Water and waste had a tough time getting out and eventually just rusting through. Walter was one of three contractors that provided a bid, even though he was the most reasonable of the three, you can tell his 25+ years of trades experience provided a very thorough and transparent explanation and path to solve the issue at hand. He knew he could accomplish the work himself without an assistant so I hired him right away. He accomplished the work on time and tested the work to make sure everything flowed properly. Walter has knowledge of what's going to work and what doesn't, this is a sign of a good plumber...and he explains the options in detail. He also let me know that he performs bathroom and kitchen remodels plus flooring as he was trained in these trades and has done many of these jobs in the valley. Their pricing wasn't the lowest, but it was very fair, especially for the quality of work and professionalism they delivered. They had no hesitation pulling permits for all their work and didn't treat it as a costly add-on like some other companies. It's clear their standard of work already exceeds permit requirements, so there was no need to inflate costs just to meet code. We ran into two unexpected scope changes that couldn't have been known ahead of time. Prime Pipe handled both transparently and fairly, without price gouging or surprise markups. They also suggested a couple of optional upgrades, like running a gas line for the BBQ while the trench was open. There was no pressure at all, and the pricing was more than reasonable. He only took a portion of the money he quoted, stating "let's just do this one job at a time." When I contacted him later on that evening to reschedule another visit, he stated that his vehicle was not working and had to wait a couple of days until he could return. My wife really needed these tasks to be done, and it seemed as if John was making excuses. Regardless, we called another electrician to finish the job. What worked he managed to complete are all top notch quality work, but in the end, the job did not get completed. ---------------- During this COVID-19 quarantine, I went into panic mode when my outlets in my dining room and kitchen went out, as well as our front porch light and driveway light - all within 24-hours of each other. Yelp enabled me to send a request to different electricians in my area. John was the first to reply, so I chose him. I am glad I did. We set up up an appointment for the next day in the morning. Promptly at the scheduled time, John stopped by, dressed in his face mask and toolkit belt! Immediately he checked for circuit breaker outlets in the kitchen - one was hidden away behind some kitchen appliances. He reset the GFCI and my slave outlets had power again. A simple fix to be sure, but for this layperson, I learned something new. Next we're the front porch and driveway lights, which had both gone out at the same time. John spent time taking off the fixtures and testing wires. He commented on the age of the original fixtures. One of them had a burnt wire, which possibly was due to improper wiring. The other fixture had a timer switch that stopped working. Long story short, John told me to get newer fixtures, as the age of these were part of the problem. And one had some extra wires that didn't seem to be of any use and he moved these aside to not be used. He offered to come back to install them once I purchased some new ones (and I may take him up on his offer. After about an hour's time later he packed up. When I asked him about payment, he just said gas money would be fine, since he "really didn't do anything here." I just stood there dumbfounded! I gave him a 20 and he called it a day. Wow! It is comforting to know that there exist people in this world that won't take advantage of you in times of crisis. And with the Corona virus still making its way through San Jose, it would be so easy to scam people. I commend John for his integrity and expertise What a great guy! Recommended!

I can't speak to this because I didn't hire Keefe to drive, nor have I see him drive. But I witnessed the quality of his work and my interactions with him during this process, and he was fantastic in all aspects. I hired Keefe to install a gas line in my fireplace. Actually he had to move an existing line for a log starter that was in the wrong place for a gas insert. Not only is the externally visible piping less conspicuous than the original pipe he replaced, but he did a surprisingly good job patching the hole for the old pipe. He went out of his way to avoid making a mess inside my house and did a great job cleaning up. While it seems unlikely I'll need another gas line plumber anytime soon, I would not hesitate to hire him again. 5 stars!

I got very tired of calling Roto Rooter and paying hundreds of dollars to clear our line. Sean was able to prescribe solutions to fixing the breach of the line, 15 feet deep. He exudes confidence, as does his crew. It was done at a fair price, with the job scheduled at our convenience. The sewer line was replaced while we were out of town, so helpful, as we would not have had access to our bathrooms. There was a massive amount of rocks and dirt removed from the 15 foot deep trench, yet when I returned from my trip, there was no obvious sign of the huge work effort by Bay Area Trenchless. What I did find was that the crew had enhanced our cactus rock garden with large boulders that were excavated from the trenches dug. This was above and beyond anything I expected.
