This is the second Ledo's location I have been to. We ordered two pizza's and a large salad. The salad unlike the other location I ordered from in the past wasn't fresh and was wilted. Because it was already late, I didn't hold it against them too much - but wouldn't settle for this if it was prime time. We placed an order upon arrival, and actually got the pizzas pretty quick. The manager on duty took our order and was very efficient and pleasant. Plenty of parking and conveniently located close to home. Only downfall, wish they delivered! read more

Mmmmm... Ledo pizza... Atmosphere: very casual. used to be a Pizza Hut, I believe. Food: On a good day you'll get a delicious pizza, made with their yummy sauce and they don't skimp on the cheese. The side salad is fresh and crisp and filled with veggies and the honey mustard dressing is yummy. On a bad day you'll get a burnt pizza and a not-so-fresh salad complete with wilted lettuce and soggy croutons. They don't make white pizza correctly so I never order it anymore. One time I ordered angel hair pasta with marinara and it was nothing to write home about. The Florentine sub is YUMMY. They offer more subs, burgers, pastas, strombolis, even calamari, but I usually stick with the cheese pizza. Ledo's pizza is better than most pizza chains around here. Had dinner (sit in) with my daughter this past Friday (1.8.16). It was full with sit in diners and a really busy takeout business going on at the time. We should of gone with the takeout. There was only one waitress for the whole restaurant. It was apparent that she was overworked, yet she had a smile on her face. It was dismaying to have to wait to order, our meal, and to even get our check. Our appetizers were over cooked, mine did not smell appealing, although it did taste good. Our pepperoni pizza was greasy (floating in grease). We were brought refills on our drinks (water and lemonade) as we were requesting the check. After waiting for the waitress to come and collect the check and my card for a bit, I decided to get up and go to the register and pay. The cashier made us wait (briefly) for our waitress who took the check to another register. I gave our waitress a cash tip and left, thinking that is unfortunate that she had the whole dine in restaurant to wait. I was reconciling my accounts this morning (Sunday) and noticed a Ledo charge for $6.00 more than the cost of our meal. This is what the waitress put in as her tip, although I gave her a tip. I will notify my bank on Monday. Overall this experience has left me with stating that I will not go back to that location. read more

First let me say that I love(d) Ledo's pizza. I do not however share that love with this establishment. My son doesn't like onions so I tried to get 1/4 of the pizza as cheese only and they told me couldn't do it. They would only do half cheese only so I said well how about half toppings and half cheese and then putting toppings on half of the cheese only. They were not amused. So I said fine, I'd just pick the toppings off, make it all the same. I went to sit at a table and the waitress promptly came over to tell me that the tables were for dine-in only. I looked around and there was 2 count them 2 tables being used on a weekday afternoon. I said "you're kidding right?" She said no dine-in only. I was directed to a hard wooden bench as punishment for my carry-out order. Every time the waitress passed by she had a new complaint, it was her hours, it was having to get an extra fork for a customer, it was having to lift one foot in front of the other to walk back to get the food. I might be the only person that feels like this but I just don't see what the excitement is about Ledo's pizza. I didn't find it to be that flavorful at all and it isn't really a pizza. It's more of a flatbread with crust. To make matters worse I ordered a margarita pizza and some how the forgot to add the basil! REALLY?! That's the whole point of a margarita pizza! I was so pissed that I called to complain. They ended up crediting me a new pizza that that absolutely left a poor taste in my mouth. Our waitress seemed like she'd rather be watching paint dry than servicing our group. Our mentoring group came in after a tennis workshop and we had about 10 boys. Our boys were not rowdy, but I don't think our server was enthused about serving a group of kids. I definitely sensed a little shade. Nonetheless, we kept the kindness and eventually she seemed to come around. We gave a good tip, so hopefully that cheered her up. The pizza was okay, but the sauce was much sweeter than I'd prefer. Finally found the best Ledo location! Fast, good proportions of sauce to cheese, accurate crust thinness... Bravo, Ledo. Bravo. (As a note, I have mentioned in previous Ledo reviews, this is a slightly sweeter sauce than you might be used to, but not nearly as sweet as Dominos used to be. They are square pizzas with thin crusts, a small is plenty for one, enough for two with the addition of salad//wings. I usually carryout rather than dine-in, at this particular location there were lots of small children when I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon so buyer beware. Resonable prices, but not a national chain so it's more than $6 but the increase in quality/taste is well worth it.) read more

First time ever eating at Ledos. Customer service was just okay. I asked alot of questions being my first time, he was annoyed, lol. I ordered a 14" supreme pizza. It was cut into 20 small size squares. The crust is very good, it almost taste pastry-like. One of the best I've had. The actual pizza was very greasy. The grease was soaking through everything. Avoid at all cost! Although the first appearance of Ledo's is generally thought to be warm and inviting. It may not be long until you can be assured that the real problems will surface. This Restruant is just short of a disaster. The owner is rude, unprofessional and extremely subordinate in her skills as a business owner. She gets involved in just enough community events to garner support from the neighborhood to stay afloat and keep the business open. The real jewel of the establishment is Sheila. The lovely waitress and dedicated employee of Ledo's. She is truly all that keeps it open. As she works tirelessly to smile, promptly greet you upon arrival and spread her casual, warm and friendly personality to everyone that associates themselves with the place. The food generally is fairly good and normally eat in's Offer decent service if they are moderately busy. But sometimes, and much to often, the bottom drops out and Sheila is overcome with orders, too little help and too many drop in's for the same over priced foods and lack luster personality. Customers are always wrong, and on behalf of the customer is always the same old story from the owners. Reality is Kelly looks and feels frustrated that she has to participate at any level, even a couple of hours per day. Which is about the extent of her being there to do the real job related things that any 6th grader could perform. She lacks personality to do much more than stay home with the shades pulled. Ledo satisfies in a pinch!! I like their thin crust. I love their sweet Ledo sauce. And I appreciate that "it'll be ready in 12-15 minutes." Every time! I'm not too adventurous w/my pizzas. A veggie here, a Hawaiian there...but they have a crapload of "craft" toppings for the foodies in the house. Prosciutto, goat cheese....apples? ?? I don't go to a pizza shop for calzones, but they have those and sandwiches, subs and more. As others have said, this place is a converted 90's Pizza Hut, so stick to carry out. Staff is not the most presentable, no uniforms or nametags (which I guess I expect with chains now)....but I walk in and my pizza is always ready and has been correct every time. La-la-la-Ledo! I make all my out of town friends and family eat here when they visit. It's just that good, I find myself creating fake holidays and accomplishments so that I can eat here as much as possible! The BF and I go here all the time to grab a pizza to go, and fight over a medium size pizza- square slice by square slice. Usually resolving to divide the pizza in half and trying to snag each other's slices while the other is looking away lol. The location has plenty of parking, especially since the video store next to it closed down :-(. They have a huge TV, but it is only facing the employees, which is so lame. They get to watch the game and CNN while we just hear it blaring beside our tables. The cashier service is okay, and waiter service is always fantastic. Ledo's pizza is just plain DELICIOUS! I love, love, love it. Gosh, I remember way before they became a chain and were located only on University Boulevard. I've always been a fan of their pizza. Other items on the menu ~ not so much, but the pizza! Did I mention I love, love, love it?! Now the service oftentimes leaves much to be desired. You can always tell the mood of the staff as they wear their feelings on their sleeves. I rarely eat-in as the place is loud and the service, mediocre, at best. My wife is a glutard (can't eat gluten) so we've gone around the city trying out different options and oddly enough ledos is by far one of the better ones. This is a just down home old style pizza joint. I arrived a little bit late and the pizza was cold. I was like great, cold no name brand pizza. I reluctantly seiged a couple of pieces. This Ledo's clearly doesn't understand anything about customer service! The owner, Kelly, is rude, unprofessional and extremely subordinate in her skills as a business owner. It's rather apparent where the associates gets there lack of customer appreciate and accommodation. I wanted to order a kid's meal to go. I was told that it's more of a promotional rather than an actual menu item. No where on the store's site indicates this special menu nor is there signage about the "courtesy promotional" for parents. read more

Came here to this location for the first time place a ordered and as my food was ready I proceeded to seat on one of the tables (I wasn't aware that you couldn't seat on the dining tables unless you place a order to specifically eat there my order was to go) well one of the waitress a middle age African American lady was very rude and told me I couldn't seat there because that's how she makes her end meats and I wasn't tipping her but she would let me finish my food I was like wow I didn't know I couldn't seat her I even lost my appetite read more

*****3.5***** Ledo's was my first exposure to a sit-down pizzeria besides Pizza Hut, that used to have a sit down place on New Hampshire Ave. Yes, this was a pretty looong time ago. Anyways, over the weekend I was with the family in MD and my brother had a hankering for some Ledo's. He actually wanted the spaghetti and meatballs. See, my brother cannot eat tomato sauce if it is too sour, it makes him sick. Ledo's is one of the few places that has a sweeter tomato sauce. I myself hate any food that is sweet unless it's dessert, then of course sweet rocks. For me, as soon as he mentioned Ledo's I thought of their sliders. I loooove me some sliders. So we had a choice of either going up New Hampshire towards the "town" of Colesville, or trying this location right past the border of Silver Spring into DC. Since this is relatively new and we hadn't tried it before, we decided on this spot. It is a remodeled Pizza Hut. It was Saturday evening around 10pm. The place was pretty empty, we thought that they might be closed, but they had another hour or so. The waitress was nice and promptly took our order. My brother asked for their honey mustard sauce on the side, the waitress didn't even blink at the odd request, she just said sure thing. My brother loves their honey mustard, it's creamy and slightly sweet and tangy. I usually hate honey mustard, but this was surprising good and addicting. I bet it would be awesome on a salad. She gave us a pretty big container of it too. My 4 mini burgers came out well done, topped with pickles, yellow american cheese (nicely melted), and a squirt of ketchup and mustard. The lettuce and tomatoes were on the side. They weren't out of this world delicious, but they were good and definitely hit the spot. My brother's spaghetti sauce wasn't sour, the pasta was pretty al-dente and it came with 3 huge meatballs. Also on the side were two big slices of garlic bread. I'm from Chicago. While I don't want to get sucked into a debate of Chicago-style vs. NY-style, I'll merely state that I like pizza, have eaten my share of it over my lifetime and am always willing to try new styles, toppings, etc. I went to Ledo's for the first time this past New Years with some friends. We shared a pie, some wings and a salad and all were good. A couple of months later I had a hankering for pizza again and had grown tired and was not interested in Pizza Bolis. I liked it the first time and the second time was even better. Every time I've had it since, I am amazed at Ledo's consistency in flavor and end up loving it more than before. It is one of the few times that I have ordered pizza off the menu and not been concerned with having a coupon or "deal". That wouldn't matter anyway, because the prices are VERY reasonable for the quality. I'm particularly fond of the Ledo stromboli and the white chicken florentine pizza (white sauce, chicken, roma tomatoes and spinach). If I'm at my home (a few blocks away) and am in the mood, I will always call up Ledo's. It just can't be beat. I'll do other pizza places if I'm in another neighborhood, but if I'm at or near my home, by myself or with friends, and the consensus on eating leans towards pizza, I will always order Ledo's. read more

We had this Ledo's cater a reunion for about 120 people and could not have been happier. The pizza and garlic bread were hot and delicious, and the salad was fresh. The manager Babu worked with our team to make sure we got exactly what we wanted at a reasonable price and couldn't have been more helpful. The food itself was good. The service was the worst we've ever had. A tall skinny waitress, welcomed us with attitude and eyes rolling, didn't write down our order, came back 5 mins later, no apology, asked for our order again, 10 mins later brought the wrong drinks, gave us 2 forks and knives for four people, when asked for two more sets she brought only one. Then her and the co-workers decided they would fold boxes, so I went to the front to ask for a fork and knife, and they told me they are all dirty and would bring one when they're ready. That happened 15 minutes later. She later only brought some of our order. Then we requested and spoke to the manager and he said, "she's not a server, sorry, hope you guys come back." What a garbage establishment, I don't know if it's because we didn't look like everyone else in the restaurant, but none of these employees or the manager take pride in themselves or their work. Never return to this location. In my opinion they should close this franchise, or need a major renovation in management. read more

The best thing about Ledo's is it is truly a local DMV pizza. Do I overall like New York pizza better? Sure, but I'm Italian-American and the son of New Yorkers. That said, the notion that Ledo's is "garbage" is nonsense. It's tasty and unique in its own way. To say that Flippin' or Armands or Pete's is the better DC pizza is not really fair as they serve New York, Chicago and New Haven respectfully. With the exception of the Jumbo slices of grease scarfed down by drunks in Adam's Morgan this is the only regular/affordable pizza in the area that is truly a local phenomenon. They use a sweet sauce with provolone on a thin almost cracker like crust (I actually think the crust is the best thing it's got going). A little on the greasy side but not the worst by far- I've certainly had New York pizza that is greasier. Overall three stars. This is not a gourmet California Pizza Kitchen or authentic Napolitano Pizza Margherita experience, but I certainly feel that it blows Domino's or Pizza Hut away. read more
