The contract is full of penalties for the customer if we are not at home when they deliver. They promised delivery on the 11th. It's now the 24th, and no one has called us, no updates, no explanation. It seems they can delay as long as they want and break their commitments, while we are expected to sit at home and wait for weeks. On top of that, if we leave and miss their random delivery attempt, we risk getting fined - even though they already missed their promised date by two weeks. This is unacceptable. Payment should only be collected upon delivery, not in advance for this "great" furniture shop ! Never again with this store, and I would not recommend it to anyone !!!

However, "Taylor" did not return my call. I then stopped by their location in Skokie. They had the chair. The sign said $1650 was the price. But when the salesman rang it up, the price had jumped to $1730. A supervisor I called at the corporate level could not explain the difference. Then a customer service woman called me to say they quoted a chair with lumbar support. I did not ask for this extra feature. I was not told the sale was being rung up with the add on. I could not get the store to see what the problem was here. So I will not be buying from Penny Mustard. If you are buying there, double-check the posted price versus what is rung up. Something is definitely off with their selling practices In my opinion.

Their customer service was excellent, and the furniture was high-quality and reasonably priced. To make matters even better, their delivery and setup were awesome. I was so pleased that I never forgot the experience--in fact, I still have the bedroom set and bookcases I purchased back then! Fast-forward to August 2026: now living in Wisconsin, I recently purchased a condo and needed a dining room table and chairs. I looked locally, but all I could think about was Dania. This company sells absolute trash furniture. I bought two…read morepower recliners sofas from this company in January of this year. Each sofa has two recliners for a total of 4. Paid over $4k. Not even three months later, a recliner completely stops working. The power switch still showed red (getting power), but switch not working. Technician comes out- says power supply is good but switch went back. Replacement parts expected to take about 3 months. 2.5 months later, a second recliner goes out, this time while up so it can't even go back down. Original tech told me he was going to order 4 replacement switches and replace all of them. When I called to open claim on second recliner going bad, was told the initial tech only ordered 1. So now I'm out two recliners, who knows when the replacement parts will come in for first issue and I'll have to wait another several months to have second fixed. These are obviously faulty couches and they won't give me a refund. Quite literally the only reason I got these couches was to have the reclining functionality. Do not do business with this company. They don't sell quality products and fixed take forever. I'll be forming a claim with BBB and disputing with my credit card company.

My husband and I purchased a leather couch from Leather Creations in 2008. This purchase happened after we returned home from our honeymoon in Hawaii. We brought along a bag of sand from Maui where we got married because we wanted to be reminded of the beach where we said our vows & wanted our home to have that aloha spirit warm vibe. The wall behind the couch was being painted the color of the ocean. Well, they matched our bag of sand perfectly to an Italian leather color swatch that no longer existed but they had just enough to create our couch and ottoman. Well, it's been 14 years and our marriage and the couch are still going strong. This couch is super comfy, so much so...that we should have replaced the padding in it quite awhile ago and didn't notice. It is recommended that you replace them at a certain year of use, but definitely exceeded that recommendation. It has a little creakiness sometimes in a small section due to people falling asleep so easily when laying down to watch TV. But guess what...Leather Creations takes care of that for free for the life of your purchase. You can't beat that! My father-in-law, God rest his soul, sat in the same spot every time he came over and fell asleep within minutes, sometimes in mid conversation. ;o) He once told me that it was more comfortable than his chair at home. That, my friends was a ringing endorsement, for sure! I loved that he felt that comfortable in our home and the memory of him sitting there looking so at peace warms my heart. Leather Creations has everything to do with that extremely wonderful memory that I have of my father-in-law visiting us. I want people to feel even better than "at home" when they enter our house. I want them to feel like they are on a mini vacation and staying at an expensive rental home in Hawaii with all the top of the line creature comforts. Of course, we are due for new padding to refresh it and will be doing so to make sure that it is at the top comfort level that it can be. I know that I have used the words comfort, comfy and comfortable so many times in this review. It probably seems like I have a lack of adventure when it comes to my vernacular but I can think of no better words to describe the feeling EVERYONE has when they plant their tushies on the best purchase we have ever made that makes our guests relax the minute they sit down. It automatically makes new guests family and keeps family wanting every game night, movie night and party to be in our home. The amazing sand matching Wade sold us our couch back then and the equally great Manager Darrin has been so very helpful to make sure that the couch can have some minor touch ups to be restored to an almost new status. Most companies would try to push a new expensive purchase of a lesser quality piece of furniture and lose a customer because of it. Darrin backed their high quality product and planned with me how to make it like new again at very little cost to us. We have recommended Leather Creations to so many people and their furniture speaks for itself. It's nice, refreshing actually, that they see the long game, the big picture. Create quality at reasonable prices and stand behind it. I would never go anywhere else for a "Leather Creation" - I would have to be a fool! And because my mother didn't raise any fools and Darrin didn't push an unnecessary sale, we are planning to purchase a leather sleeper sofa from them for our office. My first Leather Creations purchase was in 2005 the salesman at the time told me that I'm not buying furniture I'm buying an heirloom, truer words have not been spoken. 14 years later the couch was used and used A LOT day in and day out it's now sitting in my living room and no the leather of foam cushions didn't last forever it was subjected to extremely heavy use so the foam rubber was crushed down and the leather was worn looking no rips or tears but 14 years of wear from extreme repetitive day in and day out use, not the wear that'd you'd expect from a lesser leather couch from a local furniture store like rips and tears. 2 years ago I wanted to "test" this heirloom philosophy that was mentioned to me 14 years ago I called Leather Creations and spoke to Wade (a genuine pro) to see how I could replace my foam cushions on my couch, I was expecting him to refer me to a third party who could provide me with "close enough" replacement foam instead he asked me my name and all my 12 year old information was right in front of him and the furniture details from 12 years prior and there is no problem with making replacement brand new foam inserts for my old furniture he even had a service available to deliver and install my new custom made replacement foam inserts. This past May I began a complete indoor redo, no questions about my couches Leather Creations and again I spoke with Wade which to me is rare to contact a retail store a few years later and they're still working there a rare experience. I purchased 2 new couches and more options were available now although to me they were identical to my 14 year old furniture well now they have a deep seating cushions a heavy use grade leather much more ability to customize my new couches. Good furniture is not inexpensive but replacing inexpensive furniture 2 or 3 times over the same period of time actually costs more then an one time furniture purchase from Leather Creations and 15 years from now you can use the heck out of it and a phone call gets your old tired furniture totally reconditioned with all new cushions and identical colored leather my new couches are performing as expected and my reconditioned furniture looks like the day I bought it and is in my living room good as new. Yesterday I wanted to buy an additional piece and yes Wade was still there and he gave me the sale price for a sake that just concluded and in about 6 weeks my new piece will arrive. But buyer beware good no excellently crafted furniture seems expensive and it is but 14 years later you'll continue to own the same high quality furniture instead of 2 or 3 other replacement furniture so over time it's actually cheaper to buy quality and quality custom made furniture takes time to build so don't expect buying furniture on a Sunday and having it delivered in the following Thursday, won't happen quality craftsmanship takes time to create. I am writing to share our experience in dealing with Darin at Leather Creations in Deerfield. We bought three pieces of furniture, a couch, an oversize chair, and an ottoman. We selected a leather that was an earth tone brown in color but looked as though it was bathed in dappled sunlight. The color is beautiful and seems to adapt to the light in the room, whether it bright and sunny, or dimly lit in the evening. The process of making our purchase was very easy. After we selected the style, and leather, of the furniture we were interested in we made a down payment. Several weeks were necessary for our pieces to be manufactured, and when it was completed we were given a delivery date. Upon delivery we were very happy with our choices. The leather is soft and supple and the color is beautiful. We were completely satisfied and happy with our selection. This would be the end of a happy story, but after a couple of years I noticed a tiny protrusion pushing up from under one of the cushions. I telephoned the store and asked how I should proceed in addressing my concern. After emailing some pictures, arrangements were made for repair personnel to come to my home to effect a repair of one of the suspension springs. A small clip had come loose, so the spring was starting push up through the fabric beneath the cushion. This small problem in no way impacts my level contentment with my furniture. In fact if anything, it further reinforced my decision to have worked with Leather Creations. In my mind service after the sale is equally important to price, selection, and perceived value. As a further indication of my contentment with this company fairly recently we decided to make another purchase of a leather couch for our living room. We are so happy with our purchase from Leather Creations in Deerfield. We purchased a sofa and chair in a dark gray. The leather is amazing to the touch, and so soft and comfortable. Our entire experience at the store was flawless. Wade was our consultant and answered all our questions and provided all the information to make an informed purchase. It was clear Wade was passionate about the American made quality of their products, but was not pushy or intrusive when we (my husband and I) wanted to discuss price/features/accessories. He was also clear about the time frame for the furniture to be made, delivery and maintenance. He was very honest and didn't white-wash anything in the buying process. The delivery company they use is M & B delivery services out of Broadview, IL. The delivery was efficient and the two that were on the truck that day were professional and expedient without rushing. We purchased two items from Leather Creations in Deerfield 10-12 years ago - an L-shaped sectional for our family room and a regular 3-seat couch for our living room. Both items still look amazing due to the high quality craftmanship and the outstanding quality of the leather. It's not easy to find full-grain leather couches nowadays, so the store prices are on the higher end, but you get what you pay for. One of the couches we bought was a floor sample, so the pricing was great for that one. When we were ordering the sectional, all the sale associates were extremely helpful and patient with us, as we did take time to figure out our needs. They gave us several leather samples to take home so that we could decide which color would work better with our floors and walls. Also, it's fantastic that they give a life time warranty on their products, so one doesn't have to worry about expensive repairs. July 17, 2023 Leather Creations Deerfield Three years ago, my husband and I were looking for a quality leather couch/sofa for our family room. Living in Deerfield, we had purchased a leather sofa from another business, which has since closed. We decided to give Leather Creations a look! Walking into their facility was fascinating, Full of styles, types of leather, structure choices for how my sofa would be created! We selected the top-of-the-line design for durability and I can say the last three years have been wonderful. If we need any more stuffing or cleaner/protector - I just walk in and have it refilled. We also bought two chairs matching our sofa which are also wonderful - design and comfort. I can say, Leather Creations has wonderful designs, choices of leather or fabric, and services. We bought our first sectional from Leather Creations 12 years ago and decided to remodel the family room which needed a new sectional. We thought we wanted something different and purchased a section from another company. When the sectional was delivered it looked nothing like the one we ordered. Based on this we returned the sectional from the other store and went to see Darin at the Deerfield store. Darin was excellent to work with and the new sectional was delivered last week. I purchased a black leather Corinth sectional in 2005. This couch is in the main room of our house and is well-used. It's still in excellent shape. A few weeks ago, I thought part of it was sagging slightly. When my husband and I identified the issue, we called Leather Creations and asked if they could order a few springs and clips to fix the problem. They did. We repaired the sectional and it's perfect again. I stand by Leather Creation's quality and customer service. We have been so happy with our product. We purchased 2 recliners and a reclining sofa in 2010. It's the best furniture we have ever owned. Durable and attractive. We ran out of our cleaner and conditioner and since we don't live nearby we didn't have a chance to get refills within the 5 year period covered by the accidental protection plan. We visited them this past weekend and Jerry graciously gave us more and some extra fiberfill. Prior to our visit, Wade had called us in response to and email and gave us some advice about rotating a cushion. I definitely recommend their furniture. There is something to be said when dealing with a local, neighborhood store where the consumer is educated about the merchandise, but not pressured to make a purchase. This is our third purchase from Leather Creations. Our first purchase was over twenty years ago. We loved the service and absolutely loved our chairs and sofa. We purchased a sofa right before covid and Dennis was an amazing help with picking out all of the features and even picking a leather that would be durable for dogs. I recently purchased two chairs from Dennis. Again, he was a help with the leather, finding me the best deal and was very patient with me. Customer service is first class! I purchased a custom leather couch back in 2010. After 9 years of use the couch is still in beautiful condition although one of the cables for the recliner had snapped. I made a phone call and explained what happened and they told me no problem and they mailed me a new part right away. I live in Florida now and took the couch with me. The leather looks as beautiful as the day I bought it even though my Jack Russell Terrier thinks it's her couch. I was worried at first that her nails would puncture a leather, but it did not. I shopped around a lot before finally taking the plunge and purchasing a leather sectional here. The two salespeople we worked with (Darrin and Wade) were great. They weren't pushy, but were informative and understood what we wanted. Many other places we looked did not offer the quality found at Leather Creations. The sectional was delivered on time and in perfect condition. We have had it only a little less than two weeks, but so far so good. I bought my leather couch 10 years ago and I have to say it has really held up well. We selected a mid-grade leather sectional. It sits in almost full sun. Has an active boy always jumping over the arm or bouncing on the cushions. We also have 2 boxers that we allow on the couch periodically. There has been no damage to the couch. The color is still deep and rich. Still very comfortable. The sales process was very friendly. We took a few leather swatches home to "test" the color in our living room since it has a lot of light. We purchased our leather sectional at Leather Creations in Deerfield from Darrin. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the products. We were replacing an existing leather sectional and the explanation about the different leathers, stuffing options and sizes made it so easy to decide which was the best sectional to fit our needs. I was a little disappointed with the delivery company that they use but we are so thrilled with the new sectional! It is beautiful, comfortable and really gives the room a whole new look! We bought a sofa, loveseat and a recliner 8 years ago from Leather Creations in Deerfield. They have all held up well, look like brand new. Their products are high quality and made in the USA. Had to restuff some back pillows and when I called, Wade told me the stuffing is free just to come in and he was gracious and helpful in doing the stuffing for me. It is really nice to get some old fashion service which doesn't happen very much these days. I highly recommend this high quality furniture and the excellent service that Wade provided us with at Leather Creations in Deerfield. read more

The brand she recommended was sold at only one place in the Chicago area and I was incredibly lucky that the retailer happened to be Applied Ergonomics. I made an appointment with Jeff, the owner, who was absolutely amazing. He helped me find the perfect chair and I can't say enough good things about my experience. Although it is obviously more lucrative for Jeff to work with customers who are outfitting an entire office rather than buying just one chair, he made me feel welcome and spent a great deal of time having me try out different brands and models to make sure I got something that was very comfortable and supportive. My daughter, who was with me, was so impressed with Jeff's knowledge that she too decided to get fitted for a chair and also purchased an adjustable stand-up desk. Jeff's help didn't stop with the fitting. My daughter lives in LA and he spent a lot of time finding the most cost-effective way to have her desk and chair shipped from overseas to LA and delivered by a service where she could schedule a date and time that was convenient for her. My daughter and I were amazed how friendly and accommodating Jeff was. We would highly recommend Applied Ergonomics to anyone looking for higher-end chairs and desks and the service to match.

Jeff is an absolute pleasure to work with. Thorough and knowledgeable, he helped us well beyond buying and installing the furniture. Ergonomic details, color and fabric schemes, overall flow and practical layout-related issues were all thoroughly vetted and addressed with the assistance of Jeff's experience and professionalism. The construction phase of the project took on a life of its own due to unforeseen subcontractor delays, but that just gave me more time to look forward to the finished product. Even with that buildup in anticipation, Jeff and his team fully exceeded all expectations. The project looks outstanding. We are extremely happy and we have Jeff and his team to thank. This was our first project together, but it will be the first of many to come. Highly recommended!

We decided to completely strip the wood to reveal the natural wood grain, re-glued, and reupholstered both pieces.
