Been meaning to dine here for a while and finally got here for a special Mothers Day lunch. So good! Every dish was delicious and we barely scratched the surface of the menu. Excellent service, lovely evocative vibe/decor. We had the lotus root salad, cabbage/chicken salad, tuna tartare, "shaking beef", fried rice, stir fried noodles and Brussels sprouts. Plus two delicious desserts. Will be back for sure. (Pricey, yes, but worth it)

This was my first time and I'm so glad I tried this place out. The service, the staff, the food and the ambiance was all overly impressive! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will 100% be back to try more of their delicious food!

I love this restaurant. (Been to Chicago, Atlanta as well). This was a spur of the moment, walk in 10 minutes before lunch closed and we're still treated as if we were part of the dinner crowd with a reservation. Shrimp rolls, beet salad, noodles. All perfection. I told our server it was my niece's birthday while she ran to the restroom. "Chocolate or vanilla" Vanilla and the most amazing crème brûlée appeared. We both loved it.

Unique atmosphere, Cherry creek prices, not worth coming back. This was disappointing because walking in I felt like we found a hidden gem. The style makes me think of the Orient express/Asian glam. For the drinks being $20+ they were off balanced and nothing we would order again. My tamarind sour was beautiful but syrupy sweet, the Old Cuban was tart and bitter. It was 3pm and the bar was almost full so the one bartender wasn't very attentive. The beef Pho had one piece of beef in it, and the broth was flavorful. The chicken curry was also very flavorful but a little on the salty side. The bartender never asked how anything was but if we were good which seemed more like, do you need anything? So I can't say the atmosphere alone would be reason enough to come back.

To start, the ambiance is lovely. Good setting for a date night. For the food we ordered: Yellowfin Tuna Taretare - Rich umami and flavor. Excellent appetizer. Green beans - Unfortunately came out dry and some pieces were too chewy. Beef Loc Lac (Shaking Beef) - Meat was tender and had good flavor. Claypot Chicken - Chicken was very dry and not too much flavor. In general I wish the food was more hot when it arrived. In addition the food were on the sweeter side of things. Was hoping for more flavor profiles. Personally I think the dishes, especially claypot and shaking beef were overpriced for what they were and the quantity you get.

I was so excited to try this place. I read some excellent reviews about the food. The place was so beautiful. I loved the decor! I specifically walked from my hotel 10 min away on my lunch break to try their pho that they advertise as "decades old recipe". It was horrible. It came with 2 pieces of meat, no garnishes on the side, just some green onions, basil and bean sprouts floating in canned beef broth. I would give the ambiance 10/10 but the pho was 0/10. The bartender was super nice but I wish he would have told me how bad that dish was. But maybe he didn't know!

Big thanks to the Manager for making our night special! I know he worked hard to make some rearrangements so I sincerely appreciate his kindness when I first walked in. They accommodated our party of nine even with a last-minute seating change. The hostess told me that its against corporate policy to have a party over 9 when I first asked which startled me a bit. But once the Manager stepped in, all was at ease. He then explained to us that they typically require private dining after 8. Chef Matthew was incredible, welcoming everyone as we arrived, explaining the menu, and letting us know we'd need to order all at once so the kitchen could pace dishes. Chef Grace was equally fantastic. When there was a mix-up with the beef salad, she fixed it immediately and even comped the beet salad, which was so generous. The food was fun to try as a Vietnamese household because we knew it would be a unique Vietnamese-French blend. The restaurant is gorgeous with a chic velvet ambiance. Dishes leaned much more on the sweeter and citrusy side which felt at times too overpowering with some strong oyster sauce and curry notes, but overall a great experience. Service was excellent with waters constantly refilled and dishes cleared quickly. Valet and paid parking nearby made it easy. Overall, it was a special night for us to celebrate a birthday and for my grandma's last night in town. Thank you to the manager, chef, food runners, bussers, the water attendant, kitchen staff, and valet attendant for accommodating our party of 9! We ordered: Soups & salad: Goi du du Goi bo Large plates: Bo luc lac Mi xao don chay (added shrimp) Ca hoi nuong Specials: Ca chien Saigon Shareable sides: Com chien dac biet Dau que xao Mi tuoi xao bong he Ca Tim nuong We also ordered a few drinks so total with gratuity included: $659.90. This is roughly $74/person

The appetizers here are divine especially the ribs and garlic noodles. The main dishes were just okay for me, and overall I found it a bit overpriced. It leans more toward a fusion concept than truly authentic cuisine. I don't think it's worth the price for food unless you're coming for the experience. That said, the service was excellent and the overall experience felt upscale and polished. The ambiance is beautiful, intimate, warm, and thoughtfully designed. The restaurant's history is also really interesting, and the décor definitely caught my eye. I'll let you do your own deep dive when you visit. Parking is paid during certain hours.

Been wanting to try Le Colonial for so long and I'm so glad I went for my boyfriend and I's anniversary! The service is top tier, we were constantly checked on and they wanted to make sure we had a perfect dinner. It's pretty busy so I recommend making a reservation beforehand. The ambiance is nice and the lights are dim. For food we got the banh uot, bo luc lac (could have more meat and less veggies) pork ribs (a bit on the drier side), and crème brûlée which were all delicious! Only con of the night is I firmly believe at any restaurant serving Asian dishes there should be rice included in the entrees especially for how expensive it is! Other than that, I can see myself definitely coming back!

I wasn't aware this was one of 7 restaurants around the country. It has the unique feeling and a one of a kind type of place. What a great way of spending my birthday. It has a very upscale feeling so I'm glad I dressed up. Recommend a reservation and make it early if you need to catch a show or movie. We never felt rushed and we made our show down the road with plenty of time. Staff was very kind and made some great recommendations. We started with Chicken Dumplings and our drinks while we continued to decide on our entrees. I like a place that doesn't rush your decisions. I had the roasted salmon which was perfect amount food. Cooked perfectly and very flavorful. I would definitely go back and order the same thing,

A very large restaurant offering fine dining Vietnamese-French fusion with a diverse option of dishes. Their beef ravioli was my favorite. The rice noodles were thick and the beef was so flavorful. The chicken cabbage salad with grapefruit was fine but I wouldn't order again. The seabass unfortunately was overcooked so it did not have the flaky texture it was supposed to and instead was tougher but I did enjoy the sauce and garnishing. That was disappointing considering the dish was almost $50. It was my friend's birthday and they brought out a tiny shortbread cookie with piece of a dark chocolate. The service was attentive and quick.

I have been to Le Colonial several times for drinks and also Dinner. I loved the location in San Francisco. My last time here was for my birthday @ 6:30 but didn't get seated till 7:10. This location is wildly successful and I am sureit is hard to manage. Thank you for comping us a bottle for the wait ( we did purchase two additional bottles) This Le Colonial us drop dead gorgeous. The dining room and the bar are very hip french Vietnam chic. Food is excellent... great menu. Great wine and cocktail list. Service was fantastic even with the crush of customers. Added bonus that I can walk here from my home I would definitely recommend you make reservations.... Its a wonderfully romantic date night place

Such a great fusion of Vietnamese and French food! This upscale dining restaurant and Lounge even has a separate bar area. Definitely not a place that you can just come off the street as it does have a dress code. We came in for dinner on a Wednesday night and it was much busier than expected. Make sure to book a reservation and ask for Grace as your server! She was fantastic with with the recommendations and such a great personality. She told us we should do a small plate and an entrée per person so started off with crispy shrimp and pork roll and pan seared chicken dumplings. I thought for sure I was going to like the dumplings, but the shrimp and pork rolls sauce it came with was so yummy! For large plates we did the shaking beef and half roasted duck. The duck was sweet and tender and cooked perfectly. I didn't realize it was a create your own bao bun situation so that was a pleasant surprise. We had plenty of leftovers and it was even good the next day. I came in to celebrate a promotion and was pleasantly surprised with the congratulations next to the vanilla crème brûlée Grace brought out! Make sure that you save room for a cocktail! My favorite was the Hanoi coffee. It's like they take on an espresso martini.

I've seen valet service during the weeknight hours and weekends. I'm not sure about valet service during their weekday lunch period though.

When you think of Vietnamese, Americans tend to think of Pho, noodle bowls and lemongrass chicken but we need more places the focuses in home cooking and dishes that locals eat. Ingredients are fresh and dishes pack a powerful flavor bomb...I mean wow! The use of shrimp paste and other traditional ingredients really elevate flavors that many Americans are not used to, but you have to try it to understand. Their claypots are a must order and with a side of rice....you'll be eating for days! The star of the night was the pork and calamari claypot which is cooked in shrimp paste and your favorite Vietnamese spices and herbs. You'll finish bowls of rice with this dish, it packs so much flavor that you'll be wanting more. It's a great mix of salty, sweet and umami from the fermented shrimp paste. The Vietnamese curry was thick and packed with succulent shrimp. The veggies at a very nice brightness to balance out the coconut milk. The last dish we had was a shrimp lemon grass in the clay pot and that was also a hit with everyone! Service is amazing and they definitely know how to recommend dishes to match your taste buds. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the dishes in English to my friends who don't speak Vietnamese. A mix of great flavors but lack of service and sufficient cleanliness that could be better. What I ordered for food: - P16 (Beef Rib & Brisket Pho): Since it was happy hour, this was a decent deal. The rib was solid! Very tender and tasty. The broth itself was clear and had that savory flavor that makes a good bowl of pho. Portions were huge though because it only comes in large. -BH2 (Bún Bò Huế Pork Hock): The broth was clear and rich which I liked, but unfortunately, the pork hock itself didn't taste like much and lacked flavor. Wouldn't get again. -BH5 (Bánh Lọc Trần) & BH7 (Bánh Ít Có Ram): The waiter recommended putting these two together as a combo, which worked out great. The starchy tapioca dumplings paired perfectly with the spicy fish sauce on the side, and the sweet rice flour dumplings on the shrimp crackers gave it a really satisfying crunch. Would order again, but I also can see how I wouldn't keep ordering cause can be a bit heavy and starchy. The Service: This is where the experience fell short. The restaurant wasn't filled at all, yet it took a long time for a server to bring us water and take our order. Throughout the meal, no one ever checked in or refilled our waters. When we were ready to leave, we couldn't get anyone's attention for a to-go container. Ambiance: My main concern was the dirtiness of the chairs and tables. There was leftover food from prior customers and stains. Also a fly kept getting close to our food, I was uncomfortable. Overall, the food has a lot of potential, but the service and cleanliness need a major upgrade to match the kitchen. I'd give a 5 for food overall, but 3 for service and cleanliness.
