My boyfriend and I went in for dinner last night to celebrate the start of the fall semester. Per usual, Lemoo provided us with 5-star service, wonderful ambiance, and incredible hospitality that keeps me coming back. Nevertheless, as expected since the menu changed. The new dishes were astoundingly delicious and crafted with the delicacy that can only be found at LeMoo's restaurant. I was very pleased with the final outcome of what I've had ordered that I feel I was able to have a better time with my boyfriend due to the incredible experience we had and how comfortable I felt attending such an intimate setting. I only bring special people here. So, Thanks LeMoo for the opportunity to share such a wonderful experience with a wonderful person. As expected, we tried the steak and the salmon. Which did not disappoint as the sprouts were truffled. At the end, it was completed with dessert which was a cram' boule that literally took my breath away. Thank you, LeMoo. Our brunch group met here for a Friday 11 AM catchup. Great service, mild noise level, and delicious food. Value and quality are top notch. Plentiful free parking and convenient location near corner of Lexington and Grinstead at the I-64 exit. I tried the eggs Benedict menu item, "the Iconic" today and it was well prepared and very appealing. I chose the side item of a potato breakfast casserole instead of greens and an opportunity to try something new! This was fine, but just a lot of richness for me with cheese. I also had a virgin Bloody Mary, and it was fantastic with taste and presentation. Looking forward to return visits. read more

Celebrated our 46th first date anniversary this evening along with our daughter and son in law. It was an excellent, special dining experience. We were given champagne at the entrance by the hostess for a toast, nice touch. We were escorted through the resturant and showed the restrooms as well as the display of steak choices. Another nice touch. We were seated and served water and asked about drink orders. We all stuck with water. The server, Amber was very helpful with explanations of the specials as well as individual steak options. We opted for the Tenderloin flight, a 4oz filet, a 4 oz prime and 5 oz wagya. Most of us enjoyed the filet best, then the prime and the wagya the least. Keep in mind the wagya was excellent but the other two cuts were enjoyed more. With the exception of my son in law, wagya was his favorite. All were tender and juicy and cooked to perfection, medium rare. We ordered a large wedge salad to share, romaine lettce, blue cheese, pecans, bacon, served with a hot bacon dressing. Not sure why it's called a wedge salad but it was very tasty, dressing made the salad. We ordered mashed potato pattis, that were good, suburb grit cakes that were like nothing I've ever had and everyones favorite side, the limas, in a cream sauce with country ham crisp, again not like anything I've ever had and again excellent and lastly the green that were seasoned to perfection and very tender. We were given a complimentary anniversary dessert, a crisp pecan shell with a white chocolate mousse, and a a berry compote. It was my husbands favorite. We ordered two additional desserts. The chocolate bread pudding with ice cream. My daughters favorite. And lastly the Rumchatta butter cake, a rich butter cake that was so moist but also crunchy on the edges. Mine and my son in law's favorite. Service was exceptional, never an empty water glass, plates cleared as soon as we finished a dish and all servers were super sweet, polite and accomodating. Large parking lot, so no problem parking. I would suggest walking around to see if there is one area more than another where you would prefer to sit. I did that at the end and would have rather been in one of the back rooms instead of the bar area, just a thought. Highly recommend. read more

My family stopped in here to have lunch for the first time and everything was phenomenal. Preston and Bradley took care of us and went above and beyond. We tried the French press coffee as well as an espresso martini and a citrusy cocktail. All were amazing. For food we tried two types of Benedict, the salmon and steak. We also got chicken & waffles, and steak & eggs. This place truly leaves no room for error. Everything was delicious but the waffle was a table favorite. The place itself is gorgeous but every single person there, even the ones who weren't directly serving us, were incredibly nice and helpful. We will definitely be back!! read more

Le Moo Drag brunch is such a fun time!! The breakfast "buffet" was delicious! The buffet wasn't self serve and it was only one trip through but there was a good amount of food choices. I do wish the food choices were available prior to the brunch. The entertainment was amazing! The brunch I went to was Taylor Swift themed. It was great to see the drag queens perform. The music is quite loud so I do recommend bringing ear plugs just in case. The staff was super friendly and attentive during the entire show. read more

My husband and I have been wanting to try this place for months because of the hype people have given it. But unfortunately, we went last weekend and we were extremely disappointed. It all started when we walked in. We were thinking it would be a nicer restaurant, but it gave us a higher class Texas Roadhouse... it wasn't what we were expecting at all. Atmosphere aside, we were more disappointed in the food. We got a side ceasar salad, mushrooms, mashed potato cakes, baked potato and the New York strip. You would think "how can you mess up a salad".... It was the worst Caesar salad I have ever had. I am pretty sure they had the lettuce in the back in a tub of water to "keep it fresh" and then threw it on a plate. There was water pooling off the lettuce and plate... the parm was literally soggy.. and the lettuce was limp because it was so full of water. The mushrooms and baked potato came out lukewarm if that. The potato cakes were literally mashed potatoes fried on a stove top. No flavor at all. The only decent thing I will say was that the steak, but I could make a steak like that at my own home. I would understand the "hype" if the prices were half of what they are, but it was 1000000% not worth their prices. Our server, K, was wonderful though. I love the decorations inside Le Moo, always seems very sophisticated and fancy. The lunch menu is great with options ranging from appetizers, salads, soup, wraps, burgers, etc. We started with the bread basket - it's crazy you pay $10 for bread and butter but it was really good and the portion size was large. For our mains I ordered the Caesar salad and French onion soup, the salad was okay but the anchovy was overpowering. The portion size was very small for a $11 salad, but it did include an egg and slice of bacon. The soup portion was large and was full of crostini and a thick cheese crust ($12). It's definitely something you could share. My friend ordered the chicken Caesar wrap which she loved. It came with fries for $18. read more

I had a great dining experience on my last visit to Le Moo. Scott took exceptional care of us by making us feel at home from the moment we entered and checking to make sure everything was perfect throughout the evening. Our server, Cat, recommended we start our night with their custom "choose your own old fashioned" experience and walked us through each component choice. I chose Blade and Bow bourbon and got it smoked tableside. Everyone had fun building their own, it was a great way to start the night! My snake river farm fillet was cooked to perfection, and the apps were on point. The steak tartare was unreal. Both paired perfectly with the Phelps Cab that Cat recommended. The service was decent but we got there around 15 minutes before our reservation time and sat at the bar for a drink. Our table ended up being ready 10-15 minutes after our reservation time. The food was decent but nothing remarkable. Mashed potato cakes were just odd as well. Didn't try any desserts but there were a few options that did sound good. This is a fantastic place. I've been here a few times and I've never been disappointed in my experience. The staff are always incredible helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. They know the ingredients and were able to help my gluten free/dairy free friend find something easily. We were checked on often and service was top notch. The food is great too. I've had a few things over my time here, but most recent at my friend's birthday I had a delicious cocktail (forgot the name but it was similar to a paper plane) and Mom's Steak and Eggs which was soo tasty and the meat was cooked perfectly at medium and very flavorful (both pictured). Also when it's your birthday they leave little surprises for you, which adds a special touch. It's decorated very cool and it is spacious. It can be a bit on the pricier side, so maybe a place for a special occasion, but it's very quality and worth the price. read more

I was in town for a surprise birthday party for my dad and decided to catch up with an old friend. He brought me here and shared he loved the place. We came for brunch. Let me just say, this place is very beautiful on the inside. I loved the aesthetic. We came for brunch and it wasn't too crowded. I ended dup ordering the Bayou Mets Grinstead (Shrimp and Grits). Overall I loved the concept but it was super salty. I actually didn't even finish the meal. Also, I was slightly annoyed that a server (not our server) kept coming over and suggesting how I should eat the food (mixing it altogether). He came by and mentioned it (which was fine), but then he came by 2 more times and honestly he was interrupting our conversation to confirm he was right about the best way to eat shrimp and grits. Another amazing dining experience. We've been here for dinner, brunch, and a drag brunch. I made a reservation for a party of 12 for my husband's 40th birthday. We were greeted with champagne by a lovely hostess and then seated in a semi private room. Complete with balloons, hubs was also gifted some cracker jacks (the owners fave) and a card. Our waiter, Walter was the absolute best! The birthday boy devoured the tenderloin flight and I ordered one of the specials...lamb and a chickpea salad med mix. My husband and I were recently in Louisville for a week. This restaurant was close to where we were staying, and we decided to try it. One menu option is a flight of steaks...you get a choice, a prime, and a wagyu filet...two of them are 4 oz each and one is 6 oz. It was just enough for the two of us to share for lunch. I had a Caesar salad and the dressing was just right. My husband had collard greens and said they were very tasty and not "sharp" tasting like they can be sometimes. All three steaks were very tender and tasty. We sat at the bar as we usually do when dining, and the bartender was very welcoming and attentive. I wish I had gotten her name so I could give her a shout out for her help. They have some fun cow pictures on the walls. Nice atmosphere and inviting interior. We had a work dinner at Le Moo this week and it did not disappoint! They had a new "Build Your Own Old Fashioned" menu that was super neat. Our apps were outstanding & I'm so glad they still offer the KT's Queso! Highly recommend the beef tartare. The steaks for the table all came out great & the correct temperature. We recently visited Le Moo it was the first time after a long break. When we arrived I alerted the hostess that we had a reservation They offered us a toast of champagne while we waited to be seated. When the table was ready I was surprised to find that even with a reservation we found ourselves sitting in the bar area at a small two top. The waitress came over and asked if we'd like some Louisville tap as if thats somehow a premium offering lol. I guess compared to some places it is. We accepted and ordered. I got the steak Diane and wife got the pork chop which our waitress informed us was top grade pork and it was recommended to have it prepared medium -medium well. I was okay with the risk of Trichinosis just so the chop wasn't dry! The food came out after a short wait, we did the supervised please check temperatures of the meat cuts. I hate it when I'm looking at a steak I know is over cooked (not much, but not perfect) and we all know it. Then it's a matter of waiting another ten minutes while my partner eats to get it right ... so I nodded it was fine... and it was tasty. The "sides" mashed potatoes, asparagus, mushrooms very nice but a bit sparse.. I guess from a cost vs quantity perspective. Steak was to me a bit overcooked the red center the waitress described as medium wasn't exactly the case. The chop was exactly as she suggested medium well-ish definitely pink in the center. Near the end a nice lady who I perceived could be in charge or possibly the owner came over and checked on us. That was cool. Server offered dessert we declined ticket wrapped up promptly. All and all the meal was solid and it's certainly a must try if you've never visited before. I'll try Le Moo again sometime down the road. read more

Took our family (4 adults and 2 children under 9) to dinner here for Fathers Day. Overall a super mediocre dining experience for $650 incl tip...and only 1 bar beverage per person was consumed so this bill was largely food. PROS: they did have kids menu which was helpful; the Blue Ribbon choc cake was delicious; the server was very friendly and attentive. CONS: very fishy tasting mussels; really sub-par "wedge" salad that only had bacon in the dressing, had plain whole pecans scattered on top (should be candied, or at least toasted and crumbled) and was long leaves of romaine (not a wedge of iceberg) making it really hard to cut and eat; sinewy meat cuts with some inedible sections of filet; they charged $15 for bread service and while the bread is served warmed they taste like packaged/store bought...not made in-house; the gigante lima beans were way under-cooked/borderline crunchy and they were sitting in a mac-and-cheese like base sauce which felt like a well-intentioned but confusing dish. I offer this review not to trash Le Moo or discourage customers from visiting, but moreso to hopefully share specific points on the menu where Le Moo simply does not deliver on its pricing and might seek to improve in the future. read more
