Have been wanting to try this place for quite awhile. The service was good and the food was ok, but not stellar. All the food items were SO salty. We love salt, but no other seasonings seemed to be used except an excess of salt. We each had the French onion soup and it was so salty we could not eat it all. The Caesar salad was really dry. My husband had the steak frites and said it was ok (but again salty) his was cooked correctly at medium rare. I ordered the beef Wellington as it sounded amazing, and I love filet, and ordered it medium rare. It came out so tough and over done I could not chew it. I do not know if it was the quality of the meat or how it was cooked, but it was too tough to eat. The mashed potatoes and mushroom risotto was ok but way too much salt. The presentation was nice and it all looked good, just not what we hoped for. read more

Dade city has a ton of great restaurants but this one stands out as one of the best. It was so hard to choose one entree because I wanted to try at least three. Everything was prepared perfectly. Wonderful! Just off Main Street in quaint Dade City, we discovered Le Garden Bistro. Meal started with warmed bread and truffle butter. Atmosphere is simple and cozy, with the chef just steps away in the kitchen. Outside there is a spacious patio under umbrellas surrounded by iron gate, living up to its French bistro influence. The half chicken entree was paired with roasted brussel sprouts and mashed potato. The sprouts were overdone and greasy (reason for 4.5 stars) but the chicken and mashed were delicious. Not to be outdone was Michael, our server. He was attentive and personable, and along with the food, a reason to return. read more

We loved having lunch here recently and decided to come back to try dinner. The service once again was outstanding. The atmosphere is very quaint and romantic. It's the perfect spot for a date night! You will hear French music playing softly which is a nice touch. The bread with garlic spread is so good. The bread was fresh, hot and soft. My husband ordered the ribeye which was cooked perfectly. It was juicy and full of flavor. I had the chicken which was seasoned and bursting with delicious flavors. The cream sauce was amazing. The mashed potato's and Brussels sprouts complimented the chicken so well. Crème brûlée was the best way to end another wonderful dining experience. My husband and son were at a haunted house and I really wanted to have dinner somewhere nice. Despite not having nice clothes on this trip, they allowed me to sit and have dinner. The scallops were the best I've ever had; I would return for those again if I could! They were out of mussels, but I wanted to try those. The crispy duck breast was cooked perfectly with a delicious sauce and I choose mashed potatoes. I got my husband the lamb Togo and he enjoyed every bite! The bread with truffle butter was amazing!! Finally got to try this little gem. It's attached to the Wine Library and it's how I noticed this spot. The inside is very cute and gives off French vibes. We were seated quickly on a Saturday. However, I did not like that we were sat in the middle of the restaurant , felt like the center of attention lol but I was just happy to be there so I didn't make a fuss. I love that they serve bread before while you wait for your food, as I was starving that day and the bread was great to hold me over. To start, my bf and I ordered the French onion soup and it was delicious! I also ordered a glass of wine. Was a bit surprised they didn't offer wines from the wine library and I know that they serve their food on the other side. Who knows, maybe I just had to ask, but the menu did not have their options. For dinner I ordered the beef Wellington and my bf ordered the half chicken. Both had great flavor, however they were both super heavy on the salt. Still, it was so good I ate whole meal. The presentation of the beef Wellington was beautiful and I loved the pastry it was wrapped in. Would love it if more options were added to the menu. Walked in to a lovely decorated restaurant, greeted by Dulce. We were seated by the window with clear view of downtown Dade City courthouse. Service with a smile, knowledgeable of menu and drinks. Started with drinks, water always filled. Started with Cesar salad and mussels no complaints. Crispy Duck cooked to perfection and Red Snapper tasted flavored. It's country fine dinning at its best. Best lunch we had while traveling in Dade City area. I had the reuben sandwich and it was delicious. The ingredients were tasty, fresh and cooked perfectly. The server was a pleasant young man and we enjoyed talking to him throughout the time at this restaurant. The restaurant felt comfortable and clean. First off, let me just say I'm embarrassed that I live in Dade City and Friday was our first time trying out Le Garden Bistro. Secondly, if you're reading this and are trying to decide if you're going here, please, just go here. I didn't take a picture of the menu and for whatever reason the site is down so I'll be a little generic on the food we ordered but it should suffice. Our server was Dulce and she did a fantastic job of recommending wines and suggested a few different things for the entrée. We opted for a bottle of Chardonnay from France after a sample of two Chardonnays were provided. As for the food, we ordered a mussels appetizer, a grouper over rice and a seafood tagliatelle with a lobster saffron sauce. Despite being completely satisfied, I had to see if the dessert delivered the same excellence as the meal. Spoiler; it did. It was a bread pudding with a caramel sauce. Here's what I feel needs stated. There were several opportunities for common culinary missteps; the cream sauce could've been too salty, or the pasta sauce broken and oily, the grouper could've been overcooked slightly, etc. The ONLY thing I'd have a suggestion for is the butter foils that were served alongside the table bread was refrigerated instead of room temp. However I insisted that we keep the remaining cream sauce from the mussels, so I didnt use/want any butter. But had I wanted to, it would've been, well you know what that's like. Again, SHAME on me for not trying this sooner. I believe it's the best culinary experience you can have in Dade City and surrounding areas. Please, if you've never been, just go. If you HAVE been, please take a moment to let everyone know how it was on Google /Facebook /Yelp etc. It's that good. Enjoy Le Garden Bistro with the utmost confidence. read more

The server didn't know where their Sauvignon Blanc was from. Prices for food were on par for the quality, pricey but worth it. We would go here again. read more

To start with the good, I wanted to love this restaurant. It is absolutely beautiful and their service was amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive. But unfortunately, the food was not. I ordered the tortellini and added chicken as it was recommended by the server. The chicken was very dry and the dish itself seemed like it was not prepared correctly. I'm kind of a foodie so I can be a little critical, but if I go to a really nice restaurant and pay top prices for such food, I expect good quality and for the food to be cooked correctly so for these reasons, I won't be going back. read more

The travel is more than worth it! An intimate dining experience. Limited menu with extraordinary quality and flavorful items. The Crispy Duck Breast was over the top with flavor.Red wine reduction. We had no expectations when we dropped in this restaurant. it was recommended by a friend. It was excellent! We both had seafood. I had the salmon, wrapped in a flaky crust and my spouse had the snapper. The service was great! The ambiance was nice. I wish more people were in this restaurant. I would hate to have this neighborhood gem go under. We need restaurants like this in the Dade City/San Antonio area. It is also associated with a wine bar next door. Awesome food and service at this little gem in DADE City. Chef comes out to check on every table. I got the crispy duck which was both crispy and juicy with a savory Demi. My wife had the salmon baked in puff pastry which was incredible. Wine is very fairly priced compared to others in the area. Can't wait to visit Le Garden again soon. read more

Overall excellent ambiance, incredible food (we had the French Onion soup, crispy duck, seafood pasta and my daughter had chicken tenders that were to die for lol) and not super busy for a Saturday night. Service was a bit slow and table was not prebussed at all even when I started stacking plates and glasses at the end of the table. If we had 4 people instead of 3 it would have gotten very cramped. The beer list could be improved with more craft options and the wine servings seemed very small especially given the per glass price. We will be back but will likely sit on the patio and order our drinks from The Wjne Library next door. read more

The food is absolutely amazing! The server is so sweet. Her name is dolce. I hope I spelled it right anyway, she always waits on us and is very knowledgeable of everything on the menu. She accommodates me and I love that! It has to be the best tasting food I probably ever had in my life and we go out to eat all the time. I've had the ribeye ,the chicken and my husband had the seafood pasta dish. My husband always gets the mussel appetizer and I get the French onion soup.. The portions are really big so we rarely get dessert, but I have had the flourless chocolate cake. It is just amazing food and amazing service. I wish they had a side salad a small one that I could get before my dinner instead of getting one of the big ones that is my only complaint.. also good food costs a little bit more so be ready, But it's so worth it.!!! Cloth napkins are always a must for me!! I'm actually gonna order takeout tonight and I'm going to get the duck and my husband will get the chicken or the seafood dish or I'd really like to try that pork one.!! My wife and I were in Dade City and decided to give Le Garden Bistro a try for dinner. What we found was a real gem!! The ambiance was crisp and clean and reminded us of a French bistro. Our server, Dulce explained the menu to us and answered all of our questions. My wife had the grouper while I had the salmon. Both were excellent. For desert we had the bread pudding that was made to order. It to was excellent.
