Stopped by Bar Lola on a rainy day for a pre-show dinner and grabbed a seat at the bar. The place was pretty busy, but the space is really cool w/ great decor and a vibe that feels elevated at first glance. I've been to this venue a few times under different ownership, and while it's impressive in size; personally I feel the size can work against the overall execution of these restaurants. It ends up lacking a sense of guest connection and can feel more like a food hall than a strong/cohesive dining experience. I ordered two drinks, both of which were very good and definitely the highlight. Food, unfortunately, was a different story. I initially tried to order the paccheri pasta and asked to add a protein on the side. The bartender recommended adding shrimp or chicken. The bartender put the order in, but about five minutes later came back to say that adding protein even on the side wasn't allowed. That felt oddly restrictive and a bit confusing because of his original recommendation. I pivoted and ordered the Lola burger, requesting it cooked medium. It came out steaming hot, dry, and very overcooked, which was disappointing for the price point. I'd expect better quality meat/accompaniments to the burger. The fries were also unseasoned and from frozen processed. I feel the food menu feels a bit disconnected and less thoughtfully executed as to the drinks and ambiance. There's potential here, especially with the bar program and design, but the service inconsistencies and kitchen execution make it hard to fully enjoy the experience.

We stopped by Bar Lola during their grand opening and had a really great experience. I had a drink while I was there and it was very good. The bartender, I believe her name was Serena, was super sweet and made the visit even better by being so personable. This bar is in the location where Bourbon Street Bar & Grille used to be, and you can still see some of the same aesthetic, but with some nice upgrades. They've created a really good vibe so you can easily enjoy both upstairs and downstairs. Similar to how it used to be with the old restaurant, the downstairs bar was pretty packed, but upstairs had more spacing which made it comfortable to hang out. I didn't get to try the food since we had already gone to dinner before stopping by, but based on the atmosphere and service I'd definitely come back to try dinner another time.

Had a great time catching up with friends at Bar Lola! We actually were sat at a little balcony overseeing the bar so it felt a bit private and cozy. We ordered almost all of the hors d'oeurvres menu - favorites of the table being butterflied prawns, lobster rangoon and the French onion tarte (to the surprise of the table). We were very excited for the Thai Fried Chicken Bites but it ended up being a let down since the chicken was dry. The cocktail menu looks fantastic but we all loved the Le Martin Martini so much that everyone ordered seconds. Can't wait to try more!

My friends and I had an amazing evening at Bar Lola sipping cocktails. Vibes, service, and drinks are all A+. It's a great addition to the Theater District and the perfect spot for pre or post theater. We only came for drinks this time, but I'd absolutely come back to try the food. Highly recommend.

I loved the very classic feel of the indoors. Dim light with outstanding color contrast to give that feel of being in a classic place. Decent music and overall lively crowd. Gets busier the later it gets. Upstairs outdoors deck seating available if you're lucky to grab either table. How we, the deck is the whole length of the restaurant so lots of Spence to mingle outdoors. Also, cute little nooks all over that creates a semi private space. This place is just yummy. Decent happy hour ass well. I liked the small bites I trued so my next visit will be to explore more of the food options. Our server was polite and attentive and overall gave us a great experience. I'll definitely be going again.

Bar Lola is a Very cute spot. Lots of tourists. The food was also very good. Service was fine as well.

I went here when they were having a soft opening. The space is absolutely beautiful! Service was also top notch and I loved both cocktails that I had. The urban grasshopper was particularly refreshing (and I've been on a Grasshopper kick thanks to "Palm Royale"). The food I had that was being passed was all great but I'll come back and sample the menu and update the review. I am a fan of most PMAC group restaurants so I expect I'll be coming here a lot.

On restaurant row which could concern you but run to this place. It's changed quite a bit from the previous establishment and they did a great job updating and renovating. Didn't have any food but it caught my eye for sure. Two levels, bars on each level. Vibe is super and luxurious. We will absolutely return!

Stopped in here for drinks and loved the vibe. The space is gorgeous! Art deco with a Parisian vibe. Reservations are definitely recommended. I went for happy hour and the drinks were solid. Haven't tried the food yet but I'd definitely come back for it. Perfect spot for a few drinks before a Broadway show. Great location, great energy, my server was super nice and helpful in suggesting drinks.

Some kind of passionfruit/lemon shot (can't remember, but it was complimentary!)

Used to go here when it was Tito Murphy's and I love the actual space: two floors with a bar on each one, tall ceilings, and plenty of seating. It seems like Bar Lola upped the decor a bit, it looks very nice and chic. Kind of has a resort feeling. We sat at the upper bar and had a great time getting drinks. They're pretty decently priced ($19 for signatures) for well-made cocktails. Haven't had any of the food yet, so will have to update this when we come back. The bartenders were very friendly and have a lot of experience at other cocktail bars around the city. They were busy, but managed to strike up some conversation with us about the place and their experience (my partner also bartends). We will definitely be back.

This is the men's room at Bar Lola which as you can see is clean and well maintained.

I had been here before during the past two incarnations, Tito Murphy's and then the Backstage Tavern. Bar Lola is definitely an improvement. The decor has been revamped to look more like the classic French bar bistro. It is on two levels with a bar downstairs as you walk in and there is also bar seating upstairs. I believe they also share the upstairs space with an adjacent boutique hotel. I was there for an early dinner and looked over the menu. The menu is fairly limited and price wise it is comparable to other restaurants in the area. I got a glass of Malbec and was deciding between the steak fries and the salmon. I felt the steak fries was a little overpriced so I decided on the salmon, which in retrospect was an excellent choice. This was a decent piece of salmon, perfectly carmelized over whild rice, broccolini and a tasty romanescu sauce. My food came out piping hot and was delicious. My server was attentive and accommodating and the place had a nice vibe. I used the restroom at the end of my meal and found it to be clean and well maintained. I would recommend and will return.

New bar/restaurant on Restaurant Row. It's two levels. On the first floor there's a bar and in the back an attractive dining room. On the second level , there's a narrow dining room and in the back a rooftop bar/dining room with a retractable roof. Despite having a reservation and plenty of seating available, we were initially seated at the most cramped table in the restaurant on the second floor next to the stairs. Upon requests, they moved us to the roomier "rooftop" room. The service was good. We got our food and drinks with time to spare to make our show. They offer a limited food menu. Another menu with some cocktails priced Manhattan style at $19. Beware ordering off menu. We ordered a regular negroni instead of the fancy one on the menu. The server offered a choice of gins, but neglected to mention the prices. It was $32 instead of $19. We enjoyed our salmon and chicken entrees. The pear flavored Le Matin Martini was good too. The highlight was the cornbread madelines. I highly recommend them.

If I could eat vibes this would keep me full forever. However vibes don't sustain me the way good food does. If you're in the mood for an appetizer or two with drinks, then this is the place for you. The steak frites was not very good but the salad was very good. I fear the I just should have known that a bar maybe wasn't the best place to get dinner. The service was pretty good and no complaints there!

The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. It somehow manages to feel both refined and relaxed at the same time. The kind of place where you half expect to spot Hemingway in the corner pretending not to eavesdrop. We started with half a dozen oysters, which were fresh, briny, and exactly what you want with serious cocktails. Crisp, clean, gone in about three minutes. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. It felt like a cocktail designed to be savored slowly. The music fit the mood perfectly, not too loud, just enough to give the room energy without killing conversation. Overall, it's a great spot if you want elevated drinks in a space that feels transportive without being pretentious. Definitely a place I'd come back to when I'm in the mood for a refined, slightly cinematic night out in Flatiron.
