It was my first time trying soufflé (baked egg-based dish) and it was a great dining experience! We made a reservation for lunch and were promptly seated upon arrival. Le Soufflé doesn't only have soufflés, but it was definitely what we were eyeing to order. They have savory and sweet soufflés, so we made sure to get at least one of each. We started with the cheese soufflé and French onion soup combo, the beef bourguignon soufflé, and ended with the soufflé Grand Marnier for dessert. The cheese soufflé and French onion soup combo was a great appetizer to our meal. It also came with a couple bites of salad. I didn't have French onion soup until this meal, so I was really looking forward to it and it did not disappoint! The beef bourguignon soufflé was absolutely delicious as well and packed with flavor. The soufflé Grand Marnier was a perfect end to our meal, the liqueur added a nice alcoholic taste to the soufflé and is a great addition if you're looking for just a bit of alcohol in your system. The soufflés are the perfect size for sharing, so I would recommend doing that and trying a variety of dishes. Le Soufflé was a unique French dining and I would absolutely recommend them!

An iconic restaurant with traditional French decor. This must be my 10th visit over the years and the food and service remain outstanding. For all souffle lovers, this is a must visit. Different kinds of savory ones like their famous cheese souffle and the beef bourguignon. The sweet ones are amazing too, especially the one with Grand Marnier and the other with apples and calvados. Not crazy expensive for the quality of food and experience.
This is a must go if you are in Paris. The soufflés are beyond amazing but make sure you have a reservation. They are always full because this is tge very best of Paris if you like soufflé. They have other dish's too and the place is beautiful and quaint. Nicholas is the manager and he is wonderful as is the rest of the servers. They always give us the table by the window which my wife loves. If you are in Paris you have to enjoy the beef Bourguignon and then the desserts
Le Soufflé is in a side street near the Louvre and while it seems tiny, it has a back room. Reservations are recommended though, because it fills up quickly and they'd prefer you order everything at once since soufflés take a while to perfect. The service is outstanding, the restaurant itself is cute, and food was delicious and unlike anything I've ever had. The hubby and I shared a bottle of wine, a cup of soup, 2 entrees, and a dessert. Dessert and the soup were the highlight of the evening, though everything was very good. We started with the French onion soup which was cheesy, perfectly salted, onion forward, and had the chew of large crostinis inside. We then ordered the steak au poivre which was decent. The steak was a bit overcooked but we enjoyed the pepper cream sauce and such it was served on the steak and not in a ramekin. The savory soufflé was delicious and had chicken and mushrooms in a cream sauce. It was my first time having a proper soufflé and while delicious, I missed having texture in my meal. Last came the dessert soufflé which was the Grand Marnier, and is the most popular dish AND they leave the bottle of liqueur at your table. They poked a few holes on top, doused the soufflé with Grand Marnier and would've kept on going had I not stopped them. It was not overly sweet, creamy, had a nice taste, and paired well with the espresso at the end of the meal. It's quite an experience and such a unique menu that I'd recommend this place to anyone who's never had a soufflé before. Try it once.
Amazing soufflés - pistachio and chocolate is a must try! Foi gras and fig jam mini souffle was quite nice. Subtle richness from the foie gras and really tasty fig jam paired with it. Chicken and mushroom souffle was very fun with the chicken and mushroom gravy to pour in. My partner got the beef bourgignon souffle and it was hard to decide which we liked more. Finally, we ended with a raspberry souffle and pistachio & chocolate souffle. The pistachio and chocolate was by far my favorite of the meal. Something about the textures and form factor of a souffle just lends itself to sweet flavors so perfectly. I don't eat a lot of souffles so I thought it was a great experience to try such a variety. The texture is light and moist but maybe not something everyone will enjoy. If I were to visit again, I'd probably only get the pistachio & choc as eating 3 courses of these was filling and got repetitive in terms of texture. Service was friendly and it is a good idea to get a reservation as it was pretty crowded when we went. I'd recommend for anyone who likes souffles or wants to try.
Wonderful restaurant! Le Soufflé was simply wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about our lunch and the excellent and kind experience. We had green salad, onion soup, ham and cheese soufflé and ended with a chocolate soufflé for dessert. Everything was amazing, and the service was just wonderful. We absolutely loved it!
It is our 30th anniversary and we decided to celebrate at Le Souffle as we are in Paris. Whole I am giving it 4 stars, I think it.migjt really be 3,5 stars We both order the gourmet set. I got a cheese souffle and a onion soup as a starter. The onion soup was great, the cheese souffle no so much. The inside of the souffle was kinda gooey, almost like it wasn't fully cooked. I didn't like it. Maybe it was undercooked or maybe I just don't really know what a souffle should be like. My wife had a goat cheese and beer tower with a rosemary souffle for her starter. I wanted to point out that her souffle had a much more firmer texture than mine, also mine had no real flavor, while hers had a very sharp cheese flavor. Meanwhile mine was the cheese . The entree was the best part of myeal. Seared scallops with straw potatoes. My wife had turbot with a lemon butter sauce. We both loved them. For desert, I had a grand mariner souffle.anfnshr had a pistachio and chocolate souffle. Hers was excellent, mine was ok. Overall, I didn't love the meal. I would not go back.
Wanted to love this place. It's definitely a smaller restaurant and without reservations it's dicey for a walk-in dinner. Being American, we made the earliest rsvp which was 7p. It was empty when we came save two tables but after our first course came, the restaurant was packed. They have good pre-fixed menus but three courses of soufflé might be too much of one texture. Highly suggest getting a non soufflé main or starter for variety and enjoyment. Of note you order your dessert soufflé early. The normal size is good for sharing between 2-4 people. The mini ones are good for one or two people to share. The blue cheese pear starter came recommended based on previous Yelp reviews so we tried it. It was definitely a strong blue cheese flavor so please note. The tart on the side was nice with pears but the blue cheese seemed to overwhelm the pears. We found what we thought was hair at the bottom of the soufflé dish but on closer inspection it was a fallen bristle from the pastry brush. Escargot starter was decent but the snails themselves were the tiny ones. It was nice to have them already removed from the shell but it came at the expense of not being able to slurp the herb butter sauce from the shell. French onion soup was divine. Salty but just right with the melted cheese and large crouton. Main dish of duck was good. Duck was cooked perfectly and the sides were a good complement. Dessert was shared between two of us and we went for the rum raisin soufflé. They left the bottom of rum at our table and that was a highlight because if you want an alcoholic soufflé, you're definitely getting it. Strong and delicious. Wish we had tried the chocolate one too or even the vanilla. Honestly we loved the dessert soufflé the best. The preceding dishes were mediocre at best minus the great French onion soup. It was pricey for what we got. In retrospect, more of a tourist trap. Would suggest for a good lunch or upscale snack spot to get the dessert soufflés. Service was good and it was easy to find.
I loved Le Soufflé so much the first time I visited Paris last year that I had to go to this restaurant again this year. We were a little early but the ushered us into the back room to a lovely table for two. The escargot was classically made with a delicious garlic butter sauce that we dipped our bread into. We chose the beef bourguignon soufflé as it was so memorable since I last ate it though this time there were no mushrooms. And we ended our meal with a chocolate soufflé of course ooh la la!
I have never had a soufflé, and had always wanted to try one. Where better to try one than France!?! After spending the morning in the Louvre, we had reservations for lunch at Le Soufflé. We had delicious cheese soufflés with a salad as an entrée, and a delicious raspberry soufflé with rhubarb compote that we shared for dessert. The restaurant is small inside, and they really pack them in, but that is not unusual for Paris. The service was attentive, and we really enjoyed our meal. I would highly recommend!
You'll need to make reservations for this establishment early. Probably a week at least to get the time of your choosing. Before we made our way over to Europe, I looked into several establishments and quickly learned that covid changed the way how we dine now. Good places like this will limit occupancy due to regulations. With that said, limited tables are available during peak house which is why walking in during dinner hours is truly tossing the dice in vegas where the odds are always against you. Anyhow... this place is awesome! They are known for "The Souffle", can't be any more straight forward. It has its rustic charm upon entering. You'll noticed some old paintings and light-yellow decor. Old fashion is a good way to put it. Food: Its delicious here! Keep in mind that your appetizer may come with a souffle and more than likely, your dessert will have a souffle as well. With that said, I would recommend you get something else for the entree instead of a three course souffle like how I did it. You kind of get souffle'd out. Needless to say, all of it is fantastic! The grand marnier over the souffle at the end is so worth the wait. I would recommend this to top of your meal. Fiancée ordered duck which was very flavorful and nicely balanced with the orange. There are other dishes here that I saw other tables ordered and it looked amazing. Its safe to say this place is earns its stripe around its dishes. Come on in and give it a try. The best soufflé ever! I highly recommend the pear and chocolate if it's in season! The chocolate is better than chocolate we have in the states. It actually taste like chocolate. The soufflé Henri was also delicious. The chicken was plenty but I wish I had more mushrooms. The chicken in France is all natural. read more

On my last day in Paris, I decided to try this place. I got turned down for table for 1 without reservation around 630pm. I walked outside and a few second the server came back out to find me. He told me to come back in 30 mins and they will have a table for me so I did. The restaurant is small but the have two small dining room. I was seated in the inner dining room. It was very cozy, only a few tables and booth seats. They asked me to order everything at once, app, entree and dessert. The food was yummy but I would skipped the escargots. I had better elsewhere. It was definitely a place to try when in Paris. read more

Le Soufflé gave me a new perspective on soufflés! I never had one quite like this in the states before, so this was a new and positive experience for me. I made a reservation via email a month ago. Compliments to Le Soufflé's responsiveness because I heard back really quickly about my request for a reservation! I really appreciate it! I ordered the Tomato Burrata and Petite tomato basil soufflé. I loved freshness of the tomatoes and the pleasant basil flavor in my fluffy souffle. It was really lovely. The tomato burrata and the side salad complimented well was a nice complement to my souffle. It really fit into tomato theme. My husband got the beef bourguinoin souffle. I took a taste and found the meat to be very tender with the same fluffy souffle. My husband really enjoyed it! For dessert, my husband and I shared the Grand Marnier souffle. It was a classic dessert souffle topped with generous amount of Grand Marnier, which provided the perfect balance between of sweetness and bitterness with a nice hint of orange. If it was too sweet, they leave the bottle of Grand Marnier for you to add to your liking! This was the highlight of my meal. I highly recommend this! I had a great experience at Le Souffle and would come back next time. read more

Small space with great food! It's a unique experience that leaves you beyond full and satisfied with the concept of having a soufflé for a while. The service was very professional and attentive. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5/5 stars is because by the 3rd soufflé, the texture becomes so repetitive that it's not as appealing. Overall, I highly recommend! It's definitely a unique and very Parisian experience! read more

The food was delicious, and the room they put us in was located at the back, which was perfect as it offered a quieter experience. There's no need to feel obligated to order expensive bottled water; Paris tap water is perfect. The only downside was the waiter's somewhat brusque attitude. Nevertheless, it's worth a try, as you'll feel like Julia Child dining there. Bon appétit! read more

I figured that we need to get souffle in France so we came to Le Souffle and they did not disappoint. We tried a few savory souffle and sweet souffle, all are very good. We also got a duck breast and it was excellent. Service was attentive, fast and we are quite happy with everything. I would recommend reserving a table since the whole dining room is mostly full. Food, service and ambience are all excellent. I would recommend Le Souffle when you visit Paris. read more
Can't be in Paris without eating soufflé. Best 3: 1. Beef souffle 2. Cheese souffle 3. Dessert souffle Grand Marnier Can't go wrong with 3 course menu also. Reservations is 7pm or 9pm. You arrive on time still need to wait for 15-30mins. Hard to find parking. But this meal is worth it. read more

I had never had a souffle before, so I was determined to find one while I was in Paris. Only about two or three restaurants came up in my search that serve souffles regularly. This place had some of the best reviews..and with a name like "Le Souffle"...you'd think they would know what they're doing! So I reached out via email for a reservation. I was very fortunate to get one last minute (the day before) as they book up quickly. And I don't think they take walk-ins as many people were turned away the night I was there. The staff was very friendly upon entering the restaurant and I was quickly seated once I gave my name. It was no issue at all that I was dining by myself. They have many different options available to choose from on the menu. A 3-course souffle, which I was tempted to get..but 3 souffles seemed like a lot! I ended up going with "Le Menu Degustation" which is entree + plat+dessert for 48 euros. For my entree, I had the Pear & Roquefort soufflé & croustillant| salad. For the plat, the duck, and for dessert, the hazlenut souffle. Everything was delicious. I enjoyed the strong flavors of the roquefort in the first souffle. The duck was awesome...and the stuff it came with was too..thought I didn't know what some of it was! lol. And the hazlenut souffle was nice and light tasting. This was my last meal in Paris, and a great way to end it! Also, I used this as an opportunity to practice my french, but they do have English menus/speakers available if needed! read more

Wowsers! Offering nothing but soufflés, we knew we were in for a treat! Tomato & basil starter soufflé came with huge & flavorful tomatoes and fresh mozzarella so we got soufflé and caprese all in the same dish Then it was the chèvre and tapenade soufflé for the both of us as a main & these were huge & light & fluffy & packed full of flavor Ending the evening with the apple and whiskey soufflé for the Mr and chocolate for me, my only piece of advice would be to shard the dessert as it is just as large as the main and it was too much for us to fit in as much as we really wanted to A return spot for sure. This was a great treat after a long day of shopping. I've never had savory suffles and I was pleasantly surprised here! I picked a tomato salad as an appetizer - it came with a tomato souffle. I picked a duck main course - it came with a duck souffle. The dessert, of course, is also a souffle. I did get pretty tired of souffles by the end. The duck was cooked really nicely, and came with tasty fries. Friendly and efficient service too! I think I'll just stick to sweet souffles from now on, but I'm really glad I got to try savory ones here. After all, souffles are a classic Parisian dish! Give it a try :) read more

SUPERB. Le soufflé is known for having every table full within 5 minutes of opening, so we decided to be waiting at the door extra early and snagged the very last table :) We totally overfed our eyes (and bellies!) with the menu, which included 3 souffles. One menu option was slightly cheaper and included souffles that were poultry based, while the more expensive one had red meat and seafood. I did the former, and ordered the spinach and goat cheese soufflé for my appetizer, cream of chicken and mushroom for my entree, and chocolate soufflé with chocolate sauce for dessert. Each was better than the next, but I seriously couldn't even finish half of each, which was a shame! I docked a star because it is primarily a tourist place, albeit a good one, and service is insane- think literally RUNNING from table to table or kitchen to table. I almost got run over coming back from the toilet. read more

Soufflés and service were excellent! Make sure to make a reservation prior to going! The prices were reasonable and the quality of food was great. Every dish leaving the kitchen looked exceptional. I'm so glad we had our final dinner in Paris here. read more

Attracted here by yelp reviewers and did not disappoint. Arrived shortly after restaurant opened at 7 pm and found it already nearly full. Greeted warmly and treated well throughout. Menu has two prix fixe options which include first and second course and dessert or cheese plate, both reasonable at 37 and 46 euros. Many types of souffles both savory and sweet offered, as well as classic dishes such as duck breast, beef bourgignon, filet of sole etc. Souffles were excellent (chicken tarragon pictures) and came with side dish of vegetables and extra sauce to pour into the soufflé, as was the chestnut soup with foie gras. Grand marnier soufflé for dessert was light and outstanding (pictured). Service very attentive. Very comfortable and filling place to eat on a cold winter night. Will gladly return! read more

Stopped in for lunch while in Paris. We had a reservation, which I confirmed, but on the day of I did notice afterwards that they were still trying to reconfirm. Not sure what that was about and perhaps it had something then to do with where we were seated. The front of the restaurant was bright and energetic, but we were led to a back room that had no windows. That was a bit disappointing. The soufflés were wonderful though and a unique experience. I definitely recommend the duo of soup and soufflé since then maybe there is room for dessert. My son had the filet with thin fries and my sister had a full sized cheese souffle. Filet was nicely cooked but lacked seasoning. All were very good overall. read more
