I wanted to get some of the specials specific to Leahi Health's Aina Haina location as well as take a look at Crumbl's newest store on Oahu...they are closed every Sunday. Got Da Aina Smoothie and Spicy Tofu Poke for takeaway. Wait time was fine. The latter was good with tofu and avocado over brown rice, topped with a mild spicy sauce. I have been a fan of this business this past year, however today (2/24 @ 1:30pm) and had a sub par experience regarding the food. I ordered two of my favorite menu items - (1) Thai Crunch Salad, (1) Bacon Mustard Taco and (1) Leahi Kid for my grand-daughter. Although the customer service was personable and friendly, it was the execution of food items that were very disappointing! Definitely recommend! I haven't come in over a year but decided to try them out recently. I came in on a Friday and got a free green health shot of some kind which I thought was really cool. I ordered the Baja bowl. Which was absolutely delicious. Before the kale was cut thickly and was kind of hard to chew. But they have since started to thinly slice the kale and cabbage slaw which made me so much happier. They have also changed their packaging containers to ones with actual lids instead of paper bowls with tin foil. Friendly staff and you can eat right outside of the store. Public bathrooms are also right outside you just need the code. Tucked behind pieology. Lots of smoothie and green juice options. Everything is vegetarian so there is no meat of any kind. First time at Leah's health, for sure we will be back!! Nice to know that they are open till 5:00 on a Sunday. My husband had the Thai crunch salad which was very tasty it was filling and he would probably order it again. I had the Bacon mustard bowl and the combination was amazing, so flavorful!! I never enjoyed Kale that much, the coconut bacon was delicious it just added the punch a salad needs!! We are super curious about the beet poke bowl and want to try that next along with the tacos!! My friend and I came to the This location because there was more seating outside compared to Kaimuki. We both had lunch here after our marathon clinic training. She had the Kale Avocado tacos and I had the Baja Bowl and I added the protein style which is tofu, chia seeds, hemp, and flax. The toasted coconut flakes were so delicious. I like their hummus you can tell they make it from scratch. I really loved the Baja bowl and would get it again. We both enjoyed our meals. I would say the bowls are a better deal. Leahi Health has been a great go-to for us for a couple of years. We normally make the drive out to the Aina Haina location 1-2 times a week for a bowl, tacos and a couple of smoothies. We've found great pleasure in the smoothies from that particular location. Our favorites have been the Deep Green and the Coffee Monster. About two months ago the consistency that we found in the smoothies from that location started to suffer. Yesterday, April 25 we had the poorest experience ever with this company with this company we had treasured. The orders of the bowl and tacos were great as usual. Unfortunately, the Deep Green smoothie was almost tasteless - just full of ice and what seemed to be a fiber of some sort. It was a poor experience. Our experience with the Coffee Monster smoothie was even worse. It was so unpalatable that we threw most of it away - couldn't stand to finish it. It was awful. It is a sad time for us. Guess we will explore other places. Or maybe the Kaimuki or Manoa locations again. Not sure how to properly rate this. Would have given it 5 stars for two years. Will now give it 1 star with the hope that the owners will wake up to the fact that their consistency has plummeted - with negative consequences. Hoping for the best. read more

It was really hard to find all vegan/vegetarian food around Waianea where we were staying for our vacation. We found this place and made a day of it visiting the beach/park down the road. All the tacos are delicious and made with pita bread so they don't fall apart with the delicious filling inside! We each tried a different plate and they were all terrific. I couldn't finish mine, but ate the rest for breakfast! I wish we had been closer, we definitely recommend if you want fresh and healthy meals for your family. Order inside and then wait outside and they'll bring you your order outside. I tried to Brazilian smoothie and it was ok; a little odd to have the granola IN the smoothie itself, sort of gets stuck in your throat. Now, I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy food, but the hot sauce wasn't too spicy at all.. it just gave the dish a little kick. The avocado was fresh and creamy and went well with the soft naan bread and flavorful kale. However, after the avocado was done and I was left with a whole bunch of kale, the kale's bitterness got to me and I couldn't finish it lol DEEP GREEN SMOOTHIE: if you like your smoothies really sweet, this drink is not for you. Decided to come here to support a local business in the neighborhood because I wanted some good acai. They are in the Aina Haina Shopping Center, tucked away between Pieology and Mama Pho. So yes, this time I ordered the Ala Moana Acai cup. It was good. Pretty basic with the toppings - agave, banana, pineapple, blueberries, granola, and chia (and some kind of other) seeds. The fruits were fresh and the granola was crunchy. Acai was okay. (I did come here quite awhile ago and got one of their smoothies and I remember it being good. I just forgot what I ordered and exactly how "good" it was. I just remember it being tasty but a little pricey.) Price was $10 for the Ala Moana cup. Maybe I'm just being picky but I felt like for what I got, it was not worth that price. I have gotten other acai bowls for about the same price with better toppings and a little more generosity of the bowl/cup overall. This is the second time I've been here and I will mention the customer service isn't the greatest. Not sure what it is but the workers aren't very helpful and not the friendliest. I mean, I'm not looking to be best of friends but friendliness, informativeness, and a smile are what I appreciate when patronizing a business. They have good fruit smoothies and the acai was okay. The tacos are great (more like pita as opposed to a taco). The Surfer is probably my favorite. All of the tacos I've had come with the same base filling (the kale in cilantro lime dressing). But the toppings are different and they all work. So refreshing and light, but filling. Two tacos is plenty for me, which says a lot. The smoothie was so delicious kale and spirulina made it such a dark green color. It tasted like apples, slightly sweet and refreshing. I opened my tacos and oh boy. 2 kale with a spicy dressing, cherry tomatoes and avocado stuffed into a pita bread topped with almonds to add more crunch! It was so flavorful and very hearty. Im so, so sad... I loved Leahi Health and usually get my fave tacos and bowls a few times each month. The quality of my orders from the Aina Haina Location has really deteriorated over the last several months. I've decided to stop going there now because of my last experience a few weeks ago. I ordered the Mock Tuna Tacos, gluten free - that means they make the tacos with corn tortillas. I was thrilled that they started to use Raiz tortillas, but this time it did not look like it was Raiz. In fact the tortilla was stiff and dried out to the point that I couldn't even bite through the taco. I was so disappointed because I was so hungry and hoped to get a quick lunch on a busy work day. I would have gone straight back and return it but I was too busy with work that day. So I saved the tacos and brought it back the next day. Only two small bites were taken from one of 2 tacos so I brougjt back essentially a whole order. The person I talked with took the tacos back and I asked for a refund. The person said they'd credit my Clover account...but to this day - no credit . This was the worst meal I have ever had at any casual dining place. Worse, I was left hungry on a busy day and was let down after looking forward to a yummy, healthy lunch. Over the last few months I've noticed that the quality of the food here has really gone down. Food portion size is large enough to share, the food was fresh and full filling. I especially enjoyed my cinnamon toast smoothie. The food always awesome, especially at the Kaimuki location it really is done so well. I've gone to the one in Manoa and was a little let down by the service. BUT i will always come to the Kaimuki location. The service is always amazing, the workers are so kind and helpful. The food taste amazing, with so many different options. The smoothie I had was the morning mana, I like my smoothies to be very thick and today it was perfect. I have gotten a smoothie here and it was a lil icy so I've been hesitant to try again. I only get one thing here because it's the only dish I've tried - their bacon mustard bowl. It's HUGE! The coconut bacon is to die for. The combination of ingredients is just right, and my taste buds experience an orgasm of healthy goodness - even with the kale (which I was initially skeptical about). I'd recommend getting a fork to eat this because chopsticks would be tricky. I have two pics from two different visits, and have gone more times than this, to show you that the portions are consistent. The first time I had the coconut bacon, it was chunkier though (pic with the aluminum foil) and so the flavors were much better balanced. I tried a drink here too, I think it had coffee. It was okay. Many options (see menu), my favorites are the Deep Green smoothie and Tuna (mock) Tacos. I've also had the Surfer Bowl which is great. Service comes with a smile, the only gripe that I'll mention is that I really wish that they were open for more extended hours. They're only open during 8 am - 5 pm Monday through Friday and 10 am - 3 pm on Sunday, so no dinners and must plan accordingly on Sundays which I think would ordinarily be a very busy day for them. read more
