Hubby was craving pho so we decided to check Le Paradis out. We came for dinner w/ our 2 young daughters and ordered 3 items to go. The staff was very friendly. They even gave our daughters cookies from their bakery while we waited. We had our dinner and everything was delicious! The portions were just right. Five stars for friendly service and great food! This Pho is awesome! I love that they have vegetarian options too as not all Pho restaurants have that. Their shrimp spring rolls are also delicious and a single order comes with two extra long rolls. I also love the French/Vietnamese fusion. We haven't eaten in yet but done pick-up several times and they haven't disappointed yet. They make the pick-up packaging easy to maneuver and as always extremely friendly and courteous. The ambiance is cute and while their parking area is small at least they have lots of parking. Very helpful when picking up late at night. The price is right too! read more

This place is so yummy!!!!! Swooped in randomly today to grab food for my dad and I to go. The staff was nice and efficient. I ordered the chicken green papaya salad and the lemongrass chicken. I was nervous about the salad because I did not know what to think about the papaya...but it was so good! I just wish the chicken wasn't as dry as it was. The lemongrass chicken over vermicelli noodles was bomb. A little spicy. So if you don't like spicy ask them to make it less spicy. I liked it just the way it was! Will definitely be back! read more

The food was tasty. I ordered the curry shrimp, and my boyfriend ordered the curry chicken. We also got shrimp spring rolls, those were the best. Thai iced teas were decent but nothing special. The service was not that great. The lady kept talking about the weather being so hot. Very slow service and we were the only ones in the restaurant. I usually don't review a place until going there at least twice First time, called ahead, the order took much longer than it should have. The restaurant was not busy when I arrived for pick up. Not a biggie, but while waiting, they messed up on someone's order - that person had to come back and wait for the correct order to be made. The second time, I was overcharged AND they messed up on my order. I asked the guy there if he relayed the correct order to the kitchen, and he confirmed that he did. I even repeated the item number to him. After patiently waiting, I was in a hurry to get home after a long day at work, so didn't check the order after it was bagged and tied up by the guy. When I got home, lo and behold, TWO out of the 3 items ordered was wrong AND I was overcharged for they did they give me. I love Viet food, and the food is here about average. Average food with below average service doesn't cut it when there are other Vietnamese options available. read more

A disappointmet with regard to the so-called fresh pastries in the jugs. Taste like they'd been there for weeks. Blueberry tart behind counter was ok, but I would have liked to see a menu for a place that claims to specialize in French-style pastries. Vietnamese crepe was good sized and tasty. Green papaya and shrimp was decent, full of shrimp, and substantial enough to make me want to try this place one more time. Service took longer than expected. Hot tea was served tepid. One more try in the morning, and we're hoping for improvement in our review. Funky decor was warm and no problem, as they have a nice big space and it was clean. read more

This was my back up local pho place until recently. Got tired of getting nothing but fat on my brisket and not enough condiments and stuff for my pho at my other spot. The pho here is very good. Has a very pleasant odor, kind of cinnamony, and no floating fat in the broth. I usually get the sliced rare steak pho, and the beef is very lean and fresh. The owner is very kind, and on occasion offers a free delicious pasty with my dinner. This place did not disappoint. The spring rolls with the peanut butter sauce is also very delicious. read more

A fantastic experience! You really don't know what you're missing until you find a place where they are proud, skilled and knowledgeable about food. Le Paradis is a gem, a bright, clean dining area, helpful and attentive service and Alice...how can you not compliment her! She has a clear vision for her food, refined, tasty, and carefully prepared to order. She's also a sweetheart, really a lovely person. I had the 25 (veg noodle soup), the broth was pure (no grease or fat) the veggies were really bright and cooked to a perfect al dente. My friend had the 12 (thinly sliced beef soup), it was his first time eating pho and he loved it too, finished every last drop in his bowl. I'm not a real foodie, but I enjoy eating a variety of foods, but I've never had french pastry. Much to my surprise and pleasure, Alice put a piece of cake in front of us. HOLY ****! It may have been the best cake that I've ever eaten. Several layers of white cake, stuffed in between and on top, a whipped cream that was lighter than air. To top it off was the most fragrant mango syrup (sauce?). I carefully cut a little piece for my fork and took a sniff, I didn't want to miss a moment of this. Popped it my mouth, it was light, not too sweet. There were subtle texture differences from the skin of the cake to the body, to the frosting. The aftertaste was an almost floral mango smell that lingered for just a moment in your sinuses. The key is: Eating that cake made me happy! It was similar to hearing your favorite song. Do yourself a favor and at least try Le Paradis. You won't be sorry. read more

I've been a frequent Patron of this restaurant for the past 3 years. Alice is the owner and provides best service u could ask for, the environment is ideal for a nice relaxed lunch. Love the instrumental music they play. As for the food, I don't think I have experienced a place where I've loved so many dishes. Very reasonably priced and delicious Vietnamese food with great service and comfortable ambience. The owner greeted and sat us after recognizing my voice from when I called ahead to see if there was a wait. She was very friendly but not intrusive, and made great menu recommendations without being pushy. Between the four of us we had a complete feast (4 huge entrees and 2 appetizers) and spent maybe $15/person all in. Will be making a point to come back, despite living 30 minutes away. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Hayward, the staff is extremely family oriented and treat the customers like family as we'll, the food is delicious here and they're willing to listen to requests and make what you orderes exactly the way you want it. Today's lunch was my first visit to this restaurant. I was surprised that this restaurant has been around longer than I thought, even though I have been working in an office nearby for many years. The food was great (5 stars); so was the service and the settings (both 5 stars). The Vietnamese ice coffee could be improved. Now that I've been back to this restaurant many more times, the Vietnamese Ice Coffee is perfect every time. This place is a definite 5 STARS. Hurrah! read more

We happened to be around the town while we're doing road trip and we decided to stop by for Asian food. The pho and spring roll simply tasted good. This place is by far the worst Vietnamese restaurant. We when there after the lunch crowd a little after 1 pm. We ordered the beef stew pho and grilled pork chops with rice. This took over 30 mins. Really? And when I see other patrons that arrive 7 mins later and order after us but get their meal before us, of course I inquire. The waiter looks me square in the eyes and tell me because all the orders came at the same time. Really? Also the food is not good. The beef stew came out thick looking like something you get from a progresso soup can but with rice noodles. I've had this before at different places and thy never looked or tasted like this. Wanted some pho as I wasn't feeling too good and what better than hot soup when you are under the weather??? Not going to lie the place can be a lil deceiving as it looks kind of run down and tons of plants outside to get in. Gives you a weird vibe but they do have some pretty decent food options and service was great. The food however was just ok. I ordered a chicken pho with pork wonton and egg noodle and it was just ok. Nothing spectacular about it. I have tried pho at different places and this one wasn't any different. The service was awesome. They are very attentive and it seems like a family owned business. They have a bakery inside too and I saw them baking and bringing out some freshly baked goods. One thing I really did not like mainly because I am horrified by them is that there was flies inside due to the door being left open. I cant do flies they freak me the heck out and disgust me quite frankly and there were a few of them in there flying around. There's nothing like a big ol' fly going around your table to make you feel really uncomfortable. Wish they would keep their doors closed and prevent this issue but oh well. read more
