We had a wonderful brunch and fantastic server named Ed today at Le Moo. It was the best eggs benedict I've ever had! I ordered the traditional "Iconic" benedict. We gathered to honor and celebrated the life of a dear loved one, Josh who passed 2 years ago. Ed noticed the photo of him at our table. Our server Ed took note of that and gave some extra special attention and even brought us a large slice of cake to share that read "Happy Anniversary". We were all touched. My friend and I had tickets to a play in Louisville. We saw LeMoo had a great looking menu and great reviews. We wanted brunch and brunch cocktails. We weren't disappointed! The interior is beautiful with dark wood and comfortable upholstery. Outdoor seating is available during warmer weather.The menu is extensive but on our server's recommendation we went with waffles. I got the traditional and my friend had the blueberry. Light, fluffy and delicious! I got a side of candied bacon to go with my waffle. It was salty sweet perfection. The blueberry waffle came with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream which my friend opted to have on the side instead of on top of her waffle. Another excellent piece of advice from our server ( he said it helped the waffle stay hot longer ). For our cocktails my friend chose the Caroline Mae ( raspberry lovers ) and I chose the Olive Joyce ( elderflower fans ). Both were excellent! We each also partook of espresso martinis. I met a couple of friends for dinner. We had reservations. The restaurant is clean and has a nice ambiance. Immediately you can tell it's not a run of the mill sit down restaurant. Little touches and decorating choices lend an air to the place that it's a bit higher end. My friend loved her grapefruit spicy margarita. Our orders were taken promptly. Server was fabulous for the most part. Very friendly, not at all pushy, explaining everything in a knowledgeable way. Between the three of us, we had a couple of salads, some seafood chowder, and I had a steak that came with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Everyone said the food was great and I ate part of my friends salad and it was really delicious. My steak was fantastic and I finished every bite. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly, along with the sides. My favorite part was when the server came along with a tray of knives and explained to me that I had a choice of what type of tool I wanted to use to cut my meat. I admit I had no idea that there were different styles of steak knives and she explained the difference between a French steak knife and the usual kind that is used here in the states. That was a nice touch and a fun experience to have the opportunity to learn something. One of my friends spilled her glass of water and someone, I believe it was a manager, showed up seemingly out of nowhere and cleaned it up quickly and was very gracious about it. Overall, it was a very nice meal and a nice dining experience. It is certainly pricey for my budget, but I would say it is warranted by the high-level of quality of food and service. The only complaint that I have is that once we got our checks, we had somewhere that we needed to be, and it seemed to take a really long time for this server to come back and process our payment. Other than that, it was a great experience. Also, when my friend wanted to take the remainder of her salad to go, they boxed it up for us and gave us a little claim check to pick it up at the hostess stand. I thought that was very nice because I always find it awkward to scrape my plate into a box at the table. I will return to le moo sometime when I'm looking for a nicer restaurant to celebrate something special. read more

My husband and I went to Le Moo for our anniversary and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Caleb and Keith were our servers and were attentive, kind, and funny. Not only that but the entire staff were thoughtful and friendly. They offered us a glass of champagne when we arrived and a hand written "happy anniversary " card was waiting at our table. Food-wise, it was stellar. We got a tomahawk steak, Caesar salad and a pecan cheesecake dessert and everything was absolutely delicious! We went here for our anniversary and it was AMAZING! Amber was our server and she was kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. Omg I have to say the lamb ribs were to die for!!! That was my fav thing about the restaurant. Its an appetizer but I had it as my meal with a salad. The place is cute. The booths are nice with curtains you can close off on the sides. If it's your birthday they give you a cow print and blue balloon. Also if you have a large party they will cover the bday persons meal in their age (40=$40 off). There were cobb webs on the lighting/ chandeliers. Have you ever been to a restaurant where every dish exceeds your expectations? This is one of those place. We arrived and had a 5 minute wait, and we were offered a glass of champagne. You know this is a different kind of restaurant. The server was just amazing. He knew the menu and wine extremely well, even gave us tips on local dinning. Anyway, on to the food. We started with the mussels. OMG, the sauce is like crack, we kept on drinking it with the spoon. What did they do?! Then it came the wedge salad. The lettuce was so fresh, came with a mysterious warm dressing. I don't eat salad but I cannot stop eating this! For the main course we had a steak flight, prime, choice, and Wagyu. I did not know steak flight is a thing, but I am glad. Each cut is softer than the other, until the wagyu it just melts like butter in your mouth. The truffle butter just took the flavoring to another level. And the sides. The mash potatoes was charred on the griddle to give it an amazing crust. The collard greens! My wife does not lien collard greens and she loved these. Finally the cheese cake with Bourbon dressing. My wife is an expert on this and she devoured it. Le Moo Drag show was a Huge Rip off! I was robbed! Horrible show! There was no show, complete void of any talent. A bunch of men dressed up like hideous women and none of them sang or did an act. They paraded around doing nothing taking dollar bills from the audience. We kept hoping for a show, but nothing. We were robbed. The food is way better at Golden Corral! Inferior buffet with lima beans, corn, potato and pasta salad. Baked chicken thighs, bacon and breakfast sausage. Horrible food. For over $50 per person, this was a joke. Stay Away!!! Went for my anniversary. Had to send steak back twice, but I wasn't mad as it was still delicious and juicy! They took very good care of us and even treated us to a dessert! 2nd visit to Le Moo. We are not traditional beef eaters; however, Ryan still provided excellent service. The salmon was well seasoned and not overcooked, and the chicken dish, paired with some excellent veggies, was tastefully prepared. We had a business dinner at Le Moo on a Wednesday night, and had a great experience! The food and drinks were delicious, the service was very good, and the ambiance was quite pleasant. Our group of 7 started out at the bar, and experienced great service there. I had their award-winning Louisville cocktail, and loved it! (It was delicious and strong!) One of the members of our party is a beer aficionado and approved of their beer selections. We enjoyed the queso appetizer, and my Prime 8 oz filet was excellent. Most of the folks in our group got the steak, and the one person who got the salmon said it was excellent. We shared the chocolate cake, bread pudding, and creme brulee desserts and everything was tasty. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, animated, and passionate about the restaurant - he was a character and we appreciated him. The food came out promptly and we felt well taken care of. Ambience was nice, the table was a bit tight, not much room, but we made do. The food ... meh. Had the two-crab corn chowder. Definitely seafood flavor, hardly any crab at all. Mostly potatoes and corn. Garnished with an entire cooked bacon strip. Awkward and unwieldy. First time I ever needed a knife to unyielding. The steak with bear naive, asparagus and king crab ... The steak was great medium rare. The asparagus were cold. The king crab an afterthought. The premium baked potato, the cheese was over cooked, the texture mealy and overcooked. The best things of the night were the cocktail and wine. $$$$ way overpriced for mediocre food. Been there before for mid-day brunch and was very pleased.
