This is the best place for Lechon around Union City, Hayward, San Leandro. Just have to order 3 weeks in advance cause they have a lot of orders ( you don't have to pay for the Lechon right away, just have to place your order in advance). And the servers are polite. The Lechon is big, there is a lot of meat and the price is reasonable. Call them before you go cause they close before 5pm at times, I think. Will always order Lechon from them. They have a party package with the Lechon with other dishes and it is very reasonable, and of course the food is delish.

Got a large pig for my 60th birthday party. The meat fell off the bones and the sauce they give you is out of this world! Thank you for a great meal!

If you are ever looking for some quality Filipino food, this is the place for you. I had stopped here on my lunch break after hearing how good their roast pork was. I ended up ordering the 2 entree combo which was less than 13 dollars and I couldn't be believe it! Talk about a bargain! The roast pork was extremely crispy on the outside while remaining juicy on the inside. The rice had a good flavor and tasted fresh. The sleeper item in the whole meal for me was the brown sauce. I am very familiar with Filipino cuisine so I am not quite sure what was in it but it was delicious! It elevated the pork and provided a nice balance to all of the other flavors! I hear on weekend they have their roast pork that they make over charcoal, so i will definitely need to return to try that!

Stay away!!! Buyer beware! We ordered a full lechon and it was hollow!!! There was no meat!!! The skin was burnt, dry, and bitter!!! We called and they didn't offer a refund! There are better places to get your lechon! We gave them a try because the place we normally order from is closed for renovation!

We ordered a whole lechon for a party, and it was a huge hit. Everyone raved about the crispy skin and flavorful meat. It was still hot and juicy when we served it. We're very thankful for the delivery man, he really waited for us before he delivered to the event. Kudos to all of you guys! You did it again! Congratulations! Cheers

Come here if you want to satisfy your lechon craving. A combo with 2 sides and rice cost about $10. Lechon over rice is $11. Think of them like Filipino Panda Express where you can pick out your sides and have it with rice. They also have a generous box of pancit and palabok! I'll be trying that next time.

I love coming to lechon manila simply for one of their offerings: roast lechon. Growing up eating roast lechon at parties, I always hit a bit of a craving for the crispy skin that kawali just doesn't hit the spot for--and lechon manila is one of the only spots I know of that will sell roast lechon by the pound. For just 2 people, buying a whole roast pig just isn't a financially sound investment, so coming here is a great choice. Lechon Manila is located directly next to SK donut in the Alvarado Place strip mall. (I always find myself ordering a dozen cronut holes as a reward for making the trip out here). Its very easy to find parking, since the shared parking lot is huge and usually not packed. Upon entering, you'll find a pretty traditional cafeteria-style restaurant, as most surrounding Filipino restaurants are organized. Lines vary by time of day, usually around 10-11AM the line will be out the door, later in the day -- when most of the dishes are beginning to run low the lines are shorter. You'll want to come early if you want really crispy and juicy roast lechon. Be sure to eat it quickly, because lechon does tend to get a bit hard and chewy if it gets cold/steams up. Roast Lechon: This is my favorite dish here, and one of the sole reasons I come to the restaurant. Most of the time, when I order 3-4LB trays of lechon I'd say 85% of the skin is crispy like a potato chip, and the rest is really crunchy, like chicharon. If you come later in the day, you may get a bit of the harder crunchy skin -- just be sure to come early! Sisig: This is one of those dishes that thrives really great at lechon restaurants. I love sisig when its super crispy and packed with tangy/spicy flavors. Definitely a dish you won't want to miss from here.

There's a a generous amount of meat and it's always so tender. I would love if they made it a little more sour but that's my personal preference. The protein might be different depending on the day but they've all been good. The place is tiny, maybe like 10 chairs so you might have to wait at prime times. Service is friendly. A couple times they've told me to pick up to go orders at a certain time but I had to wait an additional 15-20min after arriving but not too big of a deal.

All other options I found to be rather mediocre and not worth getting again. Perhaps they were short-staffed when we arrived but it was hard to find a server to request anything. They were all in the back and only came out to bring out the food. We waited too long to ask for containers or the check. 20% gratuity was automatically applied and the total came out to almost $500. The meal wouldn't have been very enjoyable if not for the company so I don't think this was worth it. I may consider coming back just for the sisig.

Luckily when I went this weekend, it wasn't busy and we had a lot of grill space to cook our food quickly. Was impressed by the chicken isaw! It wasn't bitter so you know it was clean. I'm gonna check with my NorCal moots about this but sucks if that's true. I was going to comment on how this is one of few bastions of affordable, slightly more unique food in the bay area, but I guess that's not the case. I'm spoiled by having a Dollar Hits in SoCal literally down the street from me so I can't say this place compares, but it's at least an option for NorCal, you know? This definitely used to be another restaurant, but then retrofitted to be a grill. Super large grill in the middle for everyone to communally cook at indoors. This is a good combination between the outdoors grill it yourself and the indoors seating of both the SoCal Dollar Hits, so I thought that was nice. They have all the classics here, isaw (sometimes Dollar Hits doesn't have this unless you request -it's chicken intestines), large intestines, chicken skin, kwek kwek (battered quail eggs), and Tender Juicy bright red filipino hot dogs (a must). You can also order a side of rice and the sauces were self serve (made it a bit sticky). It gets a bit smoky in there even with the fans, but overall had an enjoyable time the time when I did visit.

They almost never answer the phone so it's best to just go in person and order for pick up. Just expect to wait a bit if you're going during the busier times of the days that they're open. It had been about a year since I last visited, and I was glad to see that prices hadn't changed at all. The highlight here for me has always been their lumpia--or at least, it used to be. It was once fried to golden perfection, with just the right amount of loose wrapper that gave extra-crispy edges (if you know, you know). Looking back at older photos, the lumpia had a noticeably deeper golden-brown hue compared to the lighter version I received this time, as well as seemed a bit longer in size. This made me sad; but it was still good, just no longer exceptional. In addition, the broasted chicken has always been just decent; the skin is great but the meat on the inside is always a bit dry and definitely requires some gravy or sauce to dip it in. Despite the lumpia switch-up, prices are still unbeatable for the bay, so I'd come back. I did notice that they seemed to have a new cook in the back, so here's to hoping that next time, the lumpia reverts back to the way it was!
