I have been going to this nail salon for 10 years and I don't plan on stopping. Stephanie is not just my nail lady but also a friend. She does an excellent job that no one else can. But please make an appointment, she gets book so fast. If she's not available, my alternate go to is Diane. She's very soft spoken and does a great job as well. My sister Jennifer P. is HARSH with her review! 2 stars? HAHA well nonetheless she is right. Although they did temporarily close the shop for my bridal party, there were some things that didn't work out too well. 1) one woman filed my nails into PERFECTLY shaped squares! It was insane! Not even rounded at all! I was in PAIN and they looked HORRID! 2) another woman cut my friends cuticle really bad and asked if she could put alcohol on it right away but wouldn't, not until she was complaining out of pain and demanded her to do it. 3) They messed up on my sister Jennifer (just read the review down below) HEY well the outcome was STILL decent. Went to this salon and the technicians were under the impression that i did not know their language but they were totally wrong. Just sat down and they already started talking ahit about my nails without knowing the last time i got it done was 3 weeks ago. As i was getting my nails done i was on my phone and heard one of the nail technicians say something about me. My technician asked me if i wanted a color and i said no just the cover pink with clear top coat since that what i had before i came in In vietnamese she said i was cheap for not wanting a color. While she was doing my refil i asked her can you do it thin, at first she was doing it nice and then it got really thick, the acrylic was applied uneven in the nail, instead of being flat or had a bump. She was filing my acrylic with the machine and totally file my skin, as she was trying to shape my nails she did horrible. My nails are suppose to be square but in some of my nail one corner is rounded and they other is squared, look so crooked. As she was finishing up she decide to cut my cutilcles and the excess acrylic off and cut off my skin on my thumb causing me to bleed. I immediately went to wash it off. Then without waiting for my thumb to stip bleeding she immediately applied top coat which made my thumb burn even more, i pulled my hand back and applied pressure to my cut. In voetnamese she said "why does this girl keep touching it its gonna bleed more." I couldnt take it and said in vietnamese that they are so unprofessional for talking shit about there customers while there customer is sitting in front of them. Anothwr clients asked why i was upset to the boss lady and she said it cause she doesnt like her nails. I explained to the client that not only did the nail technician cut me but were all talking shit about me since i stwpped into the dorr. If it wasnt because my nail tech was out od the country i wouldve never came to this place. But i am sure ill never come again. read more

I discovered Le Lan Salon soon after it opened about 7 years ago or so. They no longer offer any hair services. There are a lot of things I love about coming here.... mostly, it's the staff. Even though English is clearly not their first language....they make you part of their conversations, and share small pleasanties with their customers. They recently replaced their massage spa chairs with brand new ones, and they're GREAT! I return every six weeks for a pedicure...and never have a reservation...so I've seen most everyone there. Yes, six weeks! And the polish is still not chipped! They're all EXCELLENT. I'd say my favorite is Diane or Lani (the owner). But really...they're ALL wonderful! Recently a young man did my pedi there and he was suprisingly gentle and skilled! They are very gentle, and have often fixed an ingrown for me - no extra charge. Diane does the waxiing and she's great at it! Great prices, wonderful staff, fabulous services! What more could you ask for! read more

The place is small-ish. The pedi chairs are directly in front of huge windows that overlook all the traffic on Newark Blvd., and the interior of the building isn't the world's best maintained -- not exactly what I'd call a relaxing/pampering atmosphere. I went for a mani/pedi. The manicure turned out OK, but the girl that did my pedicure nicked me multiple times! I couldn't believe how careless she was being--and all without a single 'sorry.' After seeing several women in Los Angles expressing displeasure anytime a man came into "Their nail Salon" on T.V. I was reluctant to go to a Salon. I did not want to anger or upset any woman. I have extreme arthritis and I can no longer bend over to cut my toenails. My toenails where very long and where starting to hurt my feet so one day I walked in to the Le Lan Salon and a young Lady name Diane gave me my very first pedicure. Diane was very nice, polite and saw to it that I was comfortable. After giving me my pedicure Diane massaged my feet and they felt so wonderful afterwards. Yes as a few have stated sometime the ladies working there speak Vietnamese to one another which is perfectly o.k. with me; I just continue to relax while Diane works on my feet. People are always speaking in other languages; this happens a lot everywhere. Till this day at the Silliman Center in Newark Ca. people are talking to one another in Portuguese, Italian, German, French, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Spanish and of course English that I over hear when I am in the hot tub and that does not bother me, it's normal. I am retired now so I always make my appointments when business is very light with Diane since Diane always does a great job and gives me excellent service. Would recommend this place. read more

I have gone here since they opened and out of all nail place they are by far the best! Of course I have my favorites but all of them are amazing and talented! I recommend Le LAN to everyone... All of the women in my family now go and have been for years. I would wait a day or two to get in before ever considering going to another salon. With out a doubt they are #1! read more
