These guys are true gentlemen. I called at 6pm with a broken water heater and crying babies and husband gone at work and ... and... freaking out. They stopped by and diagnosed the issue, made some knowledgeable recommendations, and generally calmed me down. They said they could come the next afternoon and replace my water heater for $1400. It turned out I found a lower quote from a friend of a friend who could come much earlier, so I called and offered to pay 911 Plumbing for the time they took to visit the evening before. The Short: Nick from Plumbing 911 is the nicest, most honest and professional plumber! I would highly recommend his work. Called Plumbing 911 to get a second opinion about low hot water flow my kitchen faucet. Previous plumber said that the water heater and piping was full of calcium build up and I needed to replace both the water heater and the piping to the kitchen for $1450. I had already spoken to several plumbers over the phone to get secondary estimates and none of them questioned the diagnosis of the first plumber who said I needed a new water heater and piping. After speaking to Nick on the phone for just two minutes he said that he doubted the water heater needed to be replaced and that the problem was probably in my faucet. It was the end of the day and Nick was at my house within an hour of speaking with him (6pm), within 20 minutes Nick had my faucet disassembled and cleaned, low and behold there was a small piece of rubber washer that had come loose somewhere and lodged itself in the faucet valve. Our kitchen sink backed up in the evening and we were scrambling to find someone to fix the issue that same evening. I called a few places and no one was able to help, until I got a hold of Nick. Nick was getting ready to go home for the evening, but he could tell how badly we needed to get things fixed, and so he agreed to drive over (40 min drive) and make the needed repairs. He was incredibly professional and nice. Our pipes ended up having to be replaced too and Nick went to Home Depot so he could finish the repairs that same evening. I experienced terrible customer service from Plumbing 911 this past week when a water pipe burst outside our house. I chose this company because of all their 5-star Yelp reviews. So I called Bart on Wed. evening and he said that he would come out the following day between 8 and 10 am., and that he would try to make it out on the earlier side since it was an emergency (we had to shut off the main water line). I called on Thurs. morning at 8:30 and asked for an updated ETA, and he said he'd arrive in about an hour. Soon afterwards I had to leave for work, but my mom continued to wait for him. Since he didn't show up by 10:30am, she called him and this is what Bart told her: - he had lost our phone number and address, so couldn't contact us - in any case, he couldn't make it to our house that day after all, and that it would have to wait until the following day - he 'was happy' when my mom said that she may have to go with another plumber since this was an emergency... no apologies at all from him! Apparently Bart found a new job to take care of that day, and we got sidelined. Maybe he does a great job at what he does, but I find this level of unprofessionalism unacceptable. I would discourage anyone from choosing Plumbing 911 in an emergency situation like ours. read more

Nick has done previous work at my house before. The first time which was at least 5 years ago we had a sink in one of our bathrooms that needed to be hooked up, another time about a year ago we needed the shower knob replaced and most recently our water heater needed to be replaced. What I like about Nick is he always comes out to see what needs to be done, informs us & then comes back the next day to get the job done. He is very quick, efficient and most importantly honest. We got other quotes from other plumbing companies regarding the water heater and they were at least $100 to $300 dollars more than what Nick quoted us. We never have had any issues with the work he has done. He is definitely my go to guy when I need any plumbing work done. read more

We recently had water damage in our bathroom and we needed a plumber to come out to identify the cause of the leak before we could process our insurance claim. All the other plumbers we called asked for "trip fees" and minimum charges before even seeing anything. And they all wanted 2-3 hour "window" for appointments. I called Plumbing 911 and Bart said that he was in the area and will stop by within the hour. He was true to his word, came in 40 minutes, spent 5 minutes to inspect and then talked to the adjuster (who was evaluating just then). When I asked him for his charges he said it was a simple diagnosis and he was in the area anyway, so no charge! Wow! The only reason this is not a 5 star review is because we didnt use his services as there were a lot of things we needed to do through our insurance, but if I ever needed plumbing services, I will call Plumbing 911 first. read more

I called on Friday and Nick came out on Monday. I had a bathroom faucet that was leaking. Nick did not have an Allen Wrench small enough to loosen the faucet, so I gave him my little sewing machine screwdriver and he was able to get the faucet handle off. After looking at it he said it needed a new cartridge but that it was so old (10 years) that it was all one piece and I needed to replace the whole faucet. That also meant I would need to replace all the faucets. He left and I asked him if he could get the right size Allen wrench and I would pay him for it as I needed to tighten the tub faucet and I would think about replacing the fixtures. He did bring back my little screw and a new Allen wrench and I paid him. But then I decided to go to the Plumbing Store at Camden and Lis Gatos blvd, to confirm that my faucet cartridge was not replaceable. Anthony told me he could get the part. I had taken photos of my faucet. The part came, I installed it by myself and it works fine. Point being I think Nick just wanted to sell me a whole new set of bathroom fixtures, because he said the cartridge was not replaceable. Anyway the part cost $30. Now I know how to fix it myself........ read more
