After dinner...Some drinks and perhaps snacks
    Elle L.

Good place for drinks and catching a sunset on Billionaires Row. Some drinks weren't that good to me but maybe it is for someone else's palate. I had 6 drinks, only 5 pictured because I was too disappointed from a French classic, Kir Royale (it didn't use blackcurrant or blackberry liquor), not even raspberry or even that as garnishment. If you name a drink, make it the way it should be made! Then got the Paris 75, which had ingredients close enough to the classic drink, French 75. There was too much gin and not enough of any citrus flavors to balance the drink with crémant brut. Too disappointing to even have a picture. The Le Meridian and Lychee Blossom drinks were solid. The other drinks were okay. The service is really slow. Took more than 15 minutes for someone to take our orders. Our waiter was a bit forgetful, too. Had to repeat several things throughout the night even when the terrace had some empty tables. The food was very disappointing. We could not finish any of it. The price point is basically just for the skyline view. The "avocado dip" had wonton skins that were VERY greasy (touch one and your fingers will be shiny with oil). Wonton skins are too thin and weak to dip and scoop up a densely packed cup of guacamole. Why weren't thicker wonton strips used? The crisped wonton skins were SO greasy we asked for something else as a dipper. They gave us ONE warmed pita bread sliced up. We only ate as much guacamole that the pita could scoop up and didn't ask for more pita because guac itself wasn't great. Barely any yuzu notes or jalapeño spiciness. There was a hint of basil but way too much scallion that turned stringy and slimy. It made the guac slimy. Some diced onion would have given a similar flavor profile and some crunch. That was fusion gone wrong--fusion confusion!! On to the "pint size" lobster rolls. They were even more disappointing than the "avocado dip"! ‍ Each piece barely had a table spoon of lobster meat so there was WAY more bread than lobster. Bread to lobster ratio was a total fail. Also, the bread was dry and hard, could not taste any butter either, it tasted old and stale. It wasn't a soft buttery brioche bun like the MANY lobster rolls I've eaten during my summers spent in Boston and Maine. Lastly the Tahitian Vanilla Creme Brulee barely had the taste of vanilla. The sugary top was paper thin on one part, the whole top was not caramelized enough to form a crust that you need to use your spoon to hit against it to crack, which is the "brulee" part. The custard was too watery and not creamy enough. Thank goodness we ate a good dinner somewhere else before coming here. What we had at this place is popular amoung many restaurants and plenty of restaurants make them better so I'm hesitant to even try other foods on their menu. I will only be coming here just for the drinks and views.

    Negroni (with olives go figure)

Very nice space, beautiful "patio" seating with nice cushioned seats. The view, well, for me a native New Yorker, It was not stunning but a stern reminder of the horrendous and towing new structures marring our landscape. There is a small peek through to see the park, which is very sweet, especially as the fall colors were visible beyond the green space of Central Park. Drinks were lovely. Interesting to serve a Negroni with olives, which I had seen prior in the photos..I must have had 100 Negroini in the past year or so, in numerous countries and many areas of Italy & Portugal, and none had accoutrements of olives, but why not ! In general, there is a stuffiness here, but that is certainly intentional and caters to those who are staying in the hotel or frequent similar spaces. The food is what needs some consideration. Enough with the Hummus, which actually was our default choice along with the very very greasy zucchini chips and a bland, thin dip along side. I am sure that someone can come up with a better example of aperitivo choices. We did need to ask about the aforementioned chips & almonds, that were not refreshed with our second round of cocktails. Honestly, for cocktail hour, nuts, olives, chips, maybe some Chex mix type array is what keeps the drinks flowing. All in all, a calm, lovely place with an upscale flavor.

Had such a lovely dinner - view were unbeatable! We came for sunset and sat outside to enjoy the incredible views of the city. The servers were incredibly attentive and friendly. Our drinks were equally pretty as delicious and we enjoyed a spread of small bites. The hummus plate was flavorful, fries were perfect, the zucchini fritters were amazing and the guac was amazing.

Came here on a Friday night around 8:30pm for drinks. The place was pretty empty, but the decor and atmosphere was nice. Happy hour was still available all night which was great. I had the Le Meridien cosmo and my friend had the espresso martini. My drink was refreshing and sweet and my friend thought hers was a little strong. Service was pleasant, I would definitely return. Probably better in the summer time or when the weather is nicer.

Had the weekend brunch and the rooftop was festive for Christmas! The food was good and the service was great. This rooftop has nice views of the city and would be great during spring/summer times.

This place was so cool. The ambiance was nice , the bartender was friendly and engaging, loved that we were able to have a conversation with him . And the views were great! We didn't eat, but I would definitely come back here to try some stuff !

VERY RUDE HERE! We were first greeted by the hostess who we were told was named Michelle. We asked if we could order food for take out. She says this is a limited menu, go downstairs instead to the Paris Bar. We didn't like that menu so we asked if we could still order from here. She points us to the bar. We asked the bartender if we can order to go. And he said the bar was closing to go and order at the outside bar. We then proceed to order our subpar food. It was nothing to brag about. Very basic food for a high price. When we asked about the name of the hostess, we were told Michelle and she is the manager. She made us feel so unwelcome. As well as a few of the staff members. The ambiance seemed nice, but not worth a visit due to the rudeness.

Very nice rooftop bar at the Meridien Hotel. Well made drinks (lemoncello martinis and old fashions), food was good and served quickly. The outside view was nice but limited. Excellent service. There are other larger roof tops with bigger views but Jardin is a nice quiet place suitable for hotel guests.

Great cocktails & happy hour!! The spicy margarita is amazing. The staff is also so sweet. Orlando is the man!

The service was impeccable, and the ambiance was absolutely stunning. I ordered the Tuna Tartare, which was delicious, and I was told the Smashburger was excellent. I especially loved the presentation of the Aperol Spritz, served on a gold tray with the option to include either olives or an orange, accompanied by a cup of ice. I'll definitely be returning!

Soooo yummy and good drinks it is expensive though. Definitely go with friends to do shareable plates

It's a very pretty space, but probably even nicer in summer because the bar opens at 5pm and has a view of Central Park which is hard to see in the dark. Their old fashioned was excellent and came with sweet popcorn, but just one cherry. The expresso martini was strong - it had some shaved chocolate on top and some ground-sugared hazelnut stuck to the outside of the glass. The menu is limited and different from the restaurant on the first floor. We had the guacamole - delicious and a generous serving, and the lobster roll. The lobster roll was also delicious, but small, though it came with plenty of fries. The service was good. They kept our water glasses full.

Drinks were delicious and server was awesome. Beautiful ambiance.

The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.
