Great view from the Effiel Tower. They give patrons an opportunity to go to the viewing deck after the viewing deck is closed. Opted for the 7 course meal. My husband let them know I was expecting so they prepared my food a bit longer to ensure food was cooked throughly. Food and presentation were superb. Service was overall very good until the end--we were the only table around that was not served petit fours. They also offered everyone in our elevator a taxi cab except us. read more

We made reservations for 11/01/23 for the first seating and made sure to be one of the first in line to enter. In doing so we received an amazing window table with stunning views. The service was impeccable. The 7 course meal was the most amazing dining experience. This was not merely food but cuisine on such an elevated level as to be second to none. I haven't read any other reviews so I may be bashed for this one but here goes. Yes, I am an American Tourist in Paris, where tourism must be at the top of industry in the city. I understand that dining near the top of the Eiffel Tower comes with expensive expectations. I'm ready for that. The seven or five course tasting menu is excellent, prepared by Chef Anton. Service as well was Superb. The wine service was where I left off a star. There is no written wine or price list. Selections are indicated verbally. I selected two coup de champagne. And later an average chardonnay for the meal. These three glasses about $30 each, so be prepared if ordering an entire bottle. I was also mistakenly charged for another glass of wine which was removed after discussion. Not a complaint, just an observation. Essentially you are paying for the irreplaceable view and overall experience of dining here. There really is no other place that can beat that. From there, I think comes the exceptional service, well-choreographed and practiced hospitality from the staff, and finally the food. The food is actually very good, I think its moreso whether you are open to this level of food and how you accept it. It's definitely not something you eat everyday, but that's part of the reason of why you're dining here, isn't it? We went for their a la carte lunch service. The top memorable dishes were the ones that weren't included in the menu (the surprise dishes and treats), the unlimited bread and butter (serious top quality that I still think about everyday), and the crab w/ apple cider soup. The ambience and vibe was perfect as well. Most of the diners did make an effort to dress up, there was a mix of some family, couples, friends, and an overall good variety of people there. Dining here was truly one of the most memorable highlights of our trip to Paris and I don't think I will ever forget the feeling I experienced here--that should say enough. read more

A dinner to remember on our last night in Paris. Obviously the location can't be beat. The food was next level. The service is second to none. We had around 10 people serving our section. It was like a coordinated dance without missing a step. Every dish was amazing. Our only small complaint was we wished the Veal was a bit more tender. We love a good filet mignon so we expected similar. But the flavors of everything was so good. Each dish was like a piece of art with surprising flavors. We have never had anything quite like this. Felt like we were on Iron Chef. Hopefully we can experience this again someday. read more

Very good food. Nice ambiance. Needless to say, amazing views. If you're going to drop money on a high-quality meal at some point in Paris, I think, why not do it here at least once? Particularly if you're here in the crowded summer months where getting into the Tour Eiffel is a nightmare. Here you enjoy quick access to a private elevator that takes you to the restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tour, probably the world's highest "second floor" of any building at 377 feet, roughly 38 stories in skyskraper measurements. The menu is pretty narrow so check it out first. We went for lunch and you had either a tasting menu (which we avoided) or an a-la-carte-ish menu where you had two choices of starter / main / dessert. Fortunately, two choices were enough and we had a lovely meal. But picky eaters should beware you're not going to have a lot of options. The service was great. Only negatve is way too few bathrooms (two tiny all-gender ones off a common sink area) so my guest had to go and come back because the line was too long and then go again, and I had to wait at least for 4 people before getting access. Not acceptable at these levesl of price and service. read more

What a fantastic experience! Now this is my first Michelin rated restaurant and we couldn't have picked a better one! Definitely a MUST if you're into the appreciation of all things culinary.... Add the Eiffel Tower setting and then: we'll it is just fantastic he. So why the 4 stars? I am not a food expert but for such a pricey locale, my steak was not medium rare, just medium, and my delicious pathe was delivered too cold, to my taste, as it sat and I ate, it became more maleable and the flavors then were indeed delicious- but I was disappointed at first, so for me, those are kitchen issues that a restaurant of this rating should not have had. Perhaps they are too used to people ordering their sampling menu- which we also ordered... but let me start with that. When you arrive you are taken by their own private elevator to the restaurant. We were not. The elevator broke down (for us) so we were guided to the general elevator, while we were always with one of the Jules Verne's personnel, it did feel rather awkward to me to be placed in front of all the tourists who had been in line waiting to get to the tower... just a strange vibe. From there we were guided to the entrance of the restaurant and to our waiting table. The maitre D' received us and apologized for the inconvenience- and when we finished our meal we got to use the elevator which had been repaired by then! What a different experience! Truly makes going up a much more exclusive affair. On to the restaurant and it's impeccable appearance , as well as giving kudos to the impeccable service. There was an array of waiters just... waiting on you! They performed the service which included descriptions of each plate in perfect unison (when needed) and made a "ballet" of bringing food that was manicured to perfection to the table. The service was impeccable. Of course I made the faux pas of resting both my fork and knife at one time on my plate- was taking a break from all the foi Gras... and they asked if I was done with my plate- my bad! So mind your manners when you go there. The placement of your utensils will signal to them when the next presentation will occur! So we had a choice of the sampling menu, (5 small servings with 2 sets each of entree, main course and then 2 desserts) or the regular menu: with your choice of one entree and one main dish. Both came with amouse-Bouches and appetizers- so we had little samplings coming and going for the 2 hours that our lunch lasted... it was beautifully orchestrated. Meanwhile we sat at a window with the magnificent view of Trocadero and it's fountains, knowing that we were enjoying the best of what culinary experiences and the Eiffel Tower could offer... for a very significant price. Make reservations well in advance. They fill out every seating! Reservations open 3 months in advance so you have time to pre-pay for your extravagant adventure ahead of your actual Paris date! (It doesn't count!) and they also have gift cards to help you manage your event. There were so many components in the 5 course sampler that I cannot in all honesty remember each... but I took pictures of them: they are a feast to behold! Just looking at them, their unusual appearance and sometimes unexpected components, made us not want to bite into them... but we had to taste each one, and so we did! The little scallop was exquisite- the cod was much better texture and flavors than the chicken piece but both presentations were equally interesting- there was like a cold soupy started with caviar that was very good and unusual... definitely a challenge to our taste buds but all all good! And the desserts were fascinating too! I got an apple tarting with this crème that was extra super good, and on the taster menu there were these 2 chocolate creations that were both deliciously chocolatey... yup I am posting the menu and the creations and you can judge for yourselves! We got wine to go with this all, and coffee at the end - which came with 2 little tiny mini sweets. All these little details that helped form the wonderful experience we had at the Jules Verne. This probably the most immersive Michelin experience that I ever ate. I came here with my girlfriend during our Paris trip of last year and it was overall magical experience. The food was amazing during dinner time as you're able to see whole city of Paris when you're dining on the top of the Eiffel Tower. Service was very accommodating too with clean facilities. The food was no less glorious than the setting itself, making it an unforgettable experience. Though my original reservations were for a 5 course tasting menu (€190pp) ended up with 11 courses. The love of food is shared by the staff, with flawless service and attention to detail, with one of the best Maître d' in the business, making suggestions and personalizing the experience. Approximately 3 hours from start to finish: Foie Gras, small soft flan, mantua sauce.. Crab, tomalley, roe and Mousse. Cod, fennel salad with toasted seeds. Salmon, smoked thin strips, sour cream, lemon & dill. Duck, roasted with spices, foei gras & turnip confit Scallop, with lime zest & caviar.. Langoustine, prepared as ravioli, celeriac cream & black truffle. Venison, roasted, macaroni with juice, poivrade sauce. Oxtail, mushrooms with herbs, and oxtail ravioli, Parmesan zephyr. In a word-DISAPPOINTMENT. Let me explain though. I was here first in 2018 where I emailed the restaurant because at the time you could not reserve a table for one person for lunch or dinner online. So I emailed them, explained my situation that I as traveling alone but wanted to dine there. They graciously offered me a reservation for lunch. Fortunately I had someone join me and weeks before our reservation, we were able to amend our reservation for both of us. The experience was AMAZING. Total first class, five star service. Food was delicious, scenery was picturesque (even in January) and staff was so above and beyond. Fast forward to 2024. I wanted to have the experience again, but was traveling solo for sure this time. Still could not make the reservation online so I still had the email from last time so I reach out to the restaurant. Only to be told for the 15 days I was going to be in Paris IN JANAURY that they had no openings for lunch....which is weird because if you had two or more people they still had openings online. I pointed out to them that this still had openings on every date the second week in January in a follow up email and I still got the same exact form response that they were booked. So I could have pre-paid for two people and gotten a reservation, but even though I know they had empty tables this time around, they would not allow me to dine there. Let's be honest-January in Paris isn't exactly bustling, but it was the fact that they could not even respond honestly left a bad taste in my mouth and kind of ruined my memories of my original visit. read more

Best food experience I've ever had. Happy birthday to me! You have the option of choosing the 3-course meal or the 7-course tasting menu and both my boyfriend and I splurged for the 7-course menu. Every course was super interesting and had many levels of flavors. Presentation and freshness are top notch! The views are very breathtaking and you definitely feel like you're on top of the world. We went for lunch because all of the dinner reservations were taken, but we still had an amazing experience. You have a private entrance and a private elevator up. You're able to gain access to the viewing deck after your meal and for a separate fee (booked ahead of time), you could also go to the top (it was closed for renovations when we were there though). Staff was very friendly and professional. If you're American, be sure to ask for the check when you are ready (the French believe in taking your time so they won't automatically get the hint that you're finished if you don't say anything). We got champagne (not included so be careful), and also wine that was more expensive than we would have liked, BUT, you're going there for the experience, so splurge if you must. The 7-course meal was worth it in my opinion and was filling enough. At night, we grabbed savory crepes to save some money instead of going out again and it was perfect (we tried many different place and the chicken and cheese crepe right next to the merry-go-round is the best)! There was a confusion with our reservation (on our part); however, without hesitation, the staff made accommodations and ensure that we were taken care of. We were able to eat at Le Jules Verne while in Paris and the view alone is worth the 5 stars. We reserved this restaurant last minute, so we didn't have the most ideal table to begin with, but as the night went on, we were moved to a table with an even better view of the night time of Paris. The service here is impeccable. Each person we encountered that evening, from the person who took us up to the restaurant in the elevator to those who served us our food, were very professional. Between our whole family, we had either 5 or 7 courses that evening. My son and I ordered the 5 courses and my husband and daughter got the 7 courses. Each dish was different and each of us liked different things that we had. None of the dishes were bad, but, for instance, I don't like certain textures, so I personally didn't like the venison. The best part of this dinner was the fact that we could go out a special door to look outside on the Eiffel tower and not have to worry about the crowds. It was amazing! At the end of our meal, we each got a piece of chocolate with a quote from Jules Verne, the writer who this restaurant is named after. I highly recommend you try this place at least once, especially if you are making a once in a lifetime trip to France. We dined at the Jules Verne in September 2004 for my 50th birthday with friends, all of us coming from California. The evening was exceptional, so much that I chose to do it again in 2014 for my 60th... not so well. My 70th is coming up and we won't be returning. We were left standing at street level well past our reservation time and we were only taken after what seemed like a private party was taken and their evening well underway. The menu was no longer a selection as before but a set menu with your choice of 5 or 6 courses. We felt we were treated as an afterthought. Not the special evening we had planned for. The thing about bucket list items is how high expectations can easily lead to a denouement that brings you back to reality. Such was the YOLO experience we had at Jules Vern, the breathtakingly beautiful restaurant cradled in the second floor of the world famous Eiffel Tower. My girlfriend's dream was to celebrate her milestone birthday here in the city of lights-and food. We visited the Tower a week before her birthday and climbed the 327 steps to the first floor where the other Tower restaurant, Madame Brasserie, resides. With a decidedly lesser view and pedigree (no Michelin Star) we cancelled our advanced pre-paid booking and walked into Jules Vern to try and orchestrate a switch. Not so easy. We were told people book three months in advance and rarely cancel. Undeterred, we returned on her birthday eve to roll the dice for any no-shows or cancellations. We waited for two hours to no avail. My girlfriend, when given a "no", has the persistence of a mosquito out for blood. Armed with impeccable phone skills, and now on a first name basis with the host and manager, she wore them with pleas of her lifelong dream and continuing health issues which could make this the only chance - not altogether false but dramatized for effect. We received a call mid-week letting us know a table became available for Sunday night. Persistence pays...then we paid. You must pre pay 510€ for two, not including drinks and no guarantee of a window seat. Now that I've set the table, so to speak, I'll start by saying from 1-10, I give Jules Vern a 10 for ambience, service and, of course, view. If the view of the city lights doesn't get you drunk the 213€ Pino Noir (online for $45) will. We opted for the seven course prefixed tasting menu which gives you choices of four appetizers, two main courses and desert. There were more waiters than customers. We had three dancing around our every need. It's called a tasting menu because of the teeny tiny portions- very French. All seven courses could fit inside a Burrito Supreme. Everything was good but I wanted to be blown away but was not. Notable mention goes to the crab with citrus and tarragon puree, the Langoustine ravioli with beetroot jelly and parmesan cream, and the risotto with shaved black truffle. The baby artichoke with caviar, the tomato puree with tomato tart, both lacked flavor and complexity. As for the mains or Plates, we enjoyed the risotto, the poached Turbot was delicate but the seaweed sauce was slightly bitter. The poached chicken breast with baby asparagus had a ying and yang of two sauces; a celery cream and black truffle which was too salty. Desert consisted of an apricot cream meringue tart and then, heavenly chocolate mousse with a side plate of ice cream rolled like a cigar in chocolate laying on a chocolate wafer. Delicious and accompanied by our 12€ cappuccinos. All said it was a great experience with an incomparable view and ambience. That is why you come here. There are better and less expensive Michelin restaurants in Paris, and we will go there solely for the gastronomic experience and recall how Jules Vern, seared the city lights into our brains. read more

This Michelin Star restaurant is located on the second level (420 feet up) on the Eiffel Tower. The day we went was pre-fixe menu 5 or 7 course between 190-230 euros per person as champagne they recommend was 35 euros. The portions and presentations are elegant and small but with the 7 course meal we were stuffed. The desserts were to die for and many of the dishes were seafood. The ambience is obviously nice given your in the Eiffel Tower. The entrance is on the southern side of the tower and there is a sign and a staff member for anyone who eating at the restaurant. The staff member walks you to the entrance of the restaurant and you take a private elevator up. Every seat is good and with views so don't worry about that. After dinner you take a set of stairs one flight to the second level deck to take photos and look out on the southern view. You then walk back up to take the private elevator back down. Definitely worth coming to this experience. Food is excellent and views can't be beat. read more
