Our server was really great. My soda came out flat and she replaced it and fixed the problem. My drink was never more than half empty. Our pizza came out fast and great. My family has a tradition of eating pizza here whenever we're together. Since we moved from Maryland in 1998 (where the restaurant started) even to this day, they offer our favorite pizza around. I ordered the small, personal size pizza and could not finish it all. Pizza is very delicious, hot and fresh. Excellent pizza. Wouldn't recommend calzones. They are kind of dry and very little cheese so the filing is loose and just falls out. And the calzone crust is the same as the pizza. The crispy, delicious pizza crust just doesn't work for the calzone. I wish they would tidy up though. I almost tripped on several mats lying near the tables and there was a vacuum cleaner and unsecured whiteboard on the floor near the tables. The decor can use a face lift and I would start by removing the hazards as described. Unique is nice but sloppy is another thing. Just tried Ledo pizza tonight for the first time and it was AMAZING. Crust is light and tasty. Sauce is delicious. Pepperoni was thick and great. Service was awesome. I have nothing negative to say. I was surprised to discover that Ledo Pizza has numerous locations in the northeast. I had never heard of it before. I'm always up for having more pizza so I was looking forward to trying this place when I learned that they had a Tampa location. The restaurant is located in a strip mall on Dale Mabry and has lots of seating. The woman who helped us was very friendly and did a good job explaining the menu. I wanted pizza so there was no doubt what I was getting. The pizza was a good deal for the price. It was six dollars for an eight inch pie. When the pizza came out I was quite surprised by it. I'd never seen crust like that on a pizza before. It is extremely thin and curves upwards on the edges (if that even makes any sense). While I thought that it was good would I say that it was better than a New York style thin crust pizza? No way. I'd be more interested in getting an entree than pizza again on a return trip. read more

Is Ledo's pizza the shi# or what? I grew up in Maryland near the original location in Hyattsville or Adelphi (not sure which this was in) and I am addicted to this pizza. While it is not for those who want to compare it to traditional pizza, if you want something original and delicious this is the place. I live in South Florida now and sadly our only Florida location is this one in Tampa, but whenever I get to Tampa I make a beeline for Ledo's. The crust is flaky like a pie crust , the sauce is sweet, and the cheese is smoky provelone. When the three combine it is pure ecstasy. Great salads too. I wish someone would open a Ledo's in South Florida. Whenever I visit a Ledo's I buy an additional large to freeze and bring home. My absolute favorite; I'm obsessed! read more

My wife's family comes from MD and Ledo is very popular up there. I have found a Ledo Pizza in other cities I've lived (i.e. Atlanta and Orlando) but they don't seem to last. This location in Tampa has been there awhile and I'm glad it is thriving. They do a great job with the pizza here. I believe this is known as St. Louis style pizza (perhaps?) so it may be different from what you're used to and that could be good or bad. Personally, I love it. Thin crust, tangy sauce, provolone cheese, thick pepperoni. I get it several times whenever I visit Tampa or MD. Give it a shot and there's a good chance you'll love it, too. read more

Great place for the kids after a game, on a Friday night when you don't feel like cooking or couples who want a casual meal. We hadn't been here in a while but my stepson was in town for the fair.. From FSU with his girl friend and his sister (who is flying from our nest in 2 weeks) so we took the gang here. The owner recognized us and gave us a warm greeting and let is choose a large table for the 5 of us. We started off with the new fried ravioli with jalapeños and even I liked them! We also had the mozzarella sticks. I've never met a mozzarella stick I didn't like. Lol. We ordered a large pizza with meatballs and a smaller one with mushrooms. I am a huge fan of meatballs so I loved that pizza. Just so you know.. Ledo's pizza is a thin crust pizza served on trays. I believe this style became popular in Baltimore.
