We dined on fresh French bread with butter, French onion soup for hubby and this night's special of tomato bisque for me. Our entrees were rack of lamb for hubby which was cooked to perfection and crab cakes for me. Dessert was a Grand Marnier soufflé shared between us though I ate 90% of it. It was accompanied by a crème anglais sauce, raspberry sorbet and a twille cookie. I had to flag down our server to ask for water and also when we wanted to put our order for dessert. The ambiance was upscale as usual. This time the portions were more generous. One star less for the lack of attention to us as well as the rest of that server's customers. The rest of the servers took great care of their customers in stark contrast.

Lovely holiday lunch with friends. Le Yaca offers a two-course lunch for $26 or three courses for $32. The selection is broad, and all of the dishes are delicious. Today we had the soup of the day, which was butternut squash and the crab cake entree. One of us enjoyed the chocolate bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream, and she devoured it! Service is friendly. We sat in the front room, which was decorated with a fresh huge pine tree. It was very festive.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. We live in Richmond, Virginia and my request was Le Yaca brunch for Mother's Day. The food was amazing, I had the lobster tail with a truffle sauce, Rose from Provence, and the service was wonderful.

We were fans of Le Yaca from their Virginia Beach location so, while here for a family weekend, we snuck away for a date night just us. This building is beautiful. The decor is elegant. It's huge! Several rooms and all with a theme and elegant decor, a beautiful bar area, the entry was also nice, beautiful artwork, and clean and elegant bathrooms. Our server was wonderful. She was prompt and respectful and just paced the meal perfectly and took care of us from start to finish. We started with the crab crepe which we get every time. A cheesy crepe with a ton of quality crab meat. Yum! We split the Shrimp risotto with asparagus and it was well worth the $10 split fee for a little more and the portion was plenty for two. It came with a house salad as well. I love their house salad with greens, purple grapes and a delicious mustard vinaigrette dressing. To finish, we reviewed dessert but were honestly stuffed so we went with one scoop of raspberry sorbet and some fresh coffee. Coffee was delicious. As expected, we loved our meal and can't wait to come back next time we're in town.

This place is a hidden gem. It's in a shopping mall area of Williamsburg so it can be hard to miss. The food was phenomenal! The restaurant has a variety of options to choose from and everything we had was delicious. The red snapper, salmon, and scallops were fresh, hot, and extremely flavorful. The fresh baguette they bring to the table is authentic and really makes it feel like you're in France. The desserts were okay. The tiramisu didn't have a strong coffee flavor and the chocolate cake didn't have a strong cocoa flavor. The drink selections were so great! The wine and cocktails were superb. The service was phenomenal. Our waiter was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The ambiance was perfect. The restaurant is very dry spacious and upscale.

I have now dined at Le Yaca 3 times in the past year and each time is a great experience with excellent food and service It's absolutely beautiful inside with each dining space minimally decorated but it's feels warm and inviting. Food wise the standouts this past time were the lobster bisque, chocolate croissants , fresh bread and butter, the steak, the crabcake (so much crabmeat) and the chocolate cake! I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the food choices. Can't wait to go back for another dining experience here!

I love bellying up to the large bar here for their lunch specials (great deals!). Dinner is obviously much pricier (for the same entrees) and the service goes at a much slower pace. Excellent food, drinks, and service.

One of our go-to restaurants for a more upscale meal. Today was a lunch, where I had the beef Wellington and wife had Le crabe. Both were excellent, but given a pix fixe menu with increased prices, I was sad to see the portions had also decreased. I would recommend getting the desert option to round out the meal. Soups were good (wife won with her tomato bisque with basis seasoning.). A little disconcerting when two of the servers were not fluent in English, but polite and main servers took over.

I've eaten in Paris and a lot better French restaurants in the US. The staff is lovely but the food is not that good, and just discovered the owner making anti-diversity posts so just another reason I won't be supporting.

Enjoyed the food here! Great service as well. I would recommend this if you are looking for a nicer dinner spot.

Le Yaca is in the heart of Williamsburg a couple of miles from the outlet. The restaurant is nice and intimate. Our server was good and attentive. They placed us in the back (wink)in which I didn't mind because it was quiet and intimate. We order the salmon and red snapper. Both were flavorful and cooked to perfection. The Verde salad was delicious as well. The crab cake was scrumptious with hardly no fillers.

This is at least our third time here usually for an anniversary or birthday This is truly 5 star service and we enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere of the restaurant. My only issue was the cobblestone / brick entrance was difficult to manage with a mobility scooter. The price fix menu is great even for a country boy to understand, and I wish other places would adopt the same approach. Loved the French onion soup and will be working on copying that for my home recipes. The halibut was fantastic and the sauce made it even more delicious. The tenderloin and crab was amazing and delicious hitting all of my favorite flavors. Finally the desserts were both unique and beyond compare. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant for a grand and wonderful meal and experience.

Special of the night: Flounder with two oysters

We came here for our anniversary and were sat in the wine room. It was quiet and felt special. We both got the Southern Honey cocktail, which was larger than expected and delicious. We also ordered off the Prix fixe menu with our starter being the mushroom soup of the day then getting different mains and desserts. The mushroom soup was the right choice because it was rich, flavorful and the perfect consistency. I got the salmon main and my husband got the fish special, which were both delicious. He then got the trio of sorbets while I got the creme brule. We agreed the sorbet was the winning dessert. The only thing we thought could've improved our experience was faster service. We were there for three hours, where it felt like it was about an hour a plate. Overall, it was an amazing experience and we will be back.

Ask the Community - Le Yaca

Do they allow dogs on the patio?

I saw a service dog once. But you can call the restaurant they will easily answer that question for you. They are super friendly

Is Le Yaca open on monday?

No they're not. They are closed Sunday night and Monday.

Does the patio have propane or electric heaters?

Does le yaca have real French food and people?

This Resturant, in my opinion , had real French food. I have cooked French food, been to France, and eaten French food many time. I believe I heard the owner of the place speaking with a French accent.

Our children ok?

Yes, I believe it is okay to bring children to La Yaca.

What is the required attire? I'm coming there for vacation and want to know what I need to pack.

Business casual is fine. But like with anywhere in Williamsburg, casual attire is allowed--we find it more fun to dress it up a little! Enjoy your meal--great service & wine list!

I stopped by on a rainy day around 1PM, so it was super quiet (which I loved). Our waitress was a gem. She let us try a few wine options before we decided what we wanted to order. I ordered a glass of rosé and the Greek board, and both hit the spot. The rosé was crisp and refreshing, which was perfect for a humid day. I paired it with the Greek board, which had all the Mediterranean favorites. A generous amount of pita, olives, hummus, feta and grapes! I'm a sucker for a good Med plate. Whether you're looking to have a girls day, a casual date, find a new spot to work from, or just pop in for a light lunch and glass of wine, Tinto is the spot. I look forward to visiting the VB location!

The fresh catch meal included a simple house salad, and it took 30 minutes for the salad to arrive. Shortly after the salad arrived, our meals came out, and they were lukewarm. I had the grilled mahi mahi with lemon dill butter over some roasted fingerling potatoes and corn. While the fish itself was a nice piece and well prepared, its not-quite-warm temperature made it less appetizing to eat. The same was true for our other meals: the seafood pot pie and the mahi mahi fish tacos. While our waitress offered to have them all reheated, we both didn't have time as we had theatre tickets and reheating the tacos with their toppings, the pot pie with its pastry crust, and the seared fish didn't sound appealing. The restaurant's dining room was comfortable, and the bar area looked vibrant. Hopefully they are still breaking in their new facility, as we liked dining with them in their previous location.

We went on a Sunday afternoon at 3 PM and were promptly seated. The atmosphere was fine, pretty open and unexceptional, but modern and new. Big screen in front of us playing the Sunday football game. Server was quick to get drink orders in, 12 oz. Commonwealth Modern 'Smores stout for $8 and my wife got a $16 Peppermint Espresso Martini. I appreciated the nice Commonwealth stout and the price was fine. The Peppermint Espresso martini was mediocre and very overpriced considering that. Our food took a long time. Like 3 apologies from the server long. There were 2 parties of like 10 that were in process when we sat so I get it. But I do feel like something should be given when it's 45 minutes plus on food. Anyway, on to the food.... My kid is not much of an eater and they did not have any type of kid menu. Ended up with a soft pretzel for $13. Add cheese fondue and it's $16. It was very big and delicious.... At $16 it's hard to be excited about it though. The cheese fondue definitely made the pretzel. I was not overly hungry and got She crab soup $8.50 for the cup and a Caesar salad $5. The soup was good, they add the crab on top so you can see they give you about half a cup and for the price it was good. Definitely not the best she crab soup in the area, but good enough. Caesar was just croutons, Parmesan and dressing and was fine. My wife got the "fresh catch" Chilean Sea Bass for $33. It was kind of fishy tasting. Fresh fish is rarely fishy. It was overcooked, horribly plated and the blackened seasoning had minimal flavor. It was bad. We asked for some tarter for it and it made it tolerable. The server offered to replace it, but having just waited 45 minutes for food we weren't going to chance something else, particularly since we were with another couple. While we were waiting I had 2 $3 special Budweisers and my wife had a $14 Snowflake Margarita. They were all fine. My kids sprite was $4 which feels outrageous, but I don't know what places are charging these days for sodas. I normally don't pay attention. Bill came with another apology for all the waiting and no discount. Tough to make it as a seafood restaurant when you are struggling with your seafood. I heard their seafood nachos are excellent.... Maybe I'll give them another chance for those. My first experience was not a good one.

This has been high on my "want to try" for a long time and finally saw an opportunity with an available reservation, went for it and am so happy I did. I dined solo, which I rarely do, but this was the perfect place for it. It was apparent that most people dining were regulars. The owner was chatting with just about everyone and diners were popping over to other tables to say hello, as well. Felt like a very small town. Service was perfect - not overbearing, but perfectly timed for a good flow throughout dinner. Their menu changes often, so some of the items I loved, may not be available - but it does seem like their fried oysters are a mainstay and holy moly, they were delicious. I had one cocktail - I believe it was called Watermelon Sugar. It had vodka, aperol and fresh watermelon. Refreshing and smooth. I tried two apps: the fried oysters and the bao buns. Both were fantastic. Perfectly prepared, so much flavor. I think that next time, I would stick to the appetizer section and try many rather than getting an entree. I got the scallops, which were delicious, but the apps wow-ed me more. Prices aren't low, but you get what you pay for - really high quality dishes with lots of thought and execution embedded. I don't say this lightly - this has been added to my top 10 list in all of Hampton Roads!
