The best meal of our trip to Paris and likely our trip to Europe generally. Food was "home cooked" meaning it was prepared in the restaurant rather than prepared elsewhere, frozen, and shipped to the restaurant (as many other restaurants do). The French toast with foie gras, pan-fried smoked duck breast, poached pear, and honey-cumin sauce was unique and delicious. For an entree I got the 7-hour beef cheek fondant with gratin dauphinois and bordelaise sauce. This was incredible. My partner got the duck breast with vegetables and a honey cumin sauce, and he also loved his dish. We unfortunately did not have the time or appetite to stay for dessert but I'm sure their selections were great, as lots of things looked good. The service was terrific. Very friendly and helpful. The building is also beautiful and cozy inside.

Le Colimaçon gave us one of our absolute favorite meals in Paris. Tucked away in a cozy corner of Le Marais, the restaurant oozes charm from the moment you walk in--stone walls, intimate tables, and the kind of ambiance that makes you want to stay for hours (and we practically did). We started with a bottle of Viognier, which paired beautifully with the escargot and goat cheese-stuffed piquillo peppers. Both were perfectly balanced and rich in flavor--a phenomenal start. For mains, the table split: Scallops for my wife--incredible, beautifully cooked and plated like a work of art. A 10 oz ribeye for my daughter, who also tried Paris Cola (and, as a picky eater, surprised us all by loving both--clearly the Paris magic was working). And then... the 1kg ribeye shared between me and my son. It was massive, juicy, and absolutely delicious. We barely made it to the finish line, but no regrets. To pair with the steaks, we switched to a Syrah and Grenache blend, which was bold, silky, and just what the meal called for. We ended things with crème brûlée and chocolate mousse--both fantastic. The mousse leaned rich and smooth, and the crème brûlée had that perfect crackle top with velvety custard underneath. The food, the service, the ambiance--it was everything a Parisian bistro dinner should be. Get a reservation! We watched several people come in to be told they were booked from opening until 9:30 PM. Highly recommend. Wear comfortable clothes and bring an appetite--you'll want to savor every bite.

We have been to Paris two times, ate at probably 20 different places and this is by far the best place. So good it's the only place we've ate twice. It's the only Paris place we've gone too with okay steak, this one is excellent. The Snails are a must order, duck is very good as well. Awesome building, ask for the table upstairs next to the window if it's just two of you.

I really enjoyed my time here. We arrived late (9:25) and they close at 10p. Staff was nice and allowed us time to order without feeling rushed. The food was really good and had a great presentation. The service was fast snd the ambiance was nice. Two floor to fine. Both areas small but with just enough space to dine.

We came here on a Sunday without reservations. I called them to see if they had any tables available since they were fully booked online. Luckily, they were able to fit us in last minute. This was one of our favorite meals in Paris. All the dishes we tried were delicious and the french wine we had was also really good. My favorite appetizers were the foie gras toast and asparagus with truffle cream. Our entrees were also delicious, we had the duck breast and rabbit leg. The portions were pretty big and we were waddling out of the restaurant afterwards. Service was excellent as well! The server spoke english and she was very nice and attentive.

French toast. Possibly the best dessert I had in paris

We loved this place! Everyone was so cute and friendly, and the food was fab! The only thing I'd recommend is arriving a bit early. We had 9:30 reservation, and we had to change our main course order twice since the first two choices (I think it was beef and rabbit) were sold out by the time we sat down. We ended up with foie gras, the trio de fromages (because: cheese) and a tomato salad as entrees and the duck as our main/plat. It was all really delicious. The duck did not taste like it should've been third choice. It was very tasty. The big standout was the French toast dessert. It was SO delicious! It's been a month, and I'm still thinking about it. Bottom line: you'll probably love it. The food was great, and I bet it would've been even better if I had arrived a little earlier because there would've been more to try. More is more when it comes to food. Good food is so much better when the service is on point. The service here is so friendly, fun, and welcoming. They made you feel totally okay with half of the things you wanted to order being gone. I wish we had gone back to try one of the other courses we wanted but weren't able to try that night. The problem is that it's Paris!!! How do you go back when there are 15,000 others you can try?

Great bistro for French food in the touristy area! I love the idea of putting snails in a chip. One of the challenges for foie gras is it's easy to make to make it greasy. But the cumin sauce solves that. The duck and stuffed rabbit leg are both amazing, and my taste bud blew when I had the yam with purée.

A small but very quaint restaurant in Le Marais. We sat downstairs, there is also a small dining room upstairs. We had an excellent meal here, service too, very friendly. My beef was perfectly cooked and the pimentos were divine.

Yes, yes and yes. This place is a MUST GO to when visiting Paris. Started with escargot chips which were the best I had all trip and duck French toast. Got the duck confit and steak for dinner and was impressed with both. Ended with the French toast, chocolate soufflé and crème brûlée. Definitely make a reservation because this place is awesome!

    Stuffed Rabbit

This place was amazing and so cute! The staff was so kind to us and so helpful to answer all of our questions. We got the stuffed rabbit which has been one of my absolute favorite things to eat in all of Paris so far! I'd recommend this dish and this restaurant to anyone!

I didn't mind the wait if the food was good, but it wasn't the case for me. The mustard dressing salad was ok but the steak was so dry and I could eat only 3 slices. The waitress was very nice. She encouraged me to eat more but I just couldn't. I told her that I would skip the second plate. She actually packed the leftover for me but the food which didn't taste good then wouldn't taste good later, either. I had a bite of the steak later but I still didn't like it. The wine also tasted like water. We just laughed how bad everything was. This place is popular among tourists and I fell for it. Anyway I thought I should share my experience.

Unfortunately, they don't let you eat a full meal at the bar, only snacks. We waited for a cancellation, and ultimately the bartender was able to speak to the manager and find us a table! The French chateaubriand was outstanding, perfectly cooked and with a flavor profile completely different than American beef. Side dishes were well made and tasty, and the wine list solid. Every single thing we ate (and there were many things) was mind-blowingly delicious. There were cocktails (and mocktails!): a Last Word (Monkey 47 gin, Green Chartreuse, Luxardo, lime) for him and a Golden Pear mocktail for me. Both were outstanding and we each had two. We had the Beefy Bravas--a mille feuille potato topped with beef tartare and caviar--the Tobiko Crab Salad, and the Thai Salad (with seared toro, it's easily the best Thai papaya salad I've ever had). All were bonkers awesome. For our meat course, the husband got the Wagyu Picanha (all evidence points to it being a remarkable piece of beef) and I got the veal filet. The veal was one of the tenderest, most delicious pieces of meat I've ever eaten. The haricots beets we got as a side were crisp and sweet, and the pommes purées were otherworldly (complimentary). This is where the good part stops. The atmosphere of the restaurant was fine. But it was HOT. It is unusually hot in Paris this week but it was stifling inside the restaurant. But we could have dealt with that (the food was that good). The really disappointing part, however, was the service. We waited 20 minutes for anyone to ask if we wanted drinks (the restaurant was not crowded) and another 25 for someone to ask if we wanted to order. For context, a couple who arrived 10-15 minutes after us got a bottle of wine and their first course before the server--the same server for both tables--ever came to take our order. And it was like that throughout the meal. It's a shame, too, because the meal was exceptional otherwise. The service was bad enough that we won't return.
