There isn't much about this place that is Irish. The staff is definitely not Irish, the interior is more of a haunted house vibe, and the menu is very generic. The service is poor. Servers don't check on anyone in the restaurant. Ever. Every patron had to ask the mini queen behind the bar for extra water or condiments. The food is very bland. Very simple. Look at the picture of the onion on my burger.... Come on do better. Bread was stale and flakey. This place must still exist because lack of other options. People are settling.

I was very pleased with everything here. The safety measures were on point. Temperature taking, contract tracing form, sanitizer and mask wearing when not seated. Service was friendly, prompt and attentive. The atmosphere was what you would hope for in an Irish pub.. Cool, fun with great food and drinks. They checked all boxes. I ordered the chicken fingers & mozzarella sticks along with a few IPA's. All great. Best mozzarella sticks I've ever had. Wow! Next time your in the Washington Heights, NY area, give this place a try. You will be happy you did. I will be returning.

Best place in the world! I love it here and highly recommend this as a NYC staple to all tourists and all those who haven't had the pleasure of dining there. Don't miss out. Seriously. Food is to die for here. These kind of amazing pub/restaurant experiences are a rare gem and a must for any time of the day. Brunch, lunch, dinner, dessert, you name it, each one they knock out of the park. The kitchen staff, the servers, the managers, all are incredibly welcoming and accommodating to all sorts of needs. Thank you, Le Chéile. I've shared so many great memories with you over the years and look forward to many more delicious meals and cozy nights with you. gemineyez

Chiele sits on a street stripped with some cool cafes giving washington Heights its formal step into Bushwick level gentrification. Vegan items on the menu and $3 happy hour beers are your first clue. Chiele is clean comfortable and hangoutable. It's a stand out in the neighborhood with its happy hour and decent food. I had the vegetarian chili nachos for $15 which was pretty decent. I had the $3 red house lager which was fresh and tasty. Decent crowd that was a good mix of the locals. If you're in the area it's a reco.

I've been here a few times and had a solid experience so I decided to come here on July 4th with friends. For the price, the food I received was abysmal. Pictures speak for themselves. Venue is nice, servers are friendly, but the food here is very hit or miss and for the prices that's a hard compromise, there are better options in the area.

I've been here before brunch was good the first time- dinner was okay. Had the grilled chicken sand-which; bf had the steak sandwich ( not enough steak); order of wings as an appetizer. Happy hour $3 beers (3types) & $5 wine (2 types).

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with champagne, which immediately set the tone for a special evening. Our server, Daniel, was beyond amazing. He was warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our anniversary meaningful. It never felt forced just thoughtful, polished hospitality. The team went above and beyond when we brought our wedding cake (which had been frozen for a year). Not only did they accommodate it without hesitation, they helped decorate and present it beautifully you would have thought it had been baked that same day. It was such a touching moment for us, and they handled it with care and enthusiasm. As for the food: incredible. The steak tartare was perfectly balanced and beautifully prepared. The tuna was fresh and vibrant. And the Beef Wellington... honestly one of the best I've had in New York City. Perfectly cooked, rich, elegant, and absolutely worthy of a celebration dinner. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance: romantic, warm, refined but relaxed. It felt special without being stiff. If you're looking for a place to celebrate something meaningful, this is it. We will absolutely return.

We started with the steak tartare with Melba toast and caviar. For entrees we had the creamy cavatelli with maitake and squash. We finished off with a gorgeous sticky toffee pudding served with bourbon vanilla ice cream and crunchy toffee pieces. We loved the grandeur of the space and the cozy fireplace. It makes for an ideal business dinner setting

Always a solid choice, though it could have been a bit colder. The bartenders were very nice and attentive, and the place clearly has a strong group of regulars. There was a friendly, familiar energy in the room that made it feel welcoming right away. Once my friend arrived, I tried "The Greatest Espresso Martini" and asked to swap the vodka for bourbon. They were very accommodating, and the drink turned out delicious. Rich, smooth, and good enough that I ordered a second. The music and lighting both hit the right balance, making it an easy, comfortable place to settle in for the night.

Unfortunately, our server only heard that 5 of us wanted afternoon tea, and one of the tiers of food was smaller than the others. We also had to pay extra for additional tea, which we were fine with, but service was severely lacking throughout. Our server didn't check up on us, and seemed to want us to leave quickly after dropping off the check. We would have been happy to pay the $65 each for afternoon tea, but it wasn't worth it and frankly, I was agitated by the whole ordeal by the time I left. We were also disappointed by the food items (as they were lacking) and nothing about this was like other experiences we had with other afternoon teas. I can't in good faith recommend this place, nor do I see myself coming back after the atrocious service we experienced.
