This place is fantastic. We ordered Miami Spice menu and everything was delicious. Our waitress Kimberly was helpful and very sweet. Highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Third time to Le Zoo, brought out of town guests this time. Unfortunately, I had the worse meal I've had in Miami in a long time. We were seated inside where we were bumped into every 5 minutes, our server was non-existent. It took over 25 minutes to get our drinks both times we ordered. I actually made eye contact with the manager hoping he would ask me if I needed something, but no. He was also too busy texting when we left to bother asking me how my meal was. I waited 45 min for my dinner, I ordered the Trout and it was underwhelming, lacked the punch the sauce usually has and it was over cooked. Server never asked how are meal was, or if we needed anything. Needless to say, my friends were equally disappointed. I will not return, for the money there are far better options. read more

The French style onion soup was just ok. Wines served by the glass come in small wine glasses. Wines available by the bottle offer a nice selection and served in appropriate glassware. The butter poached shrimp salad was over salted but the shrimp, while small, we're delicious. The trout amandine was a nice thick piece of fish, cooked perfectly with toasted almond slivers and al dente green beans..... however the brown butter sauce was ovewhelming for our tastes Decor is beautiful and the service was great, We'll return but likely order other options. read more

The food was fresh and really tasty. I had the sea bass and spinach - definitely recommend it. We didn't need to wait too long they were seating people pretty quickly. We got seated easily but the service was a little slow. It took quiet some time for the food to come out of the kitchen. Our waitress was really sweet and friendly which we appreciated. read more

My husband and I just love this real French restaurant . Service is good. The food is great . Bread like in France and the profiteroles are the best in the world ! ( We did travel over the world ...) read more

Excellent pasta & steak in miami, you can have smoking section outside the restaurant. Very reasonable price for the steak

Le zoo is a zoo for the Bon chic Bon genre type. Delicious bistro style food awaits you. The zucchini blooms take me back to Florence. The oysters are amazingly fresh. Each selection is delicious. The people watching is always entertaining. read more

My family and I came here for New Year's Eve, as a party of 7, so you can only imagine the chaos. Surprisingly, the service was incredible. The seafood plates, albeit pricey, were fresh and delicious--not "fishy" at all! Worth the money. I ordered the duck and wasn't disappointed. The portion size was appropriate without skimping or being gargantuan. The best part, in my family's opinion, was the dessert. You have to try the profiteroles, believe me. You have to! read more

Had a delicious brunch today. The service was first rate. The crab and avocado salad was mouth watering. The oysters were fresh. The ambiance was fun. Will return to try something else. High end eatery. No early bird diners allowed. read more

Very nice place to go and have eat. The staff is very friendly, and provide a knowledgeable and tentative service. I came in and had the seafood platter it was great. The items were super fresh, and the ice was changed frequently. I will be back next time I'm in the area. read more

I was called in for an interview at 5pm. Waited an hr to talk with a Supervisor called Kristina then for her to tell me I'm not qualified with 10min. Are you kidding me..... And then you validate my ticket but yet I paid $3.00 to pay parking. Unprofessional.. Not worth your time. She read my resume but yet called me in for an hr of my time... Not cool. read more

On a busy holiday such as Mother's Day, most places are controlled chaos, at best. Had a lunch reservation with my dear friend that I rarely get to spend time with so I was looking forward to this meal. We both noticed a table being set up adjacent to us for about 20 guests. We cringed wondering how loud & unsettling this may be. We were enjoying our lunch with JonBatiste as our server when the Manager approached us & asked us if he might move us to a more suitable spot in advance of this large parties' arrival. That is outstanding service. Unexpected. Gracious. Thoughtful and anticipatory. Jonbatiste was an outstanding server. The food was delicious. We had a lovely time & will definitely go back again. From the escargot to the creme brulee' to the entire staff, this spot trumps any other option in Bal Harbour shops by miles........... read more

The food is superb! We had mushroom tart and tuna carpaccio as starters and veal Milanese, crab angel hair pasta for seconds. The hostess Alyssa is one of the nicest persons I have met in a restaurant . This restaurant really deserves 5 stars. read more

Great spot for Bistro style food, the steak frites is the best in town. Service is good not fantastic.

The warm shrimp salad was flavorful. That being said, the staff appeared overwhelmed by the amount of business. Too 40 min to get 4 salads. I would come back but not on the day after Xmas read more

This place is so good. Really amazing French food in a light atmosphere. I will be coming back again and again. Our waiter Erik was great.

I use to go to this restaurant at least once a week, because food and service, 2 weeks ago went there and no only the steak was very bad ( was no steak frites, was churasco frites ) I had the worst experience with the manager that insured me for 10 minutes that he was right and I was wrong !!! A place not to go read more

Service was good. Ambiance was great. My food sucked and it was such a nice place my fiancé didn't want me to complain. I ordered the grilled prawns they were dry and although the presentation when it first comes out is good they poor something over it to have it flame up. When I bit into it it tasted like I was biting into burned lighter fluid. It was God aweful I could t eat it I gave my food away. Our bill as a whole table was like over $300 for lunch. Go elsewhere if you can I'm sure there's other places with better menues especially if your a seafood lover. The amount of food is very small too. The other couple we were with one person had to order two entres and I would of had to do same but it wasn't worth it I thought it was nasty. After all that money still leaving hungry is not something I ever do. read more

Wow What great people watching What incredible high end cars passing before your eyes...... Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley,Rolls they are all there - it's like being at the auto show with food. As far as the food is concerned don't have high expectations and you won't be disappointed Six of us at the table and not a single positive comment Not awful but not what it could and should have been On a positive note- Excellent waitstaff , from server to runner to busboy all did the job exceedingly well Would I go back - no , but if you like cars and people watching you can't go wrong I can go on but I'm sure you get the message read more

Went for lunch on a Saturday. Had the onion soup and saffron spaghettini. Food is not cheap and portions are small but outstanding nonetheless! Good service and always busy read more

The food, and staff were all lovely. The only downside, can all be attributed to the rude hostess. She was openly snide, and though this eatery is right in the midst of extremely high end shops, this hostess stood apart- in the worst possible way. read more

My faily and I have been going to Le Zoo since it opened, and have usually enjoyed a lovely time and excellent meal and service. We booked a reservation two weeks in advance and still found ourselves waiting in line to speak with the hostesses. Once there, they offered a place in a rather uncomfortable spot outside where shoppers would no doubt be knocking into us with their bags and didn't have the atmosphere that we prefer. When we said that we wanted a table at the front of the restaurant, the manager, Diana, refused to change the seating in a very sarcastic tone, even though there were clearly tables available. They allowed people behind us to cut in line while we were speaking and they were seated immediately. We asked to speak to a higher manager, after being spoken to in an incredibly rude manner, and were directed to Hector, the regional manager, who quickly had us seated at a lovely table. Our waitress, Rossana, was excellent, and I would give her five stars any day. Hector was very kind and accomodating. However, Diana was not a class act. read more

First class restaurant. Everything was so tasty and well prepared. Good portions too. Loved the escargot and warm shrimp salad especially. Not cheap, but not ridiculously overpriced - and well worth it. read more

After a day of Shopping, we decided to give it a try to Le Zoo. Kourbin, Our waiter, was attentive , as a first time visitor he advised us just the right things we should try. He even took care of our Dog, bringing him fresh water. Mushroom Tart was to die for! My friend tried the frog legs and they were delicious ! We did not have any dessert but I am dying to try them. Sorry Carpaccio, you won't see us in a while Love, love this french Place. Vive La France! read more

The Food was just ok! It wasn't bad, but is wasn't great for the price they charged. The Hostess seem quite disinterest and above everyone. The waiter was romancing us and was very charming, but the service lacked panache! They need to improve their polishing for service and professionalism! read more

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant based upon my experience. Having lived in Philly, I am familiar with Starr and the quality he strives to attain, however the duck confit was anything but stellar. The sauce was on point, but the duck actually tasted as though something was wrong with it - starting to turn, perhaps. I definitely will not be returning as I cannot trust what comes out of the kitchen. Sorry, Stephen. read more

I stumbled across this French-inspired gem by accident. I went for brunch and had the flawlessly prepared Norwegian Benedict and a cappuccino. The bartender was attentive and helpful. Well prepared classics, quality ingredients, generous portions. Friendly attentive service, nice atmosphere.

Reviewing this place is really difficult as their food and their service are not at all on the same level. Overall, I decided to give it 2 stars because despite the quality of food, I would never come back because of the service. Service: We came here on a Saturday night at 9pm as the other nearby restaurants all had 45 minute waits. We were seated with menus and then left to ourselves for way to much time. I'm used to servers coming to my table quite promptly after being seated to introduce them self and offer something to drink. None of this happened. In fact, no one came by our table at all for 10 minutes. After ordering, we didn't see much of our waiter. We quickly finished our glasses of water but no one came to offer more. Several waiters and other staff walked by, looked at our empty glasses, and continued on. At one point, we even had to ask the manager for water as he was the only one that stopped by our table. At one point, a man was offering bread from a huge tray to the tables around us but did not offer it to us. We had to ask someone else if we could also have some bread. Our appetizer arrived quickly, and we quickly finished. However, I cannot say the same about our main course. All in all, it took an hour for our main course to arrive. At one point, we were told the manager was checking on our food, but still needed up waiting 20 minutes more for it. No one other than the manager ever checked in on us. In the end, we had to wait too long for our food and no one was attentive to our needs. Food: despite the awful service, the food was very good. Our appetizer was a tuna tartar, we enjoyed it. Although we have had better tuna tartars, the fish was fresh. I would recommend some more spice. Our main course was the warm shrimp salad. We really enjoyed this salad. The ingredients were fresh and paired very well together. The dressing was incredible and so was the sauce that was on the shrimp. It was honestly a great salad. For desert we had creme brûlée. This was also good, a standard one but very tasty. The free bread could be much fresher. All in all, we really did enjoy our meal but would not come back or recommend it to a friend. The wait and lack of service is not worth the food. Honestly, we would probably have been finished quicker had we waited for a table at one of the other restaurants (and they have great food and great service). We understand that sometimes restaurants can become busy and longer waits for food can be unavoidable, but the restaurant was not even full and the staff was unapologetic. Skip the hassle of this restaurant and try the other great ones located in the same mall! read more

Outstanding ! Loved this restaurant !!! In the Bal Harbour Shops Mall - outdoor Mall - it's a gorgeous Mall and a gorgeous restaurant ! You feel like you're in Paris in this restaurant, everything is perfect. The food was delicious and really fresh, you can see the Fish Bar with the fresh Lobsters and Oysters etc. in main dining room, the food was outstanding from the bread basket to the exotic coffee, service great and attentive. Loved the Bar , cocktails were delicious and perfect. Loved sitting inside and love that they leave the French Doors open - Miami ocean breeze coming in, (i hate all that AC in Florida buildings). We went on a friday night after 9pm no wait. i want to go back right now !!!! A special place - they got everything right ! read more

PROPER: food, service, atmosphere. Every bite was heavenly. Remus was an amazing server. He even made the effort to ask me if I have any food allergies the chef should be aware of. Perfect timing with everything. They didn't miss a beat. My friend ordered the filet and he is really picky about how it's done. They got it right on. I felt the vibe from the server and runners that it was their pleasure to serve us, which really stands out to me. read more

Stopped in to try this place after trying a couple of other restaurants in the Bal Harbour Shopping Mall across the street from the St. Regis hotel. The overall experience was, by far, the best out of all of the other restaurants I ate at in that mall (Carpaccio, The Grill). The server, L.A., was very nice and on point. She was able to answer all of our questions about the menu and the lobster cocktail she suggested was amazing. The lobster was so succulent and the 2 sauces were good for dipping. The drinks were the best I had the entire trip. I highly suggest the French Martini and my companion loved the Malbec. The bread was very tasty (better than typical) and they were generous with the refills! I had the pasta with spring vegetables, tomatoes and pine nuts, which was AMAZING! The sauce was very light but flavorful. I added shrimp to the dish, which only made it better because the shrimp were cooked just right. My companion had the chicken paillard, which came with mashed potatoes and haricot vests (string beans). It was phenomenal! Talk about comfort food! Too bad we were too stuffed to try the desserts. I HIGHLY recommend this place and definitely will be back! read more

Great place! Fresh oysters and amazing mussels, my favorite dish is the fish filet covered in almonds. Amazing

Delicious food. The cumber soup was amazing. The profiteroles wwere the best ive ever eaten. Will definitely return.

Yum, yum, yum! Le Zoo really hits it out of the ballpark with food, service, ambiance, and design. Le Zoo looks like a Parisian bistro that has been relocated to the Bal Harbour Shops. I visited during lunch with a coworker who has eaten at Le Zoo before and has said on multiple occasions that it's great. There is seating both inside and outside, but I voted to sit inside since it's summer in Miami and extremely hot. Our waiter was really nice, very accommodating, and made us feel comfortable (unfortunately, I don't remember his name). Now for the good part, the food. As an appetizer my coworker and I got the macaroni au gratin. This was seriously amazing. It was my favorite part of the meal. The macaroni is large shell shaped pasta that is doused in cheese with bread crumbs on top. I could probably eat this macaroni au gratin everyday for the rest of my life. It was that good! For my main dish I decided to get the quiche lorraine. The piece of quiche you are given is very big, very good, and very satisfying. Of course I ate the whole thing with no regrets. My coworker got the petit filet mignon and loved it. No complaints from him. We were too full to have dessert, so we ended the meal with an espresso. The meal and lunch was fantastic. We left happy, full, and satisfied. read more

I've eaten here 4 times and each time I left I said I would write a review and finally I am doing so. All I can say is Move over Carpaccio! Wow! Love this place. When a restaurant can cook even a well done steak and it still be so tender- top notch. I used to work in restaurants for 4 years so I notice everything and le zoo is a great new place to visit if you're in Bal Harbour. The managers always make it a point to pass by your tables which is great. If you're a seafood lover then you must check out their raw bar items. The cocktails and wines by the glass are also great. The mushroom tart is great to start and share. The bread is always so good that thy bring. But make sure you save room for dessert! The profiteroles are out of this world good and the creme brûlée is the best I've ever had. The staff are super friendly. 3 of the 4 times I've eaten there our server was Rob. Super funny and remember the way I like my food and always had myself and my friends laughing. The other wait staff are always smiling and ready to help as well. Amazing service all around! read more
