So I normally enjoy Grillsmith but the last few visits have not been good for me. I ordered the wings the last two visits and both times asked for my wings to be extra crispy and both times I got soggy (not extra crispy) wings. I'm also upset they changed the crab cake recipe and now only offer a fried crab cake. The previous one was pan seared and delicious not sure why this wasn't left on the menu. I do enjoy a rotating menu but hate when stuff is taken off the menu that is good! Service is always great at this location and I highly recommend visiting on a Wednesday when it is all day happy hr! My wings were disappointing but at least they were not full price.

Came in with family in celebration of hubs birthday. Seated quickly and service was good. Friendly staff. Server was quite busy managing several tables so a bit slow but he was attentive and checked on us every time he passed by. I got the bourbon salmon salad which was absolutely delicious. Hubs got the meatloaf which feedback was that the sauce was too sweet. Mother in law got the grouper tacos and she loved them. Father in law got the steak and he thought was delicious.

I've been to Grillsmith more times than I can count, and it never disappoints. When I'm flying solo, I usually head straight for the bar--always a good vibe and plenty of space. There's a side entrance tucked away on the quieter side of the parking lot that feels like my own secret way in. It's always open, always welcoming. Service is consistently friendly and fast. Tonight, Bobby was holding it down behind the bar--great energy, super attentive. I went with the Voodoo Shrimp this time, skipping the complimentary breadsticks (which are solid, but the shrimp come with toasted garlic crostinis). If you're looking for recommendations, the blackened wings or the Bourbon Salmon Salad are both staples for me. Past visits have also delivered big with the Lemon Feta Chicken, the Grillsmith burger and of course their killer pork chops. Chef really knows how to balance flavor and presentation. Grillsmith keeps things reliable, approachable, and just upscale enough to feel like a treat without being too formal. Solid choice for any night.

I recently visited Grillsmith in Carrollwood, and the experience exceeded every expectation. The fall handcrafted cocktails were a standout from the moment they hit the table, the Maple Pecan Old Fashioned, Sparkling Spiced Pear, and Marshmallow Martini each brought a unique seasonal twist that was both creative and exceptionally well balanced. The appetizers set the tone for the rest of the meal, especially the filet eggrolls, Voodoo Shrimp, and Maryland-style blue crabcakes, all of which were executed with impressive flavor and consistency. For my entrée, the Skirt Steak Chimichurri with mashed potatoes and green beans delivered that perfect blend of comfort and refinement, making it one of the most memorable dishes of the evening. I ended the meal with the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake and Key Lime Pie, both beautifully prepared and the ideal finish to an already excellent dining experience. The quality of the food, the presentation, and the overall atmosphere made this visit genuinely outstanding, and I highly recommend stopping by the Carrollwood location to experience it for yourself. Service was top tier! Anthony was so amazing.

Dined here recently. Our server Pamela was amazing. We tried CocaCola Ribs with sautéed spinach and jasmine rice AND Bourbon salmon on a Caesar salad, both were delicious! For dessert, my friend ordered pineapple upside down, very yummy! Overall, great evening! Def will be back for more

Sucks to see the negative reviews. So here's an honest one that's positive. After a quick 10-minute wait on a busy Saturday night we were seated. Quick drink service. Tasty complimentary bread sticks. Ordered the port wine filet and the 16oz ribeye. Both steaks perfectly cooked to temp. Balsamic green beans were the chefs veg and tasty! The au gratin potatoes are definitely worth the $2.5 up charge as it was seriously creamy and delicious. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food was great. Definitely worthy of a great review and future dinner visits to come!

At first I wasn't going to make another review since I recently reviewed but I truly couldn't miss the opportunity to share this unique experience. As always the food was fantastic but surprisingly we had quite a few issues this dining experience. For instance, Our wings were not tossed in the sauce we asked and once the server brought our plate back out it looked as if they just poured the sauce on top vs tossing it. We also had some slight issues with our entrees and timeliness of our drinks but that's not why I am here. It's important that Grillsmith team knows while our experience started as a 2/3 star experience because of their hospitality our experience was completely turned around. I have to give a shoutout to Justin the manager here who ensured to make that happen, I felt valued by this business and its leadership . The mood did not change or the staff and Justin specifically came back twice to check in. I hope other restaurants take note that just because your costumer has a few issues during their experience, if you show them you value their time and money you can absolutely turn things for the better. The last thing a costumer should leave feeling is bad and while I have had that experience, never at Grillsmith. They treat costumer's like family. Of course we will be back!

Last minute Cinco de Mayo for a party of 8 and the restaurant really accommodated us. Great service, clean restaurant and staff was friendly. We all enjoyed our meals especially the $5 margaritas. Appetizers included wings and pretzel. Nice place to eat and drink!

This was my first time coming here! I drive past this restaurant all of the time but today I decided to try their happy hour. They have good specials that include food and beverages. Their seating is huge with a nice outdoor patio, inside bar area, and general dining area. For happy hour I got the sangria and the chicken Gorgonzola flatbread that hit the spot. Perfect for a light dinner and after work wind down. I will be back again.

A lot of people bring their children here and it makes sense that they're here early since children wake up early. They also have a really cute treasure box with prizes for the kids, so if I was here with my family, I probably would bump this up a star. However, I was here with my husband and our couple friend. The decor is beautiful. I love how bright and cheery all the decorations are. Parking can get difficult, it seems like they have just enough parking for the amount of people there. The food is what I found just OK. I got their yogurt bowl, which I guess I can't really expect to be wow'd by a yogurt bowl, but I found it to be fine. My options were limited since I don't eat pork and a majority of their meat is pork. They do have a chicken sausage, but looking at pictures. It looks like the casing may possibly be pork so I decided to avoid it just in case. I also got their cold brew, it didn't come with any cream or sweetener or anything to add. I probably should've asked for some, because I found the cold brew to just be OK. My husband got the chicken pot pie and said he expected more chicken in it. I think our overall feel of the food was it was fine, but not great. I won't run to come back here, but I also wouldn't be opposed to someone wanted to. I think that's the definition of three stars for me. Price is super reasonable, this meal will not break the bank.

I made a reservation, and went to Ybor to visit. It was easy to locate. I found inexpensive metered street parking. It was a short walk to the establishment. We arrived. We were immediately seated upon arrival. This place was a whole vibe! The best seating! Every section looked like VIP!! We were assisted by Jillianne who was professional, super sweet, and had all the details about the menu. Collectively, we ordered the following. Get Your Roll On (Jerk Chicken and more in an empanada) - Well plated, VERY tasty, fulfilling A la carte: Catfish & Braised Collard Greens - Seasoned amazingly, huge portion size, very good. The music was right on point!! We truly enjoyed ourselves. I'm so glad we visited this business. I highly recommend !!

Fair warning: this place has two personalities -- a restaurant side and a much louder dance-party side that share the same building. We opted for the restaurant side, which was surprisingly not busy despite the earliest reservation we could get being 7:30pm on a weeknight. The menu blends classic soul food (fried chicken, mac and cheese) with a strong New Orleans Creole influence -- gumbo, jambalaya, fried seafood, cornbread. Portions are enormous. We started with the deviled eggs ("D'Evils"), topped with fried chicken bites and lemon pepper dust -- excellent and surprisingly filling for just four halves. We also got the Nolia Clip, a vegan gumbo base loaded with fried shrimp, crabmeat, turkey sausage, and a full catfish filet -- essentially an entree-sized bowl on its own. For entrees, the fried chicken plate ("Let's Stay Together") was a standout -- moist chicken, crispy crust, great mac and cheese and collard greens, though the cornbread muffins were bland and watery-tasting. My jambalaya ("Burning Blues") turned out to be nearly identical in ingredients to the gumbo appetizer we'd already had, just a bit thicker and in a bigger portion -- worth knowing before you order both. We left with a full meal's worth of leftovers and zero room for dessert. Food quality was great across the board (minus the cornbread), and portions are a serious value. Service was the weak point -- slow to seat and slow table-side all night. Good pick if you're after soul food with Creole flair and don't mind a leisurely pace.

Delicious food with a lively atmosphere and welcoming staff - what more could you ask for?…read more I visited Oak and Ola for a birthday dinner and had an amazing time. Rather than trying to search for parking, we just paid $20 for the lot right nearby and it worked out great for us. We had a large group and our waiter, Zachary, was amazing. He had plenty of recommendations, anecdotes, stories, and jokes to keep everyone happy and full. He was definitely a highlight for all of us. We had a variety of drinks, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed them. I had the Sacred Empress and was so impressed with the balance of flavors - mostly sweet with a slight punch from the serrano cilantro simple syrup. It sounds funky but trust me on this! We also split a bottle of the Lagar De Costa Albariño, at the recommendation of our waiter, and we all loved it. For food, we started with the Lobster Ravioli, Truffle Frites, Crispy Pork Belly Bites, Crunch Love Caesar Salad, and Olives. All were devoured and I think the crowd favorites were the Lobster Ravioli (though expensive, $26 for 3) and the Pork Belly Bites. For mains, most people tended to get either the Steak Frites or the Gulf Fish Amandine (which was snapper). My steak and another at the table were both way overcooked on the first go around but they very quickly remade them (and the fries) and got them back to us in 5 minutes, perfectly cooked. It was a delicious and filling dish. The Gulf Fish Amandine was also really tasty, but it felt like it was missing something like a starch. It's a very simple and classic dish. The Pork Chop was also well loved amongst the table and many people wished they got it after trying a bite! For dessert, you absolutely have to get the Toffee Cake - it was everyone's favorite dessert. Super soft, warm, and comforting, plus that vanilla ice cream just took it to another level. We also enjoyed the Chocolate Mousse, and the free birthday dessert they kindly brought out for us. Overall, the restaurant is fun and lively, with an eclectic feel in the mismatched dining sets and decor. I really loved how it felt. It's definitely a nicer spot for a date or celebration, but worth it!

I'm glad Graze exists, because I feel like they have quite a few options that meet what I'm looking for. This time I got a kale Caesar with blackened Ahi tuna on it. The Ahi tuna was absolutely delicious. I found the kale Caesar had a bit too much sauce, it tasted extra cheesy to me, so I think this Caesar sauce which is homemade has quite a bit of cheese in it for those of you who may not be big cheese fans. What would have made this five stars is if it had less sauce, so next time I might ask for the dressing on the side so I can control putting it on myself. I appreciate that they text you when your order is ready so you can walk around, I was able to go back to my table and sit with the family until my order was ready.
