because the place is soooooo small and very crowded, so if going during high traffic time be prepared for a wait in a very small spot. read more

Ever since this restaurant opened, I had been wanting to give it a try. Especially since I heard such positive things about it. My mom and I go out to lunch during the week usually a couple times a month and I thought this would be a nice place for us both to try. The size of the cafe is quite cozy and small, with about a dozen or so tables but it's just big enough to give personal and quality service. The menu selections and goodness of the food are also what make this cafe so inviting. There are so many choices to decide on, that you can't help but want to come back and try another delicious meal. So many of the foods they make are items you just don't find at other cafes and this is what sets it apart from the 'usual' restaurants in our area. I admired the decor and ambiance so I inquired about it. Everything was bought local at one of our home decorating stores in our area. This scored points with me because adding to our local economy is what we need more of. I wanted something light and sweet and decided on the Chunky Monkey. It was presented so beautifully, I couldn't wait to try that first bite. When I did, it was a bit of heaven as I tasted the mixtures of flavors swirling around in my mouth in that delicious first fork full. My mom looked over at my plate and said that might be her next dish to try! It was so rich and chocolatey, that I decided to take some of it home and I had it a while later when I had more room to enjoy it a second time! The service was very attentive and super friendly and as I sat there eating the delicious crepes and enjoying the atmosphere, I couldn't help but notice how well everyone that worked there got along and seemed to enjoy each other's company. Receiving a warm greeting upon arriving and another warm goodbye upon our departure, made the first visit a memorable one and I'm looking forward to returning in the near future. Le Andos is a hidden gem! First went with my friend because of their Gluten free options and they do NOT disappoint! It is very rare to find a place that will make specialty pancakes GF have a menu full of options. And the food is quality. The staff has always been super nice, the place is clean, the only thing that seems to be an issue is space because they're so good but too small for how popular they've become! Sometimes you have to wait for seating and they don't take call aheads. To sum it up, one of my fave little spots! read more

So we wake up early to come here, first in line outside because this place gets packed (it's for the food not the service). So we're the first one's in and guess what...the waitress doesn't take our order till 8:16 is that great service, far from. She went to four other tables before she took our order, the other waitress on the other side of the restaurant rocked. Wish we would have sat on that side. She had people's drinks out and taking orders before we even had our drinks out. I really hate being a salty dog, but if the owners don't read these shame on them.
