Stopped by on a night out after dessert. This place is extremely cute and I wish I had dressed up more. The bar is upstairs and in the back of the main restaurant. The place in general is very spacious and well decorated. Not sure if these were all the correct names btt it we got the Matcha, grasshopper, and Smokey cocktail. The grasshopper was absolutely delicious, as someone who loves sweet cocktails. It was like drinking a pistachio thin mint. The Smokey cocktail indeed did smoke upon delivery. Would love to come back for the restaurant itself and another drink!

Food was really good. Drinks were good. Service was excellent. Space is beautiful. The only thing is the desserts are huge and they are not that good.

Came to Bar Lola after a Broadway show with a friend on a Friday evening. This place is huge and very busy. Love the ambiance and decor. We were able to get a seat at the bar. Great bartender and drinks were tasty. I had a moscow mule and my friend had the smoke show. I would definitely come back and check out their food next time.

Heard about the opening of a new fun bar on the west side so I stopped by on a Friday night! Struggling to decide between a 4 vs 3 star because I loved the space and concept; however the execution just missed the mark for me. Drinks: -The City Hopper: if you're into flavored lattes, I think you'll enjoy this one! With a prominent vanilla and chocolate profile, a hint of pistachio, and a minty aftertaste, this drink had a nice blend of flavors without being too sweet or the alcohol too strong. On the flip side, I can see how some might find this drink a little too creamy or with artificial flavors. -Two Left Feet: It indeed felt like an adult cream soda! Enjoyed the fizz and the sweetness plus the strong whiskey in the background. -Smoke Show: Smokey flavors were prominent but overall was too sweet for me despite the tequila and mezcal. Food: -Thai fried chicken bites: Loved the flavors of the lime power, herbs, and the cream sauce, but the chicken with a little overfried/overcooked. Wished the pieces were more tender/juicy. -Paccheri: Liked the pesto but could use more salt; pasta was also a little overcooked -Grilled escarole: Pretty standard and more watery than expected; as a result the proscuitto got a little soggy. The spice from the calabrian chili and seasoning were all there but I felt like I should have gotten the baby gem salad instead. The space is huge with two floors and some outdoor seating (some even on the balcony). Loved the 1920s decor and dim lighting with pink accent lights. My party of 2 unfortunately was seated on the second floor, tucked in the back by the staircase and sadly away from the fun action around the bar/balcony area. Drinks and food came at a reasonable time, but I felt like it our server check-ins were more sparse. Curious to see how this new bar will evolve and would be interested in checking out their other dishes/drinks in the future!

We stopped by Bar Lola during their grand opening and had a really great experience. I had a drink while I was there and it was very good. The bartender, I believe her name was Serena, was super sweet and made the visit even better by being so personable. This bar is in the location where Bourbon Street Bar & Grille used to be, and you can still see some of the same aesthetic, but with some nice upgrades. They've created a really good vibe so you can easily enjoy both upstairs and downstairs. Similar to how it used to be with the old restaurant, the downstairs bar was pretty packed, but upstairs had more spacing which made it comfortable to hang out. I didn't get to try the food since we had already gone to dinner before stopping by, but based on the atmosphere and service I'd definitely come back to try dinner another time.

Stopped by Bar Lola on a rainy day for a pre-show dinner and grabbed a seat at the bar. The place was pretty busy, but the space is really cool w/ great decor and a vibe that feels elevated at first glance. I've been to this venue a few times under different ownership, and while it's impressive in size; personally I feel the size can work against the overall execution of these restaurants. It ends up lacking a sense of guest connection and can feel more like a food hall than a strong/cohesive dining experience. I ordered two drinks, both of which were very good and definitely the highlight. Food, unfortunately, was a different story. I initially tried to order the paccheri pasta and asked to add a protein on the side. The bartender recommended adding shrimp or chicken. The bartender put the order in, but about five minutes later came back to say that adding protein even on the side wasn't allowed. That felt oddly restrictive and a bit confusing because of his original recommendation. I pivoted and ordered the Lola burger, requesting it cooked medium. It came out steaming hot, dry, and very overcooked, which was disappointing for the price point. I'd expect better quality meat/accompaniments to the burger. The fries were also unseasoned and from frozen processed. I feel the food menu feels a bit disconnected and less thoughtfully executed as to the drinks and ambiance. There's potential here, especially with the bar program and design, but the service inconsistencies and kitchen execution make it hard to fully enjoy the experience.

Had a great time catching up with friends at Bar Lola! We actually were sat at a little balcony overseeing the bar so it felt a bit private and cozy. We ordered almost all of the hors d'oeurvres menu - favorites of the table being butterflied prawns, lobster rangoon and the French onion tarte (to the surprise of the table). We were very excited for the Thai Fried Chicken Bites but it ended up being a let down since the chicken was dry. The cocktail menu looks fantastic but we all loved the Le Martin Martini so much that everyone ordered seconds. Can't wait to try more!

My friends and I had an amazing evening at Bar Lola sipping cocktails. Vibes, service, and drinks are all A+. It's a great addition to the Theater District and the perfect spot for pre or post theater. We only came for drinks this time, but I'd absolutely come back to try the food. Highly recommend.

I loved the very classic feel of the indoors. Dim light with outstanding color contrast to give that feel of being in a classic place. Decent music and overall lively crowd. Gets busier the later it gets. Upstairs outdoors deck seating available if you're lucky to grab either table. How we, the deck is the whole length of the restaurant so lots of Spence to mingle outdoors. Also, cute little nooks all over that creates a semi private space. This place is just yummy. Decent happy hour ass well. I liked the small bites I trued so my next visit will be to explore more of the food options. Our server was polite and attentive and overall gave us a great experience. I'll definitely be going again.

I went here when they were having a soft opening. The space is absolutely beautiful! Service was also top notch and I loved both cocktails that I had. The urban grasshopper was particularly refreshing (and I've been on a Grasshopper kick thanks to "Palm Royale"). The food I had that was being passed was all great but I'll come back and sample the menu and update the review. I am a fan of most PMAC group restaurants so I expect I'll be coming here a lot.

On restaurant row which could concern you but run to this place. It's changed quite a bit from the previous establishment and they did a great job updating and renovating. Didn't have any food but it caught my eye for sure. Two levels, bars on each level. Vibe is super and luxurious. We will absolutely return!

Stopped in here for drinks and loved the vibe. The space is gorgeous! Art deco with a Parisian vibe. Reservations are definitely recommended. I went for happy hour and the drinks were solid. Haven't tried the food yet but I'd definitely come back for it. Perfect spot for a few drinks before a Broadway show. Great location, great energy, my server was super nice and helpful in suggesting drinks.

Some kind of passionfruit/lemon shot (can't remember, but it was complimentary!)

We were sat at the bar once and were very well taken care of by our bartender, Nikola. It was a Sunday night, so it wasn't terribly busy. It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.
