We came here for a dinner date and I was so excited that my partner made the reservations ahead of time. I quickly glanced at the menu before we went to see what the menu was like. Within 3 second I k ew I would love anything I ordered. We were seated at our table quickly and we ordered an espresso martini and a l'envers cocktail. Both were unreal! I really enjoyed the flavors of the l'envers cocktail. We ordered some great appetizers and wow - flavor overload. We had the shrimp cocktail, escargots and the wild mushroom tart. The wild mushroom tart was my favorite. The flavors sent me back to France. We ate all the appetizers and our main entrees came out. I ordered the lapin and pasta - the rabbit was perfectly cooked and the flavors and items non the plate was insanely delicious. This is now one of my top 3 restaurants in Detroit.

The food was delicious and we had a enjoyable experience here! I would probably give Le Supreme 4.5 stars actually as long as you have a good seat (go for the tables near the windows away from the bar area as they seem more private). We started off with some drinks, In the Name of Love (spicy margarita) very good! We didn't care for the La Moutonne, it had a different taste (not sure I can explain it but wasn't preferred). Service was pretty good. They gave us some fresh bread with delicious butter. We were very tempted by the appetizers but we get too full! So I got the sea bass and my hubby got the gnocchi. I would definitely recommend both dishes! Maybe another time, we will have to try more apps and other dishes too! Ps parking is mainly street or parking structures. We didn't have an issue but you may have to walk to get to the restaurant if you end up having to park far away.

The service was absolutely amazing. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. He gave some great recommendations. The food was delicious! The closest thing you can get to real French cuisine in Paris.

Go here almost every time I'm in Detroit for work with colleagues. We love the atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and the service.

Why 4 stars? Because we had a solid overall experience here. --- --- --- As part of an annual trip my friend and I take every year, we always end up finding one place to splurge on steaks. Detroit was an interesting city for this, in that there seemed to be hardly any actual, traditional steakhouses. A lot of places would have a steak or two on the menu, with a bunch of other entrees, usually with some sides you don't typically find at a steakhouse. Lots of beets. But we eventually settled on Le Supreme - they had a filet and steak frites on the menu and that was enough to pull the trigger. I ordered said filet and thought it was a perfectly 4-star steak. Certainly enjoyable, but not one I'd be screaming from the Michigan mountaintops about. I did really enjoy the pommes frites that came alongside it. And our server, Myron, was about as charismatic as a person could be. This ended up being a great place to catch up with my old Detroit area resident friend and his wife that I'd never met.

We've visited Le Suprême a few times now and are definitely fans. The vibes are great, and the food even better. The wild mushroom tart is a highlight from the hors d'oeuvres menu, and this last time I went all out with the côte de beouf and wasn't disappointed, it was amazing! I'll only say that speed and preparation aren't always a virtue. We showed up for our reservation and had to wait ~20 minutes, not awful but not ideal. And both visits we've experienced the service to be on the slow side. Overall a great option for dining, we'll definitely be back.

In Detroit for a visit and followed son's suggestion for Le Supreme for a brunch spot. It was spot on and worth the little bit of a wait to get in. It has an old world charm to it, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. My son also suggested (almost insisted) I have the french onion soup. He knows I love a good one, so I took the advice. It was AMAZING. Not just good. I'm so very happy I had it. It truly is a meal in itself -- rich deep broth and cheeses and onions and bread -- every ingredient was intertwined and delicious. Spouse had the croque madame, son had the lyonnaise salad and son's partner had the white fish salad. We all savored each selection. We will return someday and will have to try out some of the spectacular things on the dinner menu.

Everything we ate was perfect. The French cuisine and attention to details made us feel like we flew to France for dinner. The ambiance is romantic and lovely. Our service was amazing. I want to say her name was Sierra maybe. We will absolutely be back, and I'm so happy we picked here for our anniversary. My boyfriend and I have been on easily over 100 dates by now lol we've been together for 7 years. We both agreed this was like in one of our top 10 dates of all time.

*Updated review Detroit is a French city, and Le Supreme is a really lovely French bistro. It's one of the very few restaurants in the States that actually feels as though you have stepped into a Paris cafe. This was my third visit since they opened, and first time for brunch. We had a small group for a friends birthday. Raven was our outstanding server, she was friendly and took good care of us. I also loved that we were seated at the back corner table, it was a late brunch, we had space and a nice view of the restaurant. The one complaint I've had on previous visits, is some of the tables are a bit tight (though also true to Paris). We started with several appetizers to share: the pastry basket, oysters, cheese plate, (and my selection) the mushroom tart. I have had the tart before based on others reviews, it's not an item I would have thought to order. But it's amazing, and every friend that has tried it was also positively surprised. Incredibly flaky, rich and creamy, I recommend. The oysters were good, I like that they do have mignonette not enough paces do, but not the best I've had in the area. We all shared bites of the pastries: chocolate, regular croissant, banana bread, lemon, and a blueberry muffin. It was all good, I did ask for butter, as their butter is amazing, and it just makes the banana bread and muffin. One friend ordered the French onion soup and the burger, another the pancakes, and two of us had the steak frites. The fries are the shoe string version, great balance between crisp and potato. My steak came true to order, perfect medium, but with such a good sear. We all agreed everything was fantastic, no missteps here. Our only misstep was we were too full for dessert!

Great service, lovely place. One of my husband's favorites. I think I may be challenging with French food. The butternut squash soup was FANTASTIC. One of the best things I've eaten in the last year. The cocktails were great and the tartar was good. The jamon and brie sandwich and the escargot were a bit bland for me. That said, we enjoy it here and will be back (with focused ordering!)

Deviled eggs and wild mushroom tart with croissant.

I came here for brunch with a friend. The atmosphere is bright and inviting with plenty of light from the big windows. The deviled eggs were delicious and perfectly cooked. The bacon added a layer of texture and saltiness. We also had the wild mushroom tart. It was savory and the tart was flaky and fresh. I had the burger du maison. Unfortunately, it was extremely greasy and messy. I couldn't finish it because the bun was falling apart. The manager was nice enough to comp the burger, which was nice of her. I would definitely return when I visit Detroit again!

Le Suprême was in many ways my crash course introduction to Detroit. I had flown in that day, and worked a few hours more out of the lovely Roost hotel room I was staying in. I was exhausted and hungry and all signs and staff members I asked in the building pointed to Le Suprême as the closest, greatest restaurant. That meal was fantastic, and the conversation with the welcoming bartender that served me was a great education on all sorts of topics I still find useful to reference, such as an abbreviated history of the Detroit Coney Wars a few blocks away. Now for me, a trip to Detroit doesn't feel complete without a meal at Le Suprême. It's a delicious restaurant with great vibes often easy to get to, even when I don't stay at the Roost. All of the best seafood I've had in Detroit has been from Le Suprême's menu. Including that it taught me Detroit's most local seafood, its lake trout. Though I believe the way that the Trout Almandine is prepared at Le Suprême has probably spoiled it for me from most other restaurants. I was taught by a few places and people in my life that you can judge a French Restaurant by its breads and which ones it bakes in house and how they are served. Le Suprême says a lot very loudly by how I was told all of the breads and pastries are made in house. The table bread is always delightful alone to me, but the various tarts both appetizer and dessert are all great, too. That first trip I had a lot of lovely rosemary butter from the bottom of the incredible pot of muscles and I remarked that I'd love to take the rest for leftovers with a bunch of bread to soak it all up, and that was kindly boxed up for me for leftovers, which I deeply enjoyed in my room in the Roost a few days later. I think there are few higher compliments that I have for a restaurant than still thinking so fondly of even a meal of leftovers from the dregs of a pot and a handful of "end of the night" bread a few nights later (after a long work day). Since then I've worked to do a somewhat extensive study of the menu, slowly in one a quarter year or so trips, have yet to find a dish I wouldn't order twice, and continue to enjoy the lovely cocktail menu and choice few Michigan breweries on draft. Le Suprême spoils me a lot for what to expect from other Detroit restaurants, but I appreciate that it sets such a high bar.

We had been waiting to try this place for brunch for quite a while and finally had a chance to do that recently. It was much larger than I expected it to be, but the interior is absolutely charming. A good server can make or break a dining experience and Taylor was an absolute delight! The food was also outstanding - I had the Omelette Francais and my wife had the Eggs Benedict. Both came in excellent portion sizes and tasted fabulous. I look forward to returning to sample a broader range of the menu!

Do they have anything gluten-free on the dinner menu?

I'm not sure about gluten free, but they were very helpful with my dairy and nut allergies. They check with the chef if you have any allergies. I imagine you'd be fine with a few of the entrees and starters, but probably not safe for celiacs.

Nate and I stopped in on our most recent visit to Detroit and had a lovely experience. The menu includes cocktails, lots of wine, and several tasty food options. It was quite busy inside, so it took a bit of time for our server to come over to us, but we weren't in a rush. They had ten cocktails on their list and I tried the bullet proof soul and Nate got the negroni alla perra. The ingredients list for some of the cocktails include things I've never heard of, but at a place like this, I just know it's going to be good. Our drinks were perfectly balanced and very tasty. We also ordered the mortadella sandwich to split--this was delicious. It was pretty messy, but worth it. It was perfectly toasted and full of mortadella. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and I would love to try more of the food options. Can't wait to visit again!

Then from the Principals, I chose the Chingona, which was a little bit spicy and savory but still so refreshing. To Finish, I chose the Chocolatier Cosmo, which came with a tiny house-made salted dark chocolate. I loved all three cocktails I ordered, especially the chocolatier cosmo because it was perfectly sweet and went so well with the small piece of chocolate. For food, we started off with the crispy pork belly milk bread. For my entree, I ordered the miso butter gnocchi. It was kind of on the salty side but I still really liked it. The apple sofrito added a bit of sweetness to it. For dessert, we had to get the rhubarb coffee cake, which came with strawberry ice cream. Omg one of the best desserts I've ever had!! I never thought of combining cinnamon coffee cake with rhubarb or strawberry but it's perfect, and I might have to make something like that soon. Between the two of us we had the beet salad, burger and steak tartare. Burger was good, but not the best smash burger that I've had. Beet salad was fine, however the cream cheese was a bit overpowering against the orange oil. It was dying for some citrus. Steak tartare was a bit dry, meaning that a small dab of olive oil would have added to the richness and overall mouth feel. I did not really taste the egg although I did see a dab of yolk on the tartare. Needed a bit of salt also to enhance the taste Menu was small, but it did cover a cross section of French bistro dishes. All in all, I thought it was a bit overpriced. So I will have to consider returning for a full meal. I would come back for a burger and beer at the bar.
