All the old friend are here !

Move over panda express forget about trying to get scoops of pre made Chinese food of a steam table. This Chinese restaurant is a small hole in the wall in a strip mall near the CSU Cal State eastbay campus. I've been trying to gate. Keep this place from many of my friends in school just so that the place does not get bombarded unfortunately I took a few of my friends here for lunch one day and the word is out. This small yet mighty mom and Pop shop has a fantastic menu with an extremely reasonable price. All their food is made Fresh to order, and you could definitely taste the breath of the wok ( wok hay) and all dishes. One of my favorite things they make there is their fried rice with Mongolian tofu. Definitely extremely reasonable price for delicious Fresh cook food. This place has a lot of business for takeout and dine in overall definitely would recommend if you're in a mood for American style Chinese food. This is my hole in the wall Chinese place and is a hidden gem . Come try the sweet sour pork as well is delicious

Not sure what was up with their phones, but in our most recent experience here, we were trying to phone in an order for delivery, but the line was either busy, or wouldn't connect. We tried many times bc we were desperate for some wonton soup. Eventually they picked up, but said they didn't have a driver for delivery, so we had to pick it up ourselves. We ordered wor wonton soup, fish w/ black bean sauce, and walnut prawns. Sadly we weren't impressed with any of the dishes. The soup was just ok. The fish was mushy in contrast with the large crunchy vegetables. The walnut prawn batter was heavily breaded and soggy.

This is our regular local chinese food spot. Tin fu is always consistent with the food. I love that have thai tea also. Yen is always the sweetest when we go in. We ordered walnut shrimp, sweet & sour pork, beef chow fun, potstickers, salt & pepper spareribs. Everything was delicious.

Tin Fu always does a great job with their party trays, though they prefer that you pay in advance. They prepare it fast & it's yummy! Can't go wrong with their fried rice & chow mein.

Fresh piping hot dishes and fair prices, what more can you ask for? My family used to own a Chinese restaurant so my standards are set very high. And this place definitely delivered and brought back some nostalgia!!! We ordered the dinner special with fried rice and 2 items - mix vegetable with tofu and general chicken. Their general chicken is to die for! Perfectly fried and coated in a sweet chili sauce. The tofu vegetables dish was very good too. We also got their bbq pork chow fun. The rice noodles are the thin kind compared to other places which is what I prefer! The only thing I would say was that there weren't that many pieces of pork and it's on the greasy side. The wok hei was definitely there! Server was very nice and checked on us during our meal. Will definitely be back soon to try other things on the menu.

Haven't dined in yet, but smaller restaurant. Seating space seems clean and tables arranged well for group gatherings or individual. Wonton noodle soup is the go-to call to order take out usual. Not overly seasoned plus well portioned for the price.

Delicious! Really good food. Calamari is not do overcooked. Dry fried ribs are flavorful, as well as a chow mein..... would recommend

I FINALLY found a Chinese food spot by my house that I like after a year and a half of moving to Hayward!!! The customer service is so friendly, my stomach didn't hurt, and I wasn't disgusted when I took a bit of my food!! I'm normally a chow mein girl butI had a craving for pork fried rice with Hunan chicken and orange chicken. they did not disappoint

Spicy shrimp and fried rice lunch plate

This place was my go to but I think they might have changed owners plates are a lot smaller and doesn't taste the same. Even the people taking orders are not friendly.

Wait time- ordered by calling and picking up. No dine in due to covid. Wait time was about 5-10 mins. Customer service- everyone is pleasant and sweet. Quality/ presentation- they pack your food the best- hands down. Keeps food hot and well together until you arrive home. I love that the food is always fresh, hot and cooked to my liking. I always ask for my chow mein with no vegetables. This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in hayward and a must try!

Since my parents live in Hayward I bring my family here very often as well. Hard to find a good HongKong style restaurants unless I go to San Francisco or Oakland but in Hayward area this is it. The staff told her we wouldn't be seated unless our entire party was present. About 4 people were late, but they still seated us. The restaurant kind of felt old and somewhat dirty. But hey, it was my dad's birthday. I wasn't paying for lunch. We occupied three tables and ordered from both the lunch and dim sum menus. I enjoyed dishes like shiu mai, pork buns, walnut shrimp, fried rice, fish, and fried noodles. The sesame balls were tasty, but the service was slow, and I had to follow up on our order. I didn't care for the bun with the hot dog or the other noodle dish. Later that day, my daughter mentioned she had found hair in a pork bun and that her cousin had eaten it. She also said every item he picked up had hair on it, which was disappointing. I didn't confirm this with my cousin, but it would have been helpful to have someone inform the staff. Fortunately, no one at our table found hair in their food, which was a relief. Overall, the food that I ate was fine, but I wouldn't make a special trip from San Jose to visit again...unless it's a fambam family treat.

However, my family had a GREAT experience and liked the food! The staff are SO friendly and attentive (so many water refills--I loved it) and even let us eat our cake there. We ordered the sizzling rice soup, dry-fried string beans, garlic eggplant, garlic chicken, mao pao tofu, gindo piguot (not sure how to spell it in English), and crispy seafood noodles. Their gindo piguot (sweet and sour short rib I think) really stood out and we ended up ordering 2 of them. I didn't love their mao pao tofu (still tasted good, but didn't taste like the typical mao pao tofu). Overall, not sure why they have a low rating and would consider coming back if I'm in the area!

All dishes came out as we hoped/expected with both the chicken and fish providing the nummy sensation that is unique to Szechuan cuisine. We threw in the eggplant order because we wanted some veggies and something that didn't overtly threaten to numb our palettes and were very happy with that as well. Chicken was fried well and not dry at all which was a lovely experience. Fish was also flavorful and enjoyable to eat, although perhaps the least memorable of the dishes. I wouldn't NOT get any of the dishes again and might elevate the chicken as a must get if you're there for the a Szechuan experience. Well probably come back the next time we get a craving for that nummy feeling.

Our group was seated in one of their banquet rooms, which was spacious, beautifully decorated, and perfect for celebrating such a special occasion. The service was exceptional throughout the event. The staff was attentive, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly despite the size of our party. The food was even better. We enjoyed a variety of dishes including chicken salad, chow mein, fried rice, honey prawns, teriyaki steak, dried spare ribs, Peking spare ribs, garlic green beans, salt and pepper chicken wings, egg rolls, and basil fish. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and served hot. A standout for me was the pomegranate margarita from the bar. It was refreshing, well balanced, and paired perfectly with the meal. Between the beautiful banquet space, attentive service, and excellent food, Chef's Bistro made for a memorable celebration. I can't wait to come back and experience more of the menu.

It was as we remembered, seasoned just right & flavorful. The dining hall itself is decorated beautiful. It has an upscale ambiance. The dining experience could have been better. Servers & restaurant staff were very serious. No pleasantries were expressed when we entered or when we were seated. No smiles on their faces. It felt like that they didn't want to be there! We confirmed by the response to our tea experience. We ordered Jasmine tea for 2. When it arrived in a heavy pot, we let it steep for 2 minutes before we poured it into cups. It was luke warm, slightly warmer than tap water & it tasted like water. We requested that it be replaced. It was taken away by our server with a frown on her face, no apologies. Another server later walked by & explained it would be a couple of minutes. When the pot returned, we put a timer for 3 minutes. Now it was hot, but not tea hot, but still lacking Jasmine flavor. By this time, none of the servers checked in on us about the tea. We finally called our server. She explained that the manager's instructions were to put 1 tsp of tea leaves. If we want it darker, we should steep it longer. We did. That didn't work. Still no tea flavor. She then offered to take it off our tab & walked away. She also informed us other patrons had liked the Jasmine tea. She seemed really angry that we brought the problem of the tea to their attention. For the rest of our dining time, no one approached us. We enjoyed the delicious food but put the tea aside. It wasn't replaced or fixed. It took a while to even get the check. Food is good. Interior design is good. Service needs major improvement.
